Gasthaus Glaswerk in Bad Schwalbach

Ich war in Bad Schwalbach in Reha und regelmäßig in diesem Lokal. Sehr netter Betreiber und super Essen,gemütlicher außenbereich. Wenn ich nochmal in der nähe bin komme ich wieder. Danke!

Das Glaswerk ist nach wie vor ein wunderschöner Ort. Man merkt an vielen liebevollen Details noch immer, mit wie viel Herzblut die ehemaligen Pächter das Restaurant zur Landesgartenschau aufgebaut und gestaltet haben. Leider konnten uns die aktuellen Pächter kulinarisch nicht überzeugen. Während früher regionale Küche auf sehr hohem Niveau mit viel Kreativität serviert wurde, wirkt die heutige Speisekarte eher wie ein Mix aus verschiedenen Küchen – von Burgern über Pasta und Wraps bis hin zu Schnitzel Klassikern –, allerdings auf dem Niveau eines Schnell Imbisses. Die neuen Betreiber geben sich etwas Mühe, doch das gastronomische Gespür und die Liebe zum Detail, die das Glaswerk früher ausgezeichnet haben, vermissen wir heute sehr. Deshalb sollte man bei den vielen älteren Top-Bewertungen bedenken, dass diese überwiegend noch aus der Zeit der früheren Pächter stammen.

Also wir haben hier die Cheeseburger probiert und können nur eins sagen: hingehen und essen 👍👍👍. Wir kommen wieder😊

Das Ambiente ist etwas heruntergekommen, aber super gemütlich! Der Service ist total aufmerksam und super freundlich. Aber das Essen… GENIAL! Wir hatten den Farmer und den Italian Burger und die waren wirklich absolut fantastisch! Unglaublich lecker und definitiv einen Besuch wert!!

Ich war leider nicht begeistert, denn es ist im Restaurant viel zu warm, der Service war leider auch nicht hochgradig bemüht und das Essen war zwar insgesamt gut, beispielsweise der große Salatteller ist aber eine Frechheit in Bezug auf die Preisleistung. Für 9,90 € habe ich eine halbe Tüte gemischten Salat erhalten, den ich bei Rewe für 1.29 kaufen kann, dazu etwas Mais und Knoblauchsauce.

Wir sind per Zufall in Bad Schwalbach gelandet. Vorort haben wir in einer Kneipe nachgefragt, wo man denn hier essen gehen könnte. Man hat uns dann zum Glaswerk geschickt. Ein wirklich sehr schönes Restaurant. Die Inneneinrichtung ist super passend, zu dem alten Fachwerk. Ich habe gelesen, dass es erst restauriert wurde. Man sieht es. Wir saßen im ersten Stockwerk. Und obwohl es draußen 30 Grad waren, war es drinnen bei geöffneten Fenster wunderbar. Der Service war super. Das Essen war heiß. Vor allem der Burger (Haus Glaswerk Burger) hat sehr gut geschmeckt, die Pommes dazu wirklich lecker und sogar so viel das ich es nicht alleine geschafft habe und meiner Begleitung davon abgegeben habe. Die leichte Musik im Hintergrund war auch sehr angenehm. Allerdings gebe ich nur 4 Sterne für die gesamte Bewertung. Bad Schwalbach wird diesem Restaurant nicht gerecht. Die Beste Lösung wäre, man nehme das gesamte Restaurant mit Personal und man platziert es an einem Ort, dort wo es dem auch gerecht wird. Ich kann nur so viel sagen. Der Weg dorthin war nicht so dolle. An jeder Ecke irgendwelche Imbissläden, in denen die Besitzer selber draußen sitzen. Dort fühlt man sich nicht wohl. Schlimm, da man bei Bad Schwalbach eher an einen Kurort denkt. Aber das was man dort zusehen bekommt.... Da dreht man ja am liebsten um. Ich wünsche, dass das Restaurant reichlich Kundschaft bekommt und es so toll bleibt, so wie wir es heute aufgefunden haben. Dankeschön 😊

Wer gut und deftig essen will- ist hier richtig. Große Portionen, einfaches leckeres Essen. Bedienung sehr freundlich und flott- erstaunlich wie Mädels alles stemmen ohne in Chaos zu versenken. Die Räume sind ein bisschen eng,aber gemütlich und sauber. Wir kommen wieder

Super Ambiente, sowohl draußen als auch drinnen. Essen lecker, Service aufmerksam.

