January 9, 2025 We were now back at the Pfeil inn. What can I say: We were ignored again and stood at the entrance in the cold for quite some time. Until we said we had reserved. But it took some time until our reservation was found. Does that have to be the case? Can't this be better organized? It's a shame because the food is always good! Review 5 months ago: The food tastes good! But the reception, even if seats have been reserved, can be expanded! The guest is ignored at the entrance, no greeting, no look, you've been standing there for a while, but at some point no one can get through, neither coming nor leaving. I expect a little more friendliness!

Super simple but very good Bavarian cuisine! Always a great daily menu with special dishes and great homemade cakes. I really enjoy being there!

Before visiting the Gasthof Pfeil you should make a snack at home to fill yourself up. I had dinner there yesterday with my company and ate a cordon bleue that was as big as the palm of my hand. Fries 🍟 were also few and doughy and not cross. There's no way to get me there anymore.

Mittlerweile leider nicht mehr die Qualität. Große Portion ist nicht unbedingt das wichtigste. Es geht um Geschmack heute der Spanferkel braten, war so trocken, das wir jeder am Tisch nur die Hälfte gegessen hat, eigentlich nicht mal. Die Knödel waren entweder uralt oder schon 3 Stunden im Wasser. Auch wenn es günstig ist vom Preis aber es sollte trotzdem schmecken. So schnell werde ich hier nicht mehr her gehen..

Price/performance is probably the best locally far and wide. If you like very good and classic Bavarian cuisine, you've come to the right place. I don't know what could be improved, unfortunately many others know that too and that's why the store is always very fully booked, so reservations are almost a must!

What can I say, I could give 5 ***** for service, food, everywhere, BUT, it's a nightmare!!!!! These many people, even if you get a reservation after 14 days, your table is not free, the queue in the entrance area is at least 20 meters long... you are pushed back and forth, you are laughed at by the fed up people who come out because you're standing here in this huge queue...we waited and waited...the end of the song, we left hungry...I'm going to cancel my husband's 60th birthday here again...unfortunately :-( sad but this Crowds are simply unbearable. All the best to the lovely team...

Unfortunately we had a service person who either had a bad day or was generally not friendly! Unfriendly and very clumsy, some of them were ignored and reordering (ball of ice cream for sundae) was the big drama! The selection of dishes was good, but unfortunately the execution was not! There were five of us and I think none of the dishes were great, everything was tasteless and carelessly prepared. It was our first time there and also our last time!

I've known this place for over 20 years and every time I'm in München I MUST stay here. Now the Pfeil family is my second home for warmth and kindness, the food is excellent and the prices are truly more than honest, everything is good but I recommend their Cordon Blue mit Pommes it is phenomenal. I now avoid this inn. We used to go there often to eat or pick up things. Unfortunately the service is very unfriendly and not particularly hospitable. A complaint was made about a dish because it was inedible. They only gave an unfriendly answer and they weren't particularly open to criticism. I think it's a real shame. Actually, it was always cheap and good food there, but unfortunately that has changed.

What happened to treating guests with respect? We always enjoyed being guests at the Pfeil Wirtshaus, but our last visit was definitely our last. When we entered the beer garden, which was only partially full, we were initially ignored, although some service staff rushed past us. We were offered a place in the stuffy winter garden right next to the aisle, but if we asked we could sit outside. Drinks and food came quickly. In terms of taste, the Codon Bleu and the shish kebab, each with hard section of fries, were an absolute disappointment. The shish kebab consisted of two skewers, each with 3 hard, dry and black burnt pieces of meat with peppers (you could see the wooden skewer between the meat and peppers) and a ketchup sauce. The salad was soggy and drowned in vinegar. In short: the food was inedible. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the kitchen staff seem to be capable of criticism. We expressed our displeasure, the waitress cleared away our half-eaten portion and explained that we still had to pay for it since we had eaten part of it, especially the fries. We didn't want to start a discussion here. But the crowning glory of it all came afterwards when I walked from the toilet through the guest room: I was told, in plain English, that I was being made a pig of not paying for anything I could think of. My plate was almost empty, only a chunk of meat left. (As mentioned above, the shish kebab consisted of a few chunks with chips and gravy. Plus, my husband footed the bill in the meantime.) As is well known, taste can be debated, but you should still expect some respect towards your guests.

Good home-style food at fair prices, beer garden, dog-friendly! Varied menu that stands out from the "everyday porridge" - with dishes that you won't find anywhere else, e.g. a "real", good shish kebab.

