Ariel 🧜‍♀️ had today off 😅 and yet we were spoiled deliciously. Thank you very much

The fish sandwiches are carelessly topped and expensive! We like to sit on the water and enjoy the weather.

I was there for food and drinks only. Very enjoyable!

We visit this restaurant often and enjoy the island terraces. Unfortunately, the very rising prices are not appropriate, as already mentioned several times in the previous reviews... simply too expensive for this snack bar. The price/performance ratio is not justified. The location and surroundings of the island of Werder are really fantastic and invite you to take a walk and relax.

The restaurant undoubtedly impresses with its exceptional cuisine that knows how to delight even the most demanding palate. The dishes are handcrafted to a solid standard, the flavors are deliciously balanced and products are presented with a clear understanding of local dishes and depth of taste. Unfortunately, the excellent taste of the dishes stands in stark contrast to the disastrous service, which casts an almost unbearable shadow over the overall experience. The waiting times for the ordered food and drinks far exceeded what was reasonable - over 45 minutes passed before even the first drinks were served. This unacceptable delay was accompanied not only by unfriendly and obviously overwhelmed staff, but also by a blatant inability to adequately communicate with guests. There was a lack of basic hospitality and any requests were treated with obvious reluctance. The service left the impression of complete helplessness in the face of the situation, leaving the guest feeling like a nuisance rather than a valued customer. It is unfortunate that a restaurant with such first-class cuisine fails so badly when it comes to service and professionalism.

A restaurant in a great location. Unfortunately not really great. The fish stand does have fish sandwiches, but the selection is clear. The fries, at least the sweet potato fries, were expensive and actually just sticky. Unfortunately I can't make a recommendation here, the location could definitely do more...

We have been returning guests to the fish stand for many years. Yesterday we were disappointed by the increase in the price of fish sandwiches. Demanding €5 for a banal Bismark roll is outrageous. The taste was good but nothing special. Charging €7.50 for a ready-made fish bought wholesale is also not justified. A trip to Werder is no longer worth it for us. Here you make profit from the location of the snack bar.

Were here privately today for a few beers and fish sandwiches.. good view, a bit rough wind but lots of sun. Card payment possible and staff were nice too. I can recommend the salmon roll to strengthen you, but any fish would be good here.

We have BEEN customers at Ariel for decades! Since the time of the worst pandemic ever, the quality and service of the previous operator has declined significantly. This applies to service as well as the food. Now we were there again and visited the restaurant under the direction of the new operator. What should I write? Two hipsters who want to cash in. We now say goodbye to this restaurant and wish... Bye Bye.

Everything has changed since Arijel started new catering. Poor communication, not a large selection of smoked fish. Eel is offered but there is none. There is no one who can dissect the eel. It's a shame, we were always happy to come. I hope they work on it, it would be a shame for the fish snack bar. Sa.u.Pe. from Spandau.

We were there by boat on September 9, 2024. The jetty is strewn with coarse gravel and this dirty the boat. We were only able to use self-service because the restaurant was closed at 2 p.m.

We have been guests for many years in the beautifully located fish restaurant 'Arielle'. However, until last Wednesday, i.e. September 4th, 2024 only in the months of December, January and March, i.e. in the restaurant on the upper floor. We were very satisfied there, even though the prices have increased this year, the price-performance ratio was still within reason. The atmosphere and the staff were always friendly in this restaurant upstairs! Based on this experience, we invited our guests from the Ruhr area to Arielle on Wednesday and ordered a table for 4 people by telephone. We got a table at the very edge. Since it was very windy that day, which made it uncomfortable, I asked if we could sit at another free table. The cute answer: "That's not possible, we have to clean it first and it's way too loud!" ?????? I wondered where, because we weren't in a closed room, but under a beer tent roof! My conclusion about this visit: the staff, especially the "waitress" seemed to us like an untrained, overwhelmed and abandoned temporary worker who was apparently supposed to train a young man who was not interested in the drinks (perhaps coke and beer excepted) or by I had absolutely no idea about the food or what a waiter was wearing. The drinks and food came after what felt like an eternity. And they were carelessly prepared and there was little fish and some of it was half raw!! Since I read a lot of negative reviews about this fish restaurant from March to September, which wrote about the same or similar experiences in the summer, we will only eat in the restaurant on the upper floor again in the winter months, hoping that Then it will be the same again as it was during our last visit at the beginning of March 2024!