Salat etwas einfach (viel Eisberg und Mais), Rumpsteakstreifen hart und zäh. Burger durchschnittlich, vegetarisches Gericht recht klein. Preis / Leistung stimmt beim Essen nicht. Ansonsten netter Service, angenehme Ambiente und vielversprechende Speisekarte, der die Qualität leider nicht gerecht wird.

Da man bei der Reservierung nicht darauf hingewiesen wird, dass die Lokalität 2 Stöckig ist und sich die Toiletten im Obergeschoss befinden, ist nicht geeignet für Leute mit Gehbehinderung, die keine Treppen gehen können. Die Bestellung ging auch in die Hose.

Wir haben das Glaswerk zu unserer neuen Lieblingslocation in Bad Schwalbach erkoren. Die Speisekarte hat viel Außergewöhnliches zu bieten, der Service ist freundlich und das Ambiente in einem freigelegten Fachwerkhaus ist auch was Besonderes! Kommen auf jeden Fall öfter!

Das Essen war lecker und schön präsentiert, die Portion sind normal groß. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Wartezeit war angemessen und gut organisiert. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm- ruhig, sauber und schön eingerichtet, ideal zum wohlfühlen. Das Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis ist fair und stimmig. Hunde sind willkommen Je nach Wetter Situation kann man schön draußen sitzen. Eine Reservierung wird empfohlen.

Schon vor dem Inhaberwechsel waren wir regelmäßig im Glaswerk zu Gast und stets zufrieden. Umso trauriger waren wir als es dann schließen musste. Dass sich nach einiger Zeit ein neuer Betreiber für das Fachwerkhaus gefunden hat und dem Glaswerk wieder Leben eingehaucht wurde, ist einfach grandios. Wir waren zwar seitdem erst zweimal da, aber beide Male vom altbekannten Ambiente und der neuen Karte begeistert! Die Burger sind der absolute Wahnsinn, Sonderwünsche werden problemlos entgegengenommen und erfüllt ☺️ Die Preise sind stimmig mit dem Angebot. Mohamed haben wir als sehr liebenswert und äußerst freundlich kennengelernt - ein Gastronom, der mit Hingabe seiner Berufung nachgeht. Auch das Personal ist höflich und kümmert sich zuverlässig um Gastwünsche, wenn auch manchmal die Wartezeit etwas lang ist, bis man nach weiteren Bestellungen gefragt wird. Wir freuen uns, dass Bad Schwalbach dieses Juwel durch die Übernahme erhalten bleibt 🙏🏼 Und auf unseren nächsten Besuch freuen wir uns ebenfalls 🥰🤤

Ich war in diesem Restaurant essen und bin wirklich sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war super lecker, frisch zubereitet und schön angerichtet. Man merkt sofort, dass hier Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und sorgt dafür, dass man sich als Gast willkommen fühlt. Auch die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist sehr angenehm und entspannt. Ich kann dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Wer gutes Essen und freundlichen Service sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Ein uriges, gemütliches Gasthaus in einem Jahrhunderte alten umgebauten Fachwerkhaus in zentraler Lage. Die Speisekarte beinhaltet unteranderm ein sehr umfangreiches Frühstücks Angebot, verschieden Fingerfood und Hamburger Variante an, eine sehenswert Auswahl an Salaten findet man auch in der Speisekarte in der auch Schnitzel und andere Fleischgerichte und spezielle Kinderteller aufgeführt sind, auch die Getränkekarte lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist voll gerechtfertigt. Die von uns verköstigen Speisen wurden frisch zubereitet, von guter Qualität und geschmacklich sehr gut. Der Service ist außerordentlich gastfreundlich und sehr flott. Das Lokal erstreckt sich über zwei Stockwerke, wobei das Obere nur über eine recht steile Treppe zu erreichen ist, es gibt auch einen schönen Biergarten. Wir können unsererseits nur eine Empfehlung abgeben.

