Cool burger joint. Delicious burgers, delicious fries and a flat rate for peanuts, drinks, mayo and ketchup. Very tasty milkshakes - be careful, they really fill you up!!!

I always like the burgers very much. I like the concept. Very classic burgers without any frills. The hot dogs are also to my liking. And a shake with bacon is a blast anyway. Very reasonably priced, but not comparable to BK or McD.

Clean, nice and tasty. Ordered a cheeseburger without bun, and it was very nicely done. Not falling apart at all.

Cool concept, quality and friendliness of the staff is also right.

Yes, this place is quite loud because it is in an open shopping arcade. When there is a lot of traffic in the running area, you can hardly understand a word. Just switch it on. The interior design is mine to sober.

For me personally it's a completely overpriced restaurant like McDonalds, nothing more.

Very dependent on location, some places I write off as the best burger in the country and some don't even serve food like they do here. Incredibly disgusting and doesn't even have their own ingredients.

Overpriced and the bacon was as hard as a piece of wood. I guess the people in the kitchen never touched pork in their life and have a deep disrespect for it. I would not eat here even if it was free.

Ambience made the best of it, service and food clearly five stars. A definite stop every time you visit Essen.

I don't like the atmosphere. What I particularly like is that you can put together the burgers yourself.

Really disgusting. I always told everyone how awesome Five Guys was, but something would change, whether it was new employees who only got minimum wage or whatever. In any case, I came from further afield to eat there again because it was so delicious before, ordered normal cheeseburgers (the employees didn't speak a word of German) then of course just €15 a burger, we bit into the burgers and it tastes completely tattered, how can I best describe it, like rotting fish, you couldn't taste a bit of beef and everything else on the burger was completely disgusting. Disgusting and given the abnormally high prices, such a service is a disgrace.

Restaurant is dirty, service is nice but doesn't come to the table, prices are above restaurant level, with food that could have come from McDonald's. The portions of fries are generous, but also incredibly expensive. All in all, you don't need it again.

We ordered a regular fries and a hot dog with freshly grilled mushrooms. The fries were thrown into the bag and were soggy and too salty. The hot dog was almost inedible for us. Also mushy and greasy. The freshly grilled mushrooms smelled more like they were fresh out of the can. Price-performance ratio is not right at all. One star for as much ketchup and mayo as you want and one star for allowing dogs.

Simply the best fast food chain and especially here in Essen with a super nice team!

Great food, no pretences, well made and delicious. Served in good time. Store needs attending and constant cleaning due to high volume. Staff should be more careful on ketchup and mayonnaise containers to keep them properly filled. Tables need to be also cared for regularly.

The food was fresh and tasty, friendly staff and a very clean restaurant. Unfortunately, the location is very poor because you have to go through the whole center, but you're happy to take that route for the food.

In my opinion, one of the best burgers in the area. I can understand that you won't be blown away when you unpack the burgers, as they usually come a little squished. But the fact that some users claim that the burgers are not juicy is nonsense. Here and there it has happened to us that individual ingredients that we ordered at the checkout were missing, but we always got them separately as soon as we contacted the kitchen. Overall, the burgers have never been a disappointment in terms of taste. Unfortunately, I have to admit that the fries are pretty hit-or-miss. For us, the positive experience outweighs the negatives here too. The free refill option for drinks is a big plus for us. I wouldn't say the drinks are watered down either. Of course, if you're used to drinking the syrup straight, you'll notice a difference. Finally, the milkshakes are amazing. You shouldn't miss this if you're in the area. In terms of price, it's definitely a different price than McDonalds, but if you want to eat high-quality burgers, you'll have to spend a few euros more. I and we give FiveGuys in Limbeckerplatz an unreserved recommendation to try.

There is no price-performance ratio: the burgers were okay, the fries too, but very expensive for what was on offer. The drinks were a disgrace: the refill station clearly mixed too little syrup into the water and the drinks were correspondingly tasteless. At first I thought there was an error and changed the station, but that didn't help. Cleanliness was okay, the ambience is less concourse even at McDonald's

Price/performance doesn't fit. Two burgers with fries 36 EUR. In return you got delicious fries with lukewarm, limp burgers. The atmosphere is uncomfortable and unclean. The tables sticky. Super disappointed.

