We visited the "Hilger-Wirt" and were very satisfied. A cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and good food made for a wonderful experience today. The regulars were friendly, and we had a great time! Thank you so much, and we'll definitely be back soon! 🥳👍🍻

So, I've lived in Bad Endorf for 8 years now and have finally settled in here! The place is truly Bavarian, and the music, etc., is really great. You also quickly get to know the regulars and other guests, which is really great. The food here is amazing, and everything is super delicious and freshly made. Special requests are no problem at all. The owner is also very nice, and I love coming here! The service staff is very friendly and a perfect fit! It's also really special that my dogs are welcome. A typical country inn with very friendly service and reasonable prices, although the food could be improved. Access by bike is rather difficult due to the steep incline.

We went there on a recommendation and had reserved a table for three people. After about half an hour, my husband approached one of the two waiters and asked if we'd like something to eat and a drink. 10 minutes later, our order was taken. The drinks arrived, followed by my small (!!!) salad. Literally. A handful of green salad with a few carrot strips and some cress. Almost 6 euros (we didn't get a written bill anyway). Then came the cheese spaetzle (a manageable portion) and the roast pork, one piece of which was gristly. We were halfway through our meal when our friend delivered the (cold) food. After she complained and it was served for the second time, we were done. We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Nice beer garden, great service, but the food, unfortunately, wasn't a highlight. Some of the roast beef was tough, the sauce lacked flavor, and the spaetzle wasn't homemade. The same was true of the other food, which unfortunately wasn't worth recommending either (gyro plate, dry chicken, and reheated bell pepper potatoes).

The food was good and the service was also good. The beer garden was very nice. There was a small washing area for children. Unfortunately, our meals came out very differently. If they had come together, it would have been ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We visited Gasthof Hilger again yesterday. It's always been very nice and the food has always been delicious. Unfortunately, yesterday was different! The service was unfriendly and snippy, and the food wasn't good either. There was a chicken gyro on the daily menu. It was probably old, grilled gyros that had to be used up because of the canceled solstice celebration! Only dry, unrecognizable, and over-salted pieces of meat. A real shame!

We hiked over the mountain from the Stein campsite and had dinner at the Hilger Inn. The seating is cozy under many chestnut trees. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The roast pork and neck steak were delicious.

If you are not thirsty or hungry, this is the right place. I can't rate the food because no one came to order any.

We were here after a sunny day of swimming at Lake Simsee. We came across Gasthof Hilgers by chance and the impression was even better than expected. We were in the beer garden on a Thursday evening. And there was music. It was delicious! Fresh roast pork with dumplings and cabbage and schnitzel with French fries, lemon and cranberries - what more could #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet want? Plus a cool Radler Spezi and a spritzer ... what more could you need? Although the beer garden is located on the village street, you hardly notice it, partly because of the hedge. And: large chestnut trees provide shade, even though the sun often shines into the beer garden for a while between the church and the inn opposite. And when Bavarian musicians play, your heart laughs with happiness. The sanitary facilities are clean and the beer garden is clean and wiped before you sit down. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is informal. Thank you for the wonderful time! We will be back and can only recommend this inn!

We were guests yesterday, and it was really nice. As we walked in, I knew we'd definitely feel at home there. And that's exactly how it was. Friendly, attentive service, cozy dining room, and the best schnitzel I've had in ages.

A very nice beer garden, with fast service, crispy breaded schnitzel, and tender meat. A cozy place for lunch, but the prices are simply inflated compared to other beer gardens in the Chiemgau region. Four years ago, schnitzel cost €5 less, and that was already unrealistic value for money.

Great schnitzel and the apple strudel was also great. Definitely worth a trip.

Very idyllic Restaurant with a good menu and vegetarian options. Can highly recommend the Biergarten. Order a refreshing Apfelschorle (they use great juices). My recommendation would be to add a baby changing area into the mens toilets also.

