Went to the restaurant yesterday for the opening (under new management). The new boss, well known as Milly, implemented her new concept very well. The food was once again very good, including the fresh oysters. Kudos to you The whole team

Ambience great! (Industrial, concrete look, individual furniture...) The food was very tasty with weekly changing special dishes depending on the season. Service is always extremely friendly, sometimes a bit slow. Prices and food selection could be a little more in line with the “country” level in some places....

We celebrated our wedding in this beautiful restaurant on August 17th, 2024. We are really excited about how much effort the team put into this day. All agreements were adhered to exactly. A special menu was created for us. All wishes were taken into account. The staff has always been courteous and very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing and, as always, delicious. Our guests were thrilled. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to celebrate wonderfully outside on the terrace. The table inside for dinner was beautifully set, exactly as we wanted. Everything was taken into account. We were welcomed by a wonderful golden plaque with the inscription for our wedding. We absolutely made the perfect choice with you and would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again! Daniela & Markus

Excellent steak , potatoes and salad in combination with a nice local beer . You wouldn’t want anything else. Very friendly staff as well . Definitely will come back ! Save travels

The restaurant clearly stands out from the other restaurants in the area in terms of offerings and price range. Unfortunately, the quality and quantity of the food served do not live up to the expectations raised. Update: Hello, thanks for the reaction. We didn't like: - The straw pork neck steak was only lukewarm when it arrived on the wooden board. It was also very small. - We thought the bowl of boiled potatoes with a little rosemary for €5 was overpriced. - The mushroom risotto wasn't actually a risotto but a grainy wild rice/long grain rice pan with some chanterelles and 7 - 8 peas. A risotto is - at least that's how we saw it so far - prepared with special risotto rice which gives the dish a creamy texture (together with the broth, butter, if necessary wine/parmesan).

Nice service, excellent food, pleasant environment, simply everything that a proper pub should have.

Avoid this location!!! We stopped here on the way from Nuremberg. Among other things, we ordered the straw pork steak twice, each cooked medium rare. Both portions were served completely. So complained and asked for something new. What came next was a complete impudence!!! One portion was so-so, the other portion was full of lichen and absolutely not edible. Something like that should never have left the kitchen. So complained again. However, the appetite was then gone. The next surprise comes with the bill!! Any other decent restaurant would have apologized and taken the item off the bill. Not so at Restaurant Friedrich. The service was unreasonable and extremely unfriendly. After a long discussion we paid for the uneaten dish. But once and never again.

We were in Vohenstrauß over the weekend. A really nice and great restaurant. The employees and the boss are incredibly friendly. The drinks and food are very good. The grilled saddle of venison was amazing. Very tender and perfectly prepared. You feel very comfortable there and the boss also takes the time for a quick chat. If we are in the area again we will be happy to come back there.

The most beautiful place. We drove past and discovered this wonderful restaurant. You can immediately feel the great attention to detail in the decoration and the food. We were pleasantly surprised. It feels like you are at home with close friends where everything is very warm and sincere.

Due to the location, we stopped by the restaurant while passing through because of the predominantly positive reviews. Basically, you can't go wrong here. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is nice and very clean. You can make a recommendation and have a good stop. You can see how the food is being prepared because the kitchen is open and you can see that it is freshly prepared. The only downside, which was probably due to the abundance of guests, was that the burgers were more cooked despite being ordered medium and the fries were only warm instead of hot. This was because we had observed that some of our food had been sitting at the counter for minutes and had been “forgotten” in the hustle and bustle. When we informed the service about this, they were brought to our table as quickly as possible and another portion of fries that had been forgotten were freshly prepared. Of course, if you are very sensitive, you could have received a fresh portion with less of the patty or portions of fries that were no longer quite hot, but we didn't see the need. It was still very tasty. So just little things that need to be tweaked, overall a great restaurant 👍

We were just passing through and found a restaurant not far away. d. Looking for the A6 motorway. And found!!!! Super nice, great service, great food! And if we're not mistaken, absolutely barrier-free. Extremely recommended. And if it works, we will of course come back. Unfortunately we live too far away for spontaneous visits. But you have what it takes to become a local pub. Many thanks to the entire team.

