I like this place! Idyllically located, rustic and not perfect. I was there for coffee. There is still room for improvement when it comes to cake. But I would still like to come back! 😉

Very very tasty. Great card, moderate prices. The beer garden is cozy. Friendly reception. Nothing to complain about We were just happy about the wonderful meal! Also very good for children with a great playground. Card payment not possible but Paypal!

That was probably nothing! We were there on our bikes today. Actually a great location, with a wonderful beer garden under old trees, a good menu with delicious small and large dishes, something for everyone. But unfortunately the probably changing staff is not at all on their toes! There were at least 4 different waitresses walking around in the front beer garden area who seemed to be deliberately “overlooking” us, as well as other newly arrived guests. At the next table you probably knew a waitress personally, because things were quick there and they were given priority service. Meanwhile, the colleagues cleared various tables and settled accounts with the guests, but none of them had the idea of, for example, taking an order in advance in the same way (clearing the dishes). It would have been efficient too. No, they ran in with the dishes and came out again after a while. In any case, we weren't served; we grabbed the menu ourselves from the neighboring table after a while. Finally, after about 40 minutes of waiting, we left without eating anything. And although it was well attended, it wasn't so full that you could call it stressful. The staff may be friendly and nice, but it is by no means professional. What use is the best chef and the most delicious dishes if the service staff is inattentive and doesn't even know the simplest basic rules? I'm sorry for this review, but without criticism nothing usually changes... Maybe we'll come back again, but this was the second time we've been disappointed here... Get well soon to the innkeepers! Today, almost exactly a year later, we are experiencing exactly the same thing! We wanted to stop after a bike ride. The tables in the beer garden were about half full, so not very busy. We are once again deliberately “overlooked”, just like other guests. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE???? Do you no longer need it? One of the waiters goes to a table, just takes their order, goes back in, and comes out a short time later with only 1 beer!🙈🧐Where did the man learn his job? There are at least three other tables waiting for the waiter. Efficiency is different... Anyway, after waiting for 20 minutes we left. It's sad that so little professionalism is shown at such a beautiful location. There would have been a lot more here... And the fact that nobody seems to read the reviews says a lot!😢

Fast, extremely friendly and very tasty. Cheese spaetzle could use a little more cheese. Still 5 stars in all categories. We will be back!

Nach langem mal wieder im Forsthaus gegessen. Doch leider diesmal sehr enttäuschend. Das Schnitzel war noch annehmbar mit der Champignons Sauce doch Bratkartoffeln im völlig Öl schwimmend ohne Speck und ohne Zwiebeln .Dazu einen wohl nicht selbst gemachten Krautsalat.

First of all: As a professional DJ (DJ Lauschgift) for weddings and company events, I travel all over Germany. So I want to claim that I have developed a good feeling for service, quality and something special. I like the Forsthaus Löhen. All year round, the Tenne is a perfect place to celebrate. In winter you can sit on furs with the fireplace behind you and in summer the outdoor area is also ideal for larger celebrations. As a DJ, I even have the opportunity to set myself up so that I can celebrate either in the threshing floor or outside. If it is too cold outside, it can be changed within 2 minutes so that dancing can continue in the threshing floor. At the Forsthaus Löhen you can party outside until the early hours of the morning. To be honest, I don't know where that's even possible these days. Here the boss is personally at the grill and conjures up a good and varied buffet where even vegetarians get their money's worth. Even though I don't drink alcohol while working, I noticed the many types of Bavarian beer that you can order there. Located in the middle of the forest with a barbecue buffet and lots of Bavarian beers, you feel completely disconnected from everyday life. With sturdy shoes, Löhen can also be easily reached on foot from the city train station. Whether as a DJ or a guest, I always enjoy being there.

Very cozy restaurant. The food was very tasty, but the time it took for the food to arrive was extremely long.

Really chic location in the forest. Great ambience and great service. It was still 3 minutes until closing time and we still got something to drink. Half an hour after work we were asked if we wanted anything else. Ordered again and paid directly. We should leave everything behind when we leave. I would definitely come back again.

Very nice restaurant in the middle of the green. Small and large dishes for everyone. Fair prices and a good stop for bikers as there is free battery charging for guests. We'd love to come back.

Wir haben das Gasthaus bei einer Wanderung durch den Iserlohner Wald als Rast aufgesucht. Wegen des guten Wetters war der Biergarten geöffnet. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns einen freien Platz zugewiesen. Neben Bier zu einem angemessenen Preis hatte man die Wahl zwischen Kuchen oder herzhaften Snacks oder auch Hauptgerichten. Wir hatten ein Schmalzbrot und Bockwürste. Bei der nächsten Wanderung werden wir wiederkommen!

