Everyone is very nice and the place is nice, but Al-Wajbi is small

The best Arabic restaurant I have ever visited in Germany. It reflects the exact Syrian soul from Aleppo. If you are looking for a taste of the real Aleppo, you have to try this. Thanks to everyone who works in this restaurant.

Great selection of vegan dishes. Very nice atmosphere. It's just a shame that there is no home-baked bread (pita, focaccia) to go with hummus, baba ganoush, muhammara etc. Instead, unfortunately only the very thin one from the package.

Here is a possible rating: A culinary highlight! I went to Foodlogie and absolutely loved it! The Syrian food here is truly first-class – the flavors are authentic, the ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are prepared with great attention to detail. The mezze and main course were particularly delicious, and the desserts are to die for! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, you immediately feel at home. The interior exudes an oriental charm that takes you on a short journey to the Middle East for a few hours. The service was also excellent - the team was attentive, friendly and listened to our every need. I can only warmly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back. If you love Syrian cuisine or want to rediscover it, you shouldn't miss this restaurant! I hope this review fits well!

I had to wait 1 hour to order, the food was normal and the portion was too small, for the first time I've seen something like that in Arabic cuisine, about 50 grams of rice in a dish for 18 euros is really stupid.

Delicious food and wonderful service

We ate there yesterday with 3 people. The food is delicious, but unfortunately the portions are far too small for the price. Unfortunately the service is not attentive. Every time you have to call the waiters. We also ordered the Mezza mix plate. It tastes good, but the portions are far too small and there is far too little Arabic bread. We also had to ask for it. Mix grill plate was also tasty, but unfortunately a little too little. Unfortunately there was no coffee available because the machine was broken. The dessert was very tasty. The table was also wobbly and sticky. You have to clean and adjust it properly. Conclusion: portions too small for the price and service needs improvement, ambience is very nice. Food tastes good, table cleanliness not so good. I probably wouldn't come again.

Unfortunately it has diminished significantly...dishes seem loveless. Unfortunately, organization and service are not available. It's a shame, they used to be really good!

Today I was in Essen and everything has to do with food again. This time to a wonderful Syrian restaurant. I now know Syrians to be a very hospitable people, and I witnessed this again here, at Foodlogie. Arranging the plates is always a joy for my eyes. It reflects the passion for cooking, and you can feel that with the first bite. Very tasty food. Nicely seasoned, beautifully presented, cozy atmosphere and very friendly service, a very clear recommendation 👌👍

I visited the Foodlogie restaurant and absolutely loved it! The selection of vegan dishes is great, and everything I tried was incredibly delicious. I was particularly impressed by the oriental flavors and the creative preparations. The service was also outstanding - we were there with a larger group and didn't have a reservation, but we were still served quickly and friendly. The ambience in the restaurant is beautiful, with an atmospheric decoration that makes the stay very pleasant. If you are looking for delicious, vegan oriental cuisine, you should definitely try Foodlogie. Absolute recommendation!

The evening started well yesterday. We were there with a group of girls to celebrate a birthday. The waitress took some time to accept our order. Well, it's not that bad.😉 The starters were quite ok and well portioned. We were also looking forward to the main course, it looked very good and was also delicious. Until I found a screw in my rice while eating...😣Everyone at our table was flabbergasted and checked their food to be on the safe side. Luckily I saw it and didn't already have it on my fork or in my mouth...Which would certainly have been fatal. I then went to the waiter, I think it was also the owner. Asked him to come to the table and see for himself. He came along and his reaction was very sobering... a short, dry, ummm, sorry and that my meal was on the house was nothing else to expect. Some empathy and forbearance could have been shown for this mishap in the kitchen. Me and my friends have lost our appetite for it. Makes me wonder how they work in the kitchen! There was no choice for dessert either… they only had one dessert available. You couldn't order coffee/cappuccino either because their milk container apparently didn't work. The service is desirable, there is definitely still room for improvement. Especially after such a mishap in the kitchen with the screw in the food!!!!

Extremely delicious Syrian food

It's been a long time since I've eaten so well and with such great service! The falafel donuts were simply incredibly delicious 😍. The vegan selection was also huge. 👌🏼

Falafel platter ordered for pickup. The falafel was honestly perfect. Normally I don't like falafel that much but these were juicy and with the tahini sauce an absolute highlight. The rest of the plate (hummus salad and Muhammara) was more than solid. I can absolutely recommend it.

Surprisingly different and remarkably good! We were served very friendly and quickly in the well-kept dining room at around 9 p.m. without a reservation. The food was excellent and lovingly prepared. I have always dreamed of this adorable little shop, but today when I walked past there the employee leaning against the kitchen window spoke directly to me and my companion and used racist expressions over four times!!!!. He even followed us outside and even when I stopped him he wouldn't stop talking! Does your faith allow you to tolerate such behavior？

We stumbled on this restaurant by chance, as it's in a more residential area off the beaten path. They serve delicious Syrian food in generous portions. The decor and atmosphere are unique and welcoming and although the staff seemed a little short, they were very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

I have ordered lamb mandi 2 hours ago and I am surprised that the quantity of basmati rice is so small. The taste is good, but the price of €19 for a small quantity is expensive.

