Gasthaus zum Schmied Jüterbog in Jüterbog

bad GDR food at West German prices. Tasteless pork chop with "seasoned meat" and cheap processed cheese. Almost 20 euros for that and a large cola 5.2€?? We are not in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. And today my stomach is upset.

After three weeks I was back in Jüterbog for work and to finish it off I went to the blacksmith. Again great food and very customer focused staff. I always enjoy coming to the blacksmith. Thank you for the work of the entire team.

Very long waiting time for food, food, very tasteless and not fresh, and lukewarm, toilets dirty and no toilet paper... and owner very unfriendly and cheeky, dealing with customers impossible.. all a shame

The food was good (venison goulash with red cabbage and fried potatoes, the service was friendly and attentive. There is a star deduction for "card payment only from 30€, you are under 30€", although I had previously rounded up the tip to 30€. ( 30 < 30???)

Reserved here on the way through Jüterbog and sat nicely in the courtyard. The food was very tasty and the service was great here. Many thanks to the team, we would love to come back.

So, now it's the blacksmith's turn in Jüterbog. And in the very best sense. Coincidence took us to the beautiful village of Jüterbog as part of a motorcycle ride. Warm weather and a few kilometers covered ensured that we were thirsty and hungry. We discovered this same restoration at the market. We entered the house around 3 p.m. The friendliness, cleanliness and quality we experienced doesn't happen every day. The restaurant, the beer garden and the hall are all a feast for the eyes. The whole house is lovingly furnished, the host is very welcoming and the waitress is friendly and wears appropriate costumes. And first the food. It probably doesn't get any better. Out of interest, I entered the ballroom and was astonished to see a party of perhaps 80 people in the air-conditioned room. You didn't notice any of this company in the restaurant and there was no trace of hecticness or overwork among the staff. This indicates an excellent organization and great colleagues. I could write a lot more, it's better to go. A big thank you to the colleagues in the house for the lovely stay. Stay with us!

We happened to be in the area and found this beautiful place at the market, the beer garden is very cozy and attractive, people like to linger here. The service was excellent and the food was very good, I have never eaten such delicious wild goulash before 😋 we will definitely be back and can happily recommend this house, thank you very much for everything and many more satisfied guests.

I would like to share an experience I recently had at your restaurant. First of all, I would like to emphasize that I don't want to say anything about the food. During my visit, at 8pm I asked if it was okay to place another order and was confirmed that it was possible. Shortly afterwards, while I was still eating, I was informed that the restaurant closed at 9 p.m. and that I should please pay. This situation leaves me with a questionable impression. I understand the need to close on time, however I would have liked this information to have been communicated earlier and in a more pleasant manner. Best regards,

After two unsuccessful attempts to get something to eat on our motorcycle tour, we ended up at the blacksmith in Jüterbog. Cozy beer garden, friendly and attentive service and the food was so delicious. We will definitely come back and then with the large motorcycle group.

Very good home cooking, we had herring salad with fried potatoes, it was super tasty. Portion size was good, price-performance ratio was right, friendly and fast service, we'll be back.

We generally eat here once in June on our skate vacation. This year we were again very satisfied with the food. The waitress was probably new and not very keen on my wife's statement that the dishes had to be gluten-free. Afterwards everything worked fine - but with start-up problems. You can always eat well here and at fair prices. 45 euros for 2 people is cheap and reasonable these days.

I was at the inn for lunch on Saturday April 20th, 2024. There were four of us. They simply forgot to prepare my food. There were only about 10 guests in the inn. There was no apology, no offer or anything to reassure me. Simply rude and dismissive.

With no vegan options on the menu, the chef conjured up a delicious and individual meal for me. The waitress was even attentive enough not to reserve me any free snacks containing animal products. Thanks for the service and the delicious food.

The main courses were very good, but unfortunately the soup of the day was too salty and couldn't be eaten.

Went to this restaurant for the final dinner after a state party conference. 30 people. It was great and will be back.

Went in hungry on a Friday afternoon. The kitchen was warm and there was everything on the menu. We ordered schnitzel with cream mushrooms and a fried egg. There was a delicious greeting from the kitchen in advance. The schnitzel was tasty and the portion was sufficient. Everything as it should be. Can recommend the blacksmith!

Today there were three of us (2 adults, 1 child aged 6) at the Gasthaus zum Schmied. The location itself is clean and cozy. The food is very tasty but unfortunately we went home hungry. The farmer's breakfast for a mere €15 consisted of a chopped potato with 1-2 eggs, served on a starter plate. The egg tart with applesauce for just under €6 was actually only a thin one, so the dwarf finished the fries with his dad. The schnitzel with fries was smaller than expected. But OK. It was very tasty, but unfortunately not normal portions. More like pensioner plates. Ultimately, we went home dissatisfied and with almost €60 less in our pockets to make ourselves something to eat.