Nice excursion restaurant with delicious fish recipes

Restaurant rating. Free parking directly on the way to the restaurant. With a beautiful view of the water, you can choose self-service or a restaurant. We took the latter. Eating took a while, which was due to the high number of guests on Sunday. The taste was good and the portion was sufficient.

Nice snack bar by the water, prices still ok, quality and taste are average. The best thing is the location by the water on the floating pontoon. There is self-service and self-clearing. Matjes roll 5 euros.

Very tasty fish sandwiches and a very nice terrace. Points deducted just because of the prices. Too expensive for self-service.

We were only there for a small snack. Everything is fine and nice service at the tap and deep fryer. Attractive ambience on the lakeside terrace, especially in the evenings. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back!

A very nice corner in Werder... I can't say anything about the hotel operation. We were guests in the restaurant. Food, service, service and ambience were very nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Beautifully located restaurant right on the water. The fish there tastes extremely good. Even small requests for changes are received without any problems. The menu is clear. However, the price is a bit high.

Delicious fish food, good drinks and very attentive service. The view of the Havel is magnificent. You feel in good hands here. P.s. Docking by boat is also no problem.

Very well laid out restaurant with a beautiful view of the Havel. The food was really delicious and plentiful. The waiters would have to better coordinate who has what job, but they are very friendly and quick. Come back very soon ;-)

This is my third time here. The location is perfect and so are the fruit wines. In any case, there used to be fish from “Here” and not just fried fish or smoked fish. It has degenerated into a snack bar below North Sea standards. The only fried fish on offer doesn't even come from here. Fully sustainable and regional*Irony off* A little tartar sauce, etc. How can such good location potential be wasted due to such subterranean offerings and lack of service?

Have been here several times in the last few years. However, the fish only consists of non-regional finished products. Unfortunately the taste is getting worse and worse. There is also no longer any white wine from regional production (Werder is a wine-growing region). The restaurant has a lot of potential which unfortunately falls by the wayside.

Nicely located on the shore area, with a wonderful view of the lake. An ideal stopover on a bike tour, here you can get your calorie balance right with a drink or meal of your choice. I recommend the strawberry punch 😁😁😁

Noch nie bin ich von einer Servicekraft so unfreundlich und schnippisch bedient worden. Dann mussten wir fast 1 1/2 Stunden auf‘s mäßige Essen warten - das war keine gute Entscheidung in dieses Restaurant zu gehen.

Leider muss ich mich den negativen Bewertungen aus letzter Zeit anschließen. Wir waren immer sehr gerne dort am Wochenende um ein Fischbrötchen zu essen. Das letzte Mal hat es uns die Sprache verschlagen. Die Preise für die Fischbrötchen sind schon erheblich gestiegen in letzter Zeit, die Qualität hält leider nicht mit. Die Brötchen sind Aufbackbrötchen, nicht aufgebacken, pappig und blass. Ich hatte nachgefragt warum die Brötchen denn nicht aufgebacken werden? Die Antwort war: Wenn ich aufgebackene Brötchen möchte, sollte ich doch zum Bäcker gehen. Und wegen einer Person würden Sie doch nicht die Brötchen aufbacken. Das ist eine Unverschämtheit. Mit der neuen Bewirtschaftung hat alles nachgelassen. Man wollte das Geschäft mit dem Fischimbiss ohnehin aufgeben. Da sind Sie jetzt auf dem besten Weg. Für uns der letzte Besuch bei Arielle.

