I think the poor service in general is a real shame because we often go there with friends. But last night the waitress or I don't know if she was the head waitress came up front with a very bad tone and very arrogant just because I wanted to pay up front and couldn't wait any longer for the waitress on the table outside. Even though I told her we like to come here often, my cousin from England was shocked. Ah and she didn't even apologize!!!

The food is very good there, some of it isn't exactly cheap, but everything has become expensive. Good selection of food and drinks. Parking spaces are plentiful. The restaurant is usually full, so it makes sense to make a reservation.

We had the breakfast buffet there. A really good selection and at a really good price. Service is top, friendly, clears up very quickly, and reordering drinks is quick. We were really impressed and would happily recommend it.

Always an opportunity to have a sumptuous breakfast!!! (No matter whether in Essen or in Bochum) The only drawback is the noise in the restaurant, as the acoustics are like those in a train station. If everyone spoke a little quieter, it simply wouldn't be so loud! ;-) Since the outdoor areas are also very nicely designed, there are "escape options". The service is always excellent.

Everything was great and everything was delicious

We were there for breakfast and chose the buffet. There was a large selection of rolls, bread, pastries, sausage, cheese, salad, etc. It was always freshly refilled. There were also waffles and pancakes. You could make your own Creoes and top them to your liking. Every buffet had an orange juice (bottled or freshly squeezed for an additional charge). Unfortunately, the rolls were "just" baked rolls, but they were very tasty. When the weather is nice you can sit outside (sun or shade - whatever you prefer). The staff was friendly and prompt, even though it was quite busy. Always reserve a table on the weekend (online), otherwise you probably won't get a seat

A beautiful place to relax with a coffee or meal. Food is always top notch and prepared quickly. Employees always ask about your well-being and take care of it quickly. I'd love to come here.

We were able to enjoy our food and drinks very nicely outside in the great outdoors and were excellently pampered by a waitress. Unfortunately I didn't remember the name. She has ironed out Bar Celona's service weaknesses! She deserved to be mentioned by name!

For a while we often went to Bar Celona with our gang, which was a.G. the good parking situation and the opening times. Almost every time I ordered a latte macchiato and a plate of Kunterbunt for dessert, which has always been possible without any problems in the past. On our last visit we were refused the plate Kunterbunt because it was supposedly only for children. My objection that I had been receiving this for some time was ignored with an arrogant "only for children" and the waitress left our table in the middle of the conversation without explanation. My friends and I were shocked by the rudeness, as we had always enjoyed coming here. The product is neither marked as a children's product on the menu nor on the internet, but can be seen regularly on the adult menu. I raised this as an objection to the waitress, but from then on she ignored our table and there was nothing left for us. Another employee then came to collect. Since a new restaurant opened a little further away with a similar concept, we have been using the other one since then.

We were there for breakfast on Sunday. The buffet was just great. A large selection of various types of bread and rolls, spreads, sausage and cheese. Our highlight were the make-your-own crepes. It's really all there. The only negative point is the immense noise caused by the high, open rooms.

The best place ever to sit, chat, eat, drink. What can I say, I've been here so many times. The service, the employees are always great, I've never met an employee in a bad mood. So I/we can recommend the finca again and again . Top top!!

Very nice atmosphere, very attentive and quick service and very tasty food. It's a bit hidden but easy to reach. It's better to reserve in advance but it's worth it. The food is absolutely delicious and plentiful, it really fills you up.

beautiful interior, you feel a bit like you're on vacation. I also ate a lot of smoked salmon and had no problems with stomach pain afterwards. A bit expensive in my opinion for the selection.

So far a good restaurant. However, the prices for breakfast on weekends are completely excessive. A family with 2 children can easily start at 80 euros with drinks.

Caesar salad and lemonade with watermelon flavor, it was great. My first lunch without having to run after the children, because there is a children's park within the restaurant. Wonderful indeed. A very large selection of food and drinks. I'm so happy ❤️

👩‍🦽🧑‍🦯 More for younger audiences, but that's totally fine too. The selection of dishes is in keeping with the concept of this chain. The service is young, friendly, committed and also competent. Only access for wheelchair users is less comfortable; the path to the toilet for disabled people is a bit long, as there are several levels with steps in the room. The path then leads over the outside ramp. There are two parking spaces for disabled people. So, for anyone who likes this cuisine, definitely a recommendation.

Good food in a beautiful location

I was there twice with a group and the Bar Celona team was always super flexible and nice! The breakfast buffet was not ordinary and the selection was great. During a lunch visit we were able to try a lot of things, from salads to bowls and tapas, and everyone out of over 20 people was really satisfied. We/I would love to come back!