As always, we had a great stay with you. The fries were nice and hot and fresh, the bacon cheese was, as always, spot on and wonderfully juicy. My two special requests, extra Cajubn seasoning and HP sauce separately, were also fulfilled. Despite the fact that we were there late in the afternoon, the restaurant was super clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. On the way home I treated myself to a banana, peanut butter and bacon shake. You are just great, keep it up. Unfortunately there are no more stars.

The Baconchees Burger has 2 patties, but it's not really warm. Choosing everything that goes on the burger yourself is annoying I didn't try fries.

The fries were very soft and popped into a paper bag. They don't provide any Paper Plate / Teller. You have to eat from Paper bag. I saw the Tables are dirty and I didn't see anyone cleaning it. My first and last visit.

Unfortunately the shop is dirty, the prices are very high and the burgers are very greasy. No recommendation.

Many of the cashiers don't feel like it, and sometimes I don't either, but when I was there three times in a row it's strange. Otherwise typical five guys which is about 5 euros cheaper than the one in Düsseldorf

The food and the staff were top!

Located in the middle of a shopping center. The drinks machine could not be selected except for the Classics. The trash cans were overflowing. There wasn't much going on and it didn't bother any service staff. The food was very tasty, but not comparable to the USA branches. Food is very expensive but tasty.

Everything you can expect from a regular fast food. Plus, free refill of variety of soft drinks as well as peanuts and dips (ketchup and mayonnaise). The taste of the meat is superb. Fries are delicious as well. However, the burger bread requires improvement.

Burgers wrapped in aluminum foil and served in a paper bag for a pretty high price. The fries were very soft and popped into the bag next to the aluminum-wrapped burger. Lots of rubbish, no special taste and a classic fast food atmosphere for a high price. Sauce and drinks are included free/cheap; that's good so far. Unfortunately my first and last visit to Five Guys.

The food is great as usual. The anti-Semitic point is the sometimes loud and non-conformist visitors. The restaurant operators could definitely intervene in a regulatory manner here.

Little hamburger and fries, soft drink. Yes, the burger was ok, but not so great that I would definitely spend almost €20.00 again. I miss the ambience. A matter of taste, of course. FG is located directly in downtown Essen in the shopping arcade at Kennedy-Platz.

In my opinion "nothing special"

I've seen waiting halls in train stations that exude more charm and coziness. The fries were soggy and extremely salty. The concept of fries in a cup and cup in a brown paper bag doesn't make sense to me.

The worst fries of my life. €4.95 for limp and completely over-salted fries. Total moon prices, €6.75 for a shake. Uncomfortable atmosphere, completely indifferent staff. Once and never again.

Five Guys used to be my favorite fast food restaurant, but that changed last week. My wife and I were there with our dog. Instead of a friendly greeting, however, we received an unfriendly greeting from an employee who made it clear to us that dogs are not welcome in the restaurant. There was no sign anywhere that said dogs were not allowed. It's disappointing to see how the staff treat customers, especially when it comes to something as basic as following rules. It would have been appropriate to politely inform us that dogs are not allowed instead of shouting at us and expelling us from the restaurant. This experience has greatly affected my opinion of Five Guys and I will eat elsewhere in the future.

I ate Five Guys for the first time today because I thought I had to try it and I was really impressed with it. The service was really great and the food was great too. I also work in the catering industry and know how to be critical.

The burger was cold, the meat was overcooked. The fries were great and so were the drinks. For the price you can go somewhere else better.

Good food, crunchy, fresh and well seasoned fries and their veggie sandwich was just as flavorful. Unlimited refills of drinks and dips is a bonus. A bit pricey to be a fast food chain with no service and mediocre/decent food overall, but for a quick bite of comfort food it’s good.

The burger was ice cold all the toppings were from the fridge as was the burger bun

Nice staff and quick service, it's too crowded and loud for me personally. Ice cream or desserts (spaghetti ice cream 10.90 euros, way too expensive). I would go there again for a coffee👍

The service was really bad. The fries were okay and the burgers were really bad, they were completely poor and I ordered without a salad but it was still there. The ambience was quite okay. In addition, the price was very, very expensive. NO RECOMMENDATION

First time Five Guys. Wow what overpriced hype. Ok the patties are fresh but for a mini fries 4.95 euros is a blast. The ingredients were all fresh but the price is disproportionate to the performance. Everything is served in a paper bag in which everything flies around. Waiting time was long. It's a shame we won't be going there anymore.

