Galeria Restaurant in Mannheim

I had a casserole that was cold. My friend had salmon that was tough. In addition, the staff was more unfriendly than I have experienced in a long time. I can only strongly advise against eating there

We tried the restaurant once just because of the view and because we were in the house anyway. The food distribution area didn't seem inviting to us and the employee who served the food was unfortunately not at all friendly. The daily meal was sold out (12:45 p.m.). The price level is at the same level as the complexity and quality of the food in a restaurant with service. About the food: Ours was freshly fried and was ok, e.g. breaded turkey schnitzel, fries and mushroom cream sauce for €13.95. While clearing the dishes, I noticed that other guests were handing in half-full plates. We were lucky with a table by the window. In my opinion, the view here was the highlight of the visit.

The food selection is very diverse, so there really should be something for everyone. The dishes are sufficient, but not too seasoned. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The atmosphere could be made a little more comfortable and sometimes there are queues at the checkout due to a lack of staff, but I can live with that. The food is consistently very good.

Tolles Kaufhaus. Ein "muss" bei jedem München-Besuch. Strategisch beste Lage am Marienplatz. Nicht zu übersehen und das ist gut so.

Schlechte Mitarbeiterin an der Kasse sehr unhöflich lügt auch noch dabei und gibt es nicht mal zu Unverschämtheit immer nicht mal bisschen am lachen!? Die die Gläser einräumt genau so man sagt ganz höflich hallo will was fragen keine Reaktion man muss wie ein Hund 5 mal hallo sagen um eine Antwort zu bekommen sehr schlechte Mitarbeiter sollte verbessert werden so hat keiner Lust hier zu essen 28.2.24 10:00 Uhr

The buffet has a selection for every taste, unfortunately some of the warm food no longer seems appetizing and is lukewarm at best. The prices seem relatively high.

Were there again today 😁.The pasta salad was fresh and delicious.The selection at the buffet was large and the prices were reasonable 😁👍🏻

The Wiener schnitzel wasn't that tasty 😋 especially the meat wasn't that good and the fries were too dry without mayo or ketchup. Not everything was bad but the Viennese style Wiener schnitzel was too dry. Maybe we'll see if we go there again at some point.

In the restaurant you have a nice overview of Mannheim Paradeplatz. The food is good and cheap. I ordered a lemonade.

Das kleine Cafe in der vierten Etage ist nett und in Ordnung mit gutem Angebot und schönem Blick von oben. Das Restaurant in der fünften Etage ist das schlechteste , welches wir in München angetroffen haben! Die Speisen sind an der Grenze der Essbarkeit, zähes Fleisch, lauwarm wie auch das Gemüse, alles liegt den ganzen Tag in Warmhaltekästen und kommt auch so auf den Teller, Mikrowelle o.ä. sind nicht vorhanden. Dazu absolut unfreundliches Personal an den Theken und an der Kasse, wo dann hohe und vollkommen unangemessene Preise verlangt werden. Wir werden mit Sicherheit nie wieder dort hingehen!

Ok for coffee and cake but for eating it's €13.90 for turkey schnitzel hunter style with fries and then with cream sauce instead of hunter's sauce so it tastes better in the canteen than here

At breakfast: In times of massive amounts of plastic waste, not just in the oceans - individually! - Sausage slices and salmon slices wrapped in plastic foil on the buffet are not acceptable! Disposable plastic egg cups, no ready-made rolls like before - that's not gastronomy anymore! Never again !! Sad, after decades of decent system catering.

I was there on April 27th, 2022 and I didn't like the food at all and when I expressed it, the company said that the sentence "the food doesn't taste good at all" had violated its personal rights and that I wasn't even there as a customer. .. Complaints came via email today... Is that normal??? Luckily I saved the photos...

Ich war in der Parfümabteilung um für meinen Mann sein geliebtes Aramis zu kaufen. Es standen die 110ml Eau de Toilette Flaschen für € 93, 49 da und gleich daneben die 240ml Eau de Toilette Flaschen für € 49,99. Was glaubt Ihr, hab ich gekauft. Kein Wunder, wenn Kaufhof Galeria Pleite macht, bei der Preiskalkulation.

The prices are awesome. A bag of ketchup for €0.80, a schnitzel for €17… Really crazy, absolute restaurant quality. However, the schnitzel was very good and freshly prepared, and the size and amount of fries were also appropriate. You get full. The selection is inherently large, but at some point many dishes are no longer available at lunchtime, especially on weekends. Few staff, some of whom would rather clean than serve customers at the checkout. The customer is king and the focus here needs to be put more into focus. However, the lady at the grill counter was super friendly!

