Floßlände in Augsburg

The food arrived, but the burger patty wasn't cooked through. We informed the server. She was friendly and replaced the burger. Unfortunately, the fries weren't returned. I again informed the server that they were missing (about €5 extra). The server replied, "Yeah, they'd be cold by now anyway." So, the fries weren't brought, neither my "old" nor my fresh ones, but they were on the bill.

I will come to this place again and again.Great food and unbelievable ambience and seating, be it indoor or outdoor.

We had reserved a table here, and unfortunately, the experience was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, the waitress treated us very rudely – we felt practically ignored. Our reservation was met with nothing more than an annoyed look. With temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius, we were supposed to be seated inside. When we asked for a table outside, we were simply told that reservations outside are generally not possible. However, there is no indication of this anywhere in the reservation. Instead of trying to find a solution, they showed no interest in accommodating us. Zero effort, zero friendliness. In the end, we felt so unwelcome that we left the restaurant immediately. For us, it was a clear case: never again! It's a shame, but that's definitely not how you treat guests.

Extremely loud, but great food and friendly service

Wonderful view, all the dishes excellent and worth the money. Very friendly service, flexible staff. A chance discovery for us during our visit here, certainly a great asset for Augsburg!

Beautiful location right on the Lech River. From the terrace, you have a view of the pebble beach and the water. Very friendly staff, and prices are reasonable.

It's in Lechhausen, so you can't get into it. Otherwise, great.

We love going to the Floßlände. The food is excellent, the service friendly, and the view fantastic. That's how it's been so far. On Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM, the world (of the Floßlände) was a different place when the four of us arrived there. The waitress, Melinda, was extremely unfriendly, taciturn, rude, and dismissive, almost to the point of refusing service. We had to ask for the daily specials. We were yelled at when the drinks were delivered. The table wasn't cleared for a long time. No one even asked if we enjoyed the food, nor if we wanted dessert or coffee, etc. Two women next to us left without ordering anything because they were also treated very unfriendly. The food came very quickly. But it wasn't as good as usual. The Tyrolean cheese spaetzle was only lukewarm and very dry. The melted onions were just white and overcooked. The side salad, however, was excellent (balsamic dressing). In the mountain farmer's salad, only one of the "fried mushrooms" was visible. The large colorful salad was very good. In the men's restroom, water covered about half the surface. One of the two toilet seats had no toilet paper or holder, and the toilet seat was completely loose. And this despite the fact that the restaurant had only opened at 11:30 a.m. I hope this was just a one-time slip-up.

The terrace is very nice. The service was already irritated 20 minutes after opening. Dishes from the weekly menu were not available; a second side salad only came upon request. The restrooms are not recommended.

An unassuming restaurant from the street. But the staff, the food, and the seating by the Lech River make it a fantastic experience. Update: Even after two years, we still love coming here. Sitting by the Lech River is simply wonderful, especially in summer.

Unfortunately, you feel like a second-class guest in the so-called beer garden. Not only is the food selection limited, but so is the presentation. Instead of glasses, there are plastic cups, and the salad came in a cardboard bowl. The cutlery was wooden. It wasn't a fun place to eat. I'd happily go back to the Floßlände, but not to the beer garden.

Nice location, good food, but very expensive. A simple pinsa with tomato sauce and cheese costs €15, even though it's self-service. Not to mention the bottled Spezi, for which you have to queue for €4.80.

A great place to relax. You can get something delicious to eat and drink, all highly recommended and delicious! The view of the Lech River is simply wonderful. There's good background music to keep you entertained. It's perfect for a quick stop or a longer stay. Highly recommended!

The service was simply excellent and very friendly. The food was amazing, as always. We come here twice a year and everything is always perfect. The view is simply stunning. We always enjoy it.

I often go to the Flosslände in Augsburg. It's a lovely, quiet restaurant with very friendly staff. Whether outside on the terrace by the Lech River or inside, it's wonderful.

Simply a dream to sit on the terrace, chat and eat

We were there with about 15 people. The Floßlände has a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere and a unique view. We also have to commend the very courteous, friendly, and prompt staff. The food was served to everyone in our group at the same time and was very delicious. We're always happy to come back.

Prices are now so high that you're starting to wonder whether you want to spend so much money for a beautiful view. The restrooms are designed for anyone to use; they're not clean, but they're OK.

Floßlände – lots of ambiance, little taste! On July 23rd, I visited the Floßlände for lunch – an idyllically located restaurant right on the water, with a great view and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food on my visit didn't live up to the ambiance. Starter: Cold Cucumber and Dill Soup The start to the meal was disappointing. The cold cucumber soup, while intended to be refreshing, unfortunately seemed unbalanced and bland. It lacked salt, acidity, and depth – a few drops of lemon juice or a splash of vinegar would have worked wonders. So, it simply remained insignificant. Main Course: Dolomiten Burger (€15.40) The biggest disappointment, however, was the burger. The "Dolomiten Burger," advertised on the menu as featuring beef, arugula, bacon, a slice of mountain cheese, melted onions, and burger sauce, unfortunately seemed carelessly cobbled together. The bun was dry and more reminiscent of a reheated breakfast roll than a high-quality burger bun. The bacon was barely noticeable, the burger sauce practically nonexistent, and the overall taste experience was surprisingly bland. For €15.40, I would have expected significantly more refinement and freshness—especially compared to other burger joints in the city, such as Wabi-Sabi, where a creative, juicy burger is served for the same price that's truly impressive. Service & Ambience The service was friendly and attentive—nothing to complain about. The ambiance by the water is also, of course, fantastic. In nice weather, the outdoor area is a great place to linger. All the more unfortunate that the culinary experience couldn't live up to its potential. Conclusion: The Floßlände has an excellent location and friendly service—but the food falls far short of its potential. The taste is disappointing and the price is overpriced. Anyone expecting a really good burger for €15 should look elsewhere.

