We were there several times last year and it was wonderful, just as it was again top quality and mega good service friendly always attentive but not intrusive we would love to come back

We had a set menu in the evening. The ambiance was very nice. The quality of the food was very high. The service was very friendly and unobtrusive. The number of individual courses was just right for a 6-course meal. The value for money and the quality of the food were very good. We will definitely plan further visits.

There were four of us there and we had a very pleasant evening. The menu, drinks, and service were excellent. It's great that there are restaurants like this in our area.

As always, it was delicious, with excellent service. We were there for dinner. Not at the hotel.

I stumbled upon the Rößle Inn in Elzach today quite by chance, after taking my cuckoo clock in Schonach for repairs – without knowing at first where I'd actually landed. Until now, I only knew the Rößle through its Instagram account, which I was already thrilled with – and my expectations were absolutely met. The atmosphere is harmonious, the decor is lovingly designed, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was excellent – ​​fresh, honest, and spot on. You immediately feel at home and welcome here. I'd love to come back. Best regards

I participated in the gourmet tour. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Our backpacks were packed with excellent regional products, from sausages, cheeses, salads, and vegetables to delicious homemade bread, beer, wine, and sodas. Everyone - the owner and staff - is very friendly and makes you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Tasteful room, elegant breakfast room (this is also the cooking school's place) with nice view and very good and tasty breakfast. The elegant bathroom had a great shower and the standard size bed was comfortable. Practical and friendly furnished, they got the best out of the limited space. Very clean. I also enjoyed the daily dishes and permanent menue in the restaurant. The only downside: the room was hot and stayed hot the whole night, as there is no aircon.

The reservation process is easy and efficient. The food was once again excellent, and the service was unobtrusive, yet efficient, friendly, and fast. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Very friendly and attentive staff, great food. I had the pub menu. Very, very good. The price was completely reasonable. I'd go back anytime.

Today I have to go into a bit more detail. What I just had the chance to eat was outstanding. I opted for the chef's menu (meat) with an intermediate course instead of dessert. As always, it started with homemade sourdough bread with two spreads. A perfect start. Then I had venison carpaccio which was so good I don't want any more beef. For the intermediate course, I was surprised with venison nuts on celeriac puree. Absolutely delicious. And the sauce... gentlemen... After a sour cream and lime sorbet, the main course was veal loin, potato fritters and mixed vegetables. Exactly my taste. Happily, I even got seconds of the sensational sauce without asking. That was a work of fine cuisine. Respect to the kitchen and the fantastic service team.

The food was well-prepared and top-notch in taste. We ate outside. Too bad that the stench of passing mopeds, moped-like vehicles and cars was too clearly present. That does not do justice to the atmosphere/the food served.

Zunächst möchten wir die Bedienung ansprechen. Der Herr war aufmerksam jedoch die Dame die uns den Hauptgang servierte war sehr oberflächlich was das Anrichten anging. Es wurde einfach nur auf den Tisch gestellt ohne Besteck und rau in ihrer Köpersprache uns gegenüber. Dies hat die Atmosphäre für uns deutlich getrübt. Wir sind zweii/dreimal im Jahr da. Heute am 12.06.25 hatten wir mit 2 Personen 2x ein Wildgericht dreierlei Wild. Übereinstimmend: Alle Wildsorten waren gleichschmeckend und trocken, am besten haben die Beilagen geschmeckt. Die Vorspeise zuvor war ok. Der Platz neben dem Kachelofen war schön. Aber Ausstattung ist eben nicht alles! Man freut sich auf ein schönes Essen und geht mit einer Enttäuschung. Das darf für so ein Restaurant nicht sein.

We were here for dinner, so we can't comment on the hotel. What we received was honest and good. There was nothing to criticize about the execution. We enjoyed it. However, the service seemed a bit overwhelmed given the occupancy that day (congratulations). Perhaps a little more staff would have earned us a fifth star.

The food is amazing. The ambiance is very beautiful, lovingly designed, and modern. The service is excellent and very professional. There's a great wine selection. The rooms are very nice, but we didn't use them due to the "home advantage." The food is very varied, with seasonal, locally sourced dishes always on the menu. There are also great specials like Tasty Tuesday or the Wirtshaus menu. You can try something new here and simply enjoy it. We look forward to the next culinary experience at the Rössle.

