Very close… it was simply delicious!!! Only recommended!

Das Essen war hervorragend!!! Die Matjes-Platte war das ausgeschriebene Saison-Special und war ein Geschmackserlebnis! Tolle Portion, tolles Aussehen, total abwechslungsreiche und gut abgestimmtes Mischung verschiedenster Beilagen und Zutaten. Meine Frau hatte die Gamba-Spieße, die nicht sparsam gespickt waren. Alles lecker… durfte probieren 😜 Der Service: Sehr familiär und zuvorkommend und freundlich… einfach nett! Bei jedem Gericht, was an den Nachbartischen serviert wurde, habe ich kurz überlegt, noch etwas zu bestellen. Mit anderen Worten: Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!! 👍🏻

Service and food always a dream. I can only recommend it to everyone.

A pity. Our conclusion of the evening. Listless, lazy, unmotivated service. Every drink after the 1st ROUND had to be ordered personally by us as guests at the counter.... Dear Wermelskirchen family! Honestly. Luckily we have plenty of friendlier places to stop in both Bensberg and Gladbach.

The food was very tasty; But that's it. We were there as a family with a small child, and I have to say, child-friendly is something else!! It's actually clear that children are sometimes louder, but with every loud whoop while playing with the cars they had brought with them, you felt guilty, and then you were actually asked if it could be quieter... and as I said, the child was playing and not shouted because it didn't feel like it or something! So you inevitably had to keep the child quiet! You felt like you weren't welcome, which was a shame... The waitress was also rather annoyed and you could see that she wanted to work, even though the restaurant had just opened.

Very nice atmosphere. Incredibly friendly staff. The food was a blast. I recommend only taking one of the schnitzels. You just take the second one home with you anyway. It was really delicious. I can only recommend

My husband and I go to seminars in Bensberg every four weeks and are always happy to eat and drink here. Excellent cuisine, great, friendly service, you just feel welcome from the first visit!

Petersfischfet with tortellini and cream sauce sensationally delicious 😊

Unfortunately, the experience in the restaurant was disappointing. Although the portions were generous, the food seemed to be based on the motto "quantity is great". The plates were overloaded with meat, which was more overwhelming than enjoyable. The presentation left a lot to be desired and the salad barely had any flavor. The hollandaise sauce seemed to come straight from the tetra pack and the fries were limp and tasteless. The hour wait for food was frustrating, especially when other guests who arrived later received their food earlier. The staff seemed overwhelmed and forgetful. Overall a disappointing experience.

Today we went to our favorite restaurant in Bergisch again. The food was once again extremely good and the service was top notch. Today my wife had the daily menu, with a delicious soup of the day, an asparagus dish and an extremely beautifully presented stracciatella cream with fresh strawberries. My humble self had the Bergisch Schnitzel and before that an extremely delicious salad. The salad at the front is always a highlight as it is always freshly prepared and contains the freshest ingredients. As always, my schnitzel was excellent. You will hardly find a better schnitzel in the area. For dessert I had a latte macchiato. My recommendation is to definitely try this in conjunction with a hazelnut brandy. The combination is simply great. We've been there 50 times now and haven't once left this inn with a bad feeling. We remain loyal to Diana and Udo and are happy to recommend them without reservation.

I was there with my girlfriend because we heard that the schnitzels were so good. Traditional restaurant. But: unfortunately not at all! The schnitzels from both plates were of poor quality. The preparation may have been ok, but the meat wasn't good at all. Watery and dark in many places and partly with cartilage. It didn't taste like a happy animal but like factory farming. The salad appeared to be from a can. The service was friendly but not entirely on task (we had to ask repeatedly for our drinks). I have no idea how so much praise comes together here. Not to mention the toilet. A pity! We were hoping for better quality.

Here you can get super tasty schnitzels and incredibly good mussels with very friendly people. "Der Wermelskirchen" is always a good address for great food, and the old half-timbered house is simply beautiful.

Let no one break us, no one, who sows us how Fastelovend fiere this. Because Udo Wermelskirchen and his team know exactly how it works. A lovely, all-round successful guesthouse session. With quiet, thoughtful tones like the Cologne policeman Jupp Menth or the tinkering man Thomas Cüpper. Atmospheric music to sway to 'Heimatjeföhl'. This is the carnival that is fun. A beautiful Sunday that allows you to forget the worries of everyday life for a few hours. Many thanks to the entire Wermelskirchen family including the attentive next generation 🙂 Andreas Heindl

Delicious food, prices ok, Somewhat unfriendly staff at lunchtime today

Everything was very tasty, friendly staff and plenty of tasty dishes and reasonable prices

Good home cooking and huge portions. It was also delicious, but bringing the schnitzels an hour after ordering is just too long! Of course the drinks were already empty by then. The service seemed very overwhelmed and didn't really show up. Oh yes, I expect mayonnaise in a packet in a fast food restaurant, but otherwise not. That's really not possible, especially since there isn't much in it anyway. Unfortunately not more than three stars.