Went there on a Thursday evening without a reservation. The dishes were fresh, very tasty and well seasoned. The service was friendly, courteous and quick. As a starter we had the Foodlogie platter, ten different small starters with bread, which were easy to share and impressed us with their taste. My brother had a falafel platter with several side dishes and dips, I had rice with eggplant and cauliflower, with a light yogurt sauce. The price-performance ratio was great. We were completely satisfied and will be back!

The selection of starters and main courses is large and every bite is a pleasure. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, paired with oriental music, makes the visit a real experience. Delivery was on time, the fries were also good, but the portions are really too small for the price, I ordered Sish Tavouk (17 euros), they forgot the fatoush salad, I found the falafel tasteless, and the wrap shoarma for 13 euros really too small, unfortunately disappointed paid 40 euros and still hungry.

Went spontaneously to Foodlogie on a Thursday evening. With a bit of luck you can get a table for 3 people, I would recommend booking in advance. Nice staff, unfortunately some things were missed when ordering (wrong side dishes, even though they were extra beforehand). The food itself was really delicious. We will be back.

The ambiance is very cozy and the seat was reserved in advance but most of the spaces were empty on top floor. Nevertheless, the food tasted really good and portion size is also fine. Service is very friendly and payment is available via card as well.

Das syrische offene Buffet bot eine beeindruckende Vielfalt authentischer Geschmacksrichtungen. Die Gerichte waren köstlich gewürzt und frisch zubereitet. Die Auswahl reichte von herzhaften Fleischgerichten bis hin zu aromatischen vegetarischen Optionen. Die Gastfreundschaft des Personals trug zur angenehmen Atmosphäre bei. Insgesamt eine empfehlenswerte kulinarische Erfahrung, die die Vielfalt der syrischen Küche in den Vordergrund stellt.

Lecker und frisch zubereitet. Wir waren zu Mittag da und konnten zwischen 6-7 verschiedenen Speisen auswählen. Die Standartspeisekarte war nicht verfügbar, dennoch durften wir eine kalte Vorspeise davon bestellen. Wir waren an dem Tag die ersten Gästinnen und fanden das Ambiente sehr gemütlich, vor allem weil arabische Musik lief. Diese wurde jedoch leider gegen englische Musik ausgetauscht, nachdem andere Gäste eintrafen, was wir sehr schade fanden. Dennoch war alles stimmig.

Der Abend war von Anfang bis Ende perfekt. Das Essen war sehr lecker der Service war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Preis und Leistung war sehr sehr gut. Ich kann es mit ruhigem Gewissen jedem empfehlen, komme gerne wieder.

Meine Güte war das lecker! Die veganen Gerichte sind super lecker! Vieles ist mit Sesam und daher in der selben Küche zubereitet, da müssen Allergiker etwas aufpassen. Es gibt keinen Alkohol auf der Karte. Die Parkplatzamsituation ist etwas knifflig. Parkscheibe oder - Scheine, wenn man einen gefunden hat. Von der Haltestelle Rüttenscheider Stern sind es aber auch nur knapp 5 Minuten zu Fuß.

Haben 2 wraps zu wenig bekommen bei unserer Bestellung. Die wraps die wir bekommen haben waren ok. Die Joghurtsauce schmeckt nach nichts. Für den Preis absolut nicht in Ordnung.

Wir hatten im Rahmen einer Firmenveranstaltung das ganze Restaurant gebucht. Es war ein ganz wunderbarer Abend! Zuerst möchte ich die freundlichen und zugewandten Mitarbeiter herausstellen. Toll! Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Absolutes Highlight war das bereitgestellte Buffet. Die Vorspeisen - sehr lecker. Man könnte sich vorstellen, dass man gar nichts anderes braucht, um glücklich zu sein. Aber dann die warmen Gerichte, ein Träumchen! Aubergine mit Hackfleisch, Hühnerbeine mit Reis, klingt erstmal gar nicht so spektakulär - aber es war wirklich extrem lecker. Das Hühnchenfleisch war so zart, dass es vom Knochen in den Mund gehüpft ist. Vielen Dank!

Superschön eingerichtet und das Essen auch superlecker!

Haben bisher nur bestellt. Beim ersten Mal waren wir hin und weg. Das zweite Mal war nicht mehr so toll. Und heute haben wir 1h20min (Freitagabend) auf das Essen gewartet. Es fehlte der Wrap (ciao 6€) und das Gericht mit den Saubohnen (Ful) war kaum genießbar, was uns beim ersten Mal wahnsinnig gut geschmeckt hat. Aber heute waren die Saubohnen muffig. Vielleicht sollte man nicht Freitagabend bestellen? Oder die Köchin/der Koch wurde gewechselt? Wer weiß… sind ein bisschen traurig über die Entwicklung.