I can only agree with all the disappointed guests. You arrive as a guest and are ignored even though there was nothing going on. At the service restaurant, a table with staff in a convivial atmosphere and some drinks, felt comfortable. The orders were processed incorrectly at the neighboring tables. The price level and the staff and their service definitely don't fit. We were very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back. And what happened as we walked past the staff table could only be the result of the empty glasses. The location of the restaurant is great and the food was tasty, the rest was disappointing.

The location of the restaurant is fantastic. We are not transient holidaymakers but come from Groß Kreutz and I was here with three friends. However, the service and the quality of the food still leaves a lot of room for improvement. I ordered schnitzel with fries and a side salad. I was so disappointed with the quality of the food. Yes, I know it's a Fsch restaurant, but you should still get the fries crispy. That wasn't the case here. The schnitzel was fried. I can understand this in a snack bar, but it doesn't work at all in a restaurant. And that for €21.50. The side salad that I had to order separately and cost extra, as it wasn't part of the dish, was without dressing, neither oil nor vinegar. The waiter didn't ask afterwards whether we liked it. He definitely knew why. Apparently criticism is not welcome. The plates were still on the table thirty minutes after eating (the wasps were still enjoying the leftovers). Only after asking for the plates to be cleared did the waiter finally come. And the invoice was issued correctly for me but not for two of my companions. If I order Hugo, it can't be that Aperol is included as a drink on the bill. Likewise with the fish, Steinbeisser was ordered and it was probably out, a new order was zander fillet and the bill was then for Steinbeisser. When we complained about this, the answer was that the piece of zander fillet was a little bigger. I felt the answer was incorrect. But the waiter just shrugged his shoulders. I will definitely never visit this restaurant again and will no longer recommend it.

Nice restaurant with huge outdoor lighting, partly floating on pontoons. Self-service with quick processing, good fish, good side dishes. The drinks bar leaves nothing to be desired, a huge selection, even coffee drinkers and cake lovers will get their money's worth. Perfect organization.

We wanted to have a nice day, Delicious food at Arielle where we were always satisfied. What we had to experience was the very last. There was only one snack bar with bad-tempered service, a selection of smoked fish that was already past its best, and the rest of the offering made us prefer to skip a meal. We then only drank water and a beer (9.10), which we had to fetch ourselves. An impudence. The tables were dirty. That couldn't save the beautiful view anymore. NEVER AGAIN WERDER AND THE ARIAL It's a shame for such a restaurant in a beautiful place

I recently visited Arielle and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Unfortunately, I had the feeling that I was interrupting. What struck me particularly negatively was how rudely the employees responded to simple questions. Even water for my espresso was too much. Strange but true. Instead of giving helpful answers, I only got short, curt answers and annoyed looks. It almost seemed like it was a burden for them to serve customers. This rudeness and lack of service made my visit an extremely unpleasant experience. I cannot recommend a business that treats customers like this. I definitely won't be coming back. The food was again delicious. Very unfortunate

Arrived by boat at 5:30 p.m. in the afternoon. The very friendly, good man at the stand allowed us to spend the night on the jetty. (normally not desired) thank you very much again at this point 👍🏼 The fish sandwiches are always fresh and delicious, and the view is of course a dream.

Nice Biergarten and restaurant. Directly at the waterside on a big terrace. Perfect view. Enough dishes to choose from, mostly fish, also vegetarian, pasta and a kids menu. The restaurant has a few parkingplaces but it’s a nice walk over the island. Perfect afternoon.

Worst service experience of my life. We ordered a fish that only consisted of bones and skin. Instead of receiving a new fish, we received a half portion of something else... and were supposed to pay full price for it. After a long discussion with the chef, waiters and other guests, the price was not calculated. Exciting service understanding

I bought fish at the counter outside on June 24 and was very appalled at the hygiene behind the counter AND the quality of the eels. The waitresses seem to be completely untrained. They are wearing rubber gloves and are touching the money and at the same time the unpackaged fish! It couldn't be worse! The health department would probably close the store immediately! The quality of the eel, worth 65 euros, was so bad that I threw away at least half of it. The eel's skin could no longer be easily removed, which suggested that it was an ancient eel. Never again if you don't read my review and improve it as quickly as possible.