Was there today It was very crowded and we had to wait for a seat Then we ordered. My schnitzel wasn't quite cooked through and not the best. Potato chips very tasty and crispy!! A meal came 10 minutes later after we asked once. Service was actually quite nice, but the tables were often crooked. The menu was manageable, but the dishes sounded quite tasty. My Cola tasted a bit topped up with water. Worth going if you've been hiking or cycling!

Unfortunately no salads or pasta dishes (except cheese spaetzle) on the menu. Pretty heavy food for hot days. Addendum dated 04/28/24 Ordered mustard soup and it came to the table cold. The bread that came with it was old, 2 sausages with potato salad from the package for 9.90 are too expensive. The whole drama was fun to watch. People could only order after a long wait, and the food would then arrive at the tables incomplete. There is no response to criticism here either.

Bring a long wait. After about 30 minutes of waiting, the card came. Waited 55 minutes for drinks. Some orders were forgotten. Small snacks such as: Cakes arrived after 70 minutes. We had to ask three times for an ashtray. Ambiance is great, but it's just not worth it.

Inexpensive meals. Friendly service. We recommend.

Great food, regional dishes that are sometimes unusual. Small but nice card. My highlight at the moment is kale. Great drinks and the overall price-performance ratio is right. Always my pleasure.

The restaurant is rustic and beautifully located in the forest. The map is small but nice. The taste was very good, although some of the food was cold. However, the staff handled the criticism very well and professionally. We'll come back and see if it was just bad luck.

Quaint restaurant with great decoration. Very cozy. The menu is small but I really liked the selection. Something completely different, I decided on a Leberkäs burger and was thrilled.

Modern and very tastefully furnished. Very good price/performance ratio. Creative dishes, good & friendly service. Our hiking group of 15 people was completely satisfied. EC card payments should be questioned... We'll be back, no question... clear recommendation. Keep it up 👍

Sehr gemütlich, geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtetes altes Forsthaus. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Kreative Speisekarte: Meine Wahl “Wildbratwurstkringel auf Reibekuchen mit Sauerkirschsosse“, war dann leider nicht verfügbar. Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Unsere Wandergruppe mit 15 Personen war insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Also klare Empfehlung, trotz oder gerade weil „volles Haus“ und damit ausgelastet. Wir kommen wieder, keine Frage … !

Sehr gemütliche rustikale Atmosphäre und Räume in Verbindung mit tollen Speisen von hoher Qualität und super Zubereitung und freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service. Genau mein Geschmack. Ich werde gerne wiederkommen.

Lecker und gerne wieder. Das Essen hat uns allen geschmeckt und war auch reichhaltig. Der Haushund hat uns ordentlich begrüßt, und nachdem er seine Kuscheleinheit abgeholt hatte, war er dann auch zufrieden und hat sich zurück gezogen.

Wenn die Sonne am Himmel lacht, ist das Forsthaus ein Paradies. Wenn´s regnet, einfach gemütlich. Handgemachte Speisen von sehr guter Qualität, nette Bedienung und ein breites Angebot ausgesuchter Biere, die auch mal nicht aus den üblichen Industriehallen der sonst inflationär angebotenen, geschmacklosen, mit Turbohefe gebrauten Plörren bestehen. Biergarten - Feeling auf bayrischem Niveau im Sauerland. Selten genug. Alles wildromantisch und dabei detailverliebt rund um's Haus und innen drin. So stelle ich mir ein "zweites Wohnzimmer" vor. Gut für mich, dass ich mein Zuhause nur schwerlich fußläufig erreichen kann, die Versuchung, zu "versacken" wäre groß.

Mir hat's als Ankommensort nach der Wanderung wirklich gut gefallen...und wir mussten aufs Essen kaum warten...war trotz Menge schnell

Sehr lecker gegessen. Kleine Speisekarte aber bestimmt für jeden was dabei. Beim Service muss ich was abziehen, die Dame kam 3 mal nachfragen. Mein Teller wurde schon abgeräumt obwohl meine Frau noch am essen war. Danke

Das Restaurant liegt im Wald, ruhig gelegen. Schöner Biergarten, Speisekarte für jeden was dabei. Service ist super nett.

Die Natur ringsum ist traumhaft, was dem gesamten Etablissement zugute kommt. Die Service ist freundlich und kompetent. Die Sanitäranlagen sind gut erreichbar und sauber, befinden sich allerdings draußen im Anbau. Das Essen ist gut, jedoch gibt es kaum bis keine vegan intendierten Gerichte. Insgesamt vier von fünf möglichen Sternen.