Ich war um 12.00 Uhr im Restaurant,ich hatte einen Gemischten Teller,der Broccoli war kalt die Nudel mit Käse überbacken waren sehr hart gebacken und die Salatbar war noch nicht mal eingerichtet,ich würde mich freuen wenn ihr etwas daran arbeitet danke im Voraus Mfg

Der Gyrosteller war sehr gut. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt der Ausblick über Mannheim Paradeplatz sehr schön. Weiter zu empfehlen.

Koch war unfreundlich und übergeht kleine Kunden. Motzt dass Mittag erst 11.45 Uhr los geht obwohl Betrieb voll am laufen ist. Darauf angesprochen war er patzig und uneinsichtig. Kein schönes Erlebnis wenn das Kind 15 Minuten ignoriert und auf Pommes warten muss während alle anderen Kunden dran kommen...

Vorab: eigentlich hätte ich hier gar kein Geld lassen wollen, weil ich es unmöglich finde, dass die Paprikasauce hier immer noch antiziganistisch betitelt wird. Letztendlich gab's dann für teuer Geld Beilagen, weil naja, wer seine Saucen immer noch so benennt, hat selbstverständlich auch keine veganen Essen im Angebot (Kuchen gabs tatsächlich1 Sorte, leider viel zu sauer). Und die Mitarbeitenden verweisen hinsichtlich der Inhaltsstoffe auch nur auf die dicken Ordner. Ich bin froh dass ich diese Lokalität in der Regel meiden kann. Die 2 Sterne gibt's nur für die Sauberkeit & die Tatsache, dass der Rentnertreff hier relativ günstig zu warmen Mahlzeiten kommt.

Great shopping - proper department store and almost invariably good food area at the top of the building.

Die Bedientheke ist sehr groß gehalten und es gibt reichlich Auswahl an verschiedenen Nahrungsmitteln. Das Sitzplatz Angebot ist auch sehr groß. Schöne Aussicht beim Essen. Das Essen schmeckt und reichhaltig. Die Preise sind auch ok. Die Salatbar fand ich etwas überteuert. Freundliches Personal und Hilfsbereit.

Ach Leute, in jeden Restaurant gibt es mal was was ungenießbar ist. Außerdem kommen dir die Mitarbeiter gerne entgegen. Das Essen schmeckt die Mitarbeiter geben sich auch Mühe also ich kann mich überhaupt nicht beschweren. Also erst selbst Probieren dann könnt ihr euch selbst davon überzeugen 😉

Kleines " FRÜHSTÜCK! . AM ANFANG DES TAGES.! EY REICHT!

Ich war heute zum frühstücken da, einmal und nie wieder. 1 Stück Butter, 10g 1,25€, Brötchen sehr klein, 0,95 €, kleines gekochtes Ei, 1,25€ Siehe Bilder und Kassenzettel.

man kann das alles essen. Ein Gourmettempel ist es natürlich nicht ;-) Was mich wundert: dort wird jetzt schon um 17 Uhr Feierabend gemacht. Nach 16.30 Uhr kommt keiner mehr rein. Ich habe am Paradeplatz oft Pause und unser Pausenraum ist leider viel zu weit weg. Deswegen gehe ich schon mal dort rein. Allerdings liegt meine Pause auch schon mal später. Jetzt komme ich da also nicht mehr hin. Vielleicht kann mir das Betreiberteam ja sagen, ob das so bleiben soll?

Sehr gutes Frühstück. Viel Auswahl, alles frisch und sauber. Gehen sehr gerne dort Frühstücken.

Als ich Ende April nach einigen Wochen wieder einmal am Marienplatz war, war ich zunächst überrascht, dass man in den Kaufhof gehen konnte. Stellte aber sofort fest, dass außer der Lebensmittel-Abteilung alle anderen Kaufabteilungen abgesperrt waren. Eine Maßnahme aufgrund der "CORONA-Pandemie", ein ungewöhnlicher Anblick!

One of the best places to get a coffee in Marienplatz, is the coffee shop on the 4th floor. It has a corner location looking over Marienplatz. Coffee is from a proper Italian coffee machine - maybe not made by an expert, but good enough. Try and grab a table by the full length windows.

