Fränkische Weinstube in Würzburg

Poor quality for high prices. They use a lot of pre-made ingredients. The main courses are small, roughly the quality of something you'd find at a hardware store, and yet still cost around €25-30. On top of that, the spaghetti with tomato sauce from the children's menu was cooked spicy. The staff tried to salvage the bad experience, but they barely succeeded. We wanted to treat ourselves to a Bavarian meal and were deeply disappointed. If you just want a drink, go ahead. Just stay away from the menu. (Although I have to speculate that this might be their strategy.)

As we entered the restaurant, we were met with a strange, unpleasant smell, likely from cleaning products. The waiter was very friendly and attentive – excellent! 👍 However, the food itself looked and tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. We would not recommend this restaurant.

A lovely wine bar with rustic decor, the back room is brighter and more modern. For larger groups, seating is slightly more segregated. You can also pre-order a buffet and rent the room.

Sorry, but I've never eaten such poor quality food in any restaurant before (and I'm over 70). They did try to offer us something alternative as compensation, but that's not why I go out to eat.
