Durch Zufall sind wir auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden und waren neugierig. Wir haben es von Anfang an nicht bereut. Angefangen beim sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Personal, zur Vorspeise und zum Hauptgang war alles so wie es sein muss: Perfekt. Danke , wir kommen garantiert wieder 🥰

Ich habe dort leider überfordertes Personal erlebt, was sich deutlich auf den gesamten Eindruck ausgewirkt hat. Das Essen war zwar lecker und grundsätzlich gut zubereitet, allerdings konnte das Dessert überhaupt nicht überzeugen und wirkte lieblos gemacht. Insgesamt hatte ich den Eindruck, dass alles sehr schnell abgewickelt wurde, als ob die Tische möglichst rasch wieder frei werden sollten. Dadurch entstand eine hektische Atmosphäre, in der man sich als Gast nicht wirklich willkommen oder entspannt gefühlt hat. Sehr schade …

Das Essen war köstlich – auch wenn die Portionen nicht riesig sind, lohnt es sich absolut. Die Hähnchenspieße waren hervorragend, ebenso das Bier. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, und die Bedienung sprach gut Englisch. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir sind immer sehr sehr gerne da! So ein Restaurant ist eine Bereicherung für Solingen. das Ambiente ist wunderschön! Ich würde mir mehr Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichte wünschen, man wird dennoch fündig.

Ein ganz wunderbares Restaurant, hier stimmt alles! Am besten fand ich das Künefe (Nachspeise). Das Einzige was mir interpretierbar negativ aufgefallen ist (nicht schlimm), ist Folgendes: Die Kellnerin hat eine sehr deutlich andere Stimme, wenn sie direkt mit Kunden spricht (freundlich) und eine, wenn sie beim Weggehen noch etwas sagt, die Stimme ist zwar normal, aber im Kontrast deutlich abgekühlter. Das hat mich etwas irritiert. Aber ansonsten und auch inklusive eine klare 5/5.

Wir kamen um 14.28 Uhr zum Mittagstisch in diese Restaurant.Als uns die Kellerin sah,zog Sie ein langes Gesicht, doch mein Mann fragte höflich nach einem Tisch.Die Kellnerin sagte uns es gebe nur ein Mittagstisch und wir müssten uns beeilen mit dem Essen und zeigte uns etwas in der Karte am Tresen. Wir fragten, wie Sie das meinte und Sie gab uns die Antwort, innerhalb von 20 Minuten müssten wir fertig sein mit dem essen.WAT ?? Wir saßen noch nicht mal !! Das haben wir noch nie erlebt !! So kann man sich ganz schnell Gäste verkraulen, aber auch keine neuen dazu gewinnen. Frechheit pur. Ps: Wir hätten gerne das Restaurant getest,aber so......

Wir waren heute das erste Mal dort essen und waren wirklich absolut begeistert. Tolles Ambiente, aufmerksamer freundlicher Service und das Essen war ein Traum. Wir haben wirklich selten so fantastisch gegessen. Die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend, die Qualität hervorragend. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und freuen uns schon heute auf das nächste Mal. Herzlichen Dank für einen rundum gelungenen Abend!

Ein seit Jahren im Zentrum von Solingen gelegenes Mediterran-Orientalisches Restaurant. Direkt im Zentrum von Solingen gelegen und mit Bus oder Auto leicht zu erreichen. Parkplätze entweder in den umliegenden Straßen oder im direkt gegenüber liegenden Einkaufszentrum vorhanden. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für heutige Zeiten vollkommen ok und die Portionen sind dementsprechend angemessen. Vor allem der täglich wechselnde Mittagstisch zu günstigeren Preisen lädt ein. Ambiente ist schön gehalten aber bei vollem Lokal ist die Geräuschkulisse etwas laut und erschwert die Kommunikation etwas. Die Lage macht den Besuch am Abend etwas abenteuerlich da sie in einem Brennpunkt der Stadt liegt. Im großen und ganzen aber dennoch empfehlenswert 👍🏼

Der Service war mal wieder sensationell gut. Alles perfekt . Essen, Service und Getränke.....

Mittagskarte ist eine tolle Gelegenheit das Restaurant zu testen. Tolle Qualität zu einem wirklich guten Preis im Bereich von knapp 15€ für ein Hauptgericht. Geschmacklich war alles wirklich erstklassig, gut gewürzt und besonders schön angerichtet. Teilweise schienen mir die Speisen aber nicht 100%ig durchdacht. Beispiel: (1) gebratene Sardellen mit Kartoffeln ganz ohne irgendeine Art von Dip/Sauce, also etwas trocken. (2) Garnelen in extrem viel (leckerer) Paprika-Sahnesauce, aber ohne Brot/Reis um die Sauce zu nutzen. (3) Schnitzel mit einem sehr cremigen Joghurt/Majo-Kartoffelsalat, aber dann mit zusätzlicher Majo, die man zu dem Gericht wirklich nicht brauchte.

