Super nice location in the middle of the green. Great outdoor areas for children, very good service and delicious food

We stayed there for 1 night on our bike tour. The rooms were a bit "carelessly" furnished. The bed was too short because the footboard wasn't open. The shower entrance was very narrow, even for me; people with a slightly larger waist circumference would never have been able to get through the sliding doors. NO glass in the bathroom or room for brushing your teeth, everything was very noisy due to the wooden floor, you could hear every guest in the hallway. Everything was a bit old. Positive: The room was at least clean for the price, the garden area was very nice.

This restaurant is beautifully located directly on the Ruhr with the pier of the white fleet in Mülheim and is also very easy to reach by bus. The terrace has a beautiful view of the Ruhr and in front of it there is a meadow with deckchairs that invites you to linger. Part of the terrace is like a winter garden. There is a very attractive ambience inside. There were 6 of us when we came here and everyone was very happy with the food. In terms of taste and value for money, we were served very attentively by the staff. All in all, a great day at Franky's. We will certainly come back. Recommended.

A very nice meeting place for many opportunities to relax and unwind, whether short or long, a visit is definitely worth it

Had a drink outside. Very beautiful and large meadow down to the Ruhr with lots of deck chairs. Good selection of drinks with draft beer. Swivel grill for self-collection. Spacious grounds, so that even a company event at the same time didn't bother us. Jetty for White Fleet currently out of service.

We celebrated the wedding of my son and my (now) daughter-in-law...amazing. Such a great location and great food. The service left nothing to be desired. Fantastic wedding, I can only recommend it!!!!

On June 22nd We celebrated our church wedding (gallows festival) here after celebrating the civil wedding last year in a small group and coming over regularly for dinner. We knew that you were the best and that we could rely on you. But what you performed was absolute madness!!! We would like to thank the entire Franky's team for the sensational implementation of the celebration. The food, drinks, service and ambience were unique and every guest felt extremely comfortable and well looked after. You were very attentive and not too intrusive. A special thank you to Yannick and Maggie - you rocked and planned and implemented the celebration better than we could have imagined in advance. The entire team worked very well together, you can be proud of that! Thank you Yannick for taking over the management - we feel honored! The day was perfect for us and we hope that you also had a nice evening and that we weren't too complicated. We will see each other regularly and when celebrations come up, you are definitely our place to go! Thank you very much again, keep it up and see you soon!!

Took a break there yesterday, beautifully located on the Ruhr. Large area with loungers, restaurant, with or without service depending on the situation, dogs allowed.

Were here for a wedding reception

I was invited to a wedding that was celebrated there (closed society). The food, drinks and service were really good. There were enough staff who were always friendly and helpful. The design of the room, the decoration and the winter garden were also great. Finally, the advice in advance was also great, other service providers were referred and special requests were addressed. I would always recommend the location for large, special celebrations.

Three weeks ago I celebrated my wedding at Broich Castle, which Franky's Restaurant recommended to me. I have no words to describe how perfect everything was, I wouldn't change a single detail. Without a doubt the best investment. Since our first experience with Katharina (who was a great professional) she offered us very flexible, interesting and comfortable options for our wedding. With a little information we gave her, she took care of even the smallest detail of the decoration. Since it was a bilingual wedding (Spanish - German), she had the detail to create the menu in two languages. The food at the buffet was spectacular: Points of 5 = Taste: 5, Presentation: 5, Service: 5. Here are some pictures. Finally, I would like to congratulate Tatjana (management coordinator at the wedding) and her team... I can't remember all the names, but Doreen and Leon were there until the end. If you read my comment, I just want to tell you that you were amazing and that you were all unforgettable. Have already been a guest at two weddings here. Both times it was great! The LOCATION is great with a location by the water - especially in summer. There is the option to rent the entire area or just parts of the restaurant. Free weddings on the terrace are possible. The FOOD was without exception very good. The very important midnight snack was of course included. The drinks were good. Sometimes we had to wait a bit at the bar late at night. But it wasn't a problem, because the SERVICE overall was super nice and attentive. Overall, two great weddings where I had the feeling that the operators took good care of their guests and had everything under control. I would love to come back to normal restaurant operations :)

Nice staff, good food, nice location on the Ruhr with a large meadow. Dog friendly. There is a snack distribution (self-service) for hikers/cyclists. There is a large play ship and swings for children.

