Whatever happened to fries? Tried the burger for the first time today. You should mention that it only contains traces of meat. There were maybe 50 grams of meat, which were fried to a crispy crisp. It tasted good, but really outrageous for the price. The fries aren't nearly as good as they used to be. What a shame.

The spot in Siegen for fries, but unfortunately, not good value (anymore). The current price trends are noticeable everywhere, but unfortunately, they've hit particularly hard here. Don't get me wrong, the fries are always great, but what you currently have to pay and the portion you get just don't match up anymore. I find it particularly unfortunate that in one particular case, they simply don't sell you what you're hoping for when you read about it. In this case, I'm talking about the poutine fries. It might have something to do with the fact that nobody here knows what poutine is, and therefore people have no idea what the dish should actually be like. Here, you can unfortunately see that they're trying to make a fortune just by offering it. What's sold here as poutine no longer has much in common with the original from Canada. For people like me, who have already eaten it several times in Canada and America and then order it here with great anticipation, you'll unfortunately be massively disappointed. For that price, a little bit of gravy and what are probably the smallest cheese curds on the planet is cheeky. I'd even be willing to pay another €2 to at least get something close to the original. Unfortunately, that's not possible, perhaps because the price would put too many people off. It just makes me sad that the name is used here, but the product no longer has much to do with it. Of course, I also admit that this is a problem for people like me who know the real dish and whose plate is wider than Germany. For those who eat it there for the first time, they think that's how it is and that's how it has to be. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Furthermore, I find the "aggressive" way in which they try to get customers to tip a bit cheeky. After going to the counter, ordering, answering the pager, sitting down, then getting up, getting your own food, and taking your own drink from the fridge and opening it, I, as a customer, ask myself what I'm supposed to tip for at the end? A nasty trend from America that's now fully established itself here as well. It's just a shame that in Germany, unlike in America, people here receive a fixed salary and tips aren't their only source of income. What service am I supposed to pay for at the end? That someone on the payroll made the food and the person behind the counter bills me? Guys, that's just not right. And when you're then pressured to tip when paying at the cash register by someone shouting loudly across the entire store: "Yes, press the button now, depending on how much tip you want to give," I think it's fair to say that this puts pressure on you in front of the entire team. Also, the button for not tipping is so small that you initially wonder if you even have a choice.

Today was my first time there. The dishes look great. The topping was amazing! But why do I get fries that are so discolored with grease? They were so hard that I couldn't even pierce some of them. Well, I'm actually quite annoyed. Prices everywhere are so high these days that you can't afford to eat out often – at least as far as I'm concerned. Surely the fries should at least be perfect. Especially if your name is "Frittenglück" (French Fries). I assume I was just unlucky, but something like that shouldn't happen. How can I recommend the place? Why should I come back? Presumably cold fries reheated in the deep fryer... I don't have to spend money on that. I'm disappointed and very annoyed. I rarely, if ever, write reviews, but this really annoyed me today for a variety of reasons. Two stars – just because of the topping.

No comparison to the Fritzenglück from before: The fries were made from regional potatoes, delicious with the skin on. There were also sweet potato fries - Today it seems as if the normal factory fries are being used - although these are still the "good" potatoes, unfortunately you no longer notice it. I've been going there for years and sometimes eaten the fries plain, they were so delicious, so unique. Maybe Corona-related savings or something similar, but now I feel like I'm in a random French fries franchise restaurant - that hurts even more because the guys at the Christmas market (first stand) had a great vision back then. The portions are significantly smaller and the cardboard bowls are only about half full (it used to be different). There used to be flyers in the store that explained the origin of the potatoes/meat... these are no longer available. Are the ingredients still from the local area? In the past you had really cute character names on the receipt, so you would be called "Snow White" or "Pinocchio" when the order was ready. Don't get me wrong - the quality of the food is still good, but all in all the place has become a bit more clinical and characterless. I also don't know whether the price (as before) is justified by the high quality or regional/homemade part of the ingredients. Don't get me wrong - it's delicious! But I miss these special fries very much, in which you can already “taste” the difference. The rating would have been significantly higher if the store had retained its old character. Maybe that's what you have to do to survive Corona; Maybe you had to switch to other ingredients so you could survive - this used to be my food spot in Siegen. But maybe that's just the harsh reality of gastronomy x0

Fries delivered that were completely mushy and inedible. Around 20 euros for the garbage. Now I read the answer here that I should get in touch. I did all of this endlessly - before I wrote the review. Result of my very friendly efforts back then: zero, zero interest.

The fries were good and the service was good too and what I liked best was that you can order on a screen and therefore don't have so much interaction with other people.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined significantly. The fries are only mediocre standard and the cheeseburger looks and tastes similar to the Scottish burger. The prices are far too expensive for that. It's a shame, the quality used to be at least 10x better.

I had a great experience at Fritten Gluck in Siegen! The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of options, and the best part is their amazing hamburgers! The fries and their delicious sauces are also impressive. The service is quick, and the staff is very very friendly. If you’re in Siegen and craving a tasty burger or snack, I highly recommend it. It’s a place where you can enjoy both delicious food and a relaxing environment.

