Lovely restaurant, good service, delicious food and a fine wine list! We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended for a special occasion such as a birthday!

I had read something about this amazing schnitzel and really wanted to try it. For me, the quality is number one in Munich. The Wiener Schnitzel (veal) is perfect. The side dishes are great too. Potatoes and buttered carrots might seem unusual to some, but they complement the flavors perfectly and enhance the overall taste. The staff was very friendly and attentive. But given the price and location, I expect that. The menu reflects this, being more upscale. So please don't think this is a Bavarian or Austrian inn. It's quite the opposite, and the schnitzel is the unique feature.

Great food and a wonderful, attentive, and friendly team! In addition to the Wiener Schnitzel, which is now famous beyond the city limits, the veal sweetbread ravioli and the marinated plum dessert were absolutely divine!

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere for a Monday night and the staff were friendly with a slick service. Unfortunately the food was not at the same standard despite an exciting menu. Butternut squash had zero flavour, the main of short ribs with a black truffle sauce was a little tough and the sauce over salty and lacking flavour, with no hint of truffle. The price is significant and it would appear to be substance over style with the food. My husband faired better with an expensive steak and béarnaise sauce - the spinach accompaniment was one of the best things on the table. The breads at the start were rather delicious but the expected highlights of the main menu did not light up my palette at all, even if they looked pretty. A bit disappointed.

The Wiener Schnitzel is amazing. The service is simply perfect. All requests are catered to. Keep up the good work, you're fantastic.

Our Summer in the City package at the Bayerischer Hof included a four-course dinner in the garden. We were treated to very attentive service and a great table since we were accompanied by our Labrador. First, we were served three different types of bread rolls, which were delicious. For starters, we chose the Hereford beef carpaccio, followed by the asparagus cream soup with poached quail's egg, and for the main course, the sea trout with chive emulsion. Everything was very successful; our only criticism was that the fish in the main course was too warm. The whole experience was rounded off with crêpes Suzette and vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was a very enjoyable evening, and we would happily recommend it to others.

We had an amazing diner with friends. And Gernot was the pinacle of the expérience !

An upscale restaurant with delicious food and wonderful, charming service. We were truly pampered here – all the dishes were delicious; we had absolutely nothing to complain about. The dishes arrived promptly, fresh, and hot. They were accompanied by excellent wines and expert advice. The highlight was definitely the service – the gentlemen were all super friendly, accommodating, and occasionally up for a little joke. Prices are, of course, high, but appropriate for the setting.

Beautiful restaurant inside this historical location. The garden where we had lunch was pretty and nicely decorated. We had an Aperitivo with Prosecco, Spritz and juice and we chose the business lunch, which had three courses. Bread and butter was served. A really tiny amuse-bouche opened the lunch. The gazpacho was good but too little to call it a first course. The involtino was served with a nice sauce and side, but again it looked like more of a snack. The crème brulé tasted good but it was overcooked and it had a scrambled eggs texture. They kept opening and serving us bottles of water without asking. Not really fair considering they charge 14€ for a 0,75 bottle. They gifted us a small delicious chocolate cake, because they knew it was our wedding celebration. It was very appreciated. With wine (75€) coffee and Jägermeister we ended up paying 590€ for 6 people. I found it overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food served. Location is top. Service is on par.

An Evening in the Garden – Stylish, Warm, and Culinary Excellence Our evening at the Garden Restaurant at the Bayerischer Hof was a delight in every respect – atmospherically, culinary, and service-wise. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you sense the successful combination of modern design and relaxed elegance. The studio-style ambiance is open, tranquil, and very tasteful – the ideal setting for a special evening. We received a warm welcome and began with a delicious accompaniment from the kitchen, which already left us wanting more. For starters, we chose the "Garden Salad" with fresh figs, feta, various leaf salads, and a delicate dressing – wonderfully balanced, light, and aromatic – as well as a classic beef carpaccio that was perfectly tempered, tender, and superbly seasoned. The highlight of the evening – and a deliberate choice – was the highly acclaimed Wiener Schnitzel, which is rightly hailed as the best in the city on social media. Our decision to go with this was not random, but rather an expression of genuine curiosity about what is so often enthusiastically described. And we were not disappointed: The veal was of excellent quality, tender as butter, the breading light, golden yellow, and wonderfully crispy – a prime example of artisan precision and the highest product quality. The classic side dishes – potato and cucumber salad and cranberries – were also finely balanced and rounded off the meal perfectly. The fact that a seemingly simple dish like a schnitzel arrives on the plate with such perfection speaks volumes about the exceptional culinary achievements of Mr. Pfisterer and his team. It wasn't a "quick choice" for us, but a conscious decision – and a complete success. On our next visit, we look forward to discovering more dishes on the menu, as the overall culinary excellence is clearly consistently high. The service this evening was attentive, warm, and pleasantly unobtrusive. We would especially like to highlight Ms. Sturzwage, who accompanied us competently, friendly, and with great sensitivity – from the aperitif to the digestif. Conclusion: The Garden Restaurant offers much more than just a beautiful ambiance. It stands for cuisine with character, excellent quality, and genuine hospitality at a high level. We would be happy to return.