I was lucky enough to be able to celebrate my 40th birthday at Friedrich with more than 50 guests. We were all thrilled by the very pleasant, stylish atmosphere. All of my guests were extremely satisfied. We were able to enjoy a very tasty 3-course meal. Everything made from local, regional ingredients (even the shrimp came from the area) All in all very very good. I've eaten a lot all over the world, but I would never have expected such a delicious menu at home. A big compliment to the kitchen. And the service, although pleasantly reserved, was always more than good for all guests and we didn't lack anything. Everyone felt wonderfully cared for. We were your guests shortly after the opening and have only now rediscovered you. It's hard to believe that we haven't been your guests for so long. All of my guests were more than convinced by your offer, regardless of whether it was the atmosphere (wonderful), the food (very, very good) or the service (your employees are outstanding, you can be very proud of them). You have not only gained extremely satisfied guests, but also friends of Friedrich. We are all looking forward to being your guests again soon. A wonderful restaurant that you wouldn't expect in a small town in Upper Palatinate! The food, whose ingredients fortunately come almost exclusively from local producers (I'm not sure about the lobster...), is excellent. A steak that deserves the name because this excellent meat product was then grilled to perfection. Where it says medium rare it should also say medium rare. This is rarely the case otherwise... Interesting and very tasty side dishes and starters, as well as desserts, round off the menu. Attentive service that is second to none and makes you feel completely comfortable. The ambience with the high ceilings also creates a flair that you don't always find. The only disadvantage is that the friedrich is unfortunately in the wrong city. But on the other hand, you would probably have to reserve a table weeks in advance. So it remains an insider tip for people who still value an unusual restaurant visit. And at the end there is Veit.... :-)))

Beautiful location, food was good, service was very accommodating, but unfortunately we only noticed when we got home that it wasn't the rump steak I ordered but the beef fillet that was on the bill, which corresponds to a difference of €10. It's a shame otherwise it was a nice evening.

Tolles Ambiente mit offener Küche und ein sehr guter Service. Die Speisen und Getränke sind eine Empfehlung wert!

Leider gebt es nur fünf Sterne offiziell. Bei uns sind es mindestens sechs. Erstklassiger Service ( Super freundlich und aufmerksam) Essen klasse, Steak wie bestellt, selten so auf den Punkt gebracht ( Küche ist auch mit Leidenschaft dabei, man kann es beobachten). Einrichtung von damals, aber alles stimmig und super bequem ( man muss nicht immer das neuste haben und unbequem) Leider ist das Lokal zu weit entfern (ca 480 km), sonst wären wir öfter da. Bitte weiter so. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Tolle Location, supernette Mannschaft und echt leckeres Essen. Haben wir eher durch Zufall entdeckt, aber wir kommen gerne immer wieder hier her.

Chices Restaurant mit offener Küche und ansprechender Auswahl an Speisen. Das Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen lecker! Ja, es ist nicht billig, dafür von hoher Qualität. Meiner Meinung nach stimmt dennoch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Eine wirklich sehr gemütliche, familiäre angenehme Location. Man fühlt sich einfach sehr gut aufgehoben und verstanden. Das Essen einfach eine Geschmacksexplosion. Auch was die Beratung im Thema Fleisch von Herkunft und Zubereitung wirklich mit keiner anderen Gastronomie zu vergleichen. Also Wissen ist hier aufjedenfall vorhanden auch was das Thema Whiskey etc. Angeht. Thema Service: Besser geht es nicht! Zeitnah, Aufmerksam und die ganze Zeit über äußerst freundlich. (Auch untereinander spürbar gewesen) Macht weiter so, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! ☺️

Ein gemütlicher Ort um Essen von guter Qualität zu bekommen, der Service ist Top, die Leute die dort Arbeiten sind äußerst freundlich, und gut ausgebildet. Wir waren am 2. April da und hatten uns für Burger entschieden. Sie waren wie gewünscht zubereitet, sehr beeindruckt hat uns die junge Frau die uns bedient hat, normal geb ich nicht so viel Trinkgeld, aber sie sticht hervor. Überaus freundlich, sehr gut gelaunt, immer am kucken ob alles passt oder was gebraucht wird, aber nicht aufdringlich, vielen herzlichen Dank, das du uns bedient hast. Zum Schluss hatten wir noch einen Mojito, Mario, deine Mojitos sind wirklich top. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Immer wieder gerne komme ich in dieses genussvolle Wohlfühlambiente zurück. Man wird sehr herzlich empfangen & von einem super Team umsorgt. Die Burger sind ein Traum & auch das Panna cotta mit Waldbeeren zergeht mir auf der Zunge. Manchmal genieße ich aber auch etwas aus dem Meer oder See im Friedrich, auch sehr zu empfehlen!

Veganer Burger war ok. Im Vergleich zu den Veggie Burgern von Hans im Glück ist noch Luft nach oben

Ich wohne und arbeite seit zwei Jahren in der Gastronomie in Berlin. Dieses Lokal übertrifft wirklich deutlich den Service- und Qualitätsstandard von jedem Lokal in dem ich in der Hauptstadt bisher das Vergnügen hatte. Großen Applaus an die Servicekräfte und die Küche! Wer dieses Lokal nicht besucht hat etwas verpasst!

Wir waren heute (Samstagabend) in großer Gruppe zum Essen hier. Obwohl es voll war mussten wir nicht all zu lange auf die erste Runde der Getränke warten. Essen hat zwar etwas länger gedauert - aber das war es absolut wert. Egal ob Salat, Steak oder Burger (ich hatte Pulled Pork), es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Alles frisch zubereitet und aus der Region. Die Nachspeisenplatte hat leider nicht bis zum Foto warten können 🤭 Das friedrich hat ein tolles Ambiente und der Service von Sandra war top. Wir kommen wieder!