It was a lovely, fun evening! The service 5 stars plus. The kitchen also 5 stars plus...the salmon with asparagus after the shrimp pan was delicious.

Franky's water station has been the destination of a bike tour several times and it is a great location in the summer with lots of options and great areas for children, but unfortunately the food in the restaurant was not good and therefore too expensive. We were 4 adults and 2 children and there was actually something wrong with every dish. Fries and schnitzel were too salty, mashed potatoes tasted sour and the steaks were well done and not medium as ordered. The bill was €249 and it really wasn't worth it. I can recommend the outdoor area with the sales containers, where you can pick up cakes, drinks, ice cream, currywurst, etc., but unfortunately not the restaurant.

We stopped in for food and drinks after a hike. It was very busy on May 1st and we had to wait a long time. Food was good, unfortunately a little expensive.

Very good food, drinks and service!

A week ago we celebrated a wonderful wedding there with over 80 other guests. Everything was really right. The food was excellent, the layout of the buffet was very good. The entire service staff should also be highlighted. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. It's a shame that we live a little further away, otherwise this would definitely be our favorite restaurant.

The place is great. Great if there are children. Nice playground right next to the beautiful beer garden. Comfortably furnished inside. Barrier-free. Unfortunately we didn't have the right waiter that day. A pity!!!:(

We celebrated our wedding here on April 20th and where should I start: -Mrs. Schettler, our banquet coordinator, was always there to help us with advice and assistance and put together a fantastic decoration at the end -The food was a 10/10 and was praised by our guests throughout the evening -We always knew in the evening who the waiter in charge was and with whom we were making arrangements when the cake should arrive, etc. The times were also spontaneously flexible, all the waiters were so friendly and had fabulous drinks for a total of 83 guests until late into the night conjured - the hotel and the staff there were wonderful, the room was well suited for a getting ready shoot. Overall, many of our guests stayed there and Mr. Sonnen & Mr. Makonese always looked after us well, flexible check in & check out and the breakfast was very good Overall, it was a wonderful day that was only possible thanks to the wonderful Franky's team! We thank you very much!

Visit to the restaurant. Nicely located. Good food, good service. Great layout, a bit noisy inside, good terrace. Opportunities to use a picnic area on the Ruhr. Also suitable for children. Recommended.

Super delicious food and totally friendly and attentive staff who still had time to joke even on a very busy Easter Sunday evening. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Dogs are also very welcome!

We visited the restaurant and were thrilled. The food was worth every penny and the service was as you would expect. Polite, courteous and quick. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. That wasn't our last visit there.

Small hotel with a very good restaurant. The location on the Ruhr makes it perfect for walks or hikes. Hotel approved for dogs and: you also look after your four-legged friend. The windows are very well insulated, you can't hear the Ruhrtalbrücke/A52 at all.

A great location right on the Ruhr. Nice ambience, delicious food and courteous staff. Ideal for celebrations and small parties. The tables were lovingly decorated, appropriate menus were prepared and parking spaces were reserved for the guests. All around a good tip!

The restaurant is rated, not the hotel! Great location directly on the Ruhr with large outdoor areas and plenty of free parking spaces. In summer there is outdoor dining in snack or food truck style as well as the restaurant's outdoor seating. I come here several times a year, sometimes with family, sometimes with friends. Today we tried the venison bratwurst and the venison burger. Absolutely amazing and super tasty! As always, the service was quick and friendly and the prices are appropriate for the service. A great restaurant, a great place! Top rating!!

First visit here but definitely not the last. Across the board, the food tasted good and the service was friendly. You sit comfortably and get a seat even without a reservation. The schnitzel in panko breading is particularly recommended!

Good restaurant with a large beer garden in a beautiful location in Mülheim Mintard. The dishes are delicious. The service is top. In summer you can sit outside well. There is a fixed menu and a seasonally changing menu. The selection is diverse. I always enjoy coming here. Also recommended as an event location. We celebrated a 40th birthday here and were very satisfied.

Spontan sind wir in Franky's Wasserbahnhof gelandet. Obwohl sehr viel Trubel wegen 2 Hochzeitsgesellschaften herrschte wurden viel freundlich bedient. Die gewählten Gerichte waren sehr liebevoll dekoriert und lecker zubereitet. Man hatte jede Menge zu gucken und konnte das große Gelände auch mit Würstchen o.ä. vom Grill, samt Bierchen nutzen, wenn man wollte. Uns hat es gut gefallen!👍

Einfach nur schön. Waren zu einer kleinen Hochzeit dort essen. Der Tisch war sehr schön dekoriert, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und das Essen war auch sehr gut. Kommen bestimmt mal wieder.