Waren am zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag mit der Familie zum Essen. Ganz toller Service und das Essen war sehr lecker. Kann ich absolut empfehlen.

Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtstag da und es war ausnahmsweise nicht viel los. Wir konnten trotzdem noch ganz in Ruhe sitzen und den Abend genießen ohne Druck zu bekommen, aufzubrechen. Das Essen und die Getränke sind hier ebenso wie der Service immer großartig. Mit Abstand das beste Restaurant in der Innenstadt.

SO muss es sein! Lecker war es. 2** Abzug auf Grund der über-arroganten, asiatischen Kellnerin, welche der so netten, kurzhaarigen Bedienung vor den Gästen 'über den Mund fährt'. Das war für Alle sehr unangenehm!!! Diese Kellnerin kann von allen anderen Bedienungen vor Ort noch viel lernen.

Wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend bei gutem Essen und trinken verbracht. Jederzeit wieder! Sehr empfehlenswert!!

The food was very good, however, the staff should take responsibility for their own mistakes, such as bringing the wrong dish instead of trying to pass it off on the customer. Refusing to serve the customer afterward is completely unacceptable. Therefore, I will not be returning.

We ate here to celebrate my son's birthday. Everything was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the birthday boy even received a little surprise at the end. We've been here several times before and will definitely be back ☺️

The new Fasil is unfortunately far too loud, with an atmosphere reminiscent of a train station restaurant. What a shame.

The food is good, the portions are decent, though perhaps a bit overpriced by €5 here and there, and the service is generally friendly. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait for our table twice already – once for 15 minutes, once for 20 minutes. The ambiance has also deteriorated, as more and more tables have been added over the years, and you're packed in like a sardine. Nevertheless, if you appreciate good food and have the cash to spare, you'll be in good hands here.

Superb food, friendly service, and a chic restaurant. Plenty of space for larger groups to celebrate special occasions. Prices are a bit higher, but you get high-quality food. Definitely try the chocolate lava cake. 10/10 😇

We used Fasil's catering service for a large event with around 50 people – and we were absolutely thrilled! The selection of dishes was very diverse, outstanding in taste, and perfectly coordinated. Everything was fresh, lovingly prepared, and delivered on time. Excellent value for money! We would especially like to highlight Mehmet, the owner. He was extremely accommodating, attentive, and professional from the very beginning. All our requests were met flexibly, and the entire organization ran smoothly and reliably. Fasil not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. We can wholeheartedly recommend the catering service and will definitely book them again!

We usually went there in the evenings, except for one time this time for lunch. I highly recommend it for dinner. Absolutely fantastic food, and the service is very good both at lunch and in the evening. Unfortunately, the food at lunch was significantly below the standard we were used to and tasted somewhat like ready-made/packaged sauce. Perhaps they have a different approach/chef at lunch than in the evening. That would be a real shame, because I've always found the evenings to be exceptionally good without exception.

Fasil is a real highlight in Solingen for anyone who wants to enjoy upscale Turkish-Mediterranean cuisine in a stylish ambience. With its excellent service, tasteful furnishings and excellent food selection, it offers an all-round successful experience. Whether for a romantic dinner, a convivial evening with friends or a special celebration - Fasil is definitely worth a visit.

First of all, the food is very good!!! BUT it is packed and very narrow. The service also suffers as a result. It's a shame because the kitchen deserves at least 6 stars!

The food is super delicious. Everything is great. Except for the one waitress with very short hair or a short bob and glasses, she is unfortunately very unfriendly and gets annoyed if you don't understand or hear her because of the noise outside. No smile to be seen on the face. Unfortunately, she also seems annoyed when you reorder something. It's not clear at all. If you can't deal with customers, maybe take up another job :)

This restaurant is usually fully booked in advance - and rightly so. The food is incredibly authentic and high quality. The meat from the charcoal grill in particular is always excellently prepared and of the best quality. If you want to eat here, you should definitely make a reservation in advance. A real insider tip for all fans of Turkish cuisine!