The employee was super friendly, the food was freshly prepared, tasty and hot, it's not necessarily the healthiest food but that's not the point. The restaurant itself doesn't have any toilets, which is a shame, the atmosphere is now designed for a quick snack, I would rule out dinner for two now. Parking spaces are very rare in the surrounding area. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to come by again

I gave it 5 stars a year ago, but unfortunately it's no longer my luck. The quality of the fries has deteriorated a lot, no more shell, completely different taste, just 0815 😥. Such a shame!!! It certainly won't be long before the rest of it is adapted to the City Galerie's audience.

Best fast food restaurant in Siegen. Lots of vegan options. I love the vegan currywurst fries mayo! The staff is always very friendly and personable. Update November 2024: And more and more vegan options are being added. For example, as I understand it, you only use vegan mayo. Big praise for the bonus card for vegetarian and vegan dishes. Keep it up! Update again: There is a star deduction because Coca Cola drinks are now being offered. There are certainly business reasons behind it, but that doesn't really fit the picture. In addition, the previous selection of drinks was much more varied and there were tastier things. From now on I won't drink anything there anymore. 👎🏻

We ordered the famous vegan fries, the taste was pretty good, much better than we expected. The staff was also very cooperative but one thing which I did not like was the tip option which you get even if you buy a bottle of water , it was kind of annoying because you are forced to tip . Talking about the ambience, the ambience was cute but limited seating during winter.

I always enjoyed eating here. However, I have noticed some problems over time. On the one hand, I find it relatively unclean. I don't know why you can't just wipe the tables after guests get up from the tables? My biggest problem, however, is that I ordered a vegetarian sausage but was given a "real" sausage and only noticed this after the first bite. This may not be a big deal for many people, but if you've been vegetarian for 30 years, I find it very uncool. When I brought the sausage back they shrugged their shoulders, mumbled a quiet sorry and I got a “new” veggie sausage. As I said, it's certainly not a big deal for many people, but I would have found a free refund appropriate. I think the combination of both things in conjunction with the prices, which aren't that low, will make me stop going there. It's a shame.

The food is really recommended. It's worth taking a look at the menu. It's just a shame that there is no toilet to wash your fingers after eating.

Been there a few times now and eaten different things. Burgers, fries, currywurst and fries with topping. Everything was great in my opinion and the kids also enjoyed it. For me it's a safe bet for a good portion of fries, not to be compared with the usual suspects in the fast food corner.

Geschmacklich haben wir nichts zu bemängeln, es gibt eine große Auswahl, interessante Zusammenstellungen und auch viele vegan-vegetarische Optionen. Aaaaber: die Preise. Als Familie für 3x Fritten (1x mit Mayo, 2x spezieller getoppt, jedoch nicht mit Fleisch oder Ersatz), 2 Softdrinks und 1x Wasser über 30,- bezahlen zu müssen ist schon echt der Hammer. Am Ende wird man bei Kartenzahlung auch noch von der Maschine genötigt Trinkgeld zu geben (in einem Self-Service-Imbiss).

Were there for the first time. What a great experience. A great concept for turning boring fries into a great meal. I had pulled pork fries. Was great. I also had a burger. But I wouldn't have needed that. I was more than full after the fries and the citizen wasn't my thing. The blonde young cashier was an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Super friendly, courteous, thoughtful and committed. We'll come back and try other fries creations next time. I wish you great success and all the best.

You used to be able to eat nice burgers there. The burgers are now overpriced and look worse than the burgers from the big chain restaurants. Just clapped together carelessly. You also no longer get any cutlery, which is not necessary given the size of the burger. Not to mention a proper plate. The burger tasted ok, but visually it was a disaster. The store promotes sustainability but you only get disposable cutlery. The burgers are wrapped in paper. Why, when you eat locally. Absolutely not recommended and definitely my last visit.

We have often eaten or ordered from Frittenglück in Siegen. The fries are perfect. We ate a cheeseburger there over a year ago, but unfortunately we weren't impressed with it. The Smashburger Lt has been there for not too long. This burger is truly world class! One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The price is high for the fact that it's not particularly big, but this burger is worth every single cent.

I had a burger that didn't look anything like the one in the picture and it didn't taste good at all. I paid 9.95 and it looked like a 2 euro burger from McDonalds, nothing more.

The rating primarily refers to the poor price/performance ratio of the fries to go. EUR 4.20 for a portion including mayo that is ideally suitable for children is definitely not appropriate. The fact that processing takes place strictly after orders are received also leads to unnecessary waiting times: instead of prioritizing other orders such as my simple portion of fries, 3 employees stand around and wait for the 4th to finish his work step so that they can continue processing the order. In summary: Delicious fries, portion too small considering the price and waiting time too long.

Fries are awesome :) super crunchy and fresh! Had Holland Special and thought it was really delicious!! Service is also great and the atmosphere is very cozy. All in all, it's really a good thing. Would come back at any time :) I also really like how much emphasis is placed on sustainability (regional ingredients in organic quality).

