Very cool place to meet up with friends. Mega nice selection of drinks! Potato snacks also super delicious. The service is very nice and the quiz evenings are also super cool. We'll be back!

We went there for breakfast and it was really tasty. What I found unfortunate was that the coffee was very thin and the service was very slow due to a lack of coordination. The food took a good three quarters of an hour to arrive. The cold drink order also took a good 15 minutes to arrive, even though the drinks were already ready to be picked up. But overall it was still quite pleasant, so we'll come back again

Employees completely overwhelmed. Despite repeated requests, I waited 40 minutes before I could place the first order. Reordering drinks was also a game of roulette. After I said I wanted to pay, it took another 30 minutes. The waitress's answer was always the same: "Sorry, I forgot it." Employing students as waiters is a good thing. However, training should also be provided.

Just genius. I don't want to describe it any further here in words. You have to experience it to be believed. The beer garden, which you wouldn't expect at this point, is very cozy and unique in its kind in Duisburg. On top of that, the price and performance of food and drinks are also right. You don't believe that? Go and you will be taught otherwise.

If you're more interested in eating here than enjoying the huge, good beer selection, there's good news: Yes, the food is really good. The small downside is that for 3 euros you only get half a handful of fries and the good dipping sauces also cost extra. Yes, you get full, but then you're always over 20 euros just for food. Then a beer!

A must in Duisburg. That's where I like KöPi the best in all of Duisburg. It's a shame they swapped the pita bread from the burgers for brioche. It used to be my favorite burger ever. But the food is still fantastic. Always a cool, nice atmosphere.

Perfect through and through. All the employees are so incredibly friendly that I'm just happy to come and receive the nice service. You get the feeling that the working atmosphere internally is really good. A true paradise for alcohol drinkers and also for non-alcohol drinkers you will always find what you are looking for. The waiters can usually recommend something or you can play roulette on the menu with thousands of types of beer. In the winter season, the pub quiz evening on Mondays is highly recommended. Mood is great. Food is top. When the weather is good in the summer season, the beer garden is open and there are occasional parties on certain occasions. For those who get hungry late in the evening when the kitchen is already closed, you will still find dishes on the menu that you can order in the evening - these are also highly recommended, even if the kitchen is still open 🤓 The weekly menu changes regularly and is usually adapted to a specific theme. Breakfast on the weekend is also highly recommended. I really don't know what there is to complain about with the Finkenkrug and the fact that the Finkenkrug has been around forever reinforces the assumption even more ☺️ All regular customers can definitely confirm this! We were there with a group. The selection of beers was more than plentiful and everything was delivered very quickly. The burgers were good and large, but the burger was only slightly spicy. Basically, but very tasty. You can say that the price performance is still right here. Unfortunately there is no parking space. Importantly, the place doesn't look like anything from the outside, but once you're inside, it's really great.

Really cool concept, everyone who likes to drink beer and wants to drink internationally without traveling abroad will be happy here. Prices are lower than at beer fairs/events, for example, and the wide catalog makes it possible to drink in a very diverse way. Had another lovely evening at the Finkenkrug! :) Special praise goes out to the cook! The vegetarian and vegan dishes are really creative! You also notice that when tofu is used in different dishes, it is also seasoned differently! The weekly menu used enoki mushrooms instead of normal mushrooms! As a vegetarian you can just tell that a lot of effort is being put into it and you can see and taste it too 💕🤤

The service was very friendly, attentive and competent. With five people at the table, the orders were assigned correctly without asking, even though the restaurant was busy and the waitress had to look around at several tables. There are a full five stars for this. The cuisine is good, the dishes are deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. The ambience corresponds to that of a "student pub" - it is quite loud when it is full. In the front area it is significantly cooler than in the guest room, and the smoke comes in from the outside area. If the door is opened frequently, then the perception is more that it is a smoking club. May 2024

The Finkenkrug is a kind of student bar, with food on offer and many types of beer. For my part, I was overwhelmed by all the different types of beer. It was a lot of fun to test your way through some of these. I'll definitely stop by every now and then.

A relatively hidden, wonderful gastro pub with an incredibly wide range of beers and, above all, a unique breakfast menu from many different countries. We opted for the British breakfast, a first class choice! The breakfast was very tasty, rich and attractively prepared. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was appropriate, especially since we were able to sit in the beer garden when the weather was very good. We will definitely visit the gastro pub again.

I always enjoy going to the Finkenkrug! I was definitely here more often when I was still at the University of DUE, but even now it's always nice to study the beer menu! It's just a shame that this has now been reduced to a list view ;)

Rustic, original, huge selection of beer and drinks, very busy, therefore noisy.

We were thrilled! Food was super tasty, burgers, fries and the desserts were really good! The beers were all cold and fizzy, as were the bottled ciders! (Especially Brothers Toffe Apple Cider is a real highlight!) Prices are okay, if a bit high, the staff is friendly but really busy! Clean toilets, card payment possible. Only the volume in the front "glass room" is really extreme, which is much more pleasant in the rest of the finch pitcher. Games can be rented for a deposit. We'll definitely be back!!!

