Really enjoyed my first visit, staff was very friendly, food was very nice, and a noisy but nice atmosphere, will definitely be revisiting.

We had chosen Fitscheshof to cycle to. It was definitely worth the trip! The asparagus soup was freshly made and very filling. Delicious! We had also ordered crispy garlic bread. We thought we would get a kind of baguette with herb butter but we got a wafer-thin crust with garlic oil and herbs on it. That was surprisingly tasty. Especially the aioli that was served with it made it even tastier. And this was also a full bowl. We were glad that we had only ordered 1 portion of this. The food, the cake and the ice creams that were served around us all looked very good and invited us to come back and try it out.

Hello, We arrived at the restaurant (garden) at 11:55 a.m. and were ignored for 20 minutes until one of us went to ask. The waitress said (in a rather unfriendly tone) that they couldn't bring us the menus until 12:30 p.m. So we waited!! We got our cards at around 12:30 p.m. We then ordered at 12:35 p.m.!! However, we weren't told that you could order a salt plate with your schnitzel dishes at the salad bar. We only discovered this after asking during our meal. The food was okay, but it didn't blow us away. To finish off, we wanted to order a cake! We had to go inside, choose the cake we wanted, and order it outside. We found that all a bit complicated, but whatever!! We also ordered more drinks, which didn't arrive until after we'd finished the cake. The waitress told us that the cake was still a bit cold because it was frozen! Otherwise, it was delicious. We had to wait again to pay because the card machine only accepts cards that can be inserted into the card slot, so they had to charge the other machine first. Overall, the food there is actually quite good, but we find it a bit disorganized. For example, one waitress walked around with a Coke for about 10 minutes because she couldn't find the person she was serving. The staff isn't particularly polite, and the outside area is a bit run down. We wouldn't come back just because of the wait time. We don't think the prices are reasonable.

We were very surprised by this natural setting. The food is seasonal, and there's a daily special. The drinks arrived very quickly, and the food was also lovingly prepared and served within the usual timeframe.

If you are moved by the supplier for a daily special for more than two weeks, you may want to consider changing the daily special. Simply to retain guests who make the journey to the Fitscheshof because of the offer of the day. (If desired at all!?!) Even a purely excursion restaurant should meet certain expectations/requirements; because it lives from recommendations; - ) Thank you for the kind recommendation. My priority on my three-week annual vacation on the Lower Rhine is to find recommended restaurants. The Fitscheshof is definitely not one of them with such communication. With kind regards... oh yes, "Those who are angry pay for other people's mistakes", I feel at most pity for restaurants whose service ended in the "90s". Despite everything, I wish you good luck for an unusual establishment.

We were there today with 14 people for the breakfast buffet and it was simply amazing... everyone was thrilled.. We will definitely come back... The buffet was awesome. Everything was always freshly refilled, incredibly tasty and very friendly staff.. We would also be there at the next asparagus buffet ☀️👏🏼❤️

Unfortunately, the asparagus buffet does not justify the price! The follow-up service for refills was very weak, the schnitzel unfortunately tasted off! It wasn't our first time there and unfortunately we were very disappointed!

We were at Fitsches Hof for breakfast on Shrove Monday and are still thrilled with it. A very large selection, everything you can imagine. It was constantly being refilled. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would be happy to come back!

Super nice service, delicious food. What more could you want? We have already hosted a few family celebrations here. Relaxing for adults and a highlight for children thanks to the beautiful playground. We have never been disappointed with either the food or the service! Keep it up!

We have reserved the breakfast buffet for 6 people. Including a four-year-old child. One person had to cancel at short notice due to illness. We had to pay €10.90 for the child...The person who didn't show up had to pay €22.90 in full!!! In my opinion, completely brazen and absolutely inappropriate!!! Was there last time, nothing like that works!!!

The restaurant is a bit hidden. But it's very quaint. A large beer garden is in front of the door. It's very comfortable to sit there. The staff are friendly and attentive. My dog ​​was also welcome. I ordered a schnitzel. The portion was really big. Even though it was delicious, I didn't quite manage to finish it. You could choose from different varieties at the salad buffet. If I were from nearby, I would probably eat there more often!

