We went on a Date to this restaurant and I must say it was a great choice. We loved the food as we come from north india they have commendable options for north indian food and on top of that the taste is no match to other restaurants in terms of price, quality and quantity we have tried so far. And the hospitality is very warm and welcoming. We loved it. And we would recommend this restaurant with open heart. Thank You for Having us❤️.

If you want to experience an Indian culture, it is a must recommended place. As the staff is so polite to the customer and their service is amazing. Along with that you can find the perfect blend of spices in the food. I am sure the chef is putting a lot of effort and magic in the food.

First time I went today night for dinner with my family and It was delicious. All staff are friendly, well served every thing . I recommend to all surely come and try sehr lecker butter chicken, channa masala and special mango lassie.

Usually we love this place and the food is great but the service on Friday the 17th was horrendous. I had to ask twice for a table for two and had to wait 8 mins, standing around in the entry way. Order were only taken when you actively called the server, even after making eye contact and sitting there with closed menus. The food was lovely but we were not asked if everything was alright, when the drinks were finished halfway through the main course we were not asked if we wanted a refill and by the end there was neither a serving of Pan Mukhwas nor of the mango liquor usually served after dinner (which was served only to one table next to us and no other ones). We sat for 30 mins after our plates were cleared in front of empty glasses and again were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink or if we wanted to pay. Eventually we went to the front to pay and were glad to have left... Maybe next time the service will be better again or we'll go to Namaste instead, I suppose.

The food was amazing good plus the service today's was too accomodating and friendly. We visited first time but the food was that yummy that I would recommend this restaurant to everyone will definitely visit this restaurant again . We were offered mango snaps at the end that's was also to good. Super friendly service and highly recommend ❣️

First of all, the food is exquisite and I would recommend visiting the place for sure. The service is welcoming. The atmosphere is pleasant.

Das Essen hat geschmeckt, allerdings wurden wir ausgesprochen unhöflich behandelt. Vielleicht, weil wir keinen Mann dabei hatten. Man gab uns das Gefühl, lästig zu sein. Unmöglich. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Leckeres Essen. Das Personal schreibt Kundenfreundlichkeit sehr hoch. Man bekommt abends immer noch eine Kleinigkeit dazu.

I ordered the Lamm Tikka through Uber eats, and it was a truly disappointing experience. The meat was extremely poor in quality—old, stinky, and completely inedible. It didn’t even smell fresh, let alone taste good. For an online order, where customers rely on the restaurant’s commitment to quality, this was completely unacceptable. I couldn’t even finish the meal and ended up throwing it away. I strongly urge the restaurant to improve the quality of their ingredients and conduct better checks before sending out food. I won’t be ordering from here again unless they address this issue.

Always delicious. I come here regularly. Service and food are very good. I find the free starter particularly tasty: papadum with three dips. Thank you for always mentioning that one sauce is very spicy 😉 As a main course I can recommend chicken korma. Super tender meat. The plates come warmed up, a tea light warms under the bowls for the meat so that the food doesn't cool down. Keep it up, I'll be happy to come back.

The best Indian dishes I have eaten in Germany until yesterday. Tasty, nicely decorated and fresh ingredients. Highly recommended. It's just a shame that Masala Chai wasn't available to order shortly before 9 p.m. A big advantage is that dogs are allowed there.

Very good food, friendly and attentive service. The ambience is typically colorful and inviting for Ganesha. The inner courtyard is beautifully designed and is still pleasant even on warm days. However, I deducted a point because we had a table that was somewhat restricted by a large gray decorative elephant and the duster and cleaning product were next to us. It's good that there's cleaning, but maybe put it away before the store opens.

A real taste experience! I ordered Indian spices, slightly spicy - and got it! I haven't eaten such good Indian food in a very long time. The papadum was very fresh and also very tasty. Very pleasant atmosphere, although the music was a bit too loud for me at first. Very good, well-informed service staff.

Our first visit to Ganesha. The food is very good, there is a large selection, including vegetarian options. We sat in the inner courtyard, which has its charm but could be given more value. Very friendly waitress (unlike her colleague who initially served us). Conclusion: if you like Indian food, you should visit Ganesha!

We eat here at least once a week because it's just so delicious. Our favorite thing is actually the unbeatable lunch buffet for just €11.50 per person. Here you can always get changing and very tasty Indian dishes at the buffet. There are usually four main courses, two with meat and two without. There is also a very small selection of salads, sauces for dipping, naan bread, rice and a changing dessert. You can take whatever you want and eat it to your fullest. I don't know of any other restaurant where you can get such high quality and taste for a lunch buffet for this price! But it's also worth coming here in the evening. There is a large and varied menu so that everyone can find something that suits their taste. The prices are fair, the portions are decent and the taste is really, really good! Of course, you can also order dishes to be picked up and then eat them relaxed at home. We usually had to wait 5 minutes when picking up because the food was freshly made and packaged. Actually every time we've gotten a Mango Lassie to bridge the waiting time... what better way can you imagine?? The waiters are all very friendly and accommodating. Hospitality is still very important here. In the evening I would recommend making a reservation, but you can usually get a table that way, possibly with a short wait. Finally, I can only say that I would like to give more stars here if I could. I will continue to check back regularly!

Ganesha Indian Restaurant in Bayreuth offers an exceptional dining experience with its delectable food and charming ambience. The chicken curry is particularly scrumptious, and their desserts, especially the mango lassi, are unbeatable. For a comprehensive taste of their offerings, I highly recommend their buffet.

The packaging they use for delivery is of cheap quality and they want their customers to go and pick up the replacement for the leaked food they deliver.