I'd like to confirm my original review; after several visits, I still highly recommend Fasil. I only find the newfangled pouring measure (0.15 l) for wine a bit annoying; I expect puddles in the water more in a gourmet shop than in a down-to-earth Turkish restaurant. By the way, you can park for free on Saturday evenings and Sundays in the nearby Birkenweiher parking lot. ---------- 2024 Review: At the beginning of the year, just for fun—just for us—we chose the restaurants in the surrounding area that have never disappointed us. Service and value for money were, of course, also taken into account. Haus Stemberg (Velbert) and our former Michelin-starred restaurant Heldmann (now history for us) are undoubtedly among the award winners. In the lower price segment, there are the Restaurant Bergischer Löwe (Wermelskirchen), the Osteria Windhövelchen (Haan), the Al Howara (Wuppertal), and "last but not least," the Fasil. We have appreciated the Fasil for many years and are familiar with the previous premises, which fell victim to the new Sparkasse building. Now, the restaurant has been located a few doors down for some time now. Here, too, we appreciate the sophisticated ambiance, the well-designed bar area, the orderly table setting, and especially the good room acoustics; even with a full house, the noise level has been quite acceptable. On Sundays after the movies, we've always been lucky without a reservation and got one of the sometimes quite close-packed tables for two. Despite the numerous seats, a reservation is recommended for Friday and Saturday evenings. The place is buzzing! The service staff is always friendly and attentive to the guests. One young gentleman in particular stood out, who has a good eye on his area and usually notices even empty glasses immediately. Furthermore, the friendly manager is usually present. We happily share a generous mixed starter plate with lightly toasted flatbread, followed by the grilled meat platter for one person. We're completely stuffed afterward. On our last visit, we had two main courses, preceded by a portion of ezme. This traditional salsa made with peppers, parsley, chili, garlic, and onions couldn't be better; it's slightly spicy, has no bitter notes, and is perfectly seasoned. We've never had it as good as here. The grilled platter is also consistently impressive in terms of both taste and quality; the meat is well-cooked, juicy, and has lovely roasted aromas. The Turkish rice is just as I've had the pleasure of trying it in a private setting. Bulgur or potato chips are also available as a side dish. The crisp, fresh side salad with honey-mustard dressing and the two dips, a slightly sweet cocktail sauce, and cacik, are very good, although we think it could have used a bit more garlic. Okay, €28.50 is a bit of a price these days, but it's still reasonable for the quality offered. I know other restaurants that are drastically overdoing it these days! My boyfriend enjoyed an eggplant stuffed with ground beef and onions, served with spicy tomato sauce, natural yogurt, and rice. Good drink selection! Not mainstream like in many Turkish restaurants that serve alcohol. They even offer my favorite rosé wine, Rosa dei Frati, by the bottle. A clear recommendation! In this price range, one of the best addresses in the city of blades!

We went to Fasil for the first time on a recommendation. As soon as we were greeted, we were greeted in a very friendly manner and escorted to our table. Our waitress at the table was a very warm and understanding woman with a lot of humor - really great! We ordered different starters and main courses and swapped them with each other. Everything was very tasty, nice and hot and prepared with love. About our starters: The Sigara Börek were beautifully prepared, not too greasy despite being fried/baked and the yoghurt-garlic dip was perfect. The baked zucchini and aubergines were also delicious, not finished and with a super delicious dip. The stuffed and baked mushrooms were also a highlight. My main course was the stuffed eggplant. Very well prepared, in a delicious tomato sauce, filled with minced meat and onions and gratinated with cheese. Add some baked vegetables and rice with garlic-yoghurt sauce. Really recommended! Price performance was great, there was even a notice for all guests from 9 p.m. about the cocktail happy hours, which also applies to non-alcoholic cocktails. We have been to FASIL in Solingen several times - and each time it was an all-round great experience. The food is of outstanding quality, freshly prepared and served with great attention to detail. FASIL has also impressed us several times as a catering partner. We hire the restaurant for private parties at least twice a year, and every time everything was perfectly organized - from the food to the communication. We ate at Fasil with a larger group. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty. We particularly enjoyed the warm appetizer platter for two people. Despite the restaurant being full, the food for our group of 15 arrived at the same time. Really a compliment to the kitchen organization and service. The ambience was also very appealing. If we feel like Turkish cuisine again, we would love to come back to Fasil in Solingen. For us, the journey from Remscheid was worth it.

