In short, expectations and reality do not match here. We ordered 3 dishes, the price was right on the border, all burgers were very poorly topped and very economical with the sauces. Fries are already cheeky. In the competition it would have been 3x from the “children’s” box. Plus it's soft and not hot. Limited drinks available. Ambiance is very sparsely furnished and has little flair. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Table was visually clean, but still sticky in some places. Not cleaned properly. Staff busy at the counter. But nice and helpful during the ordering process. I don't think we'll eat here again in Essen at Limberger Platz. It was by far the weakest fast food chain we ate at. I've definitely had these burgers in 3 different cities and they taste just as delicious. I really liked coming to eat there, but the only detail I didn't like was the cashier who seemed bored, angry, I don't know, she didn't have a good attitude and there wasn't any mayonnaise either haha ​​otherwise everything is perfect, delicious potatoes and there are plenty of them.

The cheeseburger was terrible. For €12, I expected the bun to at least be warm and crispy. I asked the staff, and they all just grinned, "What do you want from us?" I would never go there again.

A great cross between a local burger joint and an upscale burger joint. Tastes absolutely delicious. Fries are a bit overpriced, but they were tasty. Drinks are refillable, top-notch.

This restaurant has an exciting concept. Everything is freshly and visibly prepared, you choose from a small but fine menu with no frills. You can put together your own sauces and side dishes (at no extra charge), as can drinks. Simple, delicious. The presentation is quite bland with the bags, and the ambience with the bright light is quite clinical, but completely fine for fast food. I always find employees to be friendly.

Far too expensive, listless employees and a cold atmosphere

Nice good like always. Not first time for me eating at a Five Guys. Worker very confusing about the toppings. Didn't know how to explain it and ended up confusing himself and became unfriendly.

Yesterday I was there again and accidentally ordered a medium burger instead of a small one for around €7.50 including tax. There was no difference between the small fries and the employee made a succinct statement that this would be the standard (with reference from me that I would otherwise have the same content for approx 5€) so it's apparently the company's strategy to cheat its guests or the standard there, quite apart from the fact that even the fries for 5€ are a disgrace... was there last time and can only advise everyone against it, you can for them Half the price better eat at Limbecker

Burger was ok but too expensive. Fries were way too soggy. The beer at €4.5 for 0.33l was also out of proportion. Won't be coming back! 2 burgers, 2 small fries, 2 drinks for 40€ are just too much, so it doesn't help that I can pour my own mayo and ketchup.

Really disgusting. I always told everyone how awesome Five Guys was, but something would change, whether it was new employees who only got minimum wage or whatever. In any case, I came from further afield to eat there again because it was so delicious before, ordered normal cheeseburgers (the employees didn't speak a word of German) then of course just €15 a burger, we bit into the burgers and it tastes completely tattered, how can I best describe it, like rotting fish, you couldn't taste a bit of beef and everything else on the burger was completely disgusting. Disgusting and given the abnormally high prices, such a service is a disgrace.

Restaurant is dirty, service is nice but doesn't come to the table, prices are above restaurant level, with food that could have come from McDonald's. The portions of fries are generous, but also incredibly expensive. All in all, you don't need it again.

We ordered a regular fries and a hot dog with freshly grilled mushrooms. The fries were thrown into the bag and were soggy and too salty. The hot dog was almost inedible for us. Also mushy and greasy. The freshly grilled mushrooms smelled more like they were fresh out of the can. Price-performance ratio is not right at all. One star for as much ketchup and mayo as you want and one star for allowing dogs.

Great food, no pretences, well made and delicious. Served in good time. Store needs attending and constant cleaning due to high volume. Staff should be more careful on ketchup and mayonnaise containers to keep them properly filled. Tables need to be also cared for regularly.