Five Guys is a fast food restaurant with a canteen atmosphere and simple furnishings. What I can recommend is the bacon and cheese hot dog, the burgers are also supposed to be good. Otherwise there is self-service when it comes to drinks and mayo/ketchup and the drinks can easily be refilled at the machines. The milkshakes are good too.

My Partner and I ordered food, only for the burgers to be warm, and the fries to be cold and dry. We ordered the food via the Wolt app, and even after an hour the app stated that the food was not yet ready. After over an hour we get a notification that the food is now ready and will be delivered. 10 minutes later the food is delivered and as stated above the burgers were warm, and the fries cold and dry. Service was poor and when we called to complain and hopefully get a new order, the worker would not allow us to complain, nor would he immediately agree to sending us a new order. Instead asking us to wait a few minutes… knowing they were going to close in 15 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous, especially considering the food was inedible and the order costed €50!!

Food is good but Menu alternative is to short to choose and service is bed as you pay 2 cheeseburger 🍔 40€ they don't even give you plate but restaurang was clean and stuff can't speak English it is difficult to order when you don't speak German.

Disgusting and super expensive...

Non-carbonated Cola Salt the fries too much I was hoping that the fries would be an experience in terms of taste - but it really wasn't anything special. Solid burgers that are freshly prepared. Extra ingredients are all included. Overall a good taste experience, but not surprisingly good. A bit too expensive in terms of price.

The food is quite ok. But the prices are simply no longer understandable since the last price increase. Almost €7 for a milkshake that you have to pick up yourself to drink at a sticky table is disproportionate.

For me it was a disappointment, the burger was cold, only the banana strawberry milkshake was good. Fries were good too. It was cold in the rooms. Price too high for what you get

Unfortunately far too expensive for what it is, the cheese on the cheeseburger wasn't melted, the burger patties were unfortunately completely cooked through, the fries and the milkshakes on the other hand are good, but unfortunately too expensive for what it ends up being. It was my second time at Five Guys in years and therefore my last time. Just under €50 for two people is just way too much when you consider what you get for it.

Unfortunately, the staff is very unfriendly and often misbehaves with customers.

Ordered food and was 45 minutes late. The food was correspondingly cold. Ingredients were missing.

Burger in Alufolie auch für vor Ort esser. Kalte Pommes für 8.50€ aber das Burger war echt gut.

One of the best fries 🍟 and burger 🍔 It's just that everything is extremely salty 🧂 A bit pricey tho, €85 for 3 people.

Pommes war gut in alle Richtungen aber das Öl, mit dem sie den Hamburger gebraten haben, hatte einen unangenehmen Brandgeruch! Der Burger war sehr trocken(überkocht), der Speck war verbrannt und er war trocken und knusprig(verbrannt)! Es war nicht nur nicht lecker, auch nicht normal! Der Preis ist für so minderwertiges Food zu hoch!

Heute zum ersten mal Five Guys ausprobiert. Also der Burger war geschmacklich gut, für den Preis allerdings zu klein. Pommes war schon echt hart gesalzen und Cola halt wie gewohnt. Allerdings für den Preis von fast 23,-€ passt die Relation definitiv nicht, daher auch nur die 2**.

Die Fritten sind der Hammer und von der grossen Portion werden auch zwei Leute satt. Der Burger ist lecker,aber man muss damit rechnen,dass bis auf das Patty alles eher kühl ist. Schmeckt trotzdem gut.

Sehr truly American 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Das Essen ist wirklich super aber leider ist es oft recht rege und laut.. anders kann man das im Stadtzentrum des schönen städtchens Essen aber auch nicht erwarten 🥴 🫣 Gratis Drink Refills und knusprig leckere Pommes müssen immer mit und machen den kleinen fastfood laden wirklich immer wieder zu einem tollen Erlebnis ☺️🥳

Dieser Laden ist weit mehr zu empfehlen als das Five Guys Restaurant im Centro Oberhausen, hier sind die Fries wenigstens knusprig und nicht so labberig

In Essen, the restaurant is conveniently located in a shopping centre with ample place to sit and eat. The service is really quick and personnel is always friendly. I think it's the best burger restaurant in Essen.

