Ein großes Lob an Küche und Service. Man merkt sofort, wenn ein Koch seinen Beruf nicht nur ausübt, sondern lebt. Wenn jedes Gericht mit Sorgfalt zubereitet wird, die Zutaten bewusst ausgewählt sind und alles perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt ist. Das Essen überzeugt nicht nur geschmacklich, sondern auch optisch. Jeder Teller wirkt durchdacht, frisch und mit Liebe angerichtet. Genau so entsteht Genuss, der in Erinnerung bleibt. Ebenso beeindruckend ist der Service, der aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell arbeitet. Man fühlt sich willkommen, gut betreut und gleichzeitig angenehm unaufdringlich. Wünsche werden schnell erkannt, Fragen kompetent beantwortet und jeder Gast wird mit Wertschätzung behandelt. Das schafft eine Atmosphäre, in der man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Zusammen bilden Küche und Service ein starkes Team. Die Leidenschaft des Kochs und die Perfektion des Service machen den Besuch zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Es war ein wundervoller Abend mit einem vorzüglichen Seafood-Menü. Jeder Gang war kreativ angerichtet und ein außergewöhnliches Geschmackserlebnis. Wir hatten zu zweit einen wunderschönen Abend mit einem 7 Gänge Menü bei dem ein Highlight auf das nächste folgte. Jeder Gang war einzigartig durchdacht und lecker. Eine Komposition aus verschiedensten Konsistenzen, Aromen und Texturen, so dass jedes Gericht mit einem ganz eigenen Mundgefühl aufwarten konnte. Das alles aus regionalen, hochwertigen Produkten. Hier versteht die Küche (Herr Kuhlemann) sein Handwerk und man merkt deutlich die Erfahrung in ausgezeichneten Küchen. Die Weinkarte bot eine hervorragende und breit gefächerte Auswahl. Auch für den einfachen Bier Liebhaber war gesorgt. Der Service war super freundlich, zuvorkommend und auch extra Wünsche zum Menü wurden selbstverständlich berücksichtigt und kurzfristig umgesetzt. Wer in Neustadt lecker, gehoben essen gehen möchte, mit regionalen Produkten, in gemütlicher Atmosphäre und super Service ist hier richtig. Wer Pommes, Currywurst oder Schnitzel möchte sollte evtl. ein anderes Restaurant aufsuchen.

Absolute Empfehlung von Herzen !! Wir waren gestern zu unserem Jahrestag essen & wir wollten etwas ganz besonderes machen & wir wurden absolut nicht enttäuscht! Ganz im Gegenteil. Das Ambiente spiegelt Tradition und Modernen Charm wieder. Wir wurden absolut Herzlich empfangen und erlebten den gesamten Abend einen super Service. Die Mitarbeiter waren super motiviert und kannten sich mega aus. Auch auf meinen Extrawunsch sind sie sofort freundlich eingegangen und haben sofort nach einer Lösung gesucht. Dann kam das Essen und es war sowohl ein Gaumenschmaus und eine absolute Augenweide! Ich habe bereits bei sehr guten und bekannten Köchen gegessen, aber das war wirklich eine Klasse für sich ! Er würde von uns sofort einen Stern erhalten ! Die Komponenten waren super aufeinander abgestimmt und mit den Konsistenzen hat er unglaublich gespielt. Für alle Sinne ein absolutes Fest. Natürlich ist das kein günstiges Vergnügen gewesen, aber es war jeden Cent wert !!!! Und falls man lieber Curry Wurst oder Schnitzel möchte ist dies vllt nicht das passende Ambiente. Auch für Gesellschaftsspiele ist das kein passender Ort. Da sollte man dann doch lieber am Zoigl gehen! Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder und empfehlen es jeden, der ein mega Erlebnis erleben möchte !

Wahnsinnig gutes Essen, tolle Weinauswahl und supernettes Personal.

Wir waren gestern zum zweiten Mal hier – und leider erneut enttäuschend. Das Restaurant möchte gehobene Küche darstellen, schafft es aber schlicht nicht. Die Weinkarte ist eher zum Schmunzeln, die angeblich regionalen Produkte wirken wie hübsch verpackte Großmarktware. Herr Kuhlemann ist zwar bemüht, aber noch deutlich unerfahren – ein Blick in großartige Küchen wäre hier sicher lehrreich. Besonders ärgerlich: Wir wollten unser klassisches Karten- oder Uno-Spiel aufbauen, wie wir es immer machen, aber schlichtweg kein Platz dafür. Auch mein Wunsch nach reinem Fleisch und Pommes wurde nicht wirklich berücksichtigt. Das Ambiente wirkt merkwürdig, irgendwo zwischen Wienerwald und Ikea, und passt kaum zum angestrebten Anspruch. Unterm Strich: wenig ausgereift, wenig authentisch – eher Schein als Sein. Ehrliche Schnitzel und großzügige Portionen würden deutlich glaubwürdiger wirken.

Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend, das Essen mit den Zwischengängen war hervorragend und das Personal sehr höflich bei einem 6 Gang Menü mit Weinbegleitung hielten wir uns ca. 3 Stunden im angenehmen Ambiente auf.

Sehr zu empfehlen: die Vorspeisen zum Teilen. Das Kuhlemann-Team hat uns für unsere private Feier ein tolles abwechslungsreiches Menü zusammengestellt, das wir sehr genossen haben.

Am 23.12.2025 war es bereits mein dritter Besuch bei Herrn Kuhlemann und seinem Team – und wie schon bei den beiden vorherigen Besuchen wurde ich nicht enttäuscht. Herr Kuhlemanns Küche überzeugt durch handwerklich hervorragend ausgearbeitete Gerichte und spannende Kombinationen, ohne dabei abgehoben zu wirken. Der Fokus auf regionale und frische Produkte ist deutlich spürbar, ebenso die Leidenschaft, die in jedem Teller steckt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich freue mich schon jetzt auf meine zukünftigen Besuche.

Ein Abend im Restaurant Kuhlemann ist immer wieder etwas ganz Besonderes. Wir haben die vielen Gänge sehr genossen. Das Essen ist auf sehr hohem Niveau und dennoch mit bodenständigen Zutaten aus der Region. Service, Geschmack, Ambiente - hier stimmt einfach alles. Waren im 3. Jahr zur Vorweihnachtszeit zu Gast und werden definitiv wieder kommen. Macht weiter so!

Immer wieder ein Genuss und absolute Herzensempfehlung! Wir haben hier unsere diesjährige Weihnachtsfeier gefeiert und es war einfach nur perfekt - vom überragend leckeren Essen bis hin zum top Service! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder :)

Fine Dining im Dorf. Gerne besuche ich die Casa Kuhlemann, freue mich über seine gehobene aber nicht abgehobene Art zu kochen, und das Talent Dinge die ich vorher nicht gemocht habe, so zu interpretieren dass es mir ein Gaumenschmauß wird. Besuche mit kleinem Kind sind ebenfalls kein Problem und ich kann jedem nur empfehlen unbedingt einen Laib Brot seines selbstgebackenen Sour Dough-Brots für daheim mitzunehmen!

Wir waren mit dem 3-Gänge-Menü wirklich sehr zufrieden, um nicht zu sagen begeistert. Die Atmosphäre ist ungezwungen, das Personal und der Chef sind sehr sympathisch.

Leider war das Gansessen ausgesprochen enttäuschend, denn das Fleisch war derart fest, dass wir alle 6 Portionen zurückgehen ließen.

We were there with the family and had the set menu with wine pairing. The food was excellent, I highly recommend it. Service was okay, but could have been better. What bothered me was that at the next table, a dog was lying under the table the whole time (despite the dog ban). A complete no-go for me. Maybe acceptable in a village inn or a Zoiglstubn, but not in a restaurant with this distinction, but oh well...

Great food at fair prices, very friendly service, and a beautiful dining room where classic ambiance and modern elements complement each other well. The few guests were a bit of a shame; the restaurant definitely deserved more!

We had the menu with wine accompaniment, which really went well together. The courses were a delight for the palate and the taste of the ingredients was very pure and intense, which now makes my mouth water again. Excellent cuisine, you can taste that the cooking here is done with “love” and creativity. The two service employees do a perfect job, are very attentive and approachable, and contribute significantly to the feel-good atmosphere. Our experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing—100% recommended! The service and food were both outstanding, and it’s clear that they truly understand hospitality here. We booked a table for four to celebrate a birthday and had pre-ordered four set menus. Unfortunately, one of our friends wasn’t feeling well, so we had to cancel one menu at the last minute. Despite having every right to charge us, the team was incredibly understanding and didn’t. This level of kindness and flexibility has been really approciate. The amuse-bouche was incredible, the cauliflower and fish dishes were excellent, and the dessert was simply sublime—I can honestly say I’ve never had a dessert this good in my life! Both our server, Cameron, and the sommelier (whose name I unfortunately don’t remember) were exceptionally kind and attentive. 10/10—you are amazing!

Service is pleasant, never intrusive, wine expertise is top notch, the 6-course menu is very well coordinated and each course is a real treat for the palate! The Restaurant Kuhlemann is an oasis not only of well-being, but of openness to new horizons, while remaining authentic and relaxed. Nothing has to, a lot can. And it tastes good. The ingredients are regionally rooted, the taste is differentiated and complex, but always simply delicious. Guests' impartiality is rewarded. This also applies to the wine selection, which differs so substantially from the usual, mundane VDP estate wine lists in terms of wine accompaniment, thanks to tailor-made, new taste experiences. The light from the nearby garage production is also excellent. Depending on the mood, vinyl is discreetly played. If it turns out later than planned, you can spend the night in the hotel and then take the train from the nearby train station to the big cities the next morning or explore the Upper Palatinate, for which the Kuhlemanns are happy to give very good recommendations. Kuhlemann is a place that is always aware of its region, but which represents an enrichment everywhere, whether in the province or in the big city. Have fun and an exciting future.