We ate at Fasil for the first time on a weekday with 2 friends (i.e. 4 people) and that was definitely the last time. When first placing the order for drinks, the waitress was quite overwhelmed and distracted. She often had to ask again and, strangely enough, couldn't remember for 5 seconds what had been ordered. Overall she seemed disorganized. Here we thought ok, it's full and maybe she's having a bad day. Then came the drinks we ordered, where moldy berries were used as a visually appealing decoration. Looks nice, but is more than inappropriate. This shouldn't happen in a kitchen! Never, should something like that happen. The waitress apologized and said she would let the kitchen know. Little did we know that this wouldn't be the only mold faux pas. We ordered the starter platters with cold and warm starters, each for 2 people. The dips were ok, but I've had much better in many Turkish and Arabic restaurants. It is very light in terms of spices and is somewhat tailored to the German palate. The bread was ok, I don't think it was homemade, if it was then it would have to be rated worse. For the main course I had the grilled variations and my wife had the Iskender (meat bread cubes and tomato sauce with yoghurt). The grilled meat was ok. In oriental cuisine, the lamb is usually seasoned with a little cinnamon because it acts as a flavor enhancer and makes the lamb taste really good. The important thing is “seasoned” and not “soaked”. Everything tasted very much like cinnamon, so you thought of Christmas cookies. The minced skewer tasted very strange and the person opposite didn't eat it either because we both thought the mince was no longer completely fresh or that it was so poorly seasoned. Until then, with very mixed feelings, we came to dessert. We took 2 desserts that we wanted to share between the four of us. Once there was the baklava and the Balli yoghurt. Lo and behold, both came with moldy fruit as decoration. And it was the same varieties again that were moldy. This is a complete impudence and is dangerous to your health. The chef who was there that evening, we come from the catering industry ourselves, would have been warned by me and given a leave of absence. The four of us paid just under €250 there. There was no reasonable excuse for this really unsuccessful meal and this incomprehensible double faux pas with the moldy fruit. As a restaurateur, I would have sunk into the ground in shame and would definitely have at least removed the "moldy" drinks or desserts from the bill. Our conclusion is that it is a completely unfairly praised restaurant that delivers medium quality food. The quality of the meat is not outstanding, but is in a normal range. We won't be visiting Fasil again, and not just because mold on food is an absolute "no go" and cannot be excused, but more because of how the situation is handled. Laughing as a service when mold appears on the food for the second time and saying I can't help it is simply no way to deal with such a difficult situation. An immediate apology should be made, the owner who was there should have taken care of it because there was mold on the food the second time, and my chef should have personally apologized to the guests. It is not enough to point out that the boss PERSONALLY brings the new dessert. Wow? This happens when restaurants are subject to hype and the owner thinks, it doesn't matter, other guests will come to eat. I'll just tell you one thing, as soon as the economy gets worse and you have to fight for guests, you would be happy if we were there as guests.

Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait to be seated and then it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The service was disorganized and it seemed like some guests were being given preferential treatment. Overall not a satisfactory experience.

This restaurant is a very quiet and a nice modern restaurant which I would recommend to everyone. Because it has really delicious food and as a starter there is salad. Let yourself be surprised by the dishes.

We had our company's Christmas party there on a Friday. Service was completely fine for a Friday evening before Christmas. Friendly and polite. Drinks came quickly. Waiting time for food is completely acceptable considering the full store. Dry bread without dips was only served upon request. I don't know that. The price/performance ratio for the food is only partially correct. 29 euros for a grill plate with rice that was a far cry from Turkish rice. It's almost shameful what Turkish rice was served there. Was also communicated. Otherwise the food is pretty average. With the turnover at our table, we wouldn't even be offered tea or something similar on the house. You then had to ask several times. Then you were asked to vacate tables when you had finished drinking so that other guests who came without a reservation could get the tables. Not hospitable but simply sales oriented. Everyone has to know for themselves what they expect for their money.

This restaurant is a great place to enjoy!

We have eaten at Fasil several times and have always been satisfied. On my husband's birthday I ordered catering for 17 people worth €680 to be delivered to my home and unfortunately I wasn't satisfied. Lamb chops, salmon fillet, chicken stir fry, eggplant salad and lentil meatballs. When I asked for a price, I was only sent a price list and had to calculate the total price myself, and there was never an invoice. The salmon in the herb sauce was unfortunately a bit dry, but still tasty, but the cold dish (lentil meatballs) was unfortunately not freshly prepared. My guests and I (who I had given a bit of everything to) noticed this the next morning, as they were despite being stored in the fridge smelled strange and tasted just as strange. That doesn't work at all. Although I shared this as feedback (via Whatsapp, as was all the communication), I never received a response. No apology, nothing - even though I already announced that I had the next big celebration in a month and wanted to order there again. Of course I didn't do that! Too bad!

I have been to the previous restaurant and the current one countless times, whether for lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, our experience last night was very unpleasant. As a family we had reserved for 16 people and came with 17. Unfortunately we had to move together and were not given an additional chair. Nobody was allowed to sit in front of the head. This was (for our standards) with a very stroppy and arrogant tone: “No, that’s not possible. “You have reserved for 16 people.” commented. The man (owner) of the waitress then apologized with free starters. She stopped apologizing for her behavior - No Go! Admittedly, I was in Fasil for a little longer. Some voices saying “It’s not the same anymore” have been confirmed. I was very surprised at the prices in Düsseldorf - €25 for Adana and only one meat skewer. Higher prices, less food - a shame. It was noticeable that some companies had a similar situation when it came to dividing the table into several tables. They didn't seem very happy either. More mass and less class.