In my opinion, one of the best burgers in the area. I can understand that you won't be blown away when you unpack the burgers, as they usually come a little squished. But the fact that some users claim that the burgers are not juicy is nonsense. Here and there it has happened to us that individual ingredients that we ordered at the checkout were missing, but we always got them separately as soon as we contacted the kitchen. Overall, the burgers have never been a disappointment in terms of taste. Unfortunately, I have to admit that the fries are pretty hit-or-miss. For us, the positive experience outweighs the negatives here too. The free refill option for drinks is a big plus for us. I wouldn't say the drinks are watered down either. Of course, if you're used to drinking the syrup straight, you'll notice a difference. Finally, the milkshakes are amazing. You shouldn't miss this if you're in the area. In terms of price, it's definitely a different price than McDonalds, but if you want to eat high-quality burgers, you'll have to spend a few euros more. I and we give FiveGuys in Limbeckerplatz an unreserved recommendation to try.

The drinks were a disgrace: the refill station clearly mixed too little syrup into the water and the drinks were correspondingly tasteless. As always, we had a great stay with you. The fries were nice and hot and fresh, the bacon cheese was, as always, spot on and wonderfully juicy. My two special requests, extra Cajubn seasoning and HP sauce separately, were also fulfilled. Despite the fact that we were there late in the afternoon, the restaurant was super clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. On the way home I treated myself to a banana, peanut butter and bacon shake. You are just great, keep it up. Unfortunately there are no more stars.

Lots of rubbish, no special taste and a classic fast food atmosphere for a high price. Sauce and drinks are included free/cheap; that's good so far. Unfortunately my first and last visit to Five Guys.

The food is great as usual. The anti-Semitic point is the sometimes loud and non-conformist visitors. The restaurant operators could definitely intervene in a regulatory manner here.

I've seen waiting halls in train stations that exude more charm and coziness. The fries were soggy and extremely salty. The concept of fries in a cup and cup in a brown paper bag doesn't make sense to me.

Five Guys used to be my favorite fast food restaurant, but that changed last week. My wife and I were there with our dog. Instead of a friendly greeting, however, we received an unfriendly greeting from an employee who made it clear to us that dogs are not welcome in the restaurant. There was no sign anywhere that said dogs were not allowed. It's disappointing to see how the staff treat customers, especially when it comes to something as basic as following rules. It would have been appropriate to politely inform us that dogs are not allowed instead of shouting at us and expelling us from the restaurant. This experience has greatly affected my opinion of Five Guys and I will eat elsewhere in the future.

I ate Five Guys for the first time today because I thought I had to try it and I was really impressed with it. The service was really great and the food was great too. I also work in the catering industry and know how to be critical.

The burger was cold, the meat was overcooked. The fries were great and so were the drinks. For the price you can go somewhere else better.

Good food, crunchy, fresh and well seasoned fries and their veggie sandwich was just as flavorful. Unlimited refills of drinks and dips is a bonus. A bit pricey to be a fast food chain with no service and mediocre/decent food overall, but for a quick bite of comfort food it’s good.

First time Five Guys. Wow what overpriced hype. Ok the patties are fresh but for a mini fries 4.95 euros is a blast. Five Guys is a fast food restaurant with a canteen atmosphere and simple furnishings. What I can recommend is the bacon and cheese hot dog, the burgers are also supposed to be good. Otherwise there is self-service when it comes to drinks and mayo/ketchup and the drinks can easily be refilled at the machines. The milkshakes are good too.

My Partner and I ordered food, only for the burgers to be warm, and the fries to be cold and dry. We ordered the food via the Wolt app, and even after an hour the app stated that the food was not yet ready. After over an hour we get a notification that the food is now ready and will be delivered. 10 minutes later the food is delivered and as stated above the burgers were warm, and the fries cold and dry. Service was poor and when we called to complain and hopefully get a new order, the worker would not allow us to complain, nor would he immediately agree to sending us a new order. Instead asking us to wait a few minutes… knowing they were going to close in 15 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous, especially considering the food was inedible and the order costed €50!!

Food is good but Menu alternative is to short to choose and service is bed as you pay 2 cheeseburger 🍔 40€ they don't even give you plate but restaurang was clean and stuff can't speak English it is difficult to order when you don't speak German.
