The waitress/boss would be nice, but unfortunately she is very pushy and distant, which is probably due to her alcoholism. In any case, the flag that hit us was immense. And since she had no symptoms of failure, the problem is probably chronic. The inn urgently needs renovation. And cleaning should probably become even more urgent. And washed the clothes. We actually wanted to eat something, but we lost it within seconds. When I ordered a second beer to numb my impressions, she said, "Really? Nobody usually drinks a 2nd drink." That probably says it all. And if you only have two or three rotting teeth left in your mouth, you should urgently go to the dentist.

Well, I don't really know what to write. “Experience gastronomy” probably describes it best?! The stay was somehow grotesque even though we just wanted to have a coffee. The lady, who has already been described several times and that's why I'll save it here, was nice and committed in her own way. Unfortunately, the coffee milk was rancid and there was lipstick on the cup, so I immediately got a new cup. The new cup and coaster had such strong abrasion that you had to be careful not to cut yourself. Everything is still somehow acceptable and all in all amusing. What doesn't work at all was a larva in my daughter's yellowed paper straw. Luckily we noticed it in time...

We have been there several times and have to say. Super happy with the whole thing. What made me very happy was that after I ordered the schnitzel, I heard the hammer being swung in the kitchen... something you rarely hear these days. Mostly everything comes from the reporter these days. When it came to the side dishes, spaetzle fried potatoes... you could immediately taste that they were made on site and were not dry products. We got to know the restaurant by chance in the winter. Back then it was a beef broth as a soup...and it was so good, even here it wasn't mixed with any powder. It's amazing that something like this still exists and at this price. It's great and big praise to the boss, cook, server and dishwasher... I'm convinced that the lady of the house can do all of this herself. I take my hat off to that. When I read here that the clothes are dirty and unkempt, I wonder what we would look like if we did everything ourselves...it's done and you can see it. To be honest, I find it very presumptuous and impudent to comment on the appearance of my hosts. It's up to each individual. What's important to me is that it tastes good and we're welcome, and that's definitely the case here. We were always served politely and courteously and if we had any special requests, which we almost always have, they were always fulfilled to our complete satisfaction. We always have fun when we are there and can immerse ourselves in this world. 5 stars and keep it up, I have the greatest respect.

We actually just wanted to have a coffee, but as soon as we entered the restaurant we were yelled at that the kitchen was already closed. The service was absolutely unfriendly, mumbled a little nervously to herself and angrily threw a dirty wiping cloth into the sink behind the counter in front of us. The waitress seemed a little drunk. When my wife asked if we could get coffee, the blunt answer was "good if you understand German". We didn't know what that meant exactly and left immediately. Absolutely zero hospitality and no interest in making any money with 5 guests. We visit the area from time to time, but we will definitely avoid this place in the future. Zero recommendation, even one star is too much! ---- When you ask who bought us, I can only shake my head. We are guests who were treated unkindly, probably just like some guests before. ---- But now you are distorting the facts! The table was completely OK, but despite asking politely, the lady was very stinky and you don't have to put up with that. Furthermore, we weren't asked if we wanted to eat something, but were told straight away that "the kitchen is already closed!". And there are witnesses to that too. But no matter what else you write to make our review appear unbelievable, we are no longer interested in dealing with you. Thank you very much and never see you again!

Addendum because the boss replied: We addressed our criticisms directly in the restaurant, so your statement makes no sense, I would dish it out afterwards. The only thing we haven't mentioned is the extremely unkempt physical condition, because after more than 20 years of catering, it should be second nature to you not to enter a restaurant like that, let alone run it! We ate here on a Friday afternoon because we discovered the inn by chance while passing through. We were the only guests. The table we went to had a very dirty tablecloth, but was beautifully set. The taste of the food was okay. However, I had 3! Hair and similar fibers in my fried potatoes. I mentioned it, but the boss couldn't explain it (which as a guest doesn't matter to me how that can happen, it shouldn't happen). As compensation, we were given two drinks and a side dish off our bill. Unfortunately, we also discovered that the boss was extremely unkempt (heavily soiled apron, very dirty, black fingernails), which finally finished us off. Unfortunately, we can only advise against visiting here at the moment.

We spontaneously passed this inn when we were looking for a restaurant that was open at lunchtime, which is not so easy in the Black Forest😅. The service was very friendly and accommodating and the food was also very tasty. The menu is small, but each of us found something to eat. The atmosphere is cozy and we felt like we were in good hands. Not least thanks to the friendly landlady/waitress, who also had our sense of humor. If we were to spend a longer vacation here, we would definitely come back.

Small inn right on the street. There are parking spaces opposite, also for bikers. Coffee was delicious, service was warm and friendly. A notice! No card payment possible, it's best to put money in your pocket. If you don't have anything with you, you can also pay by bank transfer (happened to me). Highly recommended even without card payment.

Eating gluten-free is not a problem here. The service is excellent and the food is very tasty.