Had breakfast in the finca today. Almost 18 euros just for breakfast without coffee is too expensive. The buffet is quite confusing. No labeling on the buffet. I was here years ago and the selection was bigger. I was asked by the service whether everything was good, I mentioned what I didn't like, the service person wanted to start a discussion with me about it, you can always ask what's in where. The last time I was here was for breakfast. Just one star today. I'll only come to you in the evening...that's when you get all the stars. Best regards Petra

Kitchen typically system catering, but OK. But not a highlight either. Pleasant coworkers. Unfortunately very loud inside. Especially in the winter garden. Bare wall on the left plus window front on the right and zero acoustic absorbers, no wonder you feel like you're in the train station hall.

I ordered a bowl without jalapeños and repeated this request twice. Still, I got a bowl with jalapeños. When I asked if they could make the bowl without jalapeños, they simply removed the jalapeños. The spiciness was still there and some jalapeños were still under the salad. That was really annoying. In addition, the portions are far too small.

We really enjoy going here. Nice service, no long waiting times, good food. There is something for everyone. You can also eat healthy. Children's playground outside. Very nice, just loud inside. I can also recommend breakfast, the buffet is really cheap during the week. But it's also great on the weekend and even bigger than during the week

Breakfast buffet was super tasty. Enough choice. You could make your own crepe. 👍Staff friendly. It was super crowded at the buffet at the beginning. Later it spread well. We didn't get a parking space directly at the restaurant.

The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The food is ok, rather convenience, which is normal in such chains. The breakfast buffet is great! The changing table is always very well maintained and is beautifully designed. As a rule, diapers are even available in different sizes. Great service!

Very chic location. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was also really tasty 😋. We stopped there on our bike tour across the Ruhr area and had a bowl each. Not that cheap at 14 or 15 euros, but a good composition and, as I said, really good in taste. We would definitely come back!

We were there for breakfast and chose the buffet. There was plenty of choice. Every coffee also came with a small bottle. Orange juice. Unfortunately the rolls are baked rolls and weren't quite my thing, but everything else was very 😋. The toilets were clean. There are plenty of parking spaces available and ♿ fair. When the weather is nice you can sit outside very nicely. There were stairs at the entrance but I don't know if you can use the ♿ to go through the garden.

A menu that has little room for unfulfilled wishes in a tasteful environment. Very friendly and attentive staff. Parking space is more than sufficient. So it's always a pleasure to meet friends there or spend a pleasant time with your family. Even in the most hustle and bustle, the staff remains calm and keeps an overview. What is disturbing, however, is the fact that teenagers and other non-disabled people park in the disabled parking spaces and no one cares about it. The staff should be more present here, especially since these parking spaces are directly in front of the main entrance. Otherwise you can state directly that disabled people are not welcome. Good selection - deliciously prepared - friendly service - I just always notice how badly the onions are cut - coarse, thick slices - hasn't anyone there learned/seen how to finely cut onions for a Mettbrötchen? The orange juice could also simply be served in a glass and not in extra mini bottles - for the sake of the environment...

We were there spontaneously for breakfast with our children during the week. Very friendly staff. Clean sanitary facilities with a well-equipped changing area. There is a very nice play area outside but including a pond. (No problem for our children) There was also a nice play area inside. The buffet was plentiful. Including crepes station and also lots of fruit and vegetables and other delicacies outside the standard. There was no music outside, which is why it was very quiet there and you didn't notice how busy it was. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Of course it was rush hour but we never waited long for our orders. Due to its location in the commercial area, there are plenty of parking spaces and you can sit relaxed without much noise from cars. We would happily recommend it again.

The service is super fast and the drinks were at the table quickly! The pizza we ordered arrived pretty cold after over an hour and was also extremely hard because it had probably been forgotten under the heat bridge!

There are a lot of private events and weekends are often so full that you can hardly get space or a parking space without prior reservation. :/ It may speak for the beauty of the place, but we've tried it three times the last few times and it hasn't worked once. The last time was a private event in the evening at 7 p.m. on a weekday. Mind blowing 🥲

Very very loud, very very loud music like wdr2 or 1 live roar, packed. We had reserved a room for our group and every time a waitress came in, we had to stop talking to bring something, the roar from the restaurant was so loud. And the room was in a corner on the first floor. Food was good, although the bowl curry wasn't that warm and the rice was sticky

I went to Celona today to pick up my daughter and her boyfriend, we only had drinks but the atmosphere was great, they both loved their iced coffee. The outside area in particular was very chilled out. The service was super friendly and even knew something about the history of the restaurant.