Food was very tasty, we hardly had to wait. It's not a big restaurant, which is nice in itself, but everyone who wants to order at the checkout walks past you.

Alles gut wie immer. Erstmals mit Karte bezahlt. Bevor der Betrag freigegeben wird, muss ich mich für ein Trinkgeld entscheiden. Kein Trinkgeld steht ganz unten, auf den ersten Blick sehr versteckt. Ich gebe gerne Trinkgeld, aber diesen psychologischen Zwang finde ich mehr als mies. Vor allem, weil ich den genauen Betrag nicht sehe sondern schnell im Kopf rechnen muss. Sehr ärgerlich, die nächste Zeit werde ich wahrscheinlich nicht mehr vorbeikommen. Und wenn, dann gibt es aus Prinzip kein Trinkgeld mehr.

Die Abbildungen auf der Anzeige/ Speisekarte stimmen nicht mehr mit den verkauften Gerichten überein.! An den Pommes und der Wurst wurde stark gekürzt . Bei den höheren Preisen stimmt nun das Preis/ Leistung Verhältnis nicht mehr! Die Pommes wurden mit Rückständen an der Schale frittierte. Die Currysauce hat sehr fruchtig und lecker geschmeckt. Das Frittenglück ist keinen weiteren Besuch mehr Wert. Das war heute der letzte Besuch dort!

Konzept eigentlich ganz gut doch wenn man sich Frittenglück nennt sollte man auch schmackhafte Pommes anbieten, doch leider schmecken die Fritten fast nach garnichts, sind schon knusprig aber das war es auch schon. Wie sie gewürzt werden lassen wir mal beiseite. Für mich haben die Fritten null Geschmack und auch die Toppings machen es nicht besser. Ich war jetzt des zweite mal dort und heute hatte ich einmal Glückspilz und Holland Special. Also bei Glückspilz ist es auf den Bilder in der Speisekarte mit frische Champignons dargestellt, bekommen tut man Dosenpilze dennoch war die Soße einigermaßen gut. Beim Holland Special muss ich sagen kann man eigentlich nicht viel falsch machen Majo, Currysoße und Zwiebeln. Doch die Currysoße schmeckte wie Tomatenmark mit Curry und die Majo war auch nicht die beste wahrscheinlich selbst gemachte weiss es aber nicht genau. Bin ein zweites Mal enttäuscht worden und werde dort nicht mehr essen. Aber es scheint vielen dort zu schmecken da der Laden recht voll war. Naja Geschmackssache aber nicht meins

Sehr gutes Essen bei ruhigem Ambiente und einer wirklich freundlichen Bedienung. Ich habe bei der Bestellung am Display nicht aufgepasst und komplett andersrum bestellt als ich es eigentlich haben wollte, was mir erst nach ein paar Bissen aufgefallen ist. Die Bedienung hat ohne eine Sekunde zu zögern die Bestellung angepasst und die fehlenden Bestandteile hinzugefügt, mit der einzigen Sorge, dass es jetzt nicht mehr so gut hergerichtet aussehen würde (es sah vorher und nachher super aus!). Wir werden auf jeden Fall bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Siegen wieder vorbeikommen.

Sind vom Geschmack immer begeistert, heute haben wir liefern lassen und waren vom Lieferanten entsetzt. Mussten etwas über 46€ zahlen / 50€ angegeben und der junge Mann wollte den Rest als Trinkgeld haben ohne zu warten ob wir Wechselgeld zurück haben wollten. Er tat dann so, als ob er meinen Mann nicht versteht und er hätte kein Wechselgeld dabei. Eine Frechheit, da hat er es halt passend bekommen. So ein Problem hatten wir bei euch noch nie

Habe jetzt das erste mal dort gegessen und fand es sehr sehr lecker. Es gibt zwar nicht sooo viele Sitzplätze aber für die Größe kann man dort gemütlich sitzen und es war echt angenehm. Jederzeit wieder 🙂

Sehr leckere Pommes-Kreationen. Ein Punktabzug für Service und Ambiente, weil es halt ein Schnellimbiss mit Selbstbestellung ist. Aber sehr freundlich und sehr schmackhaft. Beim Preis wird der ein oder andere schlucken, aber man macht es ja nicht jeden Tag.

Perfekte Fritten und leckere Saucen - eine sehr gute Kombination. Was aber hier das Highlight ist? Die Burger! Nicht immer auf der Speisekarte, aber wenn.... dann den bitte Bestellen. Richtig lecker und perfekt belegt, etc. Geschmacklich umwerfend!

Wir sind mit 12 Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus verschiedenen Nationen dort gegessen. Jedes bestellte Essen war hervorragend,die Bedienung oder besser der Service war spitze und es immer ein freundliches Lächeln zu sehen und ich denke wir waren nicht die einfachsten Kunden. Zudem kamen wir erst ca. 20 Minuten vor dem Schließen aber auch das konnte das freundliche lächeln nicht vertreiben. Danke

Everyone I interacted with was very nice and friendly. pretty expensive side for a double burger, fries and a drink, but I would still happily go back when the craving comes