What can you write, a mega selection of special beers from all over the world, some even on tap, delicious food, all there for a sociable gathering. A successful evening.

An unusual card. Lobster with tagliatelle, French mussels, skrei or my bouillabaisse with rouille. It's clear to everyone that you can't expect a whole lobster in a "pub" like this given the prices. For me it was a surprisingly nice evening with good food. I wasn't the only one who enjoyed my traditional fish soup with various fish additions. However, I also have something to complain about. A rouille served from the fridge to the table can never develop its full range of flavors at this temperature. Still, everything is very good. Thanks

We have been meeting monthly at the Finkenkrug for several years. Unfortunately, we discovered that the service in particular has become increasingly phlegmatic, unprofessional and sometimes even unfriendly. In addition, carbon dioxide is now being saved. Tip for the tapper: a Budweiser without H2CO3 tastes stale and like liquor. This is not what you expect in a beer bar. If the waiter (by the way, he only carries drinks from A to B and leaves the dirty dishes and plates on the table) claims that the Pilsener is tapped at 3 bar, something is probably wrong. Furthermore, the dishes on the special menu are rarely available. Good restaurant management looks different.

Today I was a guest again after years. This time also at lunchtime for dinner. Absolutely positive experience. The store has developed positively 👍. Friendly staff, solid food (price also absolutely ok). And you can pay by card. That doesn't seem to be that common around here. Gladly again. Probably again in the evening 🍻 😋

As a long-time regular customer, I unfortunately have to say that I have been increasingly disappointed since the Finkenkrug changed ownership. The portions have become smaller and the taste has also deteriorated. Fries are now only offered in a small bowl and the coleslaw salad is served in an even smaller metal cup, which dulls the taste metallic. Today I reached the point where, after 15 years of loyal customers, I sent the food back to the kitchen for the first time. Unfortunately, a replacement was not offered, which I would have expected out of customer friendliness.

Die top Adresse des Ruhrpotts für Bierfans. Nen laden der ständig über 300 Bier auf Lager hat und davon ne ganze Latte on tap ist ja schon selten. Dazu kommen hier noch faire Preise und für eine Kneipe ausgezeichnetes Essen und die gute Lage. Was will man mehr?

Super Laden, klassische Studentenkneipe mit Kniffel, Kartenspiel und flotter Bedienungsmannschaft. Das Essen wird von Jahr zu Jahr besser. Die Auswahl an Bier muss man jedoch auch bezahlen wollen... Günstige Möglichkeiten sind jedoch gut versteckt. Die Bedienung ist immer hilfsbereit das optimale (Preis/Leistung/Geschmack) Verhältnis zu finden. Ich bin sehr gerne dort !

Sehr coole Bar/Restaurant. Mit vielen Events, wie Bar Quiz, oder Überraschungsbieren. Die Auswahl an Bieren ist irre. Internationale oder Saisonbiere aller Fasson. Sehr viel Auswahl und super engagierte und schnelle Servicekräfte. 5 Sterne plus!

30 Minuten warten und 3 mal nachfragen um überhaupt Mal bedient zu werden, ist echt traurig. Da hatten wir auch keine Lust mehr was zu essen zu bestellen...

Soweit alles OK aber, gute Auswahl an Bieren. Aber Besuch Sonntags : Leider stimmen aber die Öffnungszeiten in Google wohl Sonntags nicht. Sonntags dort gewesen um 21.45 wurden wir direkt beim Eintritt an der darauf Tür drauf hingewiesen, das die Zapfanlagen schon zu sind.Sind dann direkt wieder gegangen.Weg umsonst.

Auf Grund des hervorragenden Frühstücks gibt's hier die 4 Sterne. Der Service war freundlich, jedoch etwas schleppend. Der Raum in dem wir saßen war so kalt, dass sich die Frauen eine Decke nehmen mussten. Schade.

Fassbiere echt nicht gut gekühlt. Wird einem köpi etc nicht gerecht. Schon mehrmals aufgefallen. Service top.

Natürtlich eine Institution in Duisburg. Ich kenne den Finkenkrug seit 2008, als ich damals mein Studium begonnen habe. Paar Umzüge später, wohne ich nun zufällig ums Eck. 1 Stern Abzug aufgrund: Es gibt über 200 Biersorten, aber seit Langem keine ordentliche Bierkarte mehr, nur noch einen DIN A4-Zettel. Die Biere sind mitunter gelegentlich über dem Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum, wenn man dies prüft. Öfters sind Biere nicht vorhanden. Man muss teilweise lange auf den Service warten. Wofür ich aber weitere 2 Sterne abziehe: Aus meiner langjährigen Erfahrung als Gast kann ich empfehlen, selber nachzurechnen und die Endsumme zu prüfen. Das hat mir schon Geld gespart, da sich der Service gerne verrechnet.