Die Bewertung geht an das Lokal. Wir hatten dort eine Weihnachtsfeier. Das Essen war dort sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell.

Waren im Restaurant und sind begeistert von der tollen Mischung aus traditioneller Ruhrgebietsküche und den neuen jungen Impulsen. Supergut.

Wasserbahnhof heißt im Klartext: Dampferanlegestelle im ländlichen Raum. Dazu ein Ausflugslokal mit Pensionsbetrieb. Man kann dort gut essen und trinken, hat eine freundliche Bedienung.

Sorry, aber zum quatschen auf'm Jahrgangstreffen nach 47 Jahren war's viel zu laut und die 5 Tische schlecht aufgeteilt (ca 45 Personen). Und €5,60 für n großes alk.freies Weizen ist happig :0) . Gegessen hab ich nix, sprach mich bei den Preisen auch nicht wirklich an. Die Mitarbeiter waren fix und nett !

"Update" Nach unserem ersten Besuch, hat sich Frankys Wasserbahnhof mit uns in Kontakt gesetzt, was sehr löblich war. Wir sind noch einmal zu Besuch gewesen, es war das komplette Gegenteil zum ersten Besuch. Der Service war top, Essen war sehr lecker und wir haben uns in dem Ambiente sehr wohlgefühlt. Gerne kommen wir nach dem Besuch wieder. Wir danken Frankys Wasserbahnhof für den schönen Abend. Wir sind um 19:30 Uhr angekommen, der Kellner sagt zu uns "Es dauert ca. 30 Minuten bis wir einen Tisch haben & noch mal 30 Minuten bis wir unsere Essen haben". Wir Warten, um 20:20 Uhr fragen wir, ob wir langsam einen Tisch besetzen könnten. Kellner "unsere Küche hat nur bis 20 Uhr auf, es tut mir leid". Danke für 50 Minuten warten!!!

Das Restaurant / Hotel hat eine Top Lage direkt an der Ruhr sogar mit einem Schiffsanleger der Weißen Flotte. Die ganze Lokation ist top, angefangen vom sehr schönen Restaurant mit Biergarten mit einer excelenten Küche, sehr kompetentes und gut gelauntes Personal, bis zum gut geführten Hotel in dieser schönen Umgebung. Für Tagesausflüge mit dem Fahrrad, Schiff oder auch länger sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben in dem Wasserbahnhof vor einer Woche unsere freie Trauung durchgeführt und anschließend groß gefeiert. Wir sind komplett begeistert von der tollen Betreuung während der Planungsphase und von der finalen Umsetzung! Alles sah wunderschön aus, der Service war hervorragend und wurde, ebenso wie das Essen, von all unseren Gästen in höchsten Tönen gelobt! Wir würde sofort unsere Hochzeit dort noch einmal feiern wollen und können diese Location wärmstens empfehlen!

Top Lage, Anleger Weiße Flotte direkt an der Ruhr. Schloss Landsberg in der Nähe (verwunschen im Wald, Ausflugstipp). Toller Biergarten, schönes Piratenschiff (Kinderspielplatz), gut für Familienfeiern.

Ein sehr schönes fleckchen Erde. Beides ist möglich, Essen im Restaurantbereich oder mitten auf der Wiese chillig im Liegestuhl ein Bierchen/ Limo trinken.

Ja was soll man sagen, typische Gastronomie an der Ruhr, aber nicht so schlecht wie die anderen. Es gibt einen schönen Spielplatz für die Kinder und gute Ansätze von Professionalität.

Sehr lecker, schöne Location und nettes Personal

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, gutes Essen mit großen Portionen. Da wird "Mann" in der Regel auch satt. Die Bratkartoffeln sind sehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt auch einen halboffenen Wintergarten mit Blick auf die Ruhr. Draußen findet man auch Deckchairs zum fletzen und einen schönen Kinderspielplatz mit Spielschiff und was man sonst so braucht. Egal ob mit Familie oder Stammtisch ist der Laden einen Besuch wert!

Hier stimmt alles...leckere Küche, super-freundlicher Service und die Lage an der Ruhr einfach ein Traum:-)
