Best döner I've ever eaten, one of the best places in Cologne

Late night Turkish food on Sunday_12th April, 2025, 12 55 AM. Very hungry_ Had Tasty food with family. People on the outside having food or getting take away. Walkable from Hansaring S Bahn station.

The doner kebab was simply amazing: fresh, juicy meat, crispy bread, and super-tasty sauces. Everything was perfectly balanced. What was especially nice: I even got a free juice with it! The seller was incredibly friendly and really took his time. You just feel welcome here. Highly recommended.

Located directly on Hansaring, this shop impresses not only with its good food but also with exceptional service. Compared to the surrounding kebab shops, the friendliness of the staff here is particularly striking. Even special requests that aren't necessarily on the menu are fulfilled without any problems and with a smile. Definitely recommended.

It's been a long time since I've had such a fresh and juicy kebab. The meat is hand-carved with a knife (so it's very tender), there's a huge variety of sauces, fresh lemons are squeezed by hand, and the service is excellent and friendly!

I didn't like the food. I ordered doner fries for €7.50. The meat was very salty, there was too little sauce, and there were too few fries. €7.50 is very expensive for little service and too little sauce. If I'm paying that, I want to eat exactly what I ordered and not put it in the box myself. When I ask, he rolls his eyes. "Yes, I'll pay for your bread too!" The employee (very young/sluggish) was unfriendly and didn't feel like doing his job. One star is too many.

I bought a kebab there for the first time today. Since I don't have a strong immune system and handling money and food is always difficult for me, I asked if they could use gloves. They agreed immediately and in a very friendly manner. No one made me feel unwelcome. So, in terms of human qualities, they were pretty high up there. The veal kebab was completely different from what I'm used to. I was skeptical at first, but the meat tasted great, no gristle or anything like that, and not too dry like in many other shops. The herb sauce goes perfectly with it. I'll definitely be back. Thank you for your understanding. I felt at home. ☺️

We were looking for something tasty to eat on Thursday evening shortly after 10. After desperately standing in front of several closed pizzerias, we discovered this oasis. As vegetarians, we let the boss convince us and simply said that we would like something with falafel and halloumi. And what can I say, we weren't disappointed. We were given a huge plate of goodies with excellent chips, salad, warm flatbread, crispy falafel, delicious halloumi and dips. All of this at a great price too! Thank you very much for the great hospitality 🙏

Today I unfortunately realized that my stomach couldn't quite cope with yesterday's kebab. Now I'm wondering what it could have been: Maybe it was the employee who prepared the kebab with a clearly sweaty head - there is a good chance that one or two drops of sweat gave the kebab that certain something. Or was it the colleague who shook hands with every third person in front of the shop, only to then go back behind the counter with unwashed hands - and then fold the kebab bread with the same fingers? I really wonder what exactly was bothering my stomach. My review here should at least give you a hint.

I've been coming here to eat regularly for almost three years now - and it's always a pleasure! The food is always fresh, delicious and full of flavor. The service is top: warm, attentive and you immediately feel welcome. The owner often offers free qaj or ayran – a great gesture! The atmosphere is also very pleasant and clean. In short: deserves 5 stars!

The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and relaxed. There is a wide range of tables, both indoors and outdoors.
