We received a warm welcome and immediately felt welcome. Such nice employees. I had the best plaice I have ever eaten. And where we live on the North Sea and always thought the best fish was there. I can only recommend Fisch Pauli. If you want to eat very well and also want to sit comfortably and be looked after nicely, then you have to eat here. 10 out of 10 Oh, and there’s really good cappucino here too.

The two of us reserved a table online at Fisch Pauli on a Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. When we got there a little earlier, there were no guests in the restaurant and so we had "first class" thanks to incredibly nice, courteous service. With all explanations about the dishes and personal recommendations. The greeting from the kitchen, as a starter, was absolutely mega, in terms of taste and quantity! With a Pauli Mix platter without seafood, with fried potatoes and spicy sauce, as well as a pan fish with chips and a homemade mega mustard sauce, we enjoyed a meal that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. A shop that looks inconspicuous from the outside, but offers a stylish ambience inside. We felt incredibly comfortable, especially after the bill. For 2 people including drinks less than €60, amazing value for money! By the way, from 6 p.m. that evening the restaurant was completely booked!

A beautiful little restaurant. Be sure to reserve otherwise you'll only get a table if you're lucky. We were there before our reserved time. I ate the most delicious fish ever at Fisch Pauli. I ordered the Pauli Mix 2, the seafood was really great and the sauces and dips were really tasty. The bread with the salad was also exceptionally good. Ambience calm and harmonious. Can be recommended as an insider tip to every visitor to Hamburg.

You get a starter: garlic bread, two sauces and a salad (unfortunately I don't have a picture of it). I had the Fish Mix2 which was outstanding. My friend also thought her salmon was delicious. Clear recommendation. Probably the best fish restaurant in Hamburg.

While looking for a fish restaurant we came across “Fisch-Pauli”. The good reviews made us curious and we were not disappointed!! The food is super tasty and the service is very nice and attentive. We recommend this restaurant 100 percent and would love to come back!!

The food was really good. I had the Pauli Mix 2. This existed of Kabeljauw, roodbaars, zeebaars, zalm. + garnaal, inktvis, oktopus. Only down side of the restaurant was not being able to pay by card. We tried 1 visa & 2 dutch cards. All 3 weren’t accepted. Then we needed to pin the money cash closeby. Still amazing experience.

Super lecker! Wir hatten den Pauliteller ( 4 verschieden gebratene Fischfilets) ohne Meeresfrüchte. Dazu gab es vorweg gut gebackenes Röstbrot mit 2 verschiedenen Dips und einen Salat mit leckerem Dressing. Der Fischteller war schön angerichtet, der Fisch auf den Punkt gebraten. Hier gibt man sich richtig viel Mühe. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hier komme ich ganz bestimmt wieder. Der Laden ist unbedingt zu empfehlen!

A very cozy restaurant with top service and great food.

Very attentive, friendly staff. Fish was delicious, seasoned just right for my taste. Not too strong, but not sober either. Fresh, crunchy vegetables and rosemary potatoes (but they were more like fried potatoes, as you can see in the pictures). You can enjoy the food put together yourself. Fish fillet, side dish and sauce. The offer is clear, which generally speaks for the restaurant. Fewer dishes but fresh and quick than many dishes and cheap quality. Cocktails like Mochito and Caipirinha had a little too little Piu and Cachca in them for my taste. Ambiance matches the food. Simple, but comfortable and still cozy.

Small, cozy fish restaurant. From the outside it looks very inconspicuous, but it's worth a visit. The menu is very manageable and, according to the company, the fish is delivered fresh every day. I had a mixed plate of fish and seafood, everything cooked to perfection and definitely worth the almost cheap 25 euros. The service is attentive and very friendly.

It was simply amazing: super fast, warm waiter. Good selection, perfectly prepared and perfect portion size at very fair prices! Great decoration and clean toilets; not too loud, although very busy. You definitely have to make a reservation because this is no longer an insider tip.

Delicious food, friendly service and good prices. The sets outside are a bit rocky, as is somehow typical for St. Pauli. The sauces don't go well with the breaded fish (too thin and flavorful), but that's a minor issue.

On a recommendation we went here for dinner on our trip to Hamburg, a real hit! We had the Pauli Mix, once with seafood, once without. First of all, there was toasted bread with dips from the kitchen, very good. The main courses were perfect, the 4 different fish fillets cooked to perfection! You could choose a sauce and a side dish to go with the main course. You should definitely make a reservation here and allow yourself some waiting time. We had to wait about 40 minutes for the main course, but this was announced in advance and shortened by the greeting from the kitchen. The service consists of a young, committed, very friendly team. That's why you should also bring cash for tips if you pay by card, as this is not possible with the card.

Auf Empfehlung sind wir bei unserem HamburgTrip hier zum Abendessen gewesen, ein Volltreffer! Wir hatten den Pauli Mix, einmal mit Meeresfrüchten, einmal ohne. Vorweg gab es als Gruß aus der Küche geröstetes Brot mit Dips, sehr gut. Die Hauptgerichte waren perfekt, die 4 verschiedenen Fischfilets auf den Punkt gegart! Man konnte eine Soße und eine Beilage zum Hauptgericht wählen. Unbedingt sollte man hier reservieren und etwas Wartezeit mitbringen. Wir mussten ca. 40 Minuten auf den Hauptgang warten, wurde aber vorweg angekündigt und durch den Gruß aus der Küche verkürzt. Der Service besteht aus einem jungen, engagierten, sehr freundlichen Team. Deshalb sollte man auch, wenn man mit Karte zahlt Bares fürs Trinkgeld mitbringen, das ist nicht über die Karte möglich.

Clear recommendation when it comes to fish. The fish platter was excellent and both the rosemary potatoes and vegetables were very tasty. The fish bread is the same. We just didn't like the fish + chips. They tended to be dry. The service is friendly and competent and always on hand. Simply great. The atmosphere is much nicer than the outside of the restaurant suggests. We'd love to come back!

We were in the restaurant for the first time today. Had a Pauli-Mix2 platter and my wife had a tuna steak. There were boiled potatoes for our little one. Super delicious and the service was also super friendly and very accommodating. All in all highly recommended. 👍🏼👌

It’s the real good old Hamburg, excellent authentic fish dishes, solid, friendly, and helpful hospitality, in a perfect local location. This is our go to restaurant for the family when we’re in town, I suggest reserving a table when the weather is nice to sit outside ❤️

I went there alone for dinner around 6 pm. The waiter there asked me if one hour was enough for me, because he was expecting a full house at 7 pm. My first thought: would he do that if I were white? I told him 30 minutes were enough for me. That's it, the food, the ambience, the service etc., didn't mean anything to me anymore.

Der Service des Personals: Dieses lächeln, diese Freundlichkeit , den Spaß an der Arbeit wir haben den jungen Menschen , die diesen Beruf ausüben ,und uns den Luxus geben bedient werden zu dürfen genossen. Das Essen ein Traum !!!! So guten Fisch mit Beilagen und dann noch die nette Vorspeise!!! Wenn wir nicht 270 km weit weg wohnen würden .. das wäre eines unserer Stammlokale.