Werder Island is well worth seeing and you can enjoy a fish sandwich on the Arielle island terrace with a view of the lake

We arrived at 6.45 p.m. with fond memories of the menu and were turned away "we've been working all day and there won't be any more food" to a moderately full terrace with guests. Disappointed, we were directed to the associated snack stand, which really spoiled our evening's end with a fish soup that was probably watered again and again throughout the day. Disappointed with this service and no longer recommended.

We have been here several times and can only rate it positively. The food and service is impeccable. And if something goes wrong, we will be acknowledged. Great service and great food. We'd love to come back... Top...

Unimaginative fish fry shop with pharmacy prices. I have known the restaurant for many years and found the location and the facilities combined with the regionally flavored fish selection to be great. Apparently pure greed has now struck in the wake of inflation. A sad offer is sold by slow, unmotivated employees at abnormally high prices. If you consider that it is a self-service restaurant, the only thing you can do in the future is keep your distance.

We've actually been going to Arielle regularly on vacation for over 10 years. After the quality had dropped significantly in the meantime and I posted a review that seemed to encourage a rethink, as exactly the points mentioned had been addressed and remedied and we were happy to return, we found out again in May that the quality had slipped many levels down . The fried fish was replaced by frozen again, the prices were raised significantly and the fries were so salty that the whole plate glittered in the sunlight. The complaint was followed by stupid sayings, instructions on the topic of healthy eating and the staff were already overwhelmed after just three meals. The fact that we no longer knew any of the long-time staff no longer surprises me, given the reports about new operators. This time it was probably our last visit...

When I was there, fish was too expensive and there wasn't enough on offer, I told the manager in writing, whereupon he insulted me and told me I should go where the fish was cheap. Out of desperation I then ordered a large salad plate with dressing you have to imagine the dressing. The on-site parking lot was too small, so I only left after about an hour because it was much too narrow. The car blocking the exit was far too long to get through. There too there was nothing but malice from the GF. Also too expensive for self-service. Not recommended.👎👎👎👎

Nice place to stay and the food is super delicious. The service is very accommodating.

The restaurant only has a small menu, but the food was really good. However, we were thrilled with our waiter, who gave us and our rebellious dog a great place to sit and also made sure that other dogs weren't sitting in sight. Changes to the dishes were possible without any problems.

The ambience is very nice. The staff was somehow overwhelmed during our visit...cash register broken, tap system broken or new...I have no idea. The fish sandwich was very hard and fried fish with potato salad was clear. We were there on a day without service, maybe it's a different matter if there is no self-service!? Otherwise the view is great!

Unfortunately the restaurant no longer specializes in fish. Accordingly, the “courts”. So the self-service areas (fish sandwiches, etc.) are still possible and the location is unbeatable, but culinary “consumption”!

There is a map with a children's menu on the website. When I asked about it on site I was told: no, we don't offer that. You may not orientate yourself on the website. Yes, that's definitely not how you run a business. The child was correspondingly unhappy about what was promised, which then didn't happen. The fish soup was subpar, the rest of the food was greasy, but not really tasty. The only thing worth it was the floating terrace. Sober. Not recommendable.

Unfortunately I can't rate the rooms and service as I only came here on a bike tour. A nice place to enjoy a break by the water with a delicious fish sandwich and a shandy.

Every time we take a trip to Werder, a visit to Arielle is definitely a must! Apart from the absolutely fantastic location right on the water, the staff here are also friendly and helpful. We used the restaurant on the first floor and also the self-service area with snacks and drinks and were always very satisfied. The restaurant's now more diverse menu is very positive. There is still enough choice of fish dishes, but very attractive vegetarian and meat dishes have now been added. We are thrilled that there is now something for everyone. The last time I tried the spaghetti with spicy shrimp in creamy kaffir lime sauce, an absolute taste experience! The rest of the group enjoyed the pike perch fried on the skin, the “Vienna-style” schnitzel, the chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cream cheese and the salad with goat cheese gratin. We can only recommend every dish! We always spent our visits to the self-service area with Aperol Spritz, beer and delicious fish sandwiches on the floating terrace in the sun directly on the Havel. If you want to treat yourself to a break from stressful everyday life in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with very good food at reasonable prices, this is 100% the right place! You can also book the Arielle for larger events, which we will try out in the future, birthday parties on the Havel, there can hardly be a more beautiful ambience! A big thank you to the Arielle team!

