Ein sehr schönes Gasthaus wo Service und Essen hervorragend ist, wurden sehr freundlich bedient das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt alles frisch zubereitet

Nettes Restaurant mit leckeren lokalen Speisen zu annehmbaren Preisen. Der Service war sehr nett, die Portionen waren riesig. Es scheint sehr gut besucht zu sein, am folgenden Tag hatte man uns nur einen Platz im Regen draußen angeboten, telefonisch war vorher niemand mehrfach zu erreichen für eine Reservierung.

Im Gasthaus zum Löwen erwartet einen ein schönes uriges Gasthaus. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Die Soße zum Zwiebelrostbraten war ein Gedicht.

Hier fühlt man sich rundum wohl.

Sehr, sehr gutes Essen. Ich hatte einen Salat mit Grillgemüse. Frisch und knackig und eine große Portion. Super freundlicher und schneller Service. Kann ich jeden nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Servus zusammen, Wir waren in diesen Gasthaus draußen zum essen, Bestellt wurde ein kleiner Salat der wirklich frisch und lecker war. Sowie Lindenberger Schmankerlteller und Löwen Grillplatte 300 g. Die Wartezeit aufs Essen und der Service war vollkommen okay und zuvorkommend, das Essen was wir bestellt haben war für unseren Geschmack sehr sehr gut 👍 und wir würden dieses Gasthaus weiterempfehlen. Wir freun uns noch weitere Gerichte zu probieren.

Essen ist gut, Service sehr nett und der Mix der Küche aus spanisch und europäisch echt lecker. Preislich auf inzwischen normalem deutschem Niveau.

Es war sehr gut. Ich war sehr froh dort essen zu können, eine Reservierung sollte man haben, wenn man sicher einen Tisch möchte. Sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Service und hervorragendes Essen.

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr gut, werde nochmals zum Essen wiederkommen.

Wir haben nur etwas getrunken, Service war toll und ich habe nichts auszusetzen.

Gutes Restaurant, hatten alle ein Allgäuer Pfännle mit Spätzle (sowie extra Pommes dazu) und waren sehr zufrieden. Vom Ambiente eher etwas uriger und etwas laut, dies lässt sich aber wohl nicht vermeiden, da es wohl immer recht gut besucht ist. Von daher sollte man auch immer reservieren vorher. Kommen sicherlich mal wieder vorbei. 5 Sterne

Despite it being Saturday and the restaurant being very crowded, the service was very friendly and efficient. I didn't have a reservation, but after asking, I was able to get a nice table. The food was very good and fairly priced. I'm very impressed.

The food was sensational. I had a burger with fries there. Juicy, large, and the fries were perfectly seasoned and nice and crispy. There was nothing else to complain about.

We had a very pleasant visit to the Gasthaus Löwen in Lindenberg. The reservation process was seamless, and our request for a corner table was accommodated. We also had no problems with our dog. The appetizers were delicious, and the main courses were absolutely superb: the meat was cooked to perfection, the quality was excellent, and the side dishes were outstanding. The service was simply top-notch! The value for money is definitely right. We'll gladly return. Definitely a 5+ star rating.

Simply fantastic. We were there today, October 31st, at around 5:30 pm. Even though all the tables were occupied, and the only free one was reserved, the owner kindly gave us three the reserved table for an hour. And the food was amazing. Real German home cooking. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to the owner and the efficient staff.

Even though the restaurant was three-quarters empty, there was apparently no room for a single person—I'm never coming back here. The waitress could have at least asked how long I wanted to stay or let me sit at an already occupied table upon request! I've never experienced such unfriendly behavior in the Allgäu region.

We went to the Gasthaus zum Löwen today without a reservation. We got a great seat in the lovely beer garden. A table became available after a few minutes, so we could have gone inside. The farmer's schnitzel, baked potato with grilled vegetables, and the Löwenburger are highly recommended. The portion sizes and flavor were excellent. The service was great, very attentive and friendly.

I regularly go to different restaurants and have eaten thousands of schnitzels in my life! Seriously, people! None have been as good as what I ate here! Everything is perfect here, and everyone has a smile on their face! You can eat here without having to worry about whether it's good. Everything is 10/10, and we will be back!

Unfortunately, we received a "fully booked" cancellation for our first reservation via Google. We didn't receive any response at all for our second online reservation. That's a real shame.

We were coming from out of town and were spontaneously looking for a restaurant for our first evening of vacation. We called and two hours later we had a table for three people. We ordered two Allgäuer Pfanne dishes and one Max & Moritz dish for our 8-year-old son. Not only was it incredibly delicious, but it was also beautifully presented and of top quality! We highly recommend it!

