We ate hare's legs with Brussels sprouts! There was nothing to complain about!

So, not only is there rabbit, but there's also finally half a duck with red cabbage and dumplings again. We ate it today and can tell you, it was divine. A lovely crispy outer shell and very tender meat underneath. I haven't had it this good in a long time. Highly recommended, and the price/performance ratio is absolutely top-notch. A very nice, traditional restaurant in the center of Jüterbog. We visited as a family and everyone found something delicious on the menu. The Buergarten was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The value for money was also good. I can recommend the Schmied without hesitation.

Everything except the goulash is recommended. We've been there twice at different times and were disappointed both times. The first time, the order was canceled. Better to avoid it entirely. Otherwise, friendly service and a very nice atmosphere.

A quaint, rustic restaurant with German cuisine and an extensive menu. The staff is very attentive, and we didn't have to wait long for our food on Saturday evening. Beforehand, we were greeted with homemade peach yogurt. It was delicious, and the dessert was perfect; the fried ice cream won us over.

We were there on a Monday and nothing else was open. The service was very good, but the food was completely overpriced for what was on offer. The portions were small, the salad consisted of 5 rocket leaves. My cream slices with spaetzle were dry, too many spaetzle and not enough sauce, and the liver was also missing the gravy.

The restaurant is really nice, but unfortunately the food wasn't good at all, the vegetables were overcooked and oversalted, the potatoes were watery and sweet, the fried potatoes were greasy and not fried long enough, unseasoned, the fish was poorly filleted. That's such a shame, with a little more affection it could be perfect, but unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened to us.

bad GDR food at West German prices. Tasteless pork chop with "seasoned meat" and cheap processed cheese. Almost 20 euros for that and a large cola 5.2€?? We are not in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. And today my stomach is upset.

After three weeks I was back in Jüterbog for work and to finish it off I went to the blacksmith. Again great food and very customer focused staff. I always enjoy coming to the blacksmith. Thank you for the work of the entire team.

So, now it's the blacksmith's turn in Jüterbog. And in the very best sense. Coincidence took us to the beautiful village of Jüterbog as part of a motorcycle ride. Warm weather and a few kilometers covered ensured that we were thirsty and hungry. We discovered this same restoration at the market. We entered the house around 3 p.m. The friendliness, cleanliness and quality we experienced doesn't happen every day. The restaurant, the beer garden and the hall are all a feast for the eyes. The whole house is lovingly furnished, the host is very welcoming and the waitress is friendly and wears appropriate costumes. And first the food. It probably doesn't get any better. Out of interest, I entered the ballroom and was astonished to see a party of perhaps 80 people in the air-conditioned room. You didn't notice any of this company in the restaurant and there was no trace of hecticness or overwork among the staff. This indicates an excellent organization and great colleagues. I could write a lot more, it's better to go. A big thank you to the colleagues in the house for the lovely stay. Stay with us!

We happened to be in the area and found this beautiful place at the market, the beer garden is very cozy and attractive, people like to linger here. The service was excellent and the food was very good, I have never eaten such delicious wild goulash before 😋 we will definitely be back and can happily recommend this house, thank you very much for everything and many more satisfied guests.

I would like to share an experience I recently had at your restaurant. First of all, I would like to emphasize that I don't want to say anything about the food. During my visit, at 8pm I asked if it was okay to place another order and was confirmed that it was possible. Shortly afterwards, while I was still eating, I was informed that the restaurant closed at 9 p.m. and that I should please pay. This situation leaves me with a questionable impression. I understand the need to close on time, however I would have liked this information to have been communicated earlier and in a more pleasant manner. Best regards,

After two unsuccessful attempts to get something to eat on our motorcycle tour, we ended up at the blacksmith in Jüterbog. Cozy beer garden, friendly and attentive service and the food was so delicious. We will definitely come back and then with the large motorcycle group.

Very good home cooking, we had herring salad with fried potatoes, it was super tasty. Portion size was good, price-performance ratio was right, friendly and fast service, we'll be back.

We generally eat here once in June on our skate vacation. This year we were again very satisfied with the food. The waitress was probably new and not very keen on my wife's statement that the dishes had to be gluten-free. Afterwards everything worked fine - but with start-up problems. You can always eat well here and at fair prices. 45 euros for 2 people is cheap and reasonable these days.

I was at the inn for lunch on Saturday April 20th, 2024. There were four of us. They simply forgot to prepare my food. There were only about 10 guests in the inn. There was no apology, no offer or anything to reassure me. Simply rude and dismissive.

With no vegan options on the menu, the chef conjured up a delicious and individual meal for me. The waitress was even attentive enough not to reserve me any free snacks containing animal products. Thanks for the service and the delicious food.

The main courses were very good, but unfortunately the soup of the day was too salty and couldn't be eaten.

Went in hungry on a Friday afternoon. The kitchen was warm and there was everything on the menu. We ordered schnitzel with cream mushrooms and a fried egg. There was a delicious greeting from the kitchen in advance. The schnitzel was tasty and the portion was sufficient. Everything as it should be. Can recommend the blacksmith!

Today there were three of us (2 adults, 1 child aged 6) at the Gasthaus zum Schmied. The location itself is clean and cozy. The food is very tasty but unfortunately we went home hungry. The farmer's breakfast for a mere €15 consisted of a chopped potato with 1-2 eggs, served on a starter plate. The egg tart with applesauce for just under €6 was actually only a thin one, so the dwarf finished the fries with his dad. The schnitzel with fries was smaller than expected. But OK. It was very tasty, but unfortunately not normal portions. More like pensioner plates. Ultimately, we went home dissatisfied and with almost €60 less in our pockets to make ourselves something to eat.

Beautiful rustic inn with absolutely brilliant dishes that were lovingly prepared. I found the unusual seating exciting. I don't know if this was born out of necessity or was reused in a modern way. 🤣 But it's so awesome. And even if it looks hard at first glance, it is incredibly comfortable. Many thanks to the super friendly service. And a very big thank you to the chef. The greeting from the kitchen was incredibly tasty. 💕 And if you want to know what the greeting from the kitchen was, you should pay a visit to the inn.