Very cozy inn. A very nice beer garden, you can sit wonderfully under the chestnut trees. Very attentive friendly service. We had pre-ordered pork knuckles the day before. It was incredibly tasty and incredibly large, one would have been enough for two people 😃. We were given something to pack and we took the rest with us. The food we saw from other guests also looked fantastic. If we're in the area again we'll definitely come back.

In this really picturesque town you can enjoy solid, good cuisine in the beer garden. Only the sanitary facilities should be given some attention again. But that doesn't detract from the overall impression. The service was very friendly. With a vegan diet you have to make do with the usual side dishes and salads, but this was also very tasty and therefore completely acceptable.

If that wasn't just great. A Bavarian beer garden in the village, music was live, roast pork, liver dumplings and a large Munich Helles and then another....simply delicious...🍺😎 and the mosquitoes didn't matter...🦟

The portion size was appropriate for the price. However, the taste of the food (roast ox with sauce and spaetzle) was very bland. The waitresses were stressed and made no attempt to ask about the portion that was only half eaten. It's a shame I won't be coming anymore.

Cozy beer garden under the trees at the Hilger inn in the village of Hirnsberg above the Simssee. There is delicious Bavarian cuisine with a small but fine menu at family-friendly prices, and everything is kept running by a very attentive and friendly service! We'll definitely stop by again.

Hello We were in the beer garden on Sunday April 14th, 2024 around 1 p.m. when the weather was nice, various small bands played some music, which was very pleasant. We were immediately asked what we wanted to drink and we knew it straight away, but it took a while until it finally came. We politely asked the waitress where it was, she then said that she only takes the drinks and the colleague only takes them out (weird service). Afterwards we ordered something to eat. My partner took a roast pork + a side salad The roast pork came without a side salad after about 40 minutes. I ordered a schnitzel with fries (€16.30!!!!) which came after about an hour with the salad. We would have liked to eat together. It's a shame that with 2 people at the table it's not possible to get the food together. And what's even more annoying is that people who ordered after us got the same food faster before us. For dessert we ordered mixed ice cream with cream. Unfortunately, the ice cream is not of good quality and we only got one spoon even though we ordered 2 and asked again when we brought the sundae - there was probably only one spoon in it at €5.40 We then paid with a voucher - to which the waitress said now she had to go back in again, for whatever reason, even though we said it twice before paying that we had a voucher that was already open on the table. The prices are very overpriced.

Absolute disaster!!! Schnitzel only tasted like old fat. The fries weren't fully cooked. The lemon on the schnitzel was very soft because it was already old. No side salad. The currywurst was fried too dark with ready-made sauce and no curry powder. Everything was done carelessly. There were 7 of us and we didn't get our food at the same time. Simply disgusting!!! Never again 🤮🤮 The whole place also smelled like old grease

We asked at the entrance whether it was possible to sit on the terrace, the answer was: yes, and we turned our backs?! My goodness, so much unprofessional behavior and such an unfriendly manner, you have to put it together first. Thx, definitely NEVER again. Leave your money where you feel welcome!

Somehow this “simple peasant economy” gave the impression that they would rather present the guest with a high bill than encourage them to come back. The prices, which are already very high, do not include any vegetables or salad, so some meat on the bone, a few potatoes and that's it. Schupfnudel to the leg of venison can be counted on two hands. As I said, no lettuce leaf, no vegetables! When it comes to beer, the price of which has barely risen by a euro for a bottle of beer due to all the current crises, the price is 4.70 euros per 0.5 liters, but if two people then share a bottle, everyone suddenly gets 3 .60 euros for the quarter on the bill. This is a rip off for me. As I said: simple farmhouse, not a gourmet restaurant!

Very good starter plate, attention from the house. Unfortunately there was no fish dish, but there was a very large selection of game dishes. Price performance fits.

