Fischrestaurant Arielle in Werder (Havel)

Wollten einfach nur ein Brötchen mit geräucherte Fisch im SB essen. Auf der Tafel wurden Aalbrötchen und auch Heilbuttbrötchen angeboten. Auf unserer Nachfrage hieß es es gebe sie nicht, ich könnte aber einen ganzen oder halben Aal kaufen. Dasselbe mit Heilbutt, Brötchen damit gibt es nicht, obwohl er in der Auslage lag. Fazit, es gab Rotbarsch geräucherte oder Lachs. Wir entscheiden uns für Rotbarsch. Schlechte Entscheidung, absolut trocken. Das ganze für 2 Brötchen 12 Euro. Essen wir bei der Nordsee besser. Nicht zu empfehlen, reiner Kommerz. Hat nichts mit frischen Fisch am Wasser zu tun.

Schade, dass eine schlechtere Bewertung als ungenügend nicht möglich ist. Wir mussten den Imbiss nehmen. Unfähiges, unwilliges und sehr unfreundliches Personal. An der Selbstbedienung wusste die Tresenkraft nicht mal, wie das Kartengerät funktioniert. Dann soll man noch Trinkgeld geben für die Annahme der Bestellung und der Bezahlung, wofür??? Der Backfisch triefte nur so von Fett. Die Panade hat das Fett wie ein Schwamm aufgesogen. Das Fett war wahrscheinlich beim Frittieren einfach nicht heiß genug. Aber jetzt das größte Problem: Die Mayo hatte ganz eindeutig einen Stich, was natürlich vom Personal vehement bestritten wurde. Als wir gingen, konnten wir aber eigenartigerweise beobachten, wie die Mayo ausgetauscht wurde. Schlechtes Gewissen? Fazit: Wir gehen nicht nur nicht wieder hin, nein wir können nur dringend abraten.

Wir waren mit 4 Personen zum Essen in dem Restaurant. Das Essen kam zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten. In einer Speise wurde leider eine tote Fliege gefunden. Die Servicekraft nahm das Essen mit einem Murren zurück und brachte nach 2 Minuten einen neuen Teller ohne ein Wort der Entschuldigung. Außerdem fehlte Besteck, dieses wurde ebenfalls mit einem bösen Blick auf den Tisch gelegt. Fehlende Servietten mussten wir uns selbst besorgen. Das Essen war grundsätzlich in Ordnung, aber die Bedienung war wirklich sehr schlecht. Fehlendes Wissen wurde mit Unfreundlichkeit überspielt. Noe wieder werden wir hier Essen gehen. Es kann mal etwas schief laufen, aber sowas geht gar nicht.

We accidentally entered the terrace through a locked entrance. We were on the terrace when the unfriendly waitress, apparently as a form of discipline, demanded that we leave the terrace through the locked entrance and re-enter through the correct entrance. A friendly reminder to use the correct entrance next time would have persuaded us to stay. Fortunately, this incredibly stupid move led us to find another restaurant where we had an excellent meal. That's exactly how you scare away customers!

Great fish sandwiches and fish dishes, a great drinks counter with a wide selection, and good service. Oh, and a great location!

Very disappointing. The food wasn't tasty. The tables were dirty, and the staff had to be alerted. Tablecloths would have been great. Overall, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Given this location, more could be done.

The restaurant right on the water is definitely worth a visit. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. The atmosphere is a delight when the sun is shining and there's no wind. I can't say anything about the hotel; we only ate there.

Wir sind 8 Freundinnen aus Werder, die auf der Terrasse gemeinsam einen netten Abend verbringen wollten. Um 18.00 war der Imbissbereich bereits geschlossen. Sehr schade. Auf unsere Frage, ob wir dann im Restaurant essen können, entgegnete die äußerst unfreundliche Bedienung, dass die Küche bereits geschlossen hätte der offiziellen Öffnungszeiten bis 20.00 !!! Als wir um 19.00 gingen, saßen draußen im überdachten Bereich mehrere Gäste, die nach uns kamen und ihre Gerichte aus der Küche gegessen haben. Mit derart schlechtem Service macht sich Arielle keine Freunde !!!

