Inflexible! The gyros wouldn't tolerate a full gyro, but if you wanted a cucumber salad instead of coleslaw, they didn't accommodate you. Not in the slightest. Won't order from there again! Update 9/17/2025: It's outrageous to accuse me of untruths! After all, that was only yesterday!! But that's just good business practice. Instead of clarifying this, you're called a liar. They're really great at taking criticism 👍😂! Update 9/19/25:.... Not worth mentioning at all! There's plenty of competition and therefore adequate alternatives! You shouldn't feel personally attacked! Sad when you consider how long your business has been in existence?! You should be able to expect more professional behavior. It's a shame you don't take constructive criticism in the slightest!

For me, Evia's gyros are simply unbeatable. Not only incredibly delicious, but also of a quality you won't find anywhere else in the entire metropolitan area. The meat is always fresh and perfectly seasoned, the portions are generous, and the value for money is absolutely perfect. You can tell the passion that goes into the cooking here. Whether you eat in or takeaway, the taste, service, and atmosphere are always top-notch. For me, this is clearly the best gyros in the entire region!

❌❌❌ My shocking experience on August 8, 2025 Today, August 8, 2025, I ordered there for over €70. According to the app, the food should be delivered in about 40 minutes. Of course, it can take longer sometimes – that's human nature and not a problem for me. But after more than an hour without delivery, I called to inquire. What hit me was not friendly customer service, but pure rudeness. The shop owner immediately yelled at me with phrases like: "I'm very busy here, please be patient" and "I'm just working on your order, it'll take a little while." I sat there speechless on the phone, thinking to myself: How did I end up here? Nevertheless, I swallowed my anger. I told myself: "Whatever, forget it – the kids are looking forward to their food, that's more important right now." And then came the low point: The food finally arrived – burnt, dripping with oil, and the wrong order to boot. I picked up the phone again to report it. But instead of receiving understanding or an apology, I was met with a cold, icy reply: "You know, you're not understanding. We're very busy. I don't believe you." I was stunned. So they're accusing me of lying? Before I could respond, the phone was hung up on me. On the third call, I simply said, "That's the last time I'll order from you." The man's reply: "We have enough customers, you don't have to order from us. Bye." – and to top it off, an insult in Greek. I have never experienced such disrespectful, condescending, and unprofessional treatment in my entire life. I'm just disappointed and sad that I spent €75 here – including the tip – and not only received lousy food, but also zero understanding and respect. Horrible. Simply horrible. NEVER AGAIN NEVER! I've never experienced anything so unfriendly before, and three adults sitting next to me noticed that I really showed more than enough understanding for being told it would take time and so on! But I'll never forget how I was treated!

So gyros may be very tasty but not a hamburger because half was missing which was disgusting

We went here with a large group for a birthday dinner. The food came relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the staff was a bit irritated and overwhelmed because they were serving the entire restaurant. The outdoor area overlooks garages, where some food is stored, but it's quiet outside. The food was delicious, though. Unfortunately, one dish was cooked incorrectly.

The gyro is absolutely inedible. I've tried it several times, and it's always the same. The meat is incredibly fatty and stringy, and there's so much fat running down the skewer that it looks really interesting. The kids ate fries or rice with nuggets or currywurst, which always tasted good, and the same goes for the schnitzels. (It's a deep fryer, after all.) Never tried the pizzas or salads. But the gyro was always inedible after four attempts. They wear gloves, but the waitress is also a chef, and vice versa, so they often leave the gloves on or even miss them when accepting money.

A friendly and welcoming welcome. Excellent food in a cozy atmosphere. We always enjoy coming back and feel like we're on vacation in Greece :) Keep up the good work!!

Our regular Greek restaurant. For good reasons. Very tasty gyros. Well-seasoned and generous portions. Last Saturday, several large groups were there. We expected a longer wait and that the gyros might not be as crispy. The servers were excellent. No noticeable stress. No rush. Always friendly. Even though the guys couldn't keep their hands and ears full. Our food and drinks arrived with barely any noticeable wait. And the gyros was as crispy as it should be. Everything was delicious. As always. ☺️

So far we have always been satisfied, today the order was changed from a gyro bag to a gyro pita because there was no bag (which isn't a bad thing), but there is a price difference of €0.50. We also ordered a chicken burger and got chicken nuggets (price difference €1.00). That’s a total of €1.50 “too much” paid. This isn't about the €1.50, it's simply about the fact that there was no communication from the restaurant. Apart from that: the food is really delicious! It's just stupid when you get the wrong things.