Delicious food, friendly service. Vegetarians and vegans get their money's worth here, as they haven't had this much choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes for a long time. The outdoor area offers great play opportunities for children.

On a bike tour from Kempen to Wachtendonk we were recommended the Fitscheshof - looking for good food in the sun - so we spontaneously went there. Despite the mediocre sun and cold, there were a lot of guests there, which alone speaks for the good quality. And what should we say: - sensational food, large portions and above all first-class quality - real nice diverse menu - 1a service with a feel-good factor, totally relaxed atmosphere - Enough space to park the bikes including loading option A real insider tip for us and we will definitely come back more often now. Absolutely recommended.

Great team and the food was delicious even though I didn't manage to eat

Unfortunately, the sign in front of the restaurant is an indication of what to expect. It's not the food but the service and the way we treat the guests that even spoiled our appetite, so we ordered but didn't eat after we had several discussions from three employees (service, kitchen and operator). What makes good service? I worked in the catering industry myself and in everyday interactions with other people it is the tone that makes the music and the way you talk that either solves problems or spoils your appetite. It's a shame - would never come back. And I'm looking forward to the restaurant's comment, because as you can see, they don't skimp on insults here either 😂

The schnitzel tastes good, but nothing special. The starter salad is a bit different, more based on pickles like beans, beetroot... simple ambience - cold rather than warm inside in winter. The approach is confusing - dead ends and only for residents.

Schnitzel overkill 😄 We (family of 3) were guests here today. We each ordered a different type of schnitzel. Anyone who has something to complain about here has only themselves to blame. In terms of quantity, this is really unusual here. For around 20 € you get huge portions. There are almost 400 g of meat on the plate. That's almost impossible to do because there are also side dishes.😁 But the friendly waitresses are happy to pack up the leftovers for later. All in all, highly recommended, also as a place to go by bike.

We were there with 3 couples on February 14th. eat here. The condition was very friendly, quick and accommodating. The food came together for everyone so that. We could also eat together. No one at the table was disappointed. The dishes were rich and delicious. We decided together that it wouldn't be the last time.

Absolutely no way!!! Impossible service, first the schnitzel was delivered incorrectly, then raw mushrooms in the sauce and then being insulted loudly because you wanted to share the schnitzel!! Wow and this is 2025. Plus the salad is completely acidic.

Last Saturday we celebrated a birthday breakfast with a group of 30 people at the Fitscheshof in Wachtendonk and we were thrilled. From the first contact to the farewell, the service was first class. The staff was attentive, friendly and always tried to fulfill all our wishes. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired: a rich selection of fresh rolls, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and warm dishes ensured that everyone got their money's worth. Particularly noteworthy are the homemade specialties, which were prepared with great attention to detail. The atmosphere at Fitscheshof is cozy and inviting. The rural surroundings and the loving decoration made us feel completely comfortable. There are also plenty of play opportunities for children, which is ideal for family trips. We would like to thank the entire Fitscheshof team for this successful morning and can warmly recommend this café-restaurant.

Unfortunately I can't recommend the food. The schnitzel was far too thick and the meat couldn't be seen because of all the breading. The color of the pseudoflesh was pink. That would be normal according to the waiter. It's a shame the breakfast buffet and the salads are really recommended. Unfortunately, schnitzel never again.

We were there yesterday for a breakfast buffet as part of a birthday party. Getting there is hardly possible (at least the first time) without a navigation system, the restaurant is very remote, at the end of a cul-de-sac. In the warm season you can sit outside on a spacious terrace, there is a well-equipped playground for children and plenty of parking spaces. In my opinion, the buffet is hard to beat, there really is nothing left to be desired, it was replenished as soon as something ran low. The staff is super nice, friendly and accommodating, which has become rare these days. 2 existing toilet facilities are in tip top shape. We will definitely be back soon, the table is already reserved. See you soon!

I recently went to this schnitzel restaurant and my expectations were only partially met. Unfortunately, the schnitzel I ordered was too thick and didn't particularly taste good. Unfortunately, the breading wasn't very crispy either, but overall the dish lacked the right kick. The service was friendly and attentive, but I had to wait a long time for my food. It seemed like the guests after us were served quicker, which was a bit frustrating. Overall it was an average visit. The wheel has not been reinvented here.

