We went to the Sunday buffet. There was plenty of food, but unfortunately, the pork knuckle was tough, as were the various meats. The ground meatballs fell apart, but the flavor was decent. The fish wasn't great. The cabbage and sausage were just sour. The soup itself was off-putting. Overall, everything was presented sloppily, leaving us wanting to try more.

We like to stay at Gasthaus Peters on our bike tour through Münsterland. When the weather is nice, you can sit comfortably in the beer garden... friendly and good service.

We had coffee and cake there on a Sunday afternoon. For €4, we got a slice of cheesecake that was barely bigger than a cake fork. It was also disappointing that the top was already dry.

We spontaneously stopped by on our bikes. The service was friendly and courteous. Customers can also charge their e-bikes for free. They also serve delicious beer!

I came here as part of a boating holiday and picked up the boat here (Gasthaus Peters is not the rental company). We also had dinner here as part of this. Fast, friendly, and attentive service; drinks arrived quickly, and the food didn't take long either. The loin was wonderfully seasoned, the portions were generous, and the salads were also good. Perhaps in the future they could offer fresh carrot salad instead of canned...

We were there for brunch on Sunday. A very large selection of all kinds of food. Reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A definite recommendation.

The RV parking is OK. The restaurant is excellent.

Today, we spontaneously stopped at the Peters Inn with eight cyclists, following a very dirty, old sign. Seven of the group on our tour had never seen the inn before; one had visited it many years ago. We were very pleasantly surprised by its exterior appearance and the friendly welcome from the owner. The value for money wasn't bad either. Only the large salad could have been a bit more nutritious. The only major criticism was the aforementioned sign; it suggests that the inn is already abandoned or run down. But now that we know that's not the case, we'll gladly return.

A nice restaurant and campsite on the Dortmund-Ems Canal, with a fenced-in playground for kids, so they can play comfortably despite the canal being so close. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious.

We arrived spontaneously with two campers. Received a very friendly welcome. The campsite is superbly located by the river. The road isn't a problem. Showers and restrooms are all available and clean. The food is delicious, large portions. Good value for money. We'll definitely be back.

Working with the great team around Maren and Hendrik is just fun - warm, professional and with a lot of passion for gastronomy. You can tell straight away: The two of them live what they do and are always open to tips, creative ideas and one or two valuable pieces of advice. All of the celebrations that I have been able to attend at Gasthaus Peters so far have gone smoothly and absolutely reliably. The arrangements work perfectly, the food is always a pleasure and the drinks are always well chilled - exactly how you want it for a successful celebration. I can unreservedly recommend the Gasthaus Peters for any kind of celebration - whether it's a wedding, birthday or company party. We went to this restaurant today for the Westphalian buffet and absolutely loved it! Despite a large birthday party in the hall next door and the restaurant being completely booked, we were served very quickly and friendly. Our drinks arrived quickly and everything ran smoothly at the buffet. The selection was huge – so big that it was hard to decide! There were various types of meat such as game, ham and roulades, all freshly sliced ​​in front of us and served straight away. Empty plates were immediately cleared away so that you could easily try again with a new plate. The dessert buffet was also impressively large, and the entire staff was consistently friendly and attentive. An employee said it was a bit chaotic today because of the crowds - but as guests we didn't notice it at all. Everything went perfectly and very organized. We are usually rather critical guests and look closely, but here everything was really great. A big thank you to the operators and the entire team – you’re doing a great job! We would particularly like to emphasize that you are there for us exactly when others are enjoying their free time: on weekends, on public holidays and in the evenings. We stayed at Peters with the motorhome over Easter - for the third time for us - we felt welcome again and very comfortable! - great parking space at a good price, everything was very uncomplicated, great view of the water, pure relaxation - wonderful restaurant, very tasty, good quality food at a fair price - Here the guests are looked after in a good mood and with a positive attitude ……… we enjoyed it and will definitely come back! We were there for the buffet and it was really great. There was classic German cuisine here: a lot of choice and what I was able to try was very tasty. There was almost everything from beef roulades to fries.

An overnight stay at the jetty and food. It was really tasty and the portions were large. Price performance was great. Very nice staff. However, you should reserve a table as it is always busy.