Our pre-Christmas meal with all our office colleagues was excellent. The dishes from the creatively compiled menu were served in an optimal time by the professional restaurant team and explained in detail. The varied and innovatively composed dishes were delicious. We were able to personally express our compliments to the chef as we left.

For the price of 105 EUR per person, my expectations were quite high. The portions were tiny. Sometimes just 2 tablespoons. Tastes good, but not an explosion. Fish from the region. That was great. Unfortunately we don't have any meat at all. You can't choose a menu either. If I hadn't liked fish, two courses would have been inedible and there would have only been a handful of vegetables. The price is simply too high for that. We paid 635 EUR for 5 people and weren't even close to full. Wine was good. Conclusion. You can do it once, but you don't have to. For the price I expect an experience. I will not visit the restaurant again.

Not enough “wow” for the price. Service was OK, but distant. Food very good, but for the price I expect new and unexpected experiences.

Unfortunately I personally and my companions didn't like it. The plates weren't particularly well presented either. Price-performance ratio is not right.

This was our second time at Kuhlemann. We were thrilled the first time, but the B sample couldn't live up to our high expectations. We have often been to upscale restaurants (including star restaurants), but what I have to complain about this time is the portion size. Of course I can't expect good home-style portions, but without three bread baskets I would have gone home hungry. We were very satisfied with the service and the ambience is also very nice

Die Überraschung auf dem Goldsteig, ein Koch, der mit besten Zutaten Genuss zelebriert. Mehr zufällig, weil das Hotel bei der Goldsteig Wanderung dort zur Übernachtung vorgesehen war, gingen wir im Restaurant Essen. Service und Niveau der Beratung waren ebenfalls exzellent. Die Auswahl des Weines war trotz der großen Vielfalt durch die Beratung einfach. Schön angerichtete Speisen und Geschmack pur. Die Speisekarte wird täglich um ein wechselndes Menü ergänzt. Alles ist in Bio-Qualität. Das hauseigene Brot ist ein Geheimtipp. Die Preise waren gefühlt unterdimensioniert, für die gebotene Leistung. Klare Empfehlung!👍👍👍👍👍

Jeden Cent wert. Spitzenküche, passender Wein und das beste Brot!

Ich habe mir Hähnchenschenkel bestellt und es war nicht richtig durchgebraten, es lief noch Blut raus. Das Flaschenbier war optimal, doch des Fassbier war von der Temperatur leider zu warm. Personal war freundlich und Ambiente war sehr schön

Schon unser zweiter Besuch, nachdem wir letztes Jahr im Sommer das erste Mal da waren. Wir hatten das komplette Menü inkl. der beiden Surprise Gerichte und die Weinbegleitung. Alle Gerichte gefallen, Höhepunkte für mich waren der Stör mit dem traumhaften Butternut, das Spargelgericht und die hervorragende Nachspeise (Dinkel mit Estragon). Super Brot. Weinbegleitung hervorragend und nicht zu überteuert. Service sehr aufmerksam. Ich persönlich würde mir wünschen, dass Ihr Eure Gerichte etwas aktiver und selbstbewusster präsentiert und erklärt, ich denke Ihr habt allen Grund dazu. Meiner Meinung könnt Ihr "Stern" und das solltet Ihr auch vertreten. Und wie es weiter unten schon mal geschrieben wurde, über einen kleinen Extraschluck freut sich jeder :-) Komme gerne wieder.

Eine tolle Erfahrung! Kulinarik: Wunderschöne Gänge mit ausgesuchten regionalen Produkten und ergänzt durch das hauseigene sehr leckere Brot, die Weinbegleitungen haben super harmoniert. Die Highlights für mich waren die Lachsforelle, der Rote Beete Gang sowie das erste Dessert. Ambiente: Auf mich wirkt der Gastraum und die offen gestaltete Küche sehr warm und super angenehm obwohl nicht "außergewöhnlich". Nicht zum Gesamteindruck und -anspruch passend sind aus meiner Sicht die sanitären Anlagen.Ich fand mich von den Vitrinen und der Bestückung im Eingangsbereich nicht zwingend angesprochen Service: Absolut einwandfrei und ggf. etwas passiv, aber für mich super. Preis-Leistung: Kulinarisch aus meiner Sicht 5 Sterne, aber bei dem Preisniveau fehlt es mir dann trotzdem ein wenig an den Portionsgrößen, der Großzügigkeit der Weinbegleitung oder dem ein oder anderen Gruss aus der Küche. Daher gesamt für mich persönlich und wie immer maximal subjektiv "nur" 4 Sterne

Ausgezeichnetes Essen! Haben zwar "nur" Saure Bratwürste gegessen, das waren aber dafür die besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Auch das selbstgebackene Brot, dass es dazu gab war hervorragend. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und unterhaltsam. Hut ab und weiter so!
