We spontaneously visited Zirngibl on Sunday afternoon. We were seated in a room where a communion party was taking place. Thanks to the room's excellent acoustics, it wasn't a problem, just a bit warm. The food selection was fantastic, with rare Maibock and a generous portion of roast meat. The side dishes were almost too filling. The desserts were also excellent. The prices were mid-range. We'll be back.

The food (one Wiener Schnitzel with fries and pork fillet) was very tasteless, not to say bland. The schnitzel was almost certainly standard frozen, and the fries had been in the fryer for far too long twice. Twice, because I had to send one back. The pork fillet was good, but the sauce tasted of nothing. The service was friendly, quick, and very helpful. The atmosphere (upstairs in the dining room) was okay. The chairs (upstairs in the dining room) are very low, making the seating a bit uncomfortable. Overall, unfortunately, very disappointing. We've had much better food elsewhere.

Yes, the food was good 👍 we were in the garden but unfortunately we had to wait a long time. There were 4 tables occupied and then there wasn't enough time for the second drink. We had to wait 30 minutes after asking to pay. It's a shame.

Last week, I was privileged to provide musical accompaniment for a birthday party at the beautiful Gasthaus Zirngibl, and I'm still thrilled. The rustic ambiance and the large, yet cozy hall upstairs provide a wonderful setting for any type of celebration. The food is delicious, and the service is simply outstanding. For me as a DJ, the lighting options and acoustics naturally play an important role. Both are more than met in the ballroom of the Gasthaus Zirngibl. A beautiful beer garden with delicious food and friendly staff. In my opinion, the manager herself runs things too harshly. "Mistakes" should never be clarified in front of the guests!

Yesterday, we were there for the first time with the family for a birthday party. A friendly welcome and prompt service. The selection of dishes is huge, and the portions would make even big eaters sweat. Everything was delicious and tasty. I've rarely experienced better value for money. Definitely a recommendation for Bavarian cuisine. There's a wide selection of game meat. You can also buy portioned, vacuum-packed game to take home.

Delicious schnitzel with fries. We asked for a senior portion, which was more than enough. And the side salad was delicious.

A very quaint restaurant; we got a seat even without a reservation. My husband had the venison liver dumpling soup, which was delicious. The main course was an XXL Cordon Bleu, absolutely amazing; we had to have half of it packed away. At least 11 out of 10! Highly recommended for those with a big appetite.

Tip for older people: take 1 portion together or home, hungry people eat large portions

We had the pleasure of dining at this typical Bavarian restaurant and the experience was truly beyond our expectations. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel like we were in Bavaria right away, with a traditional setting that perfectly recalls the local roots. The food was delicious: generous dishes, full of flavour and prepared with fresh ingredients, just as you would expect in a Bavarian restaurant. The local specialities were a real treat for the palate! Another aspect that made the evening even more special was the service. Our waitress, Ilaria, was incredibly kind and professional. Even though we were late, she greeted us with a smile and made us feel at ease straight away, without making us feel late. It is clear that Ilaria knows her job and loves to make her customers feel welcome. If you are looking for a restaurant where you can taste authentic Bavarian delicacies in a welcoming environment and with impeccable service, this is the place to be. We can't wait to come back for more typical dishes!

A place to be upset, not to linger Unfortunately, today's visit to the Zirngibl Inn was a complete disappointment. Despite making a reservation in good time, we were seated without explanation in one of the most unattractive places in the entire restaurant - right next to the noisy children's playground. An impertinence for anyone who wants to dine in peace. What was even more serious, however, was the way we were met: the service was not only unfriendly, but downright dismissive. Requests for changes on our part were not taken into account in any way - not even an attempt was made to respond to them. Apparently the guests here are seen more as a nuisance than as a welcome visitor. An inn that is committed to tradition and hospitality should urgently work on both. We cannot visit again in this form.

We had dinner there yesterday. There was a lot, but it tasted good too... but schnitzel should have been a little darker. Asparagus wasn't quite ready. Unfortunately, despite the jacket, it was incredibly cold and uncomfortable because all the doors were open. Service was very quick and friendly.