Wir hatten einen Burger uns ein Sandwich. Wir haben zuerst einen falschen Burger bekommen. Man hat uns angeboten die fehlenden Zutaten dazwischen zu packen oder einen neuen Burger zu nehmen. Da es unter anderem Bacon war haben wir uns für einen neuen Burger entschlossen. Als Entschuldigung gab es Pommes. Allerdings hatten wir bereits Pommes sodass wir diese gar nicht essen konnten. Die weitere Speise war ein Sandwich. Allerdings war es etwas anderes als erwartet Ich bekam quasi einen Burger ohne Fleisch. Für den Preis den wir bezahlt haben, haben wir in anderen Burgergeschäften schon viel Besser gegessen. Für einen Burger, ein Sandwich, eine Pommes und ein Getränk haben wir fast 30€ bezahlt... Es gibt auch keine Menü Angebote. Wir werden hier wohl nicht noch einmal essen.

Einer der besten Burger den ich in den letzten Jahren gegessen habe. Keine Ahnung warum sich so viele über den Preis aufregen. Der Burger schmeckt vielfach besser als der von Traumkuh, Hans im Glück oder anderen Burgerbuden die gut und gerne 20 Euro für einen Snack aufrufen. 12 Euro sind da vollkommen in Ordnung.

Unsere ersten Five guys. Die Burger sind alle durch gebraten und nicht saftig, aber ok. Die Pommes sind klein und die Milchshakes sind ausgezeichnet. Das Essen braucht lange, bis es fertig ist und das ganze Lokal wirkt "sparsam". Von der Verpackung der Burger bis hin zur Dekoration des Restaurants. Good burgers, every time. The selection is great and the taste far exceeds most other fast food burger chains you've probably heard of before. The milkshakes are really excellent but I would recommend you get a soft drink as well, they're thick and very sweet. The fries are good, they normally throw a few extra in the bag, so you don't need to order many. In this restaurant you get actual fries, rather than the lattice fries you get in the UK.

sehr nettes personal, nachdem wir unser essen stornieren mussten, weil wir zu spät gelesen hatten, dass erdnuss öl zum frittieren benutzt wird, waren die mitarbeitenden sehr freundlich. wir haben das geld zurück bekommen und eine portion pommes geschenkt! super freundlich :D

Ein Veggisandwich einen Hamburger und zwei Portionen Fritten für 39.95€. Teures Essen, welches nicht mal gut war. Dazu brüllende Musik. Nie wieder...

Oh Mann. Zuerst das positive. Alles frisch zubereitet. Die Pommes gut. Der Burger sehr lecker. Die Getränke Automat eine super Idee. Ein motiviertes Team, sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Jetzt das negative. Alles SEHR TEUER. Ja ja. Die frischen Zutaten rechtfertigen den Preis. Wer saftige Burger mag wird seinen Spaß haben. Und die nächsten Generationen werden auch die Preise akzeptieren.

Ik wilde het een keer geprobeerd hebben. Maar persoonlijk snap ik de hype hierom niet. De cheeseburger was wel ok, en op zich vrij groot. Alleen het broodje was nog lichtelijk bevroren jammer genoeg. Dit broodje valt trouwens enorm uit elkaar, dus dames dit kan je niet netjes eten 😅😂 De friet was wel lekker, alleen erg zout. Het is ook wel fijn dat je zelf je saus mag halen en je frisdrank gratis opnieuw mag vullen. Alleen voor mij is het niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt. €11.40 voor een cheeseburger 🍔 €4.50 voor patat 🍟 €4.- voor frisdrank 🥤

The food was fine, but not great, even by Five Guys standards. The burger was a little overcooked and the fries weren't as crispy as I would have expected. The big issue I had was that while fully staffed and not during a big rush, it still took twenty minutes to get our food out and more than half the drink options on both machines were not available. If you are in the Limbecker Plaza and need to eat, it's a fine option. But not great, especially for the price.

Best Burger In Town - yes! Dirtiest Restaurant at Limbecker Platz - yes! Während 1,5 Stunden Aufenthalt und trotz Rückfrage bei einem der 7 aktiven Mitarbeiter hinter der Theke wurde nicht einmal ein Tisch abgeputzt oder aber der Müll entleert. Vom Wassersee vor den Getränkeautomaten inkl. klitschnassem Teppich ganz zu schweigen. Aber ja, die Burger und Fritten waren sehr lecker und das Personal grds. freundlich!