Wer, wie wir, nicht aus Bayern kommt taucht im Gasthaus Hilger in eine neue Welt ein. Völlig authentisch, sichtbar von der lokalen Bevölkerung geschätzt, bei perfekter herzlicher Bedienung: leckeres, durch und durch deftiges Essen. Wir wissen nicht, wann wir wieder in der Gegend sind. Aber wenn wir wieder dort sind: dann kehren wir gerne wieder ein. Denn neben Atmosphäre und schönem Essen hat es auch noch realistische Preise zu bieten.

Gute Küche, Preis- Leistung gut.

Sehr tolle Gastgeber! Sowohl die Gaststube als auch der Biergarten sind sehr schön. Die Karte bietet ca 5 Hsuptgerichte, bayrisches und Currywurst. Die Speisen sind alle sehr gut! Bitte nur ab 18 Uhr reservieren. Auch unter der Woche! Das sagt doch alles, oder? Viel Spaß dort!

Ich kann alle negativen Bewertungen, die den Service und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis betreffen in keiner Weise verstehen. Wir sind heute zum zweiten Mal in einer größeren Gruppe hier zu Gast. Essen sehr gut und preislich angemessen. Ambiente: ist halt eines der schönsten Dörfer Bayerns, mehr muss man nicht sagen. Die Damen vom Service tun alles, um ihre Gäste zufrieden zu stellen. Eines der schönsten Wirtshäuser im Chiemgau.

Genau so geht bayerische Gastlichkeit. Ein Wirtshaus wie aus dem Bilderbuch.

Der Bayrische Wurstdalat war eher fade, die Curry Wurst sehr pikant und schmackhaft

Man sitzt ausgesprochen schön, ob im Biergarten unter Kastanien oder im Bierstübl. Bayerische Speisekarte von der besseren Sorte, netter, aufmerksamer Service, Preise eher günstig, was will man mehr?

Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich, die Bedienung freundlich und flott und der Preis für diese traumhafte Gegend günstig! Man kann es mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen!!!

Das Essen war ortstypisch einfach und deftig, man würde sagen bodenständig. Die Preise waren ebenfalls in der Ordnung und das Ambiente ebenfalls sehr authentisch. Abzüge muss ich leider beim Service geben. Wir haben freundlich nach einem Kiba gefragt (das Kind wollte ggf. einen) und bekamen ein recht patziges "Nein wir sind hier nur eine einfache Gaststätte". Sorry man kann das auch anders sagen. Dann kommen wir halt einfach nicht mehr.

Toller Biergarten unter Kastanien, Essen top mit lokalen Schmankerln. Sehr kinderfreundlich, mit kleinem Spielplatz.

Es spielte am Donnerstag sogar eine Gruppe mit Harfe. Obwohl die Küche erst um 17.30 Uhr öffnet, hatten wir bereits zehn Minuten später gleichzeitig unsere gewünschten Speisen. Man sitzt sehr schön im Biergarten und der Service ist freundlich und flott. Eine sehr gute Empfehlung für einen netten Abend.

Wir saßen im Biergarten. Es ist sehr gemütlich und das Personal top. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Man möchte garnicht wieder gehen.

Im Biergarten sitzt man gemütlich. Das Essen hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Es war total geschmacklos, trotz nachwürzen mit Pfeffer und Salz. Hatten Schwammerlrahmsuppe mit Semmelknödel bestellt. Das Essen kam in einem Suppenteller mit einem Suppenlöffel. Aber das war ja keine Suppe. Sosse war so eingedeckt, fast wie Pudding. Totale Mehlpampe. Da werden wir nie wieder hin gehen

Schöner schattiger Biergarten unter Kastanien, wer es sonnig macht, setzt sich an den Tisch auf der Wiese. Für Kinder ist ein Sandkasten da, allerdings liegt der Biergarten neben der Straße.. Es wird gut gekocht, der Service ist freundlich und mit den Gästen kommt man, wenn man will, schnell ins Gespräch. Schöne Atmosphäre, gefällt mir gut.