Today we went to the schnitzel buffet with 7 people. There was a short speech beforehand. The atmosphere is good, it feels very familiar. The service was excellent. The food was consistently great. There was nothing that didn't at least taste very good, and we all tried everything together 😊 Everything is just right here and we will definitely come back again.

Unfortunately, the Fitscheshof failed for us. Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. The sauce for the schnitzels - we had a pepper cream sauce and a mushroom cream sauce - was a cheap roux with musty peppercorns. The mushrooms were fresh. Since the sauces weren't tasty, we ordered hollandaise. In fact, it wasn't homemade but from a well-known brand of hollandaise sauces. At least you knew what you were getting. The schnitzels were tender, but much too thick for schnitzels and not pounded. Unfortunately, the breading was fried in old oil, which is why there were many burnt parts of the breading. The portion sizes are huge. I think everyone gets enough here. The service was very attentive and courteous. We were there on a Sunday evening. Maybe that had a lot to do with it - but it still can't be excused. The outdoor area is great for children. They can let off steam and play there. So it's ok to go for a beer after cycling. But nothing more.

Everyone was friendly, accommodating, the food was very tasty and there was no problem even with an order from 27 people. Everything was served at the same time and hot. Even after a question about whether it was possible to get a parking space at the front for a paralyzed person, the boss unfortunately provided her parking space I neglected to take a picture of the amazing food, but I'll do it again because we'll be happy to stop there again. Wir waren alle völlig begeistert und die Portionen waren riesig.Die Qualität des Essens ist top und der Service war sehr aufmerksam.Die Kinder bekamen zusätzlich eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit.Das essen kam gleichzeitig und so konnten wir alle gemeinsam zusammen essen (11 Personen),dass nicht überall so üblich. Man fühlte sich einfach nur wohl und die Preise sind noch erschwinglich. Danke nochmal und wir waren nicht das letzte Mal zum Essen da;-))))

Nie wieder 😢das Schnitzel schmeckte nach nichts, die Panade war grauenvoll, die Pfeffersauce war wie Pudding. Das zweite Gericht war noch schlechter. Es sollte Schweinebraten in Senfsauce sein. Es kamen zwei dicke, sehr trockene Stücke Fleisch in einer schwarzen Pampe die auf Öl schwamm. Echt nicht lecker, schade. Und auf dieses „Essen „ haben wir 60 Minuten gewartet. Wie gesagt….. nie wieder. Als Entschuldigung bot man uns einen Kaffee an.

Everyone enjoyed the food and the portions were more than enough. The nice thing is...that you can take paper plates there and pack everything to take away yourself...because there will definitely be something left over...and it tastes delicious even warmed up at home...🤤🥰 And the location is perfect for families with small children...outside they have a super nice playground where there is something for everyone...🤩❤️🌻

Beautiful farm cafe in a rural setting. Plus: very good food, delicious cakes and large pieces, nice interior, nice service, reasonable, good prices. Pro: open at lunchtime and weekly menu with daily specials. Top!!! Schnitzel day on Tuesday, fish on offer on Friday! Every day there is a different dish, which is offered inexpensively. Beautifully designed outside. Large, separate children's playground available. Overall very quiet, rural and cozy. Ample parking spaces. Cyclists are welcome.

Wow, just wow. A small, idyllic restaurant that is a bit remote, but definitely worth the journey there. Even for smaller children, as there is a playground outside when the weather is good. Two days ago we decided at short notice to have breakfast at the Fitscheshof today. (We became aware of this through Facebook) The 30km journey was more than worth it. We have never seen such a huge selection of different types of bread and rolls, and the selection of cereals, cold cuts, eggs, meat salad, asparagus salad, salmon and much, much more are mega and incredibly tasty. There is such a large selection that it was briefly overwhelming. Coffee, cocoa and ojuice were included in the price. The rooms are comfortable and also suitable for people who use a walker, as everything is barrier-free. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. We'll be heading to Fitscheshof for dinner in the near future, because if it's even half as good as breakfast, we'll be more than satisfied.