Wir waren gestern zu zweit im Gasthaus Glaswerk und waren schlichtweg begeistert. Die Speisen werden sehr schön angerichtet und es schmeckt hervorragend. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich! Das Ambiente in einem alten umgebauten Fachwerkhaus ist sehr gemütlich und lädt zu einem gemütlichen Abend ein. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung und wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Im Service wurde sehr viel vertauscht, viele falsche Getränke gebracht. Aber ansonsten sehr lecker und vielseitig. Die Zubereitung und die Qualität der Speisen waren hervorragend.

Wir waren in den letzten Wochen 2 x im Glaswerk, beim ersten Mal hatten wir den Cheeseburger und den Veggieburger, beide sehr lecker und mit Steakhouse Fries Beim 2ten Mal gab es Clubsandwich und Tagliatelle in Tomatensoße mit Gemüse Getrunken haben wir hausgemachten Tee mit Minze und Ingwer Der Service war beim 2. Mal leider etwas lustlos Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm und im Sommer gibt es wohl auch schöne Terrassen Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen

Das Gasthaus hat durchgehend geöffnet und es sind auch Hunde erlaubt. Es gibt eine kleine Spielecke für Kinder. Das Ambietente ist sehr schön mit freistehendem Fachwerk. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A truly cozy place, full of warmth and a charming, rustic atmosphere. The staff is very hardworking, friendly, and lovely. The food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long for our orders.

I can highly recommend the date burger, it was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. One small drawback: it was too cold for us on the first floor, but it was also below freezing outside.

This was our first time at Glaswerk, and we especially loved the ambiance – everything was made of wood and very cozy. The food was delicious, especially the seasonal pumpkin salad. However, the staff seemed a bit flustered and stressed at times. We were told to come downstairs to pay, and they didn't check on us at all. But overall, we can definitely recommend it, at least as far as the food is concerned. The prices are also reasonable, but you should have a bit more money in your wallet. The three of us paid just under €50.

Unfortunately, disappointing under the new owner. We used to be regulars at the Glaswerk and spent many enjoyable hours there. We also regularly used the upper floor with our club group and always felt at home. Unfortunately, a lot has changed under the new owner – both the food and the way we treat guests have deteriorated significantly. Because some members of our group only ordered drinks, we have now been informed that we are no longer allowed to reserve the table upstairs. This is a real shame, especially since we have been loyal guests for many years and our local group in Bad Schwalbach certainly has a certain reach. The ambiance remains pleasant and cozy – that's worth the second star. Otherwise, we can unfortunately no longer recommend the Glaswerk as we once did.

The food here is very good. I always enjoy coming here.

All the side salads were very poorly washed: every bite was sandy. We and another table complained, but no one in the service team cared. The rest of the food was mediocre: the burgers and the rump steak had good meat, but were barely seasoned. The schnitzel was tough and bland. Soft drinks tasted stale and watered down, and the homemade orange soda was just sparkling water with a dash of orange juice. The main courses for six people arrived at long intervals, so some of us were almost finished before the rest of us got their food. Overall, the service was inattentive and very slow. An ordered salad and a side dish didn't arrive (but that didn't bother us because of the quality). Payment was complicated: The waitress said we couldn't pay at the table; we'd have to go down to the counter to see the manager. Then he wonders why we come here and don't pay at the table, and it takes forever to create the bill or remove the missing side dishes.

I haven't been so surprised in a long time. The service was super friendly; I can't think of anything negative to say about it. The atmosphere was super chilled and atmospheric. The food was actually ready together, and the portions were generous. A big plus: even dogs were allowed. The restrooms were clean. Overall, I recommend the restaurant.