Actually, you don't even dare to leave a review because the owner doesn't seem to be able to handle criticism well. Well, we were still curious and brave to try out this rather controversial grill. It was nothing! I really agree, the gyro portion is ridiculously small. The meat is too salty, dry and of poor quality. Onions cut way too coarsely. Fries were not crispy and, unlike the gyros, not salted at all. However, the over-baked gyros was a total disaster. It was swimming in a sea of ​​fat made from cheese, which made the meat juicier but also saltier. We paid just under €26 for 2 people and were just disappointed. It wasn't a pleasure, most of it ended up in the bin. It's a real shame that we can't respond to your bogus answers! Therefore recession edited. The food has been picked up! Nobody asked us anything! We weren't unfriendly either, on the contrary! My husband also gave a tip.

We just moved from Stolberg to Düren and were looking for a new favorite snack bar. Well, it definitely won't be! The food is not recommended either in terms of quality or price. Meat dry and salty. The fries tasted like they were at least an hour old. The so-called Metaxa sauce was the worst ever. The best thing was actually the fast and friendly delivery.

We ordered here for the first time today. The gyros were dry and the amount of gyros was a joke for the price. The special fries that were ordered were simply not delivered instead we just got a normal portion of fries. But the special fries were charged. There was too much oregano on the pizza and hardly any pineapple, that's a matter of taste, but 2 stars because the dough was really fresh Nevertheless, we wouldn't order here again.

One summer evening I visited Evvia Grill. It appeared they were ready to close for the day. They offered us to sit outside and we ordered pizza, fries and salad since there was nothing else left. The food was okay, frozen pizza and fries, fresh salad, a bit overpriced for the mediocre quality. The owner of Evvia Grill was grumpy and repeatedly told us not to come so late because the staff deserved an early evening. In total we sat there for half an hour while the grumpy owner kept looking at the clock. The owner was very friendly to a group of men who were sitting next to us drinking beer, and then kept coming back to us and telling us we shouldn't be so late. Evvia Grill needs to learn something about customer service and manners, the non-traditional Greek food like fries and pizza is mediocre at best. The environment was very simple (outdoor beer garden). There were flies etc. I wouldn't go there again, neither for food nor for drinking. Re: Responding to messages from manager Dear manager of Evvia Grill, You're welcome! It's admirable to see that employees are treated fairly and not pressured into overtime, that's a credit to you. Very unfortunate, Ordered here for the first time today because of the good reviews. Where should I start the food was inedible. We had a cream schnitzel, a platter for 2 people and gyros with Metaxa sauce. The schnitzel was dead fried and bone dry and the rice was rock hard and was more like porridge. The sauce was anything but homemade, as was the frozen schnitzel. The gyros was more of a mushy mess. Despite a complaint, there was no insight from the owner, they could have at least apologized, so it was absolutely not customer friendly. We won't be ordering here again. 🔄Note on answer. This is what it looks like when you absolutely can't handle criticism. It's a mystery to me how anyone could confuse criticism with competition. We only mentioned that you have experience in the catering industry and can therefore distinguish between what is homemade and what is not. Of course, mixing a sauce with Maggi fix and water can also be confused with making it yourself. Absolutely childish behavior.

The only thing that tastes really good here is the gyros plate, but only freshly prepared! If you have it delivered to you, then the fries will be totally limp, the meat will be cold and the salad will be sweaty and can hardly be enjoyed. For example, if you don't want onions or anything else on your gyro plate, then you have to be very careful when preparing it because the workers there quickly forget about it.

I haven't known the EVVIA Grill for very long, but I really enjoy eating there! No matter whether it's gyros, schnitzel or just a salad. Even when it's busy, I'm served quickly and my food is freshly prepared. I just love coming to you :) Really the best gyros I've eaten so far. And the service is always friendly. To you very soon :)

Ich gehe mit meiner Familie seit fast 14 Jahren hier essen und bin immer zufrieden. Ich kann nur bestätigten, dass Kinder herzlich willkommen sind. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben und der Service ist immer freundlich. Ich würde jedem Bekannten dieses Restaurant empfehlen.