Beautiful rustic inn with absolutely brilliant dishes that were lovingly prepared. I found the unusual seating exciting. I don't know if this was born out of necessity or was reused in a modern way. 🤣 But it's so awesome. And even if it looks hard at first glance, it is incredibly comfortable. Many thanks to the super friendly service. And a very big thank you to the chef. The greeting from the kitchen was incredibly tasty. 💕 And if you want to know what the greeting from the kitchen was, you should pay a visit to the inn.

We were there in the evening just before closing and received a warm welcome. The food was very tasty, only that it was a bit overdone with the spices, but otherwise only recommended, the prices are also reasonable, would be happy to eat again at any time.

The food came to the table freshly prepared and was really tasty. Our young waiter was very nice, polite and attentive. Many an old hand can take an example from this. The atmosphere was also very pretty and appropriately decorated for Christmas. I would also give 5 stars if it hadn't been so tight. On our next visit we will make sure we don't get a table by the window.

The ambience is very nice and the service tries to make an effort, but it seems very forced. I doubt whether criticism is understood and implemented. The menu is a bit confusing as the name of the dish describes something in the region, but not the dish. The wild boar goulash I chose was wild boar slices, as there was basically no sauce, the 3 small dumplings and the red cabbage were frozen goods without spices or taste. (Does the chef even know what his dishes taste like) A little more passion Service and in the kitchen and the restaurant are impressive.

Ich war hochschwanger und musste so dringend auf die Toilette. Auf der einen Seite verstehe ich, dass man nicht jeden auf Toilette lassen kann, der dort nicht zu Gast ist. Aber ich musste so dringend auf die Toilette und hätte mir mehr Freundlichkeit gewünscht. Ich wusste nicht weiter und bin ins Resturant gegangen, ich habe sogar Geld angeboten. Vor allem von einem Mann musste ich mir erklären lassen, dass es ihm offensichtlich egal war, dass ich hochschwanger war und nicht auf Toilette gehen durfte. Traurig, da fragt man sich, wo die Menschlichkeit hin ist. Wenigsten durfte ich ohne Probleme im Nachbarresturant auf die Toilette gehen. Also ich werde definitiv keine Kundin mehr sein.

Das Essen ist hier 1A. Alles frisch zubereitet. Tolles Restaurant. Die Bedienung hat Spaß bei Arbeit.

Noch drei Sterne für den guten Willen... Der Schmied gilt eigentlich als Institution für gutes Essen und Gastfreundschaft. Aber das war wohl mal. Die Bedienung war leider nicht sehr freundlich und für das, was auf den Tellern kredenzt wurde, muss ich nicht ins Restaurant. Mischgemüse aus der Dose kann ich mir auch selbst warm machen, Tiefkühlpommes selbst in den Ofen schieben. Tut mir leid, aber ich komme nicht wieder.

Das Team war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es wurde auf alle Wünsche eingegangen. Das Essen war super schnell da. Hat mega lecker geschmeckt. Wir hatten Halbe Ente mit Rotkohl. Frische und selbstgemachte Beilagen. Einfach ein Perfekter Abend.

Es war sehr schön mal wieder in der alten Heimat zu sein zum Familienfest und so gut zusammenzusitzen in dem tollen Ambiente und dem fantastischen Essen. Selbstverständlich auch ein Lob an den Service und ein Danke dem Chef, der für unser Wohlbefinden den Kamin anzündete.

Wir sind von unseren 4 Tagen Aufenthalt in Jüterbog 3x hier Essen gewesen. Essen/Personal/Ambiente einfach super.

Service schlecht gelaunt. Wenn ich anmerke, Kartoffelpüree ist etwas trocken und als Antwort bekomme, dass ich dazu Sauce bestellen muss, ist das etwas fraglich.

Wir essen hier mit meinem Mann immer zu besonderen Anlässen, wir finden das Restaurant, Essen und Personal einfach Klasse und die Stadt Jüterbog wunderschön ⭐🌞🍀 Gutes Bier und ein tolles Schnitzel👍

Wir haben hier eine Hochzeit gefeiert. Das Buffet im extra Raum war ansprechend rustikal. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und es gab viel Platz zum Tanzen.

Wir waren schon einige Male in diesem Lokal und es wird leider immer schlechter. Wir mussten sehr lange warten bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde anschließend dauerten die Getränke weiterhin sehr lang. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut. Leider konnten wir keine weiteren Getränke bestellen ( es kam niemand) Bezahlen konnten wir erst nachdem wir jns auf die Suche nach der Kellnerin machten. Wir hatten sie gefunden, sie erzählte angeregt Mut der Tresenkraft. Obwohl wir um die Rechnung baten dauerte es wieder ewig. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass man nicht erwünscht war. Nochmal nicht