We've been guests at the Rössle several times, and this time we had the 9-course menu, a real treat with fantastic, fine food. A sensational wine recommendation. Regardless of the rest, if you suddenly don't want to keep a fixed agreement and then, after reacting with shock, find yourself with everything canceled just four months before the wedding, that's not recommended at all! This review should be deleted for defamation, but unfortunately, this is exactly what happened years ago to my sister and, sadly, now deceased, brother-in-law. Anyone who has ever planned a dream wedding can certainly understand what it means for a couple to suddenly find themselves without a venue just before their wedding.

Ein besonders schwerwiegender Vorfall war, dass in einem Wildgericht tatsächlich eine Patrone gefunden wurde. Dies ist nicht nur äußerst unappetitlich, sondern birgt auch ein erhebliches Verletzungsrisiko. Nachdem wir uns im Nachgang erkundigt hatten, wurde uns bewusst dass das Fleisch um eine Einschusswunde nicht für den Verzehr in einem Restaurant geeignet ist. Soetwas kann und darf nicht passieren! Es ist für uns absolut unverständlich, dass es in einem solchen Fall weder eine Entschuldigung, ein Entgegenkommen noch eine Kleinigkeit aufs Haus Ihrerseits gab.

We always enjoy coming to Elzach in Rössle, whether for dinner or just a few days in the hotel. Very tasty food, great breakfast and very nice rooms.

The schnitzel was very disappointing. My girlfriend was the chief guest, it was a gift for her 70th birthday. Unfortunately she was not satisfied. She wanted to visit the Rössle because she remembered the Rössle better. We drove specifically to the Elztal from Kenzingen or Teningen.

This was our first time having dinner at the Rössle inn. For us a journey of 45 minutes. It was worth it. Service and food were excellent. We'd love to come back.

A culinary highlight! I absolutely loved this restaurant! You feel welcome as soon as you enter - the atmosphere is stylish and cozy at the same time. The food was simply outstanding. The ingredients are fresh, the dishes prepared with great attention to detail and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the perfectly cooked steak, the creative vegetarian selection and the homemade dessert. Every bite was a delight. The service was also excellent: attentive, friendly and professional. The staff took the time to make recommendations and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. An all-round successful evening – I will definitely eat here again. Absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

Rating from a restaurateur’s perspective: With regard to the food and the ambience, you can only give full marks here. Everything is clean, the rooms are large and yet there is a pleasant background noise. There is one point deducted for the rooms, because although everything makes an expensive, high-quality impression, the feeling of a coherent style concept is missing. It seems rather aloof and somewhat reminiscent of Catholic churches. I was there to introduce myself. Even before we had seen each other, I received an irritating email about my "delay" (the trains to Elzach have been running on the same timetable for a long time...). This is understandable since everyone has their own plans, but it is still a bit strange. When I spoke to the manager of the house, I had the feeling that he was looking for confrontation. His questions didn't seem curious, but more like an uncomfortable interrogation. I was not given any room for complete answers. Overall it was a very one-sided encounter. Since there was a lack of respect for listening, I finished the performance and knew that I had no place in such a capitalist-right-wing oriented place. The boss was too embarrassed to clear away the drinks and carelessly left the chair he had moved standing in the hallway. In my opinion, the sovereignty that the “Rössle” exudes is not reflected in the head of the house. Everyone should please make up their own minds. Sometimes days are more tense than others. The restaurant was also moderately busy, which may have increased the stress level. I came in peace and am leaving in peace. Hence my opinion as an applicant for the “Rössle”. The boss's behavior depresses the rating I give enormously. He is the head and is part of the overall evaluation.

Excellent restaurant where good home cooking is combined with excellence. You really feel welcome here and seen as an individual guest. We recently visited on the occasion of our wedding anniversary, I had stated this when making the reservation and our table was even reserved appropriately and all the employees even congratulated us when we served us. It doesn't cost anything, but it feels really great and I'm always impressed when the service works so well. The food was also excellent. The restaurant doesn't have a star, but it's close. We used a birthday as an opportunity to visit with the family. The food was great, everything was prepared in a timely manner and tasted very good. We'd love to come back.