Update for the third time: still a really good, honest restaurant with a great team, from the chef to the kitchen staff. Service: Excellent, food: really good. This time we had farmer's schnitzel and liver dumpling soup, all handcrafted and simply delicious. We'd love to come back 😊 One of the best places in the area – tastes great, we had the Löwengrillteller and Allgäuer schnitzel – top quality, as well as the Kässpätzle and Rösti, and salad… and very attentive, lightning-fast service – generous portions, even for me 😁 And Meckatzer beer – delicious! We'd love to come back…

Very tasty food, arrived relatively quickly

The food is really good if you like traditional German cuisine.

We spontaneously dropped in on Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m. All the tables were taken. The staff told us that a table would be free in two minutes. 😃. The entire staff was running around, it was so busy. And yet: always a smile, friendly, and courteous. They sometimes forgot something, but they're only human. The place was packed. We really enjoyed the food (cheese schnitzel, rösti with grilled vegetables), and the beer was delicious, too.

A very nice inn, unfortunately a rare find these days. Excellent food, friendly service, and simply homely. We didn't have a reservation and came spontaneously; the manager pulled out his list and assigned us a table in the lovely beer garden. We were very satisfied. Thanks to the entire Löwen team.

It was a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was packed. But somehow the chef managed to find a table for two. About a third of the dishes were Bavarian, and the rest were more mainstream. We had pancake soup, pork fillet with spaetzle, and rösti with grilled vegetables, and... It was delicious and filling. 👍

I reserved online but couldn't find it until I searched several times. The food was served after 40 minutes, and the people who arrived after me were served first. The food was off the shelf and the portions were okay. The owner seemed overwhelmed and only responded after I asked five times whether I could pay. Then a waitress came and started clearing the table and asked if we wanted anything else. I was only allowed to pay after another reminder. In summary, thank you, not again.

This place is awful, please don‘t go there! The manager is the old village man with this kind of attitude. We wait for our order 1 hour. They have event and didn’t tell us in advance that we will wait 1 hour for our lunch. And the big awful thing was like every old German guy *they didn’t apologise or tell us the truth. ( we want from them to tell us in advance“ we have big event the kitchen is busy do you want to stay and give us a Choice) Please don‘t go there and spend your money. They don‘ t know what is service and how to treat customers. We were very disappointed.

The food was delicious, but the service was so-so. Many tables said "reserved" even though they weren't. The toilet was dirty, and the toilet brush was really, really bad...

Friendly staff, good selection of German food with great taste, senior citizen menu available.

The employee (boss?) initially seemed a bit uncomfortable with our large dog, but that quickly changed. The dog even got some water, and the employee mopped up the resulting giant puddle on the wooden floor, not only without complaining but very kindly. The wait for the food was a little longer than expected. But the food, all four meals, was really, really delicious. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of dining at Gasthaus zum Löwen recently and I can say with complete confidence that it was an outstanding gastronomic experience. The restaurant is located in the heart of Lindenberg im Allgäu, in an excellent location that is very accessible to both locals and visitors. Let's start with the culinary part of my visit. I chose the pike perch fillet, which was simply immaculately presented on the plate. The fish was fried to perfection – crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Fresh asparagus was served with it, which not only tasted harmoniously with the zander, but also had a pleasant, juicy texture. The combination was a true taste delight and left nothing to be desired. Before the main course I also enjoyed a flatbread soup, which for me was the perfect start to this menu. The soup was delicious and hearty, with a wonderful aroma that immediately transported me to traditional German cuisine. The service at the Gasthaus zum Löwen deserves special mention. The service was not only professional, but also extremely friendly and accommodating. You immediately felt welcome and well looked after, which further enhanced the entire experience. The reservation was also uncomplicated, which is worth an additional point in this day and age. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, which makes the stay even more pleasant. You can tell that there is a lot of attention to detail, both in the decor and in the way the food is presented. In summary, I can say that the Gasthaus zum Löwen in Lindenberg im Allgäu is a true jewel of German gastronomy. The excellent dishes, the friendly service and the central location make it an ideal place for a successful evening. I would definitely like to come back and can highly recommend the inn. An absolutely safe bank when it comes to food, drink and service! We like the Allgäu pan the best, although burgers, goulash, etc. are no less good. So please carry on like this! We always like to come back!

My steak was very tough & watery and had hardly any flavor. I don't understand the lion hype. They also changed the burger from Angus steak to ground beef, totally not recommended.