After a last-minute decision to take a short walk in the nearby town, I ordered second places here by phone for 6 p.m. We got there about 20 minutes earlier and were able to choose our own spot; there were still enough (shady) free spots available. We were warmly welcomed and given enough time to make a selection or order. The drinks and food came in a normal manner Time window. The waitress also started small talk a few times, which we accepted or didn't think was intrusive. The food, 1x breaded schnitzel in cream sauce (a little dark) with champions and fries and 1x Black Forest trout "Müllerin style" tasted good. The salad that is mentioned again and again in the reviews is actually simply dressed but it was tasty. There wasn't even a thumb to be found in the salad!! There was also no smell of alcohol today. Not everyone likes the fact that a dirty white apron is noticeable. But maybe there is no other way because the circumstances don't allow it. The bill came as soon as we asked for it, everything was fine. It is impossible to know what fate some people may be going through or have gone through. Nobody can blame the appearance, which is always described subjectively. There may be no other choice in running the restaurant this way, but as she told us, she enjoys the work. Ultimately, it's up to different people's tolerance to accept it or not. In any case, we always try to understand and always accept the people we are dealing with. We are all a little more tolerant. She then came to the car and brought us 2 packs of gummy bears for our children/grandchildren, she had forgotten in a hurry. She probably liked us.

Die Bedienung war sehr nett, mein Freund Finn und ich haben eine Cola bestellt. Zu essen gab es leider grade nichts. Die Bedienung hat uns dann nochmal eine Cola eingeschenkt. Das war sehr nett.

Sehr unangenehmes Klima, das durch das Auftreten der Mitarbeiterin herbeigeführt wird. Hier wird nur noch vorbeigefahren, um an die Quelle oben zu kommen... Ganz, ganz schlechte Idee gewesen...

Die Bedingungen ist sehr launisch und man kann sie noch nicht einmal fragen, ob ein Platz frei ist , ohne das man gleich beschimpft wird.

Waren auf einer Motorrad Tour und sind vorbeigekommen. Der Schönes altes Haus, tolle Terasse mit Aussicht auf die Wälder. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen, und zu Tisch gebeten. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich, Essen und trinken Trinken Traumhaft. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Sehr nette Bedienung, durften uns hinsetzen wo wir wollten. Bier kalt und lecker. Das Essen war sehr lecker, Fleisch war sehr gut und es gab hausgemachte Spätzle auch die Pommes und die Soße waren sehr gut. Unsere Tochter hat sogar noch Gummibärchen bekommen was sie sehr gefreut hat. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt bei euch

Although the kitchen was closed we wanted to have a quick bite and a drink. The friendly host made us some fries, the sun and a a refreshing drink did the rest. Not exactly a 4 star inn but if you need just a drink and a snack and you get served they way she did for me that's worth 4 stars

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hatte immer einen guten Spruch auf den Lippen. Unsere Sonderwünsche wurden ohne Probleme erfüllt und kosteten sogar nichts extra. Das Essen war lecker und die Preise OK.

Hier gab es richtig gute frische Forellen. Der Hammer. Leider fehlte Personal und deswegen war die Bedienung hart am rotieren. Tolles Lokal mit toller Aussicht und gutem Essen.

Preis-Leistung absolut in Ordnung! Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr kinderfreundlich. Das Schnitzel mit Pommes für unsere zwei Kinder wurde sogar auf zwei Tellern serviert. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir waren während eines Kurzurlaubes täglich dort zu Gast. Immer unterhaltsam, freundlich, ein begnadeter Koch und nette Bedienung. Darüber hinaus sehr zivile Preise und eine tolle Umgebung. Gerne kommen wir bei nächster Gelegenheit wieder. Was verschiedene Bewertungen hier betrifft: Wer einen Sterne-Tempel erwartet, sollte auch einen solchen besuchen.

Ich bin in den letzten Wochen einige Male an diesem Lokal vorbeigefahren und wollte unbedingt einmal dort zum Essen hin. Angesichts von einigen fast schon vernichtenden Kritiken in unterschiedlichen Bewertungsportalen war ich fast auf das Schlimmste gefasst. Was ist passiert: genau das Gegenteil! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und absolut freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient! Wartezeit war absolut angemessen. Die Gestaltung des Lokals ist nicht hyper-modern, sondern ein wenig "old school", was für mich aber eher positiv und angenehm rüberkam, vor allem, da alles sauber und gepflegt war. Preisniveau ist angemessen, die Auswahl an Speisen ausreichend. Geschmacklich im Prinzip auch in Ordnung. Negative Kritik kommt gleich: einen Stern Abzug, weil: das einzig komplett vegetarische Essen ist dann doch ein wenig zu teuer (im Vergleich zu den Fleischgerichten). Und: wir sind Fans von gewürztem und gesalzenem Essen. Das war gerade für uns noch so okay. Andere hätten die Speisen wohl als versalzen bezeichnet. Ein wenig weniger Salz würde ausreichen! Ansonsten: wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und werden bestimmt wiederkommen. Dann probieren wir mal den Fisch!

Ich weiß nicht wie ich das sagen soll... Ich habe gestern eine sehr leckere Forelle gegessen. Das war super. Meine Kinder hatten ein leckeres Schnitzel. Ich selbst habe auch länger bedient, ich weiß, dass man mit den Fingern nicht ins Essen langen darf. Zumindest darf der Gast das nicht sehen. Ich war auch etwas verblüfft. Bis wir bedient wurden, ging doch sehr lange Zeit ins Land. Aber egal... Die Bedienung schien mir etwas verwirrt, auf unsere Meinung ging sie kaum ein. Das macht aber nichts, jeder hat mal einen schlechten Tag und die Schürze sieht vielleicht auch bald wieder bessere Zeiten... Wir haben gut gegessen, der Rest ist vielleicht tagesabhängig. Vielleicht sollte man nicht so schnell urteilen...

Besseres Essen als erwartet (gut bürgerlich) in unserem Fall Forelle mit Mandeln. Das Lokal ist etwa 1960 zum letzten Mal komplett renoviert worden. Nette Bedienung, zusammen mit dem Koch anscheinend die Pächterin. Angemessene Preise.
