Ganesha - indisches Restaurant in Landsberg am Lech

I am an afghan, I came from Rome, Italy. I ate at this restaurant. The food was very good. This restaurant is from India. My friend's name is Lali. He is a very good person.

The Ganesha is without a doubt the best Indian in the region. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted warmly and immediately feel welcome - the staff are consistently attentive, warm and professional. From a culinary point of view, Ganesha impresses across the board. The classic Indian dishes such as Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala are exceptionally prepared - wonderfully aromatic, perfectly seasoned and incredibly creamy. The side dishes also deserve praise: the naan bread is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the rice is always light and fragrant. Everything is just right here – taste, atmosphere and service. If you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine at a high level, Ganesha is the right place for you. Absolute recommendation!

You visit an indian restaurant in a small town in Germany and have not much expectations from it. But to our surprise, everything about this restaurant war legendary. The staff that greeted us. The interiors (looks like an old haveli/ royal residence) and the decors. And then came the food. We were speechless. Palak paneer and Bhindi masala were done to perfection. The spices and the balance of flavors were spot on! Naan and the garlic kulcha were well done. The desserts (Gajar halva and Kulfi) both were exceptionally well done. Level of sweetness was executed well. Not much sugary (as it is otherwise often the case in other indian restaurants.) Thank you for making our day. I'd take a detour every time I can to visit this place.

We went yesterday (Saturday lunchtime). Beautiful decor. Felt very opulent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. We had the vegetable Thali for 2. All 6 options were delicious. I can definitely recommend. Free papadums at the start and liquor drinks at the end (even a non alcoholic lychee drink for the kids). We eat a lot of Indian food and this was by far the best we have tried in Germany.

Great lunch menu, fast service, perfect taste

True Indian taste ! All dishes we ordered (vegetarian only) were prepared well, typical Punjabi style of cooking 😀 We enjoyed rose lassi a lot and it was of a good portion ( one of my kids could not finish ! ) Ambience was good and spacious table arrangements as well.

Good food, unfortunately the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Waited an hour for food. Empty drinks and attempts to discreetly contact us to order something more were ignored. No apology for the long wait and then one of the 5 dishes was delivered incorrectly. It's a shame, but never again... especially because 17 euros for 3 thumbnail-sized pieces of chicken in sauce (butter chicken) is simply too expensive

Excellent food, friendly team, nice restaurant We come here often for lunch during the week, but have also celebrated family gatherings here and were here for dinner this weekend with a large group of 40 people. Everything worked smoothly. The team is very well organized, attentive and friendly. The food was freshly prepared and once again tasted very good. The portions are generous and beautifully prepared. The restaurant has a cozy and special atmosphere and we once again had a wonderful evening here. Many thanks to the whole Ganesha team :-)

I was in this restaurant for the first time two years ago. Last weekend again when we went to Landsberg again. Both times I was amazed by the good food and service. I had Lentil Coconut Tomato Soup and Vegetarian Thali. Both were super tasty. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Everything is just perfect! The food tastes fantastic and there is a lot of choice for vegetarians and vegans. The atmosphere upstairs in the restaurant or down in the main square is really nice and the price-performance ratio is simply great. The service is also extremely attentive and friendly. I really enjoy eating out often, but Ganesha is still one of my favorite restaurants. :-)

Very tasty food, unfortunately it took a long time for the drinks to arrive (hence 1 star less). Otherwise everyone was very nice and helpful. If you like Indian cuisine or want to try it out, this is the right place for you.

Ganesha Mango lassi is my all time favourite. I have tried mango lassi in many Indian restaurants. But, none of them match the richness of Ganesha in the taste. All their staffs are very friendly as well

Food is really good and ambience as well

Unfortunately, our meal took a little longer, even though we were early and there was only one table in front of us. What we didn't like was that the children's dish, Butter Chicken, was spicy. We assumed that children's meals per se were not spicy.

In general good, we picked the wrong starter, but our fault, Main meal was good and plenty of food. We had bier, and bottle of wine too, not cheap but acceptable. We were then asked if we wanted an after dinner drink, we accepted, The waiter wanted us to pay without seeing the bill,? And more or less demanded tip 😯, Be carefully our bill was 86.30 euro 🤔

Lovely food but desparate for your money and tips

The food is really good, we've been coming back for years when we're in the area. The okra pods are highly recommended! It can sometimes take longer depending on the company, but for the most part everything is always fine!

We ordered the menu for our family celebration from Ganesha, with starters, main courses and desserts including warming containers, dishes and cutlery. Delivery and collection were completely uncomplicated and the food was wonderful as always, all guests were thrilled. We would do it again at any time!