I was there because of the highly praised food. Unfortunately my roast suckling pig was dry and came with the wrong dumpling (bread dumplings instead of potato dumplings, which were also hard). When I pointed this out, the waitress commented that she couldn't replace the dumpling anymore because I had already cut it open! The question arises as to whether the uncut dumpling would have been passed on to another guest? Conclusion: Great beer garden, reasonable prices, sheepsheads not a problem. Food questionable. Too bad! Note: My friends' schnitzel was probably good.

There is a nice outdoor playground for the little ones. The kitchen is rather simple. There are good portions and a decent price-performance ratio. Feel free to come by again.

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to give you my feedback on my recent visit to your restaurant. The ambience of your restaurant is very attractive and inviting. However, the food was not quite what I expected. I was particularly disappointed by the long wait to be seated and to place my order. I waited at least 20 minutes for a waitress to come to me and then waited again for my food to be served. If I wanted to order something else, for example a dessert, I had to wait at least 20 minutes again, if I was lucky. My wife came later and wanted to order something to eat, but she didn't get around to it because every time she wanted to order from the young lady, the excuse was: "My colleague makes orders, ask." I am very disappointed with the service in your restaurant and it is unlikely that I will come back.

Everything was fine, only the food had to be served together. And in the front garden with the awning there is a lot of air.

When I'm in Dachau and they say we're going out to eat, my favorite thing is to go to the inn in Bergkirchen zum Pfeil. You eat very well here. The service is perfect and the beautiful beer garden is cozy, especially in the warm season. I've also ordered vouchers and had them sent because they're a great gift if you need something. It's uncomplicated, it will be sent to you with the invoice, which you can then transfer straight away. What I think is very good is that the price-performance ratio is right. When I go back to Dachau, I know I'll go back to the Pfeil Gasthaus for dinner.

We had lunch with a larger group and had to wait quite a long time for a response from staff. I had the vegetable lasagna with salad, although unfortunately there was a hair in my salad :( The vegetable lasagna was also inedible: the dough, cheese and béchamel sauce had become a lump. I didn't want to order dessert after that, the prices are the same for these dishes not justified. Overall we were very dissatisfied and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Two of us ate char fillet with fried potatoes. Fish was okay, the fried potatoes were greasy and had no crust at all. They were almost inedible. The neighboring table also confirmed this. Our third person ate a pork roast which was very tasteless. What happened to the “Pfeil Kitchen”? The same applies to the unfriendly staff. Some still need to work on etiquette. It's a shame, some time ago the Gasthof Pfeil was set up differently.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this restaurant. We were very disappointed and had made a reservation for 12 p.m. when we arrived we were told that we had one and a half hours to eat and drink. So we had to eat under time pressure, impossible with a small child. Small children are also not welcome, at least not if they want to leave the place to walk around, which is normal for small children. We were yelled at several times asking if it was still possible to walk around. We definitely won't come back. Here only profit comes first.

Went to dinner with friends this evening, had reserved a table for 5:30 p.m., the waitress assigned us a table that already had a note with 7 p.m. and a different name on it. When we asked what that meant, the waitress asked if we could Wanting to stay longer has never happened to us. The food came in stages, so that some were almost finished, but my wife completely forgot about her food. When it came, the fried potatoes looked like potato salad, the salad had probably been in the kitchen for a long time, the way it looked. We are totally disappointed with the Gasthaus Pfeil, where we have been guests so many times and have always had top food. The service needs to be worked on here so that everyone at the table gets their food at the same time. What a shame, what a shame.

Had lunch. Many guests. Service was friendly and quick. Pancake soup very good. The pork knuckle was totally overcooked and dry. The potato dumplings are hard and can be used as a cannonball. Fried chicken from the deep fryer!! Dry and lukewarm. Potato cucumber salad very good. Apparently the guests come because of the low prices and the large portions. Unfortunately the preparation of the food is not good. We actually planned to have a celebration with 45 people here. Not after this test meal!!

If you need a break from the Munich gastro prices, this is the place for you. Hearty Bavarian inn with high quality food, very good. Nice beer garden, no chi chi… Service is honestly friendly, you just feel comfortable.

Everything is just right in this restaurant! The ambience is original, as you would imagine in a Bavarian restaurant. The staff embodies this 100% and is friendly and accommodating across the board! This restaurant is exceptionally GOOD, CHEAP, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL. A typical Bavarian restaurant, with a beer garden, winter garden, a regulars' table and outstanding dishes, both in terms of taste and size - the Cordon Bleu is outstanding!!!

We've been very happy with the inn so far, but today's experience has changed our minds. Incredibly rude service (who only takes the order), who responded to our question about the origin of the meat in a bored manner and said there was no organic meat here for that price, but she had no idea. We didn't get the impression that they cared either. Impossible in this day and age! Unfriendly treatment... Last time for us...
