Exberghütte in Großalmerode

A quaint restaurant. Depending on the day of the week, they offer a schnitzel buffet, which I chose. The food was good, the prices reasonable, and the staff friendly.

Rustic ambience, but the food more than makes up for it

We went there today with a group of 22 men for the schnitzel buffet, followed by a relaxing afternoon. The food was excellent and at a great price. The service was also fast and very friendly. There were no long waits. Many thanks to the team at the Exberghütte. This certainly won't be our last time there.

A lovely cabin to relax in. The play areas for kids are also great. Unfortunately, card payments aren't accepted, so we couldn't eat anything.

A truly fantastic restaurant in the middle of the forest. You won't pass by here by chance, but you can still drive right up to it. They serve schnitzel (vegetarian options available), currywurst, and bockwurst, all of which come with a salad buffet. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is super pleasant. The kitchen is open until about 5 p.m.

Rustic! Schnitzel in all variations. Delicious! Large portions! Moderate prices!

The place, in the middle of the forest and near the lake, is super beautiful. The food is OK, but nothing more. There aren't many options for vegetarians.

Highly recommended, but the food is very limited, basic, nothing special, enough to fill you up, but not much more. Still, a nice hiking destination, (much) better than nothing. The value for money is okay, though not particularly good.

Delicious food for a good price - and you can combine a visit to the restaurant with a walk through the forest :)

A nice, secluded forest restaurant, nestled in the forest, with play equipment for children. The food is good. The atmosphere is pleasant, a great place to go with children and suitable for parties. I returned to the hut after a year and ordered the Exberg schnitzel. The waitress brought me a drink and said I could get the schnitzel and salad from the buffet. The breading on the schnitzel had already fallen off because of the hot plate, the hollandaise sauce was lumpy, and the fries were lukewarm and soggy. Not recommended.

Price performance is right here, had a schnitzel buffet with 5 people. The taste was very good, but you shouldn't set your expectations too high. A nice place for a nice evening with a few drinks.

A beautifully located restaurant, I have come here before with my grandparents. Unfortunately, there is little emphasis on regional cuisine here, the schnitzels are probably not breaded themselves and the currywurst is a disappointment. There is a fantastic butcher in town who would certainly be happy to supply a decent sausage. Highly recommended for a break for a cold beer in summer, unfortunately the food doesn't suit my taste

Beautiful, rustic restaurant and excursion destination in the middle of the forest. In addition to the menu, you can find daily events on the website such as schnitzel buffet, grill buffet, eating goose... and much more. I can only recommend everything, we will be back.

Very nice place with simple and inexpensive food. Since these are already prepared, you will receive quick and friendly service. However, sometimes the food may not be completely hot.

Such a nice excursion restaurant and a hike to Exbergsee is just lovely...

Very nicely located hut. Tasty onion schnitzel. You can sit outside very comfortably. Prices are very moderate. Service quick and very good. Highly recommended. There is a small children's playground.

Celebrated my 60th birthday here. Food was very good. The service looked after us very well until late into the night. My more than 50 invited guests were very satisfied. It wasn't the last time we were there.

5 minutes before closing time, we arrived at the restaurant after a hike. There were only drinks, so I can't comment on the food. The property is beautiful, the restaurant is rustic and cozy. What I liked best was the lovingly furnished playground and the flower oasis in front of the restaurant...We sat in the two beach chairs👍😃

Nice location, but €2 for half a piece of thawed streusel cake from Gut und Günstig is a blast! Prices for coffee are also in the upper price segment, which is probably why there are no menus on the tables anywhere. You will only find out the price when the order is delivered.

Bitte macht weiter so, es war und ist in eurem Lokal immer sehr gemütlich und schön ,einfach gesagt alles sehr gut und 5 Sterne gebe ich sehr gerne mehr geht leider nicht. LG an das gesamte Team der Exberghütte.

Ein tolles Lokal mit leckeren Kuchen und Fairen Preisen. Natürlich kann man hier auch warme Speisen bekommen.