By far one of the best restaurants in Bayreuth. I really enjoy coming here not only because of the excellent food, but also for the familiar and beautifully decorative ambience! The prices are more than reasonable for the large portions, also for the caring and charming service. I will definitely become a regular customer, I dream about the delicious curries day and night ;) More than recommended from my side!!

My absolute favorite Indian place - not just in Bayreuth. The menu leaves nothing to be desired, many things can be veganized. Prices are absolutely ok and the portions are more than fine. As an appetizer you get delicious papdam with three different sauces, with the main course you always get rice and naan (or the vegan version). Today the service was a bit lacking - one of the waiters was stressed and yet seemed annoyed when I asked him where our two main courses were, while our 2 year old had long since eaten his meal.. we had ordered 2 starters for him, which should explicitly come with our main courses. Unfortunately, our food didn't come until my son was already finished and then became restless. A pity. But it can happen and it's no worse than the many great evenings I've had there :) Definitely recommended.

The best Indian food and my number 1 place in Bayreuth.

The drinks and food came quite quickly and the vegetarian food was very tasty, but unfortunately my friend didn't like the duck as it was very fatty.

I did a round trip in North India and this brought back memories. Awesome restaurant, nice service and very delicious food. The buffet is till 2pm. and it’s absolutely worth it! Will be back on our next visit to Bayreuth.

I've been enjoying coming here with various friends for a long time. It's a nice restaurant with typical decoration. The ambience has always been pleasant, even if it can get a little loud from time to time, depending on the guests. The food has always been impeccable. Fresh, hot, wonderfully seasoned and, depending on your taste, with great spiciness. The service is always very attentive and courteous. I always enjoy coming back and can only recommend Ganesha.

Great authentic Indian food. Very tasty naan, great sauces - simply GREAT! Had the Tandori Mix, Butter Chicken and Paneer Karahi. Pani Puri first - definitely try it. Thank you very much, we'll be back.

A little update after a while: I would say that the glorious good times of Ganesha are over. Instead of Indian music, now elevator music. Service gentlemen tried to be friendly, nothing more. The female appearance is just missing. But let's get to the most important thing - the food. There was chicken with one of a thousand sauce choices. Rice, sauce everything ok. Good average. But the chicken didn't work at all. It had no taste. Consistency worked, but that was it. Yes, organic meat is not expected, but this meat didn't taste good at all. No idea which wholesale meat shop delivered this quality. If chicken meat plays a special role for an Indian, then please don't skimp on shopping. Hmm.. Conclusion? Everything tried very hard, but without love, soul and chicken taste.

Last time we had dinner at la Ganesha we were very pleased - nice and friendly atmosphere, good service and good Indian dishes. This time we were unfortunately quite disappointed of the food :( Large dishes and nice price, however not close to what we expected when it comes to quality and taste.

Very good food, my favorite Indian restaurant in Bayreuth. Beautiful garden in the inner courtyard, which invites you to linger, especially in summer. In addition to the very good Indian food, there are of course also delicious drinks. The lunch buffet is also recommended, although it now costs €11.50. Small drawback: no home delivery possible.

We felt very comfortable here, the price-performance ratio was great and the food was delicious! We ordered our dishes "slightly spicy" (level 1 of 4), which was a good idea because we like spicy food. But it shouldn't have been spicier, which is why I strongly advise people without a high tolerance for spiciness to let the kitchen determine the level of spiciness! Schöner Laden- bis auf den Anbau. Essen ist durchschnittlich. Da gibt es bessere Inder in der Stadt. Der Service hat selten Lust.

Sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptspeisen haben uns sehr lecker geschmeckt. Besonders gut hat uns in dem Restaurant die große Auswahl mit verschiedenen Erbsen, Linsen, Kartoffel, Pilz und Gemüsegerichten gefallen. Außerdem war es auch kein Problem, vegetarische Gerichte zu veganisieren. Das Personal kannte sich mit Veganismus aus und war zudem sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

This is so sad I have to give bad review😞 but we are disappointed with the food because it’s tasteless. Not as how Indian food should be. This is was our favorite Indian restaurant, and it’s really sad that they decrease the quality of the food and quantities from the spices. I am really sorry to say this but hopefully the restaurant will read this☺️ and bring back the great Indian food as before

Food is always excellent but the service sets them apart. Very friendly and generous staff. Last visit we were offered several complimentary shots of homemade mango schnapps. Also a great option for takeout.

Very good restaurant, but we are extremely disappointed by the fact that it is not possible to pay by card, and we discovered that only when we asked for the bill! My husband had to go and look for a bank while it was raining..this is a very unpleasant experience and the owner should have told us in advance. That's why we give 2 stars for the service. The waiters are friendly and kind.

Wir gehen regelmäßig bei unseren Besuchen in Bayreuth ins Ganesha oder holen uns Essen von dort nach Hause. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist sehr gut und bisher haben uns wirklich alle Gerichte- von der Vorspeise übers Hauptgericht bis hin zum Nachtisch- gut geschmeckt. Die Abstimmung der Gewürze ist köstlich-ich kenne kein besseres indisches Restaurant (und ich habe in vielen Städten entsprechende Restaurants ausprobiert). Einziges Manko: bisher wurde nur selten mein Wunsch erfüllt, ein Gericht wirklich scharf zu würzen, wenn wir telefonisch bestellt haben. Klar schmeckt es auch mild, aber ich bevorzuge nun mal scharfe Küche…

Hier gibt es das beste indische Essen! Ich war dort schon öfter essen und wurde kein einziges Mal enttäuscht! Auch take-away ist möglich. Lecker und das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt.