Das Essen ist, seit ich denken kann, stets top. Es gab wirklich noch nie was zu bemängeln. Selbst wenn man monatelang nicht bestellt hat, kriegt man immer noch heiße Portionen. Dabei bin ich mir sicher, dass ich nicht wiedererkannt werde. Wenn wir mal im Laden selber essen, ist es immer sehr sauber Ich habe nichts zu bemängeln. Super Laden

Ich komme nun schon fast 30 Jahre zum Evvia Grill, davon 26 Jahren mit meinen Kindern. Ich habe noch nie erlebt, daß meine Kinder jemals nicht willkommen waren, im Gegenteil. Aber unsere Kinder haben sich auch immer benommen und nicht wild rumgespielt und den Kellnern im Weg gestanden. Ich werde auch irgendwann mit meinen Enkelkinder im Evvia essen. Aber wie schon geschrieben, sollte man seine Kinder auch im Griff haben und ihnen vielleicht auch mal erklären, dass ein Restaurant kein Spielplatz ist.

Unklare Karte, dadurch falsches Essen bekommen. Dadurch Kosten wie im Steakhaus. Preis leistung dadurch schlecht.

Ich war zum ersten mal hier in Merken und kannte auch nicht die Speisekarte, also braucht man etwas Zeit. Mein Gericht gab es leider nicht, wie ich es kannte. Allernative Möglichkeiten, nicht angeboten. Nun hatte ich endlich was ich vor Ort bestellen wollte, kam niemand und nahm die Bestellung auf. Man stande da und keine Interesse für die Laufkundschaft. Zugleich schrieh der Inhaber extrem unhöflich ob ich noch vor Dienstende bestellen wollte mit billigen gelächter einiger Mitarbeiter. Deshalb bin ich ohne Worte gegangen. Essen sah soweit gut aus, was ich so gesehen habe. Mehr kann ich leider nicht dazusagen. Wenn das einer von den schlechten Tagen wieder mal war,, was sie bei jeden Kommentar rechtfertigen.wäre es es doch besser den Imbiss für den Tag zu schließen. Das wir nur Menschen sind, das stimmt. Geht aber nicht als Ausrede. Man hätte auch hinterher sich dafür entschuldigen können. ↩️Anmerkung zur Antwort. Äußerung von meiner Seite sind korrekt. Das Essen war sehr gut Amigo. :) Evvia Grill wurde umgebaut, sehr schönes Ambiente, das Essen war sehr gut.

Schon lange gehen wir als Merkener zu Evvia. Daher kann ich so einige Negativ - Rezensionen die hier veröffentlicht wurden nicht ganz nach vollziehen. Zudem ist es auch nur menschlich, dass jeder Tag nicht gleich gut verläuft, auch weil das Lokal meistens sehr gut besucht ist und auch noch für die Kundschaft ein Lieferservice angeboten wird. Wir sind alle nur Menschen machen alle Fehler, reagieren selbst emotional, spontan und genervt. Daher würde ich den Ball mal etwas flach halten und Toleranz üben. Wichtig ist doch, dass man generell dort sehr gut essen kann und das Personal uns gegenüber immer freundlich und zuvorkommend war. "Aber wie Du kommst gegangen, so wirst Du auch empfangen" - oder ? Sollte es einmal zu Unstimmigkeiten kommen, so kann man das doch direkt vor Ort mit dem Chef oder der Chefin klären und nicht erst später über "Frustrezensionen" im Netz nachkarten. Freitags gibt es dazu immer einen guten und leckeren Backfisch. Das Ambiente vor Ort ist erneut ganz aktuell modernisiert worden mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Eine kleine, neue griechische Taverne. Zur Preisgestaltung, kann ich nur sagen - was wird nicht teurer? Sicherlich kann man immer über die Preisgestaltung diskutieren- aber was bekomme ich z.B. noch für viel Geld in einem Fast Food Restaurant ? Daher kommt zu Evvia, bleibt fair freundlich und ehrlich, bildet Euch selbst eine eigene Meinung und genießt dabei ein gutes Essen.

Fahrer war nett. Lieferdauer ca 45min war OK. Essen leider echt nicht gut und zu teuer.(62€) Grillplatte: Spezialität des Hauses...(eigentlich ehrlich gesagt peinlich) Pommes sehr weich. Reis schmeckt nach Fertigreis. Gyros echt sehr fettig (hab ich komplett weg geschmissen) Schnitzel schmeckt leider auch nicht und ist nicht ganz durch gebraten. Der Salat ist nur aus Bohnen und einer geviertelte Tomate.(viel zu viel Dressing) Chevapcici konnte man essen! Bami Scheibe konnte man essen! Tintenfisch ringe konnte man auch essen!(ist aber halt nichts besonderes!) Preis Leistung sehr schlecht! Ich werde da nicht mehr bestellen.