The restaurant is a bit difficult to find, as there are hardly any signs. However, it's beautifully located right on the water. The food is tasty, although the fries were a bit soggy.

I suspect the restaurant staff don't feel like working, you can forget about serving Arielle.

The food was good, the service consisted partly of temporary staff, our order only came partially or after repeated requests - in a well-filled restaurant that's problematic.

We ate at Arielle's for the first time in a while and discovered that the restaurant hasn't improved (since the change of ownership?). The dining room feels unloved and dark. Neither the candles on the table were lit, nor did the staff attempt to create a sense of atmosphere. The young ladies were generally nice, but not particularly professional (both in their appearance (wearing hoodies) and in their attentiveness). The food was very simple for the price. You shouldn't expect plaice or anything similar at this fish restaurant. Highly recommended for a Bismarck roll by the water, but we wouldn't go back to the restaurant.

Nice location right on the water. The food was tasty and with a good selection. There is something for every taste. The prices are fair. The service is friendly. A meal came a little later, but there was compensation in the form of drinks. I can recommend the restaurant.

We went there on Sunday, May 4th in connection with visiting the tree blossom festival. The food we ordered was impressive in terms of quality. However, the service staff could have been a little friendlier. The restaurant impresses with its wonderful location directly on the Havel. The outside terrace will also be interesting for me on warm summer nights.

Not recommended.. Had to run to the toilet on site.... and the seats we wanted were not given to us because "possibly" guests with bigger pots would have deserved the premium seats. It's just that none of them came. It's a shame...

When we come to Werder, we always visit this restaurant. Very tasty smoked fish. we love to be located in the veranda area on the water. Wenn wir nach Werder kommen, besuchen wir immer dieses Restaurant. Sehr leckerer Räucherfisch. Wir lieben es, im Verandabereich am Wasser zu sein.

We wanted to eat there today, but the waitress was so unfriendly and xenophobic that we no longer had any need. I've never experienced anything like that

We had reserved a table in the restaurant for 6:30 p.m. The good news and the reason for one star: The food was delicious. Everything else was bad. In all seriousness, the staff didn't want to let us sit inside the restaurant, but we should stay outside on the terrace. The sun was gone and it was far too cold to sit outside for any length of time. And there was no one in the restaurant. Even after us, guests were “banned” from sitting inside. However, we insisted on sitting inside, which we were then allowed to do, quote: "Exceptionally". The restaurant wasn't heated either, the door was open and no one cared. I ate cheese spaetzle, which were delicious, with the fish knife that was lying around on our table. There were no napkins. Because they weren't already lying around on the table. Our conclusion: During the day it is definitely nice to have a quick bite to eat and drink there, for example as a day tourist coming by ship. But in the evening the restaurant is a disaster. It seems as if the operators and staff simply don't feel like taking care of the restaurant in the evening, but are happy when it's finally over and there aren't any more annoying guests who want to sit inside and maybe even have to clean up afterwards. I can understand it, but then perhaps reservations and guests in the evening should simply not be accepted.

Very nice location, delicious food, attentive staff… everything is perfect here. The view of the Havel from the cozy terrace is great.

Disappointed, we completely forgot when the food came after 50 minutes, the cod was totally dry, the pike perch was good and the lemon sauce wasn't ours at all. Great for fish sandwiches outside on the terrace, toilet wasn't clean either. It's a shame, it used to be great here.

I liked it here. There is, among other things, a fish sandwich counter and a wonderful terrace right on the water with lots of simple seating. It's a really nice destination! Everything is well maintained. There are a few free parking spaces, but they are narrow and difficult to navigate on an incline. So I would prefer to come here by bike or on foot.

We were there today as a holiday program and what can I say, it was great. 1.) almost the only location that was open at lunchtime and 2.) our little snack was very tasty. Thank you! Very happy again.