What's there to say? The entire menu was simply fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly, and the children's special requests were accommodated. This place makes every visit a pleasure.

We recently ate at the Garden Restaurant at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof and spent over €200 there. The food was truly excellent, but unfortunately, the evening was massively spoiled by the hotel's parking. Since there was no parking space outside, we used the hotel's underground garage. What we didn't know, however, was that they charge an incredible €27 per hour – without any information from the staff. The parking fee sign was there, but it was placed far too high and therefore difficult to see from the car – especially when you're concentrating on the traffic. We had to pay €27 for a single hour of parking – completely disproportionate and, for us, absolutely disappointing. We seriously question whether we will visit the Bayerischer Hof again in the future. At a hotel of this caliber, we expect not only excellent cuisine, but also transparent and fair conditions – which includes an honest and visible notice about such high parking fees.

We had dinner at the Garden because my colleagues gave me a voucher as a leaving present. The food was excellent, as was the ambiance. The service continued until I presented the voucher to pay. Even though we still had 15 euros left, we were told that it would expire due to its low value and that the hotel would not even consider it a tip. The most condescending thing, however, was that we were then asked loudly and clearly in front of all the other guests whether we would like to keep the bill as a souvenir. It was like second-class guests who really can't afford such a visit. Completely inappropriate for a hotel of this standard. We will definitely not be coming again and would definitely prefer one of the other large hotels in Munich.

A great spot for dine and wine, with impeccable service and a beautiful ambiance. Everything was delicious! Plus, its location within walking distance of Marienplatz and the old city center makes it a convenient stop while touring.

We stayed there for two nights and I have to say it was perfect. Annette de Bruyn, who works at the breakfast buffet, simply made the day with her demeanor and smile on the two mornings I was there.

The best schnitzel I have had in Munich. Surely worth a visit just for that.

Wow!! What a little oasis in downtown Munich! Excellent food, very courteous and personal service and a fantastic ambience! The Wiener Schnitzel and the beef fillet are highly recommended! The beef is excellent quality! Rarely have they been prepared so tenderly as butter. Thank you also for the first-class chocolate cake for my birthday.

Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and very accommodating staff. We were there at Christmas with the whole family and felt very comfortable.

One word: WOW. Delicious food - but can we talk about the service? We had our one year old son with us and the staff went above and beyond to make him comfortable and happy. We have been traveling for a while now and this restaurant by far has exceeded our expectations and will be tough to top! Highly highly recommended 11 out of 10!

From the amuse bouche to carpacchio cipriani, foam soup from langoustine, skrei with caviar-chive emulsion to the saffron savarin, everything was really first class. I would like to highlight the well-trained service, which accompanied the evening in an unobtrusive, professional and always friendly manner. We'd love to come back.

Very relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Casual and with an occasional joke, but with a very high service level. In addition to the good food, I enjoyed the service. Wine list is good and advice excellent.

Great ambience and very attentive service. Unfortunately we are disappointed with the food. Neither the beef tartare nor the fish tartare were particularly tasty. Not the salad with ricotta at all. The liver with lots of fibrous parts - the vegetarian dish was boring and the tagliatelle was partly sticky. It's a shame - we were there a few years ago and absolutely loved it back then.

Zweifelsohne ein kulinarisches Highlight! Hier stimmt einfach alles: Besonders gelungen ist der Einrichtungsstil, bestehend aus alt und neu. Die Kombination der verschiedenen Holzmöbeln harmoniert sehr gut mit dem kühlen Glas-Charakter des Wintergartenzimmers. Hier kann man sich wohlfühlen. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich, aufmerksam und zugewandt. Die Speisekarte bietet ein breites Spektrum qualitativ hochwertiger Speisen an. Das Niveau der Küche ist bekanntlich sehr hoch und entspricht durchaus den Erwartungen. Auch die Weinkarte fällt positiv auf. Fazit: Unbedingt besuchenswert!