There is something for everyone in terms of price and you can get more for more expensive items. I had the roasted onion roast and my request to have it “done” was complied with. This was extremely tasty and I will definitely choose it again next time. Otherwise the prices for the drinks are okay and the menu has a good selection to offer. We had fast and friendly service. There were enough parking spaces. It makes sense to reserve. Conclusion: Very nice style, real restaurant, which I would happily recommend.

The CordonBleu on offer for €24.90 may well be worth the money for the cost of the goods. However, a normal eater can only manage half of that. We knew this from our first visit. So we ordered a Cordon Bleu together. It's a shame to collect €2.50 as plate money here! After all, we didn’t bring our own cake. But the worst thing was our waiter, who was really great at his job. However, it fails greatly in terms of (guest) friendliness. I ordered ketshup and mayo and received no response. Afterwards I ask another very friendly waiter about it. Afterwards, the unfriendly cellar came to the table snidely and asked me if I needed the ketchup and mayo twice. Another person at our table was from abroad and didn't know our currency. Keller complained twice about whether she could still do it or whether he should come again. An absolute no-go! The atmosphere is very nice. The other waiters were very friendly.

We were guests at a celebration. Wonderful side room, space for around 50 people. Nice, fast service, large selection of food and drinks. The taste is absolutely first class. Portion sizes are sometimes devastating, some of us were full to the brim and then still had a lot to pack up 🙈 Gladly again!

Das Essen war der Hammer. Supergut und es gibt nichts zu meckern. Nur... es ist viel zu viel auf dem Teller! Ich weiß nicht, wer diese großen Portionen essen kann, außer man ist männlich und noch jung. Leider hatten wir diese Personengruppe nicht dabei und jeder stöhnte und hatte zu kämpfen diese Riesenportion zu essen. Ja gut, man kann es sich einpacken lassen und die Bedienung hatte auch schon das Equipment parat. Aber mir schmeckt z.B. das Essen am Tag danach nicht so besonders. Warum geht es nicht mit weniger und mehr Freude am Essen? Das hätte uns heute besser gefallen.

The dishes are oversized. You'll still get something out of it for a few days. However, it is quite high in fat. At least for me, I had butter mackerel fillet with pearl barley risotto. And everything in the plate was swimming in butter. Someone meant too well. I didn't feel well for 2 days. Otherwise it would have tasted perfect. Little choice for vegetarians, it's more for meat lovers!

At Gasthaus Zirngibl everything is just right. The service is on point and always friendly, and the food is always delicious. Regardless of whether it's from the daily menu or the regular menu, you'll always find something you're in the mood for. The ambience inside is classically beautiful, in summer we love sitting in the beer garden. You can always find somewhere to park your bike or car.

We only visit this restaurant when we travel from the north to the south on vacation. Then a stopover at the Zirngibl inn is always a pleasure for us. We look forward to the delicious food, the aperitifs, the good wines and the hospitality. It's a shame we live so far away.

Bam, what was that? Beautiful inn, very nice service, great food and huge portions. Even though it was packed and we didn't have a reservation, they did everything they could to accommodate us, even though there were only two of us. The menu is very diverse, there should be something for everyone. When the food arrived we were really overwhelmed by the quantity (each of the dishes would have easily been enough for both of us) and very impressed by the taste and presentation. When we couldn't do it anymore, there were of course takeaway containers. An all-round successful evening and something else for the next few days... perfect and would be happy again!

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the restaurant. The price-performance ratio is not at all right. We had, among other things, a veal cream roast - but it was a rolled veal roast with a lot of fat. When asked whether the Wiener Schnitzel could also be made with pork schnitzel (instead of veal), the answer was no, even though a pork cordon bleu was on the menu. It would have been the same schnitzel. We were very disappointed with the Wiener Schnitzel (veal). At a price of €27.90, I expect a pounded, wafer-thin schnitzel that is not completely riddled with fibers. The carrots from the vegetables were also way too hard. Conclusion: At these prices, it's better to have smaller portions and pay more attention to quality.

The portions are large and the food is very tasty and attractively prepared. The staff is really great, very friendly and you can tell that they are passionate about their job. A table reservation is a must as the house is very busy.