Very good regional cuisine at very reasonable prices. There is very good home-style cooking and, in addition to a delicious Kölsch, there is also a Bergisches Land beer to choose from. 👨🏽‍🍳👌🏼 Sehr gute Bergisch Küche zu sehr humanen Preisen. Es gibt sehr gute bürgerliche Küche und neben einem leckeren Kölsch gibt es auch Bergisches Landbier zur Auswahl.

Waren in einer größeren Gruppe da, was für teilweise einen etwas unfreundlichen Service und lange Wartezeiten gesorgt hat (das erste Getränk gab es nach 45 Minuten). Das Essen war durchschnittlich, nichts besonderes, aber auch nicht schlecht. Das Ambiente an sich war schön, nettes Ladenlokal. In puncto Service und auch Essen ist noch Luft nach oben.

Rien à redire niveau accueil. Mais que dire de la nourriture ? Nous avons choisi un rumsteck. La viande était assez dure. Et que dire des frites ? Quand nous allons chez Mc Do ils nous servent les mêmes. Et le tout pour 27€ le plat.

Waren hier einmal essen, es hat uns so gut gefallen das wir ab sofort hier nun regelmäßig kegeln, wir hatten Glück das noch Termine dafür gefunden werden konnten. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr empfehlenswert, das komplette Personal super freundlich und immer aufmerksam. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch zum kegeln und essen :-)

Urig, gemütlich liegt das Lokal in einer Gasse mit Kopfsteinpflaster....wenn man rein geht fühlt man sich wie bei Oma zuhause, die Einrichtung ist rustikal, wirkt jedoch nicht altbacken, einfach nur heimlich und gemütlich! Das Essen war einfach richtig lecker, schön angerichtet, die Bedienung freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell....ganz klare 5 Sterne, ich würde dieses Lokal jederzeit wieder besuchen und empfehlen

Ein wirklich leckeres gutbürgerlichen Restaurant mit umfangreicher Speisekarte, vernünftigen Preisen und netter Bedienung. Ausreichend Parkplätze am Haus. Gerne kommen wir in dieses tolle Ambiente wieder.

Gemütliches historisches(?) Restaurant. Wie waren zu den Muschelwochen da. Service freundlich und speditiv. Die Wirtsleute waren herzlich und freundlich. Speisen wie erwartet sehr gut zubereitet und lecker angerichtet. Portionen sehr gross. Reservation unbedingt erforderlich.

Sehr gemütliches altes Wirtshaus.Nette Bedingungen und sehr leckeres Essen.Die Portionen bei den Schnitzelgerichten sind echt gross aber Mega lecker sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr sehr lecker, wie IMMER! Und diesmal war ich so clever und hab eine Microwellenschüssel mitgebracht. Da konnte ich die Hälfte der sehr reichlichen Portion gut einpacken und habe so morgen noch einmal ein leckeres Abendessen 🤔😁 Aber wenn man keine Schüssel dabei hat, kein Problem, beim Udo gibt es auch Schälchen für die Reste... UPDATE 16.01.2023: Udo hat ne neue Schnitzelkarte, ich habe direkt mal Schnitzel "Barcelona" ausprobiert... LECKER! Datteln im Speckmantel, leichte Honig-Senf-Soße, Süßkartoffel-Pommes und Salat. Den Salat hätte ich besser weggelassen. Der war nicht schlecht, aber ohne hätte ich das leckere Schnitzel ganz geschafft!😉😁

Ich habe heute im Gasthaus Wermelskirchen ein Schlemmer Schnitzel zu Mittag gegessen und dazu 1 Glas Apfelsaft getrunken. Da heute nochmals ein schöner Spätsommertag war, habe ich draußen auf der Terrasse gesessen. Das Essen war köstlich und die Tische waren fast alle besetzt.

Das täglich wechselnde Mittagsmenü war mal wieder super lecker 😋. Heute so wie jeden Freitag gab es Fisch und ich bin wie immer glücklich und satt gegangen ☺️🍀

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, absolut leckeres Essen, mit großen Portionen, bei denen selbst ich Pappe satt geworden bin. Sehr gemütliches, typisch deutsches Restaurant. Wird nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein!

Unheimlich netter Empfang,obwohl es echt voll war. Es ist immer gut zu reservieren. Essen war wie immer erste Klasse. Wir kommen wieder auch ohne die Mutti die ein Altbier trinken wollte 😂

Preis/Leistung 1a. Habe Schnitzel "Tirol" bestellt daz gab es Spätzle. Hier kommen 2 handgemachte Schnitzel mit Preiselbeeren und Camembert und da geht niemand hungrig nach Hause. Das ganze für rund 18€ absolut top. Dazu 2 Kölsch, bin sehr zufrieden. Telefonische Reservierung vorher ist ratsam, das Lokal war komplett voll.