Good Friday for a fish dinner in Werder. The fried fish with warm potato salad was very tasty and so was the pike perch. Highly recommended. Friendly, nice staff. A successful trip.

Unterirdisch. Die Fischboulette wurde aus der Familienpackung 10 min im fittenöl schwarz gebraten und ungefragt mit Remoulade im Gummiartigem Brötchen serviert. Völlig hart und schwarz und nach Fett triefend bekam ich dann nach dem dritten Anlauf mein Geld wieder. Erst 4.30 dann 5.30 und zum Schluss den richtigen Preis 5.50€. Nach 10 Jahren stetigen Preisanstieg und Nachlass an Services und Qualität komme ich nun nie mehr wieder. Auch die Frage nach Trinkgeld im SB Bereich nach 15 min warten ohne Personal bei Getränken ist unglaublich.

Super tasty food and generous portions. I thought it was too expensive but it's worth it. Friendly staff as well. There's parking for clients as well.

Had lunch with my wife and both our portions were amazing. Fish was fresh and the potato salad was home made and super fresh with pickles and none of that terrible German majonese. Good Veggies as well. Nice one, we come back.

Price too high for the amount on the plate, unfortunately the potato rösti wasn't crispy and freshly prepared and that for 16.90...hmmm. Ambiance and service 👍

We spontaneously drove to Werder during the week when the weather was nice and discovered this restaurant. The location is right on the water with self-service in the beer garden. We chose the restaurant and had a very nice, attentive waiter at the table. The fish could have been a little spicier can, side dishes were good.

We visit this restaurant often and enjoy the island terraces. Unfortunately, the very rising prices are not appropriate, as already mentioned several times in the previous reviews... simply too expensive for this snack bar. The price/performance ratio is not justified. The location and surroundings of the island of Werder are really fantastic and invite you to take a walk and relax.

The restaurant undoubtedly impresses with its exceptional cuisine that knows how to delight even the most demanding palate. The dishes are handcrafted to a solid standard, the flavors are deliciously balanced and products are presented with a clear understanding of local dishes and depth of taste. Unfortunately, the excellent taste of the dishes stands in stark contrast to the disastrous service, which casts an almost unbearable shadow over the overall experience. The waiting times for the ordered food and drinks far exceeded what was reasonable - over 45 minutes passed before even the first drinks were served. This unacceptable delay was accompanied not only by unfriendly and obviously overwhelmed staff, but also by a blatant inability to adequately communicate with guests. There was a lack of basic hospitality and any requests were treated with obvious reluctance. The service left the impression of complete helplessness in the face of the situation, leaving the guest feeling like a nuisance rather than a valued customer. It is unfortunate that a restaurant with such first-class cuisine fails so badly when it comes to service and professionalism.

A restaurant in a great location. Unfortunately not really great. The fish stand does have fish sandwiches, but the selection is clear. The fries, at least the sweet potato fries, were expensive and actually just sticky. Unfortunately I can't make a recommendation here, the location could definitely do more...

We have been returning guests to the fish stand for many years. Yesterday we were disappointed by the increase in the price of fish sandwiches. Demanding €5 for a banal Bismark roll is outrageous. The taste was good but nothing special. Charging €7.50 for a ready-made fish bought wholesale is also not justified. A trip to Werder is no longer worth it for us. Here you make profit from the location of the snack bar.

Were here privately today for a few beers and fish sandwiches.. good view, a bit rough wind but lots of sun. Card payment possible and staff were nice too. I can recommend the salmon roll to strengthen you, but any fish would be good here.

We have BEEN customers at Ariel for decades! Since the time of the worst pandemic ever, the quality and service of the previous operator has declined significantly. This applies to service as well as the food. Now we were there again and visited the restaurant under the direction of the new operator. What should I write? Two hipsters who want to cash in. We now say goodbye to this restaurant and wish... Bye Bye.