This caters very much to tourists so is full of global brands. The prices are high, the sales and discounts are puny. The toy department is fun to go through. It's usually mobbed.

Galeria Kaufhof is a Cologne based department store found just off Marienplatz in the Old Town of Munich. We passed by during our recent visit to the city and enjoyed their Christmas window displays which makes use of numerous animated scenes with stuffed animals. This is something enjoyable to see while enjoying the local Christmas markets in the area. Given the convenient location of Galeria Kaufhof, it is an easy inclusion for general sightseeing in Old Town area. We also found a Christmas World section of the department store on the 4th floor fairly interesting. Numerous tree ornaments and other holiday house decorations were being sold. If nothing else, this was a good way to get out of the cold to warm up a bit during our visit.

Stopped in the Cafe on floor 4 I think. Had cappuccino & apple strudel. Very good! Also, sat by the window, great view of the Marienplatz. Very enjoyable & I would recommend visiting the Cafe.

if you are a member of this mall you do save. the kitchen and perfume section are the best. take a break at the coffee corner on 4th floor.

Wenn man einen guten Platz erwischt super Aussicht auf den "Paradeplatz" Mannheim. Ist halt Kaufhausgastronomie, also nicht unbedingt ein Kulinarischer Höhenflug. Die Preise für Innenstadt OK, für die Qualität eher etwas hoch

Such an awesome store! I spent some time in this towards the end of my trip to get some gifts for friends and family back home. Anything and everything you could imagine you can find in this store. If you're hungry, they have a large gourmet food shop located on the lower floor. They also have a wide variety of make-up brands, clothing, dishware, toys, stuffed animals, kitchen utensils, pretty much just about anything you could think of that you would want or need. If you're looking for something in particular, this would be a good start. Most employees know English well enough to get by.

Tolles Selbstbedienungsrestaurant im 3. Stock des Kaufhofs, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sensationeller Blick auf den Paradeplatz.

I always go on Saturday for the best lunch of my week. I pay around 5 to 9 euros and I can try many different tastes! This is the closest thing we get from an "all you can eat Brazilian buffet".

We enjoyed having lunch here as we were quite tired from too much shopping!. The food offered was well presented, sensibly priced, and we were able to pick and choose from such a big range. We felt it was classy despite it being in a department store.

Located in the city-center, right opposite to Marienplatz Church ... a departmental store. Just step-in and you get ...possibly everything starting from garments, toiletries, choclates, home-décor ... and, so on. You name it and its there. While in Munich, don't miss this store.

Si accede alla galleria direttamente dalla Metro S-Bahn. si rimane subito colpiti dall'ampiezza e dalla possibilità di scelta offerta. Curioso il passaggio, nell'ambito dello stesso piano, dalle borse ai generi alimentari. Con 5 piani, avrete la possibilità di trovare quanto necessario a soddisfare i vostri gusti in tema di vestiario, profumi, alimenti tipici e non, ecc.

We don´t come here too often as Marienplatz is so crowded. But, I love the gourmet department store in the basement. The seafood is super fresh (and one of the few places to get sushi grade fish), the meat and cheese selections are fantastic and their wine cellar is great and well priced. Plus, there is a nice champagne bar that serves some great bubbly. Will for sure be back for more fresh food....else the store seems a bit messy to me.

If you feel weary from your wanderings around the city center attractions in Munich you might wanna step inside Galeria Kaufhof for some shopping or simply window shopping. You can find most everything, supermarket with chocolate and sweets on the ground level, we bought some bitter ones and clothing on the upper floors, where we purchased some trekking shoes. On the last floor it features toys and kids apparel although nothing you wouldn't find elsewhere. Overall, is more pricey than other malls but eventually the quality and the variety comes on top. I like it.

Avendo a disposizione poco tempo ci siamo fermati a pranzare in questo self-service posto all'ultimo piano del grande magazzino più conosciuto di Monaco. Ci eravamo già stati. Si può mangiare di tutto. Le isole offrono ogni tipo di verdure, zuppe, carni e bevande. Anche piatti tipici e una grande varietà di dolci. Prezzi abbordabili. Qualità media.

A localização é perfeita, no coração da Marienplatz. Excelente para fazer compras. Preços para todos os bolsos. Produtos de qualidade , variedade e atendimento cordial. No ultimo andar um restaurante com boa variedade e com ótimo preço! No subsolo uma excelente padaria, vinhos e etc...