The food was OK. The ambience is unusual and nice. The organization is poor. The way the boss treated the really young employees is completely unacceptable. One of them was told off at the table because he didn't know the name of the dish. I think it's great when 16-year-olds earn a little extra money. Everyone can forget something. There were no more drinks after the meal. The owner only cleared half the table, and despite asking us to order more drinks, he didn't come back. Paying at the table doesn't work. We waited a good half hour to pay. The tone and organization need to be improved. And importantly - it wasn't full.

A beautiful, welcoming restaurant with beautiful wooden beams, pretty table decorations, soft jazz music playing and a great tea selection. We just stopped for a drink of tea and latte as we had already eaten, but we will be back.

During my orthopedic rehabilitation in April, the Glaswerk was our first stop. The ambiance alone is worth a visit. Whether it was just a coffee for two or an Easter dinner with 12 family members, it was always perfect. The food was delicious and the service excellent! The breaded feta cheese was especially huge, and the rösti with Gorgonzola was delicious. The burgers are also a highlight. We felt very welcome. Thank you for that. We'd love to come back again, despite the distance. Highly recommended.

We waited a long time to place our orders, drinks or food were forgotten, and we also had to wait a long time, especially for drinks. I have to say that both times it wasn't particularly busy, which is why it took longer; the service staff were simply rather slow. I come from the restaurant industry myself, so I know how things work and what you have to do. Otherwise, everything was really delicious, and we had a great time both times. Overall, the food and atmosphere were really top-notch.

The Glaswerk is a beautifully renovated half-timbered building with a charm all its own. The service is attentive and prompt. They offer both vegetarian and vegan dishes – the taste is truly outstanding. It's definitely worth a visit!

I've been there very often.....very good food!!! But the Gasthaus Glaswerk is by far the best in terms of the quality of the food!!!! The salad... like fresh from the field... The different dishes are harmonious and beautifully decorated.... Yeast beer and pilsner on tap.... The interior is rustic, harmonious, comfortable and authentic... And the operator is always courteous with a constant eye on his guests. Finally an innkeeper who lives his profession from the heart!!! Absolutely recommended!!!!

Unfortunately, the food was cold, the service hardly spoke any German and didn't know the menu. We also didn't ask if we wanted anything else to drink. As mentioned, the food wasn't hot when you cleared it away, but you ate almost everything The bottom line is that the food and unfortunately the service did not do justice to the ambience

A great restaurant with a beautiful half-timbered house atmosphere to have breakfast in Bad Schwalbach on the weekend. You will be welcomed and served very friendly. We come here for the food and the great service. Everything we have tried has been excellent, and the portions are generous. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

When we arrived we waited for 20 minutes and in the end had to go in ourselves and had to ask if they could serve us. We were then told that they hadn't seen us and then came out. When we had a question about the food about rice we were told in a cheeky tone that he had no idea what rice it was. We waited an hour for a wrap and 3 curry sausages with fries and in the end we didn't like it either

The restaurant is super cozy, and when the sun is shining you can also sit outside to eat. There is a large selection of delicious dishes (recommendation: Wiener Schnitzel with fried onions!) and the staff is very friendly. I can only recommend it.

We really enjoy eating there. It doesn't matter whether you come for lunch or with guests in the evening. The boss is exceptionally friendly and that is transferred to the staff. The food is very good, plentiful and you can choose from a variety of options. So always a good choice. And the glass house with its historic core is worth seeing.

Me and my wife's food tasted very good, but the Glaswerk Farmer Burger tasted very good, but then the menu has to say what's in it, there were tomatoes and lettuce on it, even though that's not on the menu, that's not possible, but we still like to come by again and again because it tastes very good there and drinking there also tastes very good

First things first: the cheese burger was delicious! The service was friendly and the location was very attractive. Everything was really good in terms of price. One point was deducted because an appetizer was forgotten and it was extremely warm upstairs, so we wanted to get some fresh air again quickly.