Everything has changed since Arijel started new catering. Poor communication, not a large selection of smoked fish. Eel is offered but there is none. There is no one who can dissect the eel. It's a shame, we were always happy to come. I hope they work on it, it would be a shame for the fish snack bar. Sa.u.Pe. from Spandau.

We were there by boat on September 9, 2024. The jetty is strewn with coarse gravel and this dirty the boat. We were only able to use self-service because the restaurant was closed at 2 p.m.

Always a nice place, v. a. in the week without (too) many lines... Prices have unfortunately increased more: overall 4 stars

Restaurant Inselterrassen Arielle (full-service restaurant; Aug. 24) Nicely located on the Havel with a view of the water, good smoked fish, small menu, not great cuisine.

Restaurant rating. Free parking directly on the way to the restaurant. With a beautiful view of the water, you can choose self-service or a restaurant. We took the latter. Eating took a while, which was due to the high number of guests on Sunday. The taste was good and the portion was sufficient.

Nice excursion restaurant with delicious fish recipes

We have been guests for many years in the beautifully located fish restaurant 'Arielle'. However, until last Wednesday, i.e. September 4th, 2024 only in the months of December, January and March, i.e. in the restaurant on the upper floor. We were very satisfied there, even though the prices have increased this year, the price-performance ratio was still within reason. The atmosphere and the staff were always friendly in this restaurant upstairs! Based on this experience, we invited our guests from the Ruhr area to Arielle on Wednesday and ordered a table for 4 people by telephone. We got a table at the very edge. Since it was very windy that day, which made it uncomfortable, I asked if we could sit at another free table. The cute answer: "That's not possible, we have to clean it first and it's way too loud!" ?????? I wondered where, because we weren't in a closed room, but under a beer tent roof! My conclusion about this visit: the staff, especially the "waitress" seemed to us like an untrained, overwhelmed and abandoned temporary worker who was apparently supposed to train a young man who was not interested in the drinks (perhaps coke and beer excepted) or by I had absolutely no idea about the food or what a waiter was wearing. The drinks and food came after what felt like an eternity. And they were carelessly prepared and there was little fish and some of it was half raw!! Since I read a lot of negative reviews about this fish restaurant from March to September, which wrote about the same or similar experiences in the summer, we will only eat in the restaurant on the upper floor again in the winter months, hoping that Then it will be the same again as it was during our last visit at the beginning of March 2024!

Nice snack bar by the water, prices still ok, quality and taste are average. The best thing is the location by the water on the floating pontoon. There is self-service and self-clearing. Matjes roll 5 euros.

We were only there for a small snack. Everything is fine and nice service at the tap and deep fryer. Attractive ambience on the lakeside terrace, especially in the evenings. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back!

A very nice corner in Werder... I can't say anything about the hotel operation. We were guests in the restaurant. Food, service, service and ambience were very nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Great location right on the lake - that gives you that holiday feeling! There is a seafood restaurant and a self-service counter. Nice crew! If you don't eat fish, you'll have to resort to fries and ice cream. I would have liked more choice

Beautifully located restaurant right on the water. The fish there tastes extremely good. Even small requests for changes are received without any problems. The menu is clear. However, the price is a bit high.

Delicious fish food, good drinks and very attentive service. The view of the Havel is magnificent. You feel in good hands here. P.s. Docking by boat is also no problem.

Have been here several times in the last few years. However, the fish only consists of non-regional finished products. Unfortunately the taste is getting worse and worse. There is also no longer any white wine from regional production (Werder is a wine-growing region). The restaurant has a lot of potential which unfortunately falls by the wayside.

This is my third time here. The location is perfect and so are the fruit wines. In any case, there used to be fish from “Here” and not just fried fish or smoked fish. It has degenerated into a snack bar below North Sea standards. The only fried fish on offer doesn't even come from here. Fully sustainable and regional*Irony off* A little tartar sauce, etc. How can such good location potential be wasted due to such subterranean offerings and lack of service?