Arrive with a rented boat and the restaurant is easy to reach thanks to the pier. The service is carried out by selection at the counter and you take the food and drinks with you to the lakeside terrace, for example. The food and drinks were delicious and I would recommend it. Have fun there

Location is really great, unfortunately that's about it. Food was a disaster, sweet potato fries were completely burnt and tasted like fish. Unfortunately, the fried fish consisted of 80% burnt breading. In short, in order to have a drink in a beautiful location, absolutely OK, better not to eat.

The fish soup is very fatty and has little to do with fish soup. There is hardly any fish in it and the soup is very, very fatty. 6€ is very overpriced.

We were in this restaurant in Werder for the second time last week. Last year it wasn't great. But things can go wrong when there's a lot of crowds. Last week we visited Arielle again. It was less busy than the year before. We then got a lesson in disaster catering. Let me list: All of the empty tables were not cleared and were dirty. The somewhat fuller gentleman at the reception desk didn't pay any attention to me for 5 minutes because he was explaining something to a colleague. He was visibly unhappy when he took the order; I probably disturbed him. 2 questions about the origin of the raw materials were not answered, it couldn't be more grumpy. Then a receipt and a fish sandwich were handed to me and I was just left standing there without any explanation that the food was served around the corner. Then, when urgently asked, the grumpy explanation. The person who served the food took the note without a word and immediately threw the food together without any further emotion. Cold fries, no garnish, all the smoked salmon looked like salmon. No question about mayo or anything. Cold sweet potato fries are no pleasure, and neither is a stuffy roll. It's a shame about the beautiful location of the restaurant. You could really do something with it.

Wir besuchten zu viert das Arielle am 1. Juni 2024 um dort zu Mittag zu essen. Bekannt war uns das Restaurant aus einem Besuch aus Juli 2020 bei dem wir hervorragend Fisch (Zander und Forelle) direkt an der Havel aßen. War sehr lecker in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Aber was uns diesmal geboten wurde, war ganz furchtbar. Wir hatten im Restaurant im 1.OG einen Tisch bestellt. Jedoch war es dort sehr ungemütlich und unangenehm geruchsintensiv; der Ober war pikiert, als wir wieder den Raum verließen. Wir setzten uns dann in den Außenbereich direkt an die Havel. Dort gab es aber keinen Service und wir mussten uns das Essen selbst holen. Das Essen war mehr ein Imbiss, wie man es von Imbissbuden kennt. Wir hatten uns für Fischbrötchen, Currywurst mit Pommes, Süßkartoffelpommes und Fischsuppe entschieden. Die Qualität war mehr als "lausig" zu bezeichnen und dafür verhältnismäßig teuer. Die Currywurst fast ohne Geschmack, das Fischbrötchen pappig, die Pommes wie auch die Süßkartoffelpommes sehr labbrig und die "Krönung" war die Fischsuppe, die überhaupt keinen Fisch enthielt. Auch die Getränke mussten wir uns vom Extra-Getränke Stand selbst holen. Das Personal wirkte desinteressiert und Service unerfahren. Fazit: nie wieder werden wir dieses Restaurant besuchen!

Trotz Öffnungszeiten (um 17.30 Uhr) keine Bedienung - "Es gibt nichts mehr, das lohnt sich für uns nicht." Unverschämt und und geschäftsuntüchtig. 👎👎👎

Service orientation when it comes to serving food is zero and as a guest you still have to make a fool of yourself. ... long waiting time because they are not structured. Orders are not processed in order, so you wait longer. Service doesn't seem to matter there because they don't rely on regular guests. At least the view was nice😉 But next time I wouldn't go there and would rather choose another restaurant.