A place where you feel comfortable and that you like to visit again and again. No matter whether it's a restaurant or a cooking school, a meal for two or a family celebration, we simply enjoy going to the Rössle. Great team, great boss and a warm boss! We took part in the meat and sauces cooking class and stayed overnight afterwards. The cooking course is excellent and it's really fun to delve deeper into the subject of cooking. Valuable tips are complemented by conveying joy and a pinch of humor. The standard room is very high quality and beautifully furnished. The breakfast is very tasty and contains only fresh products. There was also plenty of the special Rössle sourdough bread — a dream! So not only can you enjoy a top address in the evening, but the other offers also more than meet your expectations.

We only stop for lunch. Nice restaurant but with medium-high prices. Good but very particular dishes. We take a fish soup, a couple of cordon blues, a couple of pork ribs and a plate of tongue.

We recently had a meal at Rössle and were all very enthusiastic about the cuisine and the service. It was the first time I was back at the Rössle since the renovation, and I have to say, it turned out very nice. Will definitely come back for dinner.

We would like to write this review to express our dissatisfaction with our visit to your restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations of a pleasant restaurant visit, and we hope that you will take our criticism constructively. First of all we would like to mention the clumsy operation. We didn't feel welcome as guests. She was attentive when it came to refilling and clearing away, but she was impatient and unprofessional in her attitude towards us as guests. This significantly dampened the atmosphere for our group. Furthermore, the price-performance ratio was not there. The quality and presentation of the food was not at the level you would expect for your price range. The preparation of the dishes seemed careless and unprofessional, which further worsened our overall impression. A particularly serious incident was that a cartridge was actually found in a game dish. This is not only extremely unsavory, but also poses a significant risk of injury. It is absolutely incomprehensible to us that in such a case there was neither an apology nor any accommodation from you. This is also the reason for only one star. We would also like to point out that we were not informed in advance that a reservation for 15 people will incur an additional charge if two people cancel at short notice. This should have been communicated clearly in advance to avoid misunderstandings. Instead, this had to be discussed loudly in front of other guests. We hope that you will take our feedback seriously and take steps to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The beef fillet was perfectly cooked to perfection. The wine list had the matching Pinot Noir.

Bad service. Outrageous. When it came to what was wrong with the meat, it wasn't addressed at all. Expensive prices. Not recommended.

We hadden 1e kerstdag gereserveerd met grote verwachtingen, gezien de recensies. Let op bij reserveren: het restaurant heeft 2 ruimtes: een “sjieke” zaal en een “gewone” zaal bij de keuken. De bediening was erg efficient, maar persoonlijk was het zeker niet, iets wat ik op dit prijsniveau wel verwacht. (Puntje eraf) De gewone zaal, (geen tafellinnen, nog nat servet, net uit de was), deed ook af aan het “michelin” gehalte. De gerechten waren lekker, origineel en goed van smaak. Jammer dat de reeën biefstuk, zenen bevatte. (Puntje eraf) Dat verwacht ik niet voor een 4 gangen kerstmenu @€75. Wellicht dat het restaurant, als het minder druk is beter scoort. Het gaat immers ook om de beleving, niet alleen het eten.

Family meal was just great, ambience, service, quality, taste, friendliness and again, because it was so good, the service. It wasn't the first time we've been to the Rössle and it certainly won't be the last time. Because our grandson really wants to go into the kitchen to get ice cream again :-)...

Happy ambience. Chicly decorated, tables not close to each other, well arranged, guests can talk without disturbing each other. Lunch provides a good middle-class, friendly atmosphere, perfect Elsacher hospitality. Good wine lists from well-known wineries in the region. Game and fish dishes prepared just right.

We celebrated a big birthday here with the family. Rooms are modernly furnished with local materials and bright thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. Breakfast is served in the cooking school as a buffet with local products. The food was fantastic, all the rooms radiate a nice, warm atmosphere. Great combination of tradition and modernity, also in the food. Great attentive service - many thanks to the Rössle team for the lovely stay! We'd love to come back👍