Very well laid out restaurant with a beautiful view of the Havel. The food was really delicious and plentiful. The waiters would have to better coordinate who has what job, but they are very friendly and quick. Come back very soon ;-)

Der Geräucherte Fisch ist je nach Sorte mal mehr und mal weniger gut. Die Pommes sind eher mittelmäßig. Das Beste an dem Restaurant ist die Lage am See.

Nicely located on the shore area, with a wonderful view of the lake. An ideal stopover on a bike tour, here you can get your calorie balance right with a drink or meal of your choice. I recommend the strawberry punch 😁😁😁

What's wrong with Ariel???? Such a beautiful location but the food is a disaster. We were always satisfied back then. Great, you should send it back. Potato salad is really old. Etc. And not cheap. SHAME.

Noch nie bin ich von einer Servicekraft so unfreundlich und schnippisch bedient worden. Dann mussten wir fast 1 1/2 Stunden auf‘s mäßige Essen warten - das war keine gute Entscheidung in dieses Restaurant zu gehen.

During the week during the day...not much going on...and not inviting...

Leider muss ich mich den negativen Bewertungen aus letzter Zeit anschließen. Wir waren immer sehr gerne dort am Wochenende um ein Fischbrötchen zu essen. Das letzte Mal hat es uns die Sprache verschlagen. Die Preise für die Fischbrötchen sind schon erheblich gestiegen in letzter Zeit, die Qualität hält leider nicht mit. Die Brötchen sind Aufbackbrötchen, nicht aufgebacken, pappig und blass. Ich hatte nachgefragt warum die Brötchen denn nicht aufgebacken werden? Die Antwort war: Wenn ich aufgebackene Brötchen möchte, sollte ich doch zum Bäcker gehen. Und wegen einer Person würden Sie doch nicht die Brötchen aufbacken. Das ist eine Unverschämtheit. Mit der neuen Bewirtschaftung hat alles nachgelassen. Man wollte das Geschäft mit dem Fischimbiss ohnehin aufgeben. Da sind Sie jetzt auf dem besten Weg. Für uns der letzte Besuch bei Arielle.

I can only agree with all the disappointed guests. You arrive as a guest and are ignored even though there was nothing going on. At the service restaurant, a table with staff in a convivial atmosphere and some drinks, felt comfortable. The orders were processed incorrectly at the neighboring tables. The price level and the staff and their service definitely don't fit. We were very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back. And what happened as we walked past the staff table could only be the result of the empty glasses. The location of the restaurant is great and the food was tasty, the rest was disappointing.

The location of the restaurant is fantastic. We are not transient holidaymakers but come from Groß Kreutz and I was here with three friends. However, the service and the quality of the food still leaves a lot of room for improvement. I ordered schnitzel with fries and a side salad. I was so disappointed with the quality of the food. Yes, I know it's a Fsch restaurant, but you should still get the fries crispy. That wasn't the case here. The schnitzel was fried. I can understand this in a snack bar, but it doesn't work at all in a restaurant. And that for €21.50. The side salad that I had to order separately and cost extra, as it wasn't part of the dish, was without dressing, neither oil nor vinegar. The waiter didn't ask afterwards whether we liked it. He definitely knew why. Apparently criticism is not welcome. The plates were still on the table thirty minutes after eating (the wasps were still enjoying the leftovers). Only after asking for the plates to be cleared did the waiter finally come. And the invoice was issued correctly for me but not for two of my companions. If I order Hugo, it can't be that Aperol is included as a drink on the bill. Likewise with the fish, Steinbeisser was ordered and it was probably out, a new order was zander fillet and the bill was then for Steinbeisser. When we complained about this, the answer was that the piece of zander fillet was a little bigger. I felt the answer was incorrect. But the waiter just shrugged his shoulders. I will definitely never visit this restaurant again and will no longer recommend it.

Nice restaurant with huge outdoor lighting, partly floating on pontoons. Self-service with quick processing, good fish, good side dishes. The drinks bar leaves nothing to be desired, a huge selection, even coffee drinkers and cake lovers will get their money's worth. Perfect organization.