Die gemütliche Atmosphäre des Garden ist großartig für private Anlässe oder für Geschäftstermine. Das Personal überzeugt mit bayrischer Lässigkeit und mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl beim Umgang mit Gästen. Die Karte ist angenehm klein – weniger ist hier mehr. Wer Lust auf ein gehobenes Erlebnis aber keine Sterneküche möchte, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

Das Garden ist ein ausgesprochen schönes und gemütliches Restaurant. Der Service ist, wie zu erwarten, auf höchstem Niveau - sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und fachkundig. Die ausgezeichnete Küche ist ein Gaumenschmaus. Ein Besuch in München verbinde ich immer mit einem schönen Aufenthalt in einem tollen Hotel mit Top Restaurant. Heute zum ersten Mal mit meinem Hund und ich war überrascht wie hundefreundlich man hier ist! Absoluter 5 Sterne Service - ich freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch !

Die Atmosphäre des Gardens ist toll! Leider hat für uns jedoch sonst nicht so viel gepasst. Das Personal hat sich sehr unprofessionell verhalten. Einzelne Beispiele: Wiederholt wurde abgeräumt während Personen am Tisch noch aßen. Das Essen wurde einfach hingestellt ohne zu erklären, was wir essen. Geschmeckt hat alles gut, es fehlte jedoch ein wenig der Pfiff den ich bei den abgerufenen Preisen erwarte. Alles in allem für uns leider kein stimmiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und das Service Personal gehört dringend geschult.

Eine ausgezeichnete Adresse für gehobene Küche und exzellenten Service. Man sitzt über den Dächern von München und genießt die Leckereien fernab von Stress und Hektik. Hier kann man mal einfach die Seele baumeln lassen. Man kann auch als Nichtgast des Hotels den Spabereich besuchen und danach hier schön essen gehen. Hierher komme ich sehr gerne zu zweit oder auch zur Familienfeier zum Essen her. Auch wenn die Preise gehoben sind, stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut.👍😊

Some days ago we decided to try the Garden Restaurant for dinner. The location is nice and airy, there were many service people moving around but only one person was taking orders - he kept himself rather busy, despite the fact that not many tables were occupied as it was still early. We ordered our starters and the mains. Bread and butter was put on the table. The table next to us ordered after us and what a surprise, while we still waited for our main course they had finished their two course dinner, had coffee, paid and left. And we kept waiting for our mains. During all this time, many service people hovered around but it seems the kitchen was understaffed. The food was OK, however when I saw the main dish - Lamb - I was somewhat surprised as nobody at our table was on a diet. Coffee was served but the bill again took its time to arrive. When going through it, we were taken aback to be charged for bread and butter with € 2.30 per head. I have never been asked to pay for this in Germany. This is the more surprising as the prices are rather steep; in Italy it is another case but there they call it "coperto" and usually the tables are white covered. At the garden a wooden table with individual table mats. Overall, food OK but not overwhelming, service needs improvement, together with the kitchen. Do I want to go there again??

Genuss der Extraklasse. Gericht geschmacklich perfekt aufeinander abgestimmte Komposition der unterschiedlichen Zutaten. Alles frisch, Qualität auf höchstem Niveau selbstredend. Roastbeef mit Speckbohnen, wirkt banal, war auf gewünschten Punkt gegart. Dezent mit Meersalz bestäubt Geschmack des Fleisches hinterließ Hauptnote im Gaumen. 5-Gang Menue stimmige interessante Geschmacksvielfalt. Wein, Lieblingstraube Sauvignon Blanc WEISSWEIN 2014 Sancerre „Chavignol“ Domaine Gérard Boulay Loire, Frankreich war unglaublich gut. First Class sind heutzutage viele, der Service in Auftreten, Erfahrung u. Professionalität beherrschen nur wenige. Hier funktioniert die Umsetzung perfekt,großes Lob an ein langjähriges Toppteam. Location stilvoll modern, architecktonisch Raum um sich wohlzufühlen bei kaum vorandener Geräuschkulisse. Wir kommen öfter, vielen Dank an den Koch und Service.*****