It was very crowded, and some of the staff were quite unfriendly. The food was okay, but it was quick.

Actually, it was quite nice, they made a lot out of a little!! The food was surprisingly delicious and the service was very nice, apart from the fact that she reminded us about the tip.

The waitress seemed very helpless and out of place. Burger bun was bone dry. Cheese and sauce OK. Paddy perfect "medium" Mountain farmer's salad very fine. Schlutzkrapfen also very tasty. Cashier was super nice, very friendly, and polite. Dear Bob, just tweak a few small things and the package will be perfect. Best regards💀☠️😎🤘

A very nice location right on the Lech River. There's also an attached bar one floor below, from which you can go swimming in the Lech. The attractively priced lunch menu, which can still be seen in old photos here on Google, is unfortunately no longer available. I had a falafel bowl for €17. For that price, it could have been a bit more substantial, but it tasted wonderful. Overall, the food was a bit too expensive for my taste according to the current menu. The service staff was friendly and attentive, but at times seemed a bit overwhelmed, even though it was hardly busy and only a handful of tables were occupied by a few people.

I was appalled by the prices; my strawberry-lemon spritz tasted watery. The stairs are dirty. There are no ashtrays. What a shame for such a beautiful location! They just take cash. Next time, I'll bring my own drinks and sit on the gravel bench!

We stopped there for a drink after a long bike ride. First, we discovered that the two front tables belonged to the bar downstairs. OK, then we went down to the "kiosk" with two older people who have trouble climbing stairs. Then, with two people in front of us, we queued for 20 minutes to get one beer and three coffees in paper cups!!! for a good price. We had to circle back up again. No, not for us. Apart from the beautiful location, we wouldn't recommend it.

We had coffee and cake here on Sunday afternoon. A great place with a beautiful view. The atmosphere is cozy, the cake is delicious and the service is very friendly. Afterwards we were able to take a relaxing Sunday walk along the river. If you want to walk along the river and have something to eat and drink, I can highly recommend this location.

I can't say much about the food and service, self-service drinks. For me (former Lechhauser) the ambience is priceless.

The food and location are truly great, and the service on site is always excellent! The absolute worst thing: reservations! I actually wanted to celebrate my milestone birthday there and made an online inquiry. After not receiving a response for a week, I sent another email --> again, no response. The following response was received to my phone inquiry: - Too many reservation requests - Response time at least 2 weeks - Unfortunately, they can't say whether there's still space - They ultimately advised me to look for an alternative It's been over 2 weeks now - and I've still not heard back. Luckily, I followed the advice of the employee on the phone and looked for an alternative, otherwise I'd probably forget about my birthday dinner. What a shame, the organization here is lacking!

I visit this restaurant regularly in the summer and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, I was disappointed on my last visit. I ordered a pinsa 30 minutes before closing time and received a pager. After an hour, I realized I had received the wrong pager. Instead of informing the guests that the pinsa was ready and unidentifiable, the doors at the bottom of the stairs were locked. When I asked upstairs, I received my lukewarm pinsa, which I had to eat on the stairs under the floodlights. I hope that management will respond better to such situations in the future to maintain the usual level of service.

Very nice location to have a drink on the terrace or steps by the water. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, the quality of the canteens had nothing to do with South Tyrolean cuisine. Service was friendly. The toilets are outside the building and are used by walkers, so the condition is accordingly. I don't necessarily have to go there again.

The blonde waitress today was an absolute disaster. Friends of hers came in and she screamed while we were ordering and went straight to them. We waited a long time for our stuff and it was literally just thrown on the table. We had reserved and were seated throughout. The view was not there. The cake was good, there is no decaffeinated coffee. Unfortunately for us it was a one-off visit.

We have been to the Flosslände several times, celebrated our Christmas party there and were there again today. The location and the view are unique, you sit very nicely, the view of the Lech is amazing. Very conveniently located and in summer it's nice to sit on the terrace or on the steps to the river. The food is also very good and was always excellent, whether onion roast, pinsa or the South Tyrolean specialties. Unfortunately the service is not up to par. At our Christmas party we had to wait a long time for food and drinks and the service was rarely good. All in all it was still very good. Today we sat upstairs, the first drinks and food came quite quickly and at the same time. My second drink (ordered during the meal) was not brought until the end despite asking. I then canceled it when paying. There was no apology, which would have been the minimum. It's a shame, that really detracted from the otherwise very good impression.

We were there as a group (around 20 people), received friendly service and ate well. The waiting time was fatal. It took over half an hour to order a drink and two and a half hours until the food arrived. The staff on site was nice and tried hard - but they were also completely overwhelmed by the situation, as they were probably hopelessly understaffed and rather inaccessible to criticism and even rude. It's a shame - there's really a lot of room for improvement in management.

Great location right on the Lech - especially in summer when the sliding doors are open to the river. The Floßlände is a real enrichment for Lechhausen. The food was always very good - whether pinsa or other dishes - and the service was impeccable. The only thing that is completely wrong is the sanitary facilities. The smelly toilet container doesn't fit in with the rest in any way. Some people avoid going to the toilet. And others probably just go into the bushes...so...always stay on the paths

Beautiful atmosphere, great location, professional crew, beautiful music, delicious food - everything fits together and makes you want to visit these places again.

Toilet outside. Beef onion rust below average. Except maybe to quench your thirst for a moment... There's good beer in the store. View for free. Why is that!?
