The beef noodle soup contained tons of noodles and a lot of broth, but unfortunately, there was almost no vegetables, and the meat was also sparse. It wasn't seasoned enough. The pork knuckle was also not well seasoned, and there were hardly any vegetables on the plate. Paper towels instead of napkins are a real no-go! The price is just about reasonable for the food offered, but if you're fed on noodles and rice, a higher price would be extortionate. The portion size is good, but I really don't need 500g of noodles! I spent two weeks in China last year and ate considerably better food there! I couldn't detect any authenticity in the three dishes I ordered at this restaurant.

We were passing through there. We've never had such delicious Asian food. The crispy oyster mushrooms were amazing. The staff was very friendly. It's a shame I have to drive 600 km to enjoy it again.

Most of the dishes feature meat or fish, but vegetarians will also find something to their liking. The glass noodles with spinach and the morel salad are particularly tasty for vegetarians. The portions were surprisingly large, so I was able to take half of the glass noodles home with me and eat them for dinner 😋

I ordered hot and sour rice noodles, spicy beef side dishes, braised beef noodles and fresh meat patties. The portions were quite large and I was very full. But the taste was really not that good, especially the braised beef noodles, which did not have the taste of braised beef at all. All the meat tasted not fresh and had a slightly stinky smell. Whether it was beef or pork. It was really speechless. Meat is so cheap in Europe, I don’t know what kind of meat is used. I saw many reviews saying it was not fresh... I hope the store owner will open the store with conscience. After eating, I felt a little uncomfortable in my stomach and felt nauseous all the time. I also had diarrhea the next day.

Did they change the chef?! It's absolutely awful! I went there for the past two years and it was delicious! But it was awful when I went there earlier this year! I tried it again last week and it was just as awful! The Kung Pao Chicken was all flour! The spicy chicken had only a few pieces of meat and was just dry potato chunks! The stir-fried pork with chili peppers was also awful! I won't be going there again!!!

I was particularly impressed by the service team: very friendly, attentive, and present without ever being intrusive – just the right balance, always there when you need something. The atmosphere is ideal for enjoying a leisurely meal with friends and having a quiet chat. Overall, a real asset to Aachen: high-quality cuisine, beautiful surroundings, and great service. Bottom line: If you love Chinese cuisine (or want to rediscover it), you should definitely try Yan Tasty – I'll definitely be back!

The overall taste of the dishes is good, the portions are generous, but the chicken in the pig stomach chicken is a bit dry. I recommend the Dongpo pork. Sometimes you need to queue or make a reservation.

We had a reservation at Yan Tasty (which is recommended) and got our table right away. It's very lively in the restaurant, but that's not a problem...quite the opposite. We had to wait a bit for our order because the place was packed, but that was fine, as it gave us plenty of time to thoroughly examine the wide selection. The service was generally good, although you could tell the staff were quite stressed (as I said, it was very busy, sometimes with larger groups). We received our appetizers before our drinks, and the food came in "increments," not all at once. But the staff were always friendly and accommodating. The food itself was extremely delicious; there's absolutely nothing to complain about here! There's nothing more to say, as the dishes were truly impressive. The portion sizes are generous, but manageable...and if not, they'll happily pack the rest to take home. All in all, I highly recommend visiting Yan Tasty and enjoying the cuisine there!

Unreserved recommendation! We got our preferred seat on the outdoor terrace, and the waitress was there for us right away. Due to the large, sometimes unusual, selection of dishes on two menus, we needed some time to decide. First, the appetizer was served, which, without any exaggeration, blew us away with its flavor. What was offered here doesn't correspond to the typical Germanized Chinese restaurant. And in this case, that's a good thing! After our three appetizers (there were two of us) were enthusiastically consumed, the three main courses were served. The enthusiasm from the appetizers continued. The leftovers we didn't finish were kindly packed for us. Anyone looking for authentic Chinese food and not afraid of unusual ingredients like lamb spine or squirrel fish will be 100% satisfied here. But don't worry, there are also plenty of dishes made with familiar ingredients. All the dishes we ate were perfectly balanced in terms of flavor. For two drinks, three starters, and three main courses, we paid a total of €80, which is extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity offered. For us, it was a perfect culinary experience that we will definitely repeat!

The food itself was delicious, but some of it was very greasy. We waited over ten minutes just for our drinks – after the first people had their food, the others were left with empty plates; the food arrived just as the first people had finished. That's completely unacceptable!

A terrible dining experience! No one told us before ordering that credit cards weren't accepted. When paying, we were asked to pay in cash. When we didn't have enough cash, we were told to withdraw money using WeChat or Alipay. I can't believe such a large restaurant only has one credit card machine, and it happened to be broken. Would this also be the case for foreigners? I hate all the Chinese people treating Chinese people differently! Also, the sweet and sour pork was mushy and not authentic, and the salt and pepper mushrooms were fried in a greasy oil with no salt and pepper flavor at all! This is a restaurant I'll never go back to, and I wouldn't recommend it. I don't know why Xiaohongshu recommends it so much. It seems like my compatriots really don't have much good food to eat outside of China!