Toller Ort zum Feiern oder auch einfach nur mal so. Ganz ganz liebe Damen im Service, danke! Herrliches Außengelände, innen super gemütlich. Wir hatten aufgrund einer Feier ein Buffet. Die Auswahl war super, leider aber einen Stern Abzug aufgrund der Tatsache, dass es (fast?!) alles Fertigessen war, soweit lecker aber wir hatten ein bisschen höhere Erwartungen, speziell beim Gemüse (TK).

Ich war nun schon mehrfach in der super schön gelegenen Ausflugshütte. Komme oft mit dem E Bike vorbei da es ja doch schon eine Strecke ist von Melsungen. Letztes Jahr hatte ich einmal gefragt ob ich meinen Akku laden dürfe, da ich ja noch einen Umweg auf mich nehmen wollte nach Hause…. Die Bedienung sagte das es kein Problem sei. Als ich dann zahlen wollte traf mich der Schlag als die nette Dame sagte das ich für das laden 3,50 € zahlen solle wobei die Ladung keine 50 Cent gekostet hat. 1-1,50€ wäre ja noch okay gewesen aber alles darüber ist frech ! Das Essen ist immer okay. Durchschnitt finde ich. Man merkt einfach das es immer TK Schnitzel sind und auch sonst nicht viel selbst gemachtes vor Ort angeboten wird. Ich würde mir wünschen bei der kleinen Karte das das ein oder andere Gericht wirklich selber gemacht wird und kein Convenience wäre. Aber Geschmäcker sind verschieden.

Schöne Hütte direkt im Wald. Mit dem Ebike gut zu erreichen. Das letzte Stück durch den Wald sehr steil. Schnitzel waren super lecker 😋. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.

Nettes kleines Ausflugsziel. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt. Freundliche Bedienung. Bestelltes Essen wurde innerhalb von 20 Minuten gebracht.

Wir waren heute mit einer Motorradgruppe da. Wunderbares Essen und super Service ! Nur zu empfehlen ! Hier gibt es nichts zu meckern !

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Außenanlage sehr gepflegt und sehr ansprechend. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Essen war wieder sehr gut. Ich kann die Exberghütte sehr empfehlen.

Ich war begeistert mitten im Wald so eine schöne Location mit einem sehr leckerem Angebot vor zu finden. Sehr freundlich sehr nett rund um zu Frieden.

Es wäre perfekt, wenn es zb Puten oder Hähnchenschnitzel geben würde. Sauber, freundliche junge Damen bedienen und kochen ,perfekt.

War wie immer mal wieder als DJ unterwegs. War alles ganz ok ... Servicepersonal war auch freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider hatte der Chef des Hauses was zu meckern. Ihm war beim Test der Anlage schon die Musik zu laut. War dann unfreundlich ... hatte sich aber dann gelegt am Abend. Und plötzlich war er auch verschwunden. War ansich ganz ok... Essen kann ich jetzt nichts sagen ... hatte nichts gegessen .. aber der Kollege sagte ... es war ok. Immer gern wieder. . Party war gut und alle Gäste zufrieden ... bis zum nächsten Mal. Äußerst nette Bedienung, sehr schöner Biergarten, Essen mit Salatbuffet gut.

Ich persönlich fand weder das Schnitzel Buffet, noch später den Kuchen besonders. In der Sauce Hollandaise waren Zwiebeln, finde ich nicht gelungen!? Der Service war sehr gut und schnell. Zum Essen würde ich nicht nochmal dorthin fahren.

Top gelegene Möglichkeit einzukehren um was zu essen und zu trinken. Sehr nettes Personal und gute Preise.

Super Lage und sehr nette Bedienung

Tolles, mitten im Wald gelegenes Restaurant im osthessischen Bergland. Rustikales und gemütliches Ambiente mit leckeren Speisen.

Zu Ostern mal zum Rouladen Buffet Essen gewesen. War gut gefüllt und lecker wie immer.

Bestes Schnitzel dass ich seit langer Zeit gegessen haben!!

Ein schöner Ort zum verweilen. Essen haben wir nicht getestet aber nur gutes drüber gehört. Wir haben dort, für uns, die Biergarten Saison eröffnet und werden dort auch wieder einkehren.
