I felt like I wasn't being taken seriously. I complained about the lack of carbonation in my drink. It wasn't just a little carbonation. It wasn't there at all.

Too expensive Karstadt was cheaper

Perfectly fine for a department store restaurant. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. You won't find schnitzel and fries for €12 anywhere in 2025. Very friendly staff, everything clean. What more could you want?

A quick coffee, a burger or even a meal, good even if it's quite greasy. Great view of the city.

Extremely expensive, more expensive than a proper restaurant. Bread and ketchup are extra. Food is lukewarm. Disastrous...

On the morning of August 5th, I visited this café for the first time. I was greeted by a very nice, friendly girl. She explained everything to me. The breakfast itself was very fresh and delicious. The view from the window is beautiful. It was a wonderful start to the day!

Sorry, but the breakfast buffet is similar in standard to a bad factory canteen. A meager selection, poor quality, poor presentation, disorganized, an unfriendly woman at the cash register, an unacceptable price/performance ratio, and a miserable atmosphere. These are the attributes of this negative breakfast experience at the Karstadt restaurant in Lörrach. Once and never again. The sad buffet, with sausage, cheese, and the cheapest baked goods, was only surpassed by the unfriendly, bad-tempered, and snippy service at the cash register. The breakfast experience included a wristband in a harsh, barracks-like tone with the note: coffee only one cup, and each additional cup must be paid for separately. Next to the hot dishes – scrambled eggs, bacon, Nuremberg sausages – was a sign reading "Lunch Buffet." There was no mention of the fact that the scrambled eggs and bacon were also available for breakfast. An employee we questioned, who spoke broken German, told us: "No, not breakfast." After eating the spartan breakfast à la a one-star hotel in the backyard, we learned that we could also have a hot buffet, BUT without soup. We searched in vain for written explanations and additional information. At least we found out by chance, because the unfriendly lady at the cash register made a revealing comment about it (in retrospect). I have no idea who manages this cafeteria, but we're sure it won't work out that way. We can skip the trip to Lörrach for the Karstadt buffet, including parking fees, in the future. That wasn't a positive experience, quite the opposite. The low number of visitors that morning (a public holiday, around 10:00 a.m. on May 31, 2024) no longer surprises me. Incidentally, the subsequent shopping experience on the Karstadt floors wasn't something you'd want to repeat as often as you like. There, too, grumpy employees and an unattractive, unspectacular, and selective selection at high prices, and consequently few customers. If things continue like this, I predict that Karstadt Lörrach will be on the red list next time. This won't work in the long run. There's still time. Perhaps someone from management should have breakfast in the store on the fifth floor, more or less incognito. What a shame, really.

Unfortunately, the schnitzel and potatoes didn't taste particularly good. I would have expected more for the price. Ketchup and mayo had to be purchased separately.

The Galeria Restaurant in Lörrach has been beautifully renovated, I really like the design. The prices have increased, but the quality is still great.

I was just surprised after having a hungry look on fresh vegetables and salad buffet. Really reasonable price as compare to other locals near by. You must vist it when you are in Lörrach.

Delicious lunch at a fair price. Very quick service. Good vegetarian options available.

The waitress talks too much and doesn't get to the point. Some of the sausage and cheese already have edges. Somewhat dismally arranged and presented. Simply too expensive for this quality.

Very nice place in Lorrach. Calm atmosphere, warm welcome.
