Unfortunately, I suffered from food poisoning. Hygiene is not observed. The meat smells spoiled. If you don't want to get sick, you should avoid it if possible. If you're skimping on quality, you should shut the place down.

I used to eat here regularly, a few years ago... now I haven't been back for a very long time, a few years again... and it was basically the same as always... but about an hour later, I broke out in a cold sweat and felt nauseous. This lasted the whole evening until I vomited and had diarrhea all night... that was definitely the last time!! You pay money not to die at the end of the day from the consequences of the food...

A place full of memories – my favorite restaurant in Essen since day one, and now it's been over 15 years... I still remember my first visit to this restaurant very clearly – as if it were yesterday. It was a very special day, because from that moment on, I knew: Everything is just right here. The warmth, the delicious food, the warm atmosphere – this place has been an integral part of my life ever since. The many Wednesdays I spent here with my father are particularly close to my heart. After his chemotherapy treatments, we often came straight here. It was our small, special moment during a difficult time – we ate together, talked, and sometimes just enjoyed each other in silence. My father loved this place as much as I did. And there was one thing he particularly enjoyed: the large, colorful fruit cocktail. He drank it with a smile, even on the most difficult days. Yesterday I was there with my daughter – and it was nice to pass on this tradition. We had the shawarma menu, as always fresh, spicy, and simply delicious – for just €10. The fruit cocktail for €7 was once again a highlight, generous and lovingly prepared. What I particularly appreciate is that nothing has changed here over the years – in the best sense of the word. The food is consistently delicious, the prices fair, and the people warm. For me, this restaurant is much more than just a place to eat – it's a place full of memories, warmth, and gratitude. Thank you to the entire team – for your heart, your consistency, and for all the wonderful moments I've been able to experience here. ❤️

Very good and friendly staff and the food is delicious

The tastiest falafel I know! Whether to take away or as a falafel plate: both are highly recommended. Very nice service. For dessert, I recommend a fruit cocktail from the cocktail counter at the back of the restaurant. Freshly made and very tasty. It consists of various fruits and a kind of "semolina pudding" (don't know the exact name, sorry) and contains no alcohol. Alternatively, there are also various fruit juices.

Absolutely recommended – Arabesk is great! I absolutely loved the Arabesk restaurant! The Arabic specialties were simply amazing – incredibly tasty, fresh and prepared with a lot of love. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the price-performance ratio is really great: you pay very fair prices for the excellent quality. The service was also friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back and can highly recommend Arabesk!

I've known the shop for ages; it used to be a few blocks further towards the city center. I like to eat when I'm hungry, they work cleanly, quickly and friendly. The food is cheap and delicious.

While passing through Essen, I was recommended this restaurant to break my fast with a 20 euro menu, and it was excellent and the staff very friendly.

From crispy falafel to creamy hummus to perfect manakish - everything here tastes like it's in Lebanon! The ingredients are fresh, the spices are perfectly balanced, and the portions are more than generous. Added to this is the warm hospitality, which makes the visit even more special. If you are looking for a real oriental breakfast experience, you should definitely stop by here. We'll definitely be back!

Stable 4. Food lacks that certain something. Price performance rather difficult. Very loud and the cocktail bar is somehow separate.

An absolute recommendation if you want to quickly eat something delicious at night. The shop is open very late and is the first place for me as a Essener if I want something to eat after 10 p.m. As an Essener, you know the shop anyway. Known for its delicious chicken skewer rolls, falafel rolls and freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Very tasty and, above all, without all the chicness that you find in some gentrified districts in Essen. Here you can find real, authentic and, above all, delicious cuisine from Lebanon at affordable prices and top quality!

I was very disappointed with my visit to the Arabesk restaurant in Essen. The prices are completely excessive for what you get. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was very disappointing - far from the authentic, aromatic Arabic cuisine that I was expecting. For the price I would have expected much better quality and taste. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We ordered shawarma box, all that came was some meat and pommes.It didn't taste well either. Don't order shawarma box, maybe try something else.

Very tasty and fresh food. Everything was juicy and well seasoned, hummus and tabbouleh are highly recommended. Meat skewers freshly grilled and with a delicious dip. So the food was absolutely top. However, the sanitary facilities urgently need to be cleaned again.

An inconspicuous shop that you would rather pass by. But here you can find delicious food, whether it's meat or vegetarian. The prices have always been cheaper than in other stores. If you order food at the table there is salad and bread on the house.

One of the best places to have a street food

I went to the restaurant this evening after seeing the opening times at home which stated until 01:00. I was there at 11:40pm to order two fruit cocktails as I am pregnant and often crave this Lebanese smoothie. Unfortunately my wish wasn't fulfilled because an employee told me that it was already closed and no more cocktails were being made. I therefore ask you to update the opening hours to save time and effort. Left the restaurant with tears in my eyes because I couldn't satisfy my cravings. 😢

Always delicious and packed at peak times. The store also offers smoothies. But the smoothie seller operates separately and is closed on Mondays.

I can't say 100% that it was because of the fruit cocktail, but I suddenly became ill the same evening after drinking a fruit cocktail there and had a severe upset stomach. I had sweats and couldn't eat because I was nauseous and had a bad headache. Expired fruit used in cocktail?

Some dishes cost more than what is on the menu. The small vegetable plate is also brought to the table without request and is charged without you being informed. Even Manakish cheese is no longer what it used to be.

Always worth it. I've been going there every time I'm in Essen for years. I originally lived a block away and discovered this gem by chance, but now I come back once or twice a year specifically to eat here. It's always been delicious over the past 8 years. Never had any reason to complain.

The restaurant had its ups and downs. The service was OK, but not outstanding. The food was average and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was okay, but not particularly inviting. Overall I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars and perhaps recommend it to a friend who lives nearby and is looking for an easy meal.

The best and cleanest sandwich, and don’t forget the excellent fruit cocktail, with a unique flavour, and the guys in the shop are some of the nicest people, and I advise everyone to try it.

Bad food. Served cold. Prepared without dedication. The service is miserable. The staff unqualified. The toilet rooms are unclean. Disgusting. The juice cocktail bar is served by rude men. All that's missing is that they attack you or take your money. The ingredients are saved. Saved a lot. Wonder what you pay €6 for. The hype is definitely unfounded. Value for money is miserable. The customer is not valued.

The food was significantly better. The medical facilities are often dirty and there is almost always a lack of soap and drying facilities

I recently dined at a restaurant and tried their crispy meal. Unfortunately, the taste was subpar; it seemed like it was frozen and then fried. The salad was also disappointing. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend dining there.

Super restaurant waar je heerlijk eten krijgt. Vriendelijke medewerkers, beetje ongezellig ingericht. Maar op het eten niks aan te merken. Krijgt zelfs wat extra's vaan de zaak!!