When the waiter brought the bill, he said “I add 5 € for service, ok?”. I agreed as it was asked in quite an abrupt way but then he didn’t show me the card machine when I paid. I asked for a receipt but he said he could not give me one. Thankfully I got a text from my bank straight away confirming the amount paid. He had added 8€ for service without my permission. It felt like a well rehearsed tourist trap. Shame as it is in such a lovely location :(

My wife and I spent a long time choosing a place to spend the evening, we were attracted by the good prices and the menu. We ordered chicken, number 55 on the menu, fish, number 39, salad and French fries. And two beers. What was our surprise when they brought us portions, and they were huge. Everything was very tasty, satisfying. And that: excellent polite pleasant staff, huge satisfying tasty portions, the opportunity to sit inside in a beautiful interior, or outside in good weather. I definitely recommend it to everyone, if you choose to spend your evening here, you will not go wrong.

I have eaten in a restaurant several times, have also taken food away and recently had it delivered for my birthday party. The food and service were excellent both on site and in the catering. There is something for everyone when it comes to food. There is a huge selection of dishes with meat, fish and vegetarian as well as vegan. Everything tastes extremely delicious. Everything for the catering was delivered and set up as agreed. In addition to the food, you also get all the dishes and glasses. If desired, you can also get employees to serve food and drinks. The next day, after a quick call, everything was taken away again without the dishes having to be washed first.

Really very tasty food. Had the butter chicken and the chicken was so incredibly juicy and delicious. And the portions definitely fill you up. I'm not from here but if I'm in the area I would definitely eat here again.

We loved this Indian in the middle of the town centre. We had made a reservation & were seated outside on the cobbles which was nice. Menu was also in English & I had the most delicious lamb biryani hyderabadi. The waiters were very attentive and there is an extensive menu. No wait for us, but it was a Tuesday evening in June and very lovely to be seated outside in the main square. Highly recommended.

Traditional Indian restaurant right in the middle of Landsberg's old town. The rooms are on the first floor (there is an elevator). The map is very extensive. Nevertheless, everything seems freshly prepared. The level of spiciness and spice are adapted to European conditions. Main courses cost around €15. We found everything very tasty and would love to come back!

Amazing Indian food, service and great ambience. We ordered the butter chicken, sabji kofta and paneer kulcha. Everything was authentic and exactly like what you would expect at a Punjabi dhaba. Perfect blend of flavor and spice. We were looked after very well by Pindar who was super friendly and gave us great recommendations. He made sure we got everything we needed and went above and beyond in his service. We were also given free chai and litchi juice at the end of the meal. Highly recommend if you like good and authentic Indian food.

Well, the enthusiasts write “at best it’s surprising what’s on offer for such a low price”. Real? So much so cheap? Guys, think about it or have you completely lost your taste? The menu alone is far too extensive for good, handmade dishes! Good restaurants have a few dishes on the menu, but not pages and pages! We were there last week. Unfortunately, it tastes good, but just like everywhere else. No matter whether it's a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant or a friendly Vietnamese restaurant - everything is available with flavor enhancement to the point where you can't wait. Why is beef always so damn tender there? (Note: baking soda solves all toughness problems), is the chicken meat prepared x times from species-appropriate husbandry with free range in the air? We actually asked. Oh, you really can't tell us right now. But it tastes really delicious, if you don't have any other demands, that's great! Cheap food works exactly the same way, with large menus! So a maximum of 2 stars, for the pseudo-good-and-tasty ambience, but not for the tortured meat food. As always: waste of money. It was cheap, it was tasty, but the last time. And this time it was really the last time. Oh, by the way: If you ever spot a Vietnamese or Chinese man on the side of the road with a mini stall. He has 3 dishes with vegetables. That is delicious!!

As has often been the case today, an excellent lunch dish. The price-performance ratio is right, but it's surprising at best what's on offer for the low price (excellently seasoned and diverse range of vegetarian and meat dishes, salad or soup first, liqueur or chai tea afterwards). An always attentive and friendly manager who lends a hand, as do most of the other service staff. Even special requests are fulfilled without discussion. There is also a nice atmosphere, outside on the main square when the weather is good. The quality has been consistently good for over 5 years now. The best Indian restaurant far and wide in the Munich-Augsburg area and the southern surrounding area! Addition April 2024: A vegetarian delicacy that was previously unknown to me: Vegetable Tandoori Dum Biryani, a delicious, juicy and uniquely seasoned rice dish, baked with naan bread. First class!

The atmosphere is super nice. Very nice staff, there was a bit of a problem with German. And the food 😍😍😍😍! A large selection, including vegetarian dishes, and just really good. For my part, I love Indian food and therefore visit Indian restaurants more often. This is one of the best I've been to so far. I would love to come back.