Both taste and service are huge disappointment. 1. Every dish was super oily and salty. 2. Rice we were served was super overcooked as indicated in the photo. Not just the surface, but a whole bowl. We asked to change cuz it was too chewy, but the waiter took the rice bowl and never came back. 3. Spinat mit Aprilkosenkern only has the taste of over dose of soy sauce. 4. Spiced pig ear was super salty and with large portion of cucumber and scallion. 5. Lamb skewers were overly deep fried. It was even hard to get the meat out of the sticks.

The food was really good, service is fast as well. They don’t accept cash which we didn’t know until it was time to pay, however they accepted PayPal.

I've eaten here many times, but every dish was a disaster last time. They were extremely sweet and had a weird taste. I don't know if they changed the chef, but I won't be going there again.

Never, never, never again. Hospitality is a low priority here. Shortly after the main course was served, I was asked to pay. THE VERY LAST thing I've ever experienced in a restaurant. Where have we ended up today? Just a quick cash grab and then please leave? 40 minutes for the starter and main course, which, by the way, didn't arrive together, but as they were ready. What's wrong with Aachen's restaurants? I just can't believe it.

During my stay at Aachen, I ate three times at Yan Tasty. I've tried a few dishes and I strongly recommend lion's head, the portion was generous and the meatballs were delicious. However, the pineapple fried chicken on the other hand was a disaster, it was over fried and felt it was a dish for white people. Overall food is good and service is great. AC could have been stronger indoor, it was way too warm.

Boiled fish: I was looking forward to it. But the fish fillet was really hard to describe. It didn't taste like fish. It was like eating a piece of fat meat coated with flour. The cold pig ears were good. Delicious. The seasoning of several cold dishes was similar. Mouth-watering chicken and husband and wife lung slices. And the beef jerky and dried fish. The minced meat and beans were the best in the place! ! Must order! ! ! The vermicelli in the iron pot stewed ribs was also delicious The cumin squid was coated with too much flour. It was actually wet. It had nothing to do with the picture. All the people in the store were Chinese, so there was no need to worry about communication problems.

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment! This was our first time at this restaurant – and it will definitely be our last. Even the drinks took a while to arrive, but that was still bearable. But then the real chaos began: Our starter was completely forgotten, and the main courses arrived almost 40 minutes apart. My meal was served when my companion was already finished – and it was lukewarm, too! We asked the waiter several times, but either we received no answer or were fobbed off with a smile. No apology, no consideration – simply zero interest in customer satisfaction. For us, it was an absolutely disappointing evening. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant! 😔

Super delicious and authentic food. They offer an authentic menu and a variation for more discerning palates. The pepper chicken is highly recommended. The ribs are tasty, but super tough and hanging on the bone. Not so good. The beech mushrooms are also fantastic, and the sweet and sour pork is completely different from anywhere else, and very good.

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Aachen! My boyfriend and I now come to Yan Tasty at least 1-2 times a week - and that says it all. My friend even drives from Düsseldorf to Aachen just to be able to eat here. This shows how special this restaurant is to us. The atmosphere is beautiful, you immediately feel at home. We always get a seat and the team is super welcoming - the waitresses already recognize us, which makes the whole thing even more personal. The food is always fresh, lovingly prepared and simply incredibly delicious. Everything comes to the table nice and warm and you can taste that the cooking here is done with real passion. I've been a regular guest for over a year now and can say with full conviction: Yan Tasty is one of the best restaurants in Aachen - if you eat here once, you'll definitely come back!

Very good restaurant for having authentic Chinese food. I noticed, however, that they started to make their food westernized which is not good. They should keep cooking the real Chinese tasty food. Prices are reasonable.

I ordered Peking Duck, which is supposed to be roasted, but instead, I received deep-fried duck. The dish I was served was completely different from what was shown on the menu, both in preparation and appearance. This was very disappointing, as it did not meet my expectations. I hope you can address this issue and ensure it does not happen again.

The most authentic Chinese food that I’ve ever eaten outside China. This place is as good as it comes, you can tell be the number of Asian-Chinese guests, and not a glow in the dark sweet & sour sauce to be found. Service comes with good humour, and the menu is extensive and delicious. I can’t recommend it enough.

I really enjoyed my rather spicy dish which happened to be made of frog legs. The quantity is there given the price. I will return there if the opportunity arises. Note: only accepts cash or debit card which was not planned.

I eat here once every 2 months and the food has always been consistently very good. But since about half a year, it isn't consistent anymore. On some days, all their dishes taste different and are not as good as usual. I think that on some days they have a different chef in the kitchen. Today I fear was one of those days. So I won't return for a couple of months and then give it another shot. Service and atmosphere is always great.

3. Visit to yans tasty fish. Tip top again. Served quickly, super nice, rice refilled without asking. Table full of delicious food. Everyone ate everything. The dishes came really quickly. There were 9 of us and we ended up with 22€ per person. You can eat very spicy food there, but you don't have to. There are also many delicious options for the sensitive ones. Or you can simply ask that it is not made spicy. One of the best restaurants in Aachen for my taste!