We were invited to a buffet here. Unfortunately the food wasn't really good. Hot dishes were far too little or even unseasoned, dry and some were even cold when you arrived at the table!!! Really bad for such a restaurant and for the price. The 1 star is for the staff and the fairly mediocre selection. Unfortunately not recommended as a buffet option!

We were guests there over the weekend with 3 motorhomes. We had a delicious meal on Saturday evening and also took part in the fantastic lunch buffet (Sunday). Owner and staff very friendly, we had a great chat with the owner and the staff. We'll be back!!!!

If you are looking for good home cooking, Peters is the right place for you. The quality here is excellent. All dishes excellent. Even the supplements such as: B. Croquettes or potato salad are all homemade. The service is impeccable and always super friendly. Price performance is very fair here. We visit this house regularly and feel very comfortable.

Ich war ehrlich überrascht! 11:30Uhr wurde das Buffet eröffnet. Und dann die Vielfalt, Auswahl und Geschmacksrichtungen - alles topp. Salate ok. Aber die Gemüseauswahl, kann sich mit Spitzenhäusern messen. Dann die Fleischauswahl! Herrschaftszeiten: Spießbraten, Wild, Geflügel, Rouladen, Schnitzel, Chicke-Curry und, und ... in der Mitte Vorspeisen ich schätze 40 verschiedene. Und dann noch die Nachspeisen. Das muss man erlebt haben! Direkt am alten Kanalarm gelegen unscheinbar aber ein wirklicher "Geheimtipp". Wir kommen aus Münster und können diese Sonntagsbuffet wirklich empfehlen.

Delicious food, friendly service and a nice ambience

Was there to eat, would have expected more from the roast in terms of taste. The croquettes were great and you could taste that they were homemade. Unfortunately we had a table near the toilet door. An unpleasant smell hit my nose, it wasn't nice at all.

Beautiful inn located directly on the canal. We went to the beautiful beer garden to replenish our lost fluids 🍺. Fast and friendly service. We didn't eat there, but many other guests ate lunch. Which can be seen as positive.

We celebrated our wedding in the ballroom at Peters. All guests enjoyed the food. A special thank you goes to Hendrik, who provided us with valuable tips and great support during the wedding planning. We had a very nice evening and would happily recommend the location.

We were guests here with the caravan over the weekend. We also took part in the fantastic lunch buffet (Sundays). We came with the family (mother-in-law's birthday) and were completely surprised at how rich and particularly tasty everything was. My mother-in-law and we really liked it and will come again.

Very nice and quiet location on the canal. At the beginning of May we were at the Westphalian Buffet inn to celebrate our daughter's communion. It had been ordered several months in advance with a previous table reservation with the time and number of people, The buffet was then recommended. When we arrived, the first person had been forgotten to set up. When we spoke to the waitress, they said with a pointed tongue that I would just do it. By then the buffet was very empty and no refills were being made. The food was only lukewarm by the second course. There was hardly any dessert left either. It was also a shame that an inn brought warm non-alcoholic wheat beer, even the filter coffee was no longer hot and fresh. I have to honestly say that we were very disappointed. We paid a lot of money for everything, we even had to pay per person for the tablecloth. I had never experienced that it cost extra before.

We took part in the evening buffet with the family and there is only one thing to say, fantastic 👍 We will come back.

We come here once a year for a birthday dinner. Thank God it wasn't so crowded this time. There is a buffet here on Sundays, which is good for the inn. I would call it good home cooking. You can also eat gluten-free here. We had a child with celiac disease with us. The chef walked around with her and showed her what she could eat. For dessert she got ice cream on the house, as we didn't know what was in the pudding powder for dessert.

We were in transit and were allowed to stay despite the seats being fully booked. There was an excellent buffet in the evening. The boss and staff are quick and very friendly. Thank you again.

We were there on Easter Monday for the rich Westphalian buffet. It's a wonderful place

We reserved a table for the buffet on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. Due to work, we only managed to get there at 7:50 p.m. So far no problem at first, we thought, the buffet runs until 9 p.m. according to the information on the website. When we were shown to the table we were told that we would only get the buffet until 8:30 p.m. In the remaining half hour we quickly "shoveled" the food so that the buffet could be cleared promptly at 8:30 p.m. We weren't used to the restaurant until now. Everyone gets a second chance, but you should stick to what you promise on your homepage! We'll be back, but no longer for the buffet in the evening.