Einen tollen Geburtstag gefeiert. Lokation ist einfach super und urgemütlich, das Essen einfach super.

Nettes Forsthaus mitten im Wald, rustikaler Biergarten. Leider fing es am Abend an zu regnen, sodass wir ins Lokal gingen. Sehr gemütlich und liebevoll gestaltet ist der Innenbereich, sehr nette, freundliche und witzige Bedienung!!! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ;))

Super schönen Geburtstag gefeiert

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Waldstück. Leckeres Essen. Ein Restaurant/Biergarten, in schönen verschiedenen Stilen im Innenraum (siehe Bilder). Auch sehr schön als Firma oder Feiergruppe nutzbar. Die Lokation gibt so viel her ! Das Personal ist nett, freundlich und engagiert. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall ! Preise sind auch angemessen für die Größe der Speisen.

War dort auf einer Hochzeitsfeier. Tolle gemütliche Location fast im Wald aber super zu erreichen und leckeres Essen 👍

Locale in mezzo ai boschi di Iserlohn frequentato solo dai tedeschi della zona proprio come piace a me. Ho mangiato una specie di rosti di patate buonissimo con salmone affumicato. Il rosti di patate è in pratica una o più patate tagliate alla julienne leggermente impastate con 1 uovo e fatte saltare in padella... il risultato è una specie di frittata molto gustosa. Salmone di buona qualità come pure la birra artigianale della gasthof

Sehr nett in einer urigen Lage. Essen ist sehr lecker.

Schon beim reinkommen stank extrem nach altem Pommesfett. Deswegen haben wir uns nur für einen Apfelkuchen entschieden, der aber auch leider nicht durch gebacken war. Wir hoffen, dass es nächstes Mal wieder besser wird.

Wir waren in den letzten sonnigen Wochen 3 mal dort und haben sehr lecker gegessen. Das Sommerschnitzel ist ein Tip. Wir sind vom Essen und auch von dem schlagfertigen; lustigen Herrn im Service begeistert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Lieber das Forsthaus mit einer kleinen Anzahl an grundsoliden Speisen. Als so eine Abgedrehte Bude mit Speisen die man noch nichtmal aussprechen kann.

Die Tenne vor einem Jahr angemietet, am Tag der Feier wurde wegen Doppelbuchung abgesagt. Hatte Mitleid mit dem Wirt und habe zum Glück anderweitig feiern können, was ich aber selber in die Hand nehmen musste. Im Nachhinein habe ich erfahren, dass das bei ihm nicht ein Einzelfall ist...wie er mir vorgegaukelt hat. Anscheinen konnte er bei der anderen Feier mehr verdienen?! Seine Bedienung lässt eher die Gäste verhungern und verdursten, daher hatte ich mir selber 2 Bedienungen für die Feier besorgt. Wir waren 2 x mit 6 und 8 Leuten dort. Wir hatten nach 1 Stunde noch immer keine Getränke. Bin dann mehrfach zu den Bedienungen gegangen, damit wir endlich was zu Trinken bekamen. Beim ersten Mal sind wir ohne Erfolg gegangen. Schade eigentlich. Die Lokation ist schön gelegen, tolles Ambiente, aber der Rest ist nicht der Burner.

Nach monatelanger Vorbereitung und mehreren Abstimmterminen wurde am Tag der Veranstaltung vom Betreiber abgesagt, wegen einer Doppelbuchung.

dieses süsse Lokal allein im Wald ist als Ziel oder Start einer Wanderung durch das Land der 1000 Berge ganz toll geeignet. Das Essen ist geschmackvoll und das Ambiente einfach der Umgebung angepasst, Freundliche Bedienung, super Preis- leistungsverhältnis.

Die Werbung "private Veranstaltung ...möglich" kann man getrost vergessen. Der Wirt ist mit der Erstellung eines Angebotes völlig überfordert. Eine geplante Feier ist deshalb geplatzt. Keine Nachricht, kein Anruf, keine Entschuldigung... Da spielt der Wirt dann toter Mann.

Eine gemütliche Gaststätte mit sehr schönem Außenbereich für den Sommer. Das Essen Krüstchen war klasse. Gerne gehen wir nochmal hin

Egal ob auf ein Bier oder zu einem Essen, ist dort der richtige Platz, um eine gute Zeit zu verbringen. Danztürmchen frisch vom Fass! Frische Küche, Biergarten im Sommer und die Tenne, auf der regelmäßig Livemusik geboten wird. Private Veranstaltungen außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten sind auch möglich.