If you like Chinese food, you will like this. It's quite crowded, which is also a sign that everything is right.

Unusual food preparations. A lot of Asian people come here to eat. The service is friendly and makes sure that the guest receives everything they order promptly. The dishes are very tasty prepared and seasoned for the “European palate”. I suspect that you can also get "more traditional, spicier" food here. I have always been very satisfied with Lao Yan Fish. I occasionally order steamed pork dumplings in the store and always think it is good, so I ordered takeout today. In the end, six small pork dumplings were delivered to fool people. If I want to eat boiled dumplings, I will just eat them. It's even cheaper if you order dumplings. . . Very disappointed Das Essen bei Lieferservice ist anders als was man im Restaurant bekommt.

The service was nice but unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. We paid €70 and hungry went to Edeka to buy a frozen pizza.

I think it's not bad. There is such a great place in Aachen. I don’t understand why there are so many comments in the comment section about not being able to bring your own drinks. Aren’t you allowed to bring your own drinks in Germany? You can't bully other people's Chinese restaurants either. I laughed out loud at some of the amazing comments in the comment section. However, it is not recommended to order takeout, as takeout is not as good as dine-in. The grilled fish and pickled fish were just average, but the others were pretty good.

The food is amazing, and the place is very cozy. the food may seem expensive, but if you come with friends/family it will be very affordable. their cocktails are also delicious. my recommendation: Knuspriger Austernpilze & gebackene Garnelen mit gesalzem Eigelb. 💛💛

For me the restaurant was okay, so I would rate it as 2 stars. How authentic chinese it was is something that I wont be a good judge of. But based on what me and my partner ordered, I can say the experience hangs in between okay and disappointed. The bathroom was out of toilet paper and the limited space made air stuffy within the premise. But the people who were serving and family working there were really nice and welcoming. I would love to give more stars just because of this but that would be unfair.

Recommendation from a work colleague. Dinner for 2 including drinks and a helping of rice. Expectations were exceeded, super tasty and huge portions. That would have easily been enough for one more person. For the really good price, simply unbeatable and super tasty. I can only recommend it! I will definitely come back again :-)

One word, absolutely. The taste is good, the price is high, there are many dishes and a wide range of cuisines. You can eat grilled fish, kebabs of mutton, soup and hot pot. These two dishes we ordered were so delicious! It tastes like what I ate in the country when I was a kid.

I've been there several times and the experience is getting worse and worse. I believe the last time will be the last. I ordered jasmine tea, but I was given a little bit of some unknown tea leaves, which was so bland that it had no taste at all. If not, just drink it as boiling water, but no one can be called to add water. I finally caught a passerby, but he promised well, but he never came back. There was too much salt in the grilled fish, it was too salty. Otherwise, a pot of water wouldn't be enough for two people. The mutton skewers were too dry and had no mutton flavor, only cumin. The soybean and pork knuckle soup had no flavor at all. It should have been made in a pressure cooker. Maybe I was too demanding. Foreign chefs don't know how to make a bowl of clear soup. I didn't eat a single bite of the pork knuckle. The fried yellow beef has only one flavor, spicy and no other flavor. The minced meat eggplant and saliva chicken were okay, but the saliva chicken was not tasty. I should have chopped the chicken with some chili oil and served it. The chili oil taste was okay. I ordered steamed sea bass and was served a plate of crucian carp. As soon as it was served, I saw something was wrong and told the waiter that the answer was sea bass. Bass and crucian carp don't look the same. The taste is not the same, the meat quality is also different, and the price is also different. The salt and pepper oyster mushrooms were okay this time. I was not impressed with the other dishes I ordered. There must have been more than ten dishes in total. Only three dishes were passable. The cost was 250+. The service was so bad that they ignored me even if I asked for a cup. If you really want to go, order the chicken with oyster mushrooms and minced meat and eggplant stew, and forget about the rest.

The dishes I ordered tasted very good and were very cost-effective. Three dishes cost 41. If this dish were replaced by the Dutch, it would definitely be more than that. My favorite is the "couple's lung slices" which are "a must order at every table". The only thing is that occasionally there are a few pieces of Guobao Pork that smell like pork. I went to eat in Aachen after seeing good reviews, but I ate a desiccant packet in the dish. Fortunately, I hadn't eaten much when I discovered it, and I didn't eat it after I discovered it. I have been having diarrhea since I came back last night😂 The service attitude and atmosphere are quite good. Apart from the "seasoning packets", the food is actually quite delicious.

Great Chinese restaurant that finally seems to be holding its own in this location! The staff is very friendly, attentive and quick. The food is delicious. The fact that the restaurant is very popular with many Chinese students is a good indication that the food is not only good but also authentic. The second grilled fish tastes average, and the base is completely home-cooked. The couple's beef slices were pretty good, but the portion was much smaller than before.

Amazing Chinese restaurant. The waiters were very friendly. They confirmed your order verbally and asked if you wanted more rice when they noticed you had eaten your bowl (rice refill is free). You get a lot of very good food for the price. All in all one of my favourite restaurants in Aachen.