I have often heard about Zirngibl and was really looking forward to my first visit on the first holiday. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. My onion roast with fried potatoes was totally boring. Unseasoned and the meat was difficult to chew. It felt like 2 kg of fried potatoes on the plate, but they were absolutely unseasoned and not good. The sauce for the Burgundy roast was too salty. The Kaiserschmarn was dipped in rum, which is not on the menu. We were angry because the children also wanted to eat Kaiserschmarn. The chef couldn't handle the criticism at all and argued. If he had just said, I'm sorry. Conclusion: Once and never again

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was marked by disappointing experiences, both in terms of taste and service. On the one hand, the Kaiserschmarrn was a bitter disappointment. The alcohol content was so strong that it overpowered the flavor of the dish and stood out unpleasantly. After I pointed this out to the waiter, I received an unhelpful and almost didactic response: They tried to convince me that I was mistaken. My humorous suggestion that you would have to have a drinking problem not to notice this was not addressed further. Instead, there was an attempt to dismiss the matter without seriously considering the criticism. It was obvious that either the temperature was too low or alcohol had been added afterwards. It was also annoying that the rum used was not mentioned in the menu - an important point, especially for guests who do not want alcohol. The chef's behavior topped it all off: his reaction to my criticism was not only unprofessional, but also inappropriate. His comment that I was “obviously not Bavarian” and therefore didn’t know that rum was common in Kaiserschmarrn was as unnecessary as it was rude. It's one thing to defend regional traditions, but another to discount a guest's legitimate objections. The Burgundy roast, on the other hand, showed that the kitchen definitely has potential: the meat was cooked perfectly and the spaetzle was also a delight. Unfortunately, the sauce was inedible - it was clearly too salty. When I mentioned this, I received another succinct answer: taste is subjective. But the following applies here: a little too much salt may be a matter of taste, but over-salted is still over-salted. Conclusion: The cuisine shows technical skill, but gross errors and an inappropriate approach to criticism spoil the overall experience. Not only is there a lack of care in preparation, but also service orientation. Criticism should be accepted and not dismissed with excuses. Unfortunately, this leaves a bad aftertaste - in the truest sense of the word.

The three of us were there for dinner today. The service staff were consistently courteous, attentive and competent. The food (we had Schäufele, Kässpatzen and a veggie burger) was excellent, we would love to come back.

We went here for dinner for the first time. In retrospect I have to say, unfortunately. Unfortunately, because it was really delicious. I had roast wild boar. Went to Zirngibl for the first time with a group of 10 people. With reservation. None of those present could find anything negative. Prices are a little higher, but with the notoriously huge portions, you'll probably eat twice each time. At least for most of our group. Service was impeccable and it should be emphasized that all the food was delivered at the same time. We have therefore already planned to come back.

The potions are very plentiful, the food is of good quality, the environment is really relaxing and very characteristic. Highly recommended for those who want to taste the true Bavarian culture. The only negative note is the waiter with the tattoo on his arm, which, despite wanting to be nice at all costs in the end, was inappropriate and in some cases even a little rude!

Hello, we have eaten there several times as we also live in Bad Abbach. In my opinion, the food is only average for the price, nevertheless we wanted to try it again today and had ordered roast pork and children's schnitzel. The food was inedible, when the waiter asked us why we left so much left over, we said that the meat was very dry and toe, after checking in the kitchen the chef agreed with us and gave us a quarter bill. When we paid the bill we were suddenly treated very arrogantly. Sorry, but with a guest with a name like that and such praise, I expect to eat well and not be treated arrogantly. In my opinion the quality is very poor, which was also our last visit there.

Classic Bavarian restaurants in the truest sense of the word are rarely found anymore. Cooked with love. If you like game, you've come to the right place.

So some things are definitely not quite right here. The breaded cutlet tasted like shoe soles with fatty rinds. Then the so-called chef also said that he wouldn't take it back even though it was flax and there was too much fat in it🤮. 20€ for literally rubbish is definitely not recommended for anyone. Even the potato salad was extremely bad. Never again in life!!!!