Die 2 Sterne gibt es nur dafür, weil das Essen geschmacklich ganz gut war. Auch war die Kellnerin freundlich. Ansonsten war der Service absolut schlecht. Zum einen haben wir auf gerade einmal 4 Essen 1,5h gewartet. Auch dauerte es lange, bis wir neue Getränke bestellen konnten. Dabei wurde dann auch eins vergessen, aber umgehend gebracht. Nach dem Essen habe ich darum gebeten die Reste einzupacken. Eines der Essen wurde dann auch eingepackt, der Grillteller für 2 Personen, auf dem noch fast die Hälfte drauf war, wurde aber einfach weggeworfen. Zum einen eine absolute Verschwedung, zum anderen war dieser mit 25 Euro auch nicht besonders billig. Auf Nachfrage, ob man da denn nun etwas machen könne, kam nur ein "Nein". Auf Rückfrage und Hinweis, dass wir ja dafür bezahlt haben, der Teller noch etwa halb voll war und wir ja auch gerne das Essen noch mitgenommen hätten, kam vollkommene Ignoranz. So vergrault man Kunden. Wir werden dort nie wieder hingehen. Immerhin war ganz klar kommuniziert worden, dass wie alles gerne mitnehmen würden. Wir wurden sogar noch gefragt, ob nur Fleisch oder auch Pommes. Auch wenn es vielleicht nicht absichtlich weg geworfen wurde, haben wir die bezahlte Leistung nicht erhalten. Hier hätte ich doch mit einem Preisnachlass oder einen neuen Portion Fleisch und Beilage gerechnet. So habe ich es in anderen Restaurants immerhin schon erlebt. Essen gut, Service Katastrophe. Ich bin sehr sauer und enttäuscht. Anmerkung zur Antwort des Inhabers: Dass es bei einem vollen Laden dauern kann, bis das Essen kommt, kann ich gut verstehen. Nicht aber, dass zum einen das Bestellen der Getränke so lange dauerte und zum anderen, dass nicht vorab ein kurzer Hinweis bezüglich langer Wartezeiten kam. Dennoch war die Wartezeit nicht der ausschlaggebende Punkt für die schlechte Servicebewertung, sondern vielmehr das Verhalten mir gegenüber bei der Klärung meines Anliegens. Auch möchte ich anmerken, dass beim Bezahlen nochmals nachgefragt wurde und auf eine Klärung verwiesen worden ist. Der Kellner hat aber einfach weiter abgerechnet und mich und mein Anliegen vollkommen ignoriert, obwohl ich mehrfach mein Anliegengeschildert habe. Eine Klärung war leider nicht möglich. Gerne kann ich das Anliegen nochmals mit dem Inhaber klären. Gestern Abend bestand da durch ihren Kellner keinerlei Klärungsmöglichkeit. Ich wurde lediglich abgeblockt.

Wir essen schon seit Jahren beim Evvia Grill. Die Qualität ist immer super, der Service spitze und der Geschmack absolut klasse. Das beste Gyros in der Umgebung!

Wir haben sechs Gerichte für rund 90€ bestellt und es wurden leider nur zwei Gerichte geliefert, die anderen Gerichte wurden zwar Ruck zuck nachgeliefert, aber gemeinsames Essen war nicht drin und das bei der erst Bestellung. Essen war super lecker 😋.

Das Essen ist sehr gut doch leider finde ich den Mindestbestellwert einfach viel zu hoch. Ich habe das Gefühl das der Betreiber den Lieferdienst aufgeben möchte. Es ist fast unmöglich den MBW von 40€ als Single zu erreichen. Schade, da ich etwas weiter weg wohne und nicht mobil bin werde ich wohl nicht mehr in den Genuss des leckeren Essens kommen. Trotzdem noch viel Erfolg! Trotzdem 4 Sterne weil das Essen sehr lecker ist!

Dieser Ort ist nicht weiterzuempfehlen!!! Die anderen Gäste sind total unfreundlich und das Essen ist total teuer. Dazu muss man seine Getränke draußen trinken. Von mir -1 von 5 ☆

Wir wurden von einem vermutlichen „stammgast“ darum gebeten unsere fanta nicht im lokal zu trinke da sie nur für außer haus hedacht seie.

Die Portion war gut die Preise nicht meinen Krampf im Bauch auch Ich möchte mich außerdem beschweren das alkoholisierte ‚Stammgäste‘ normale Gäste ohne weitere Konsequenzen bepöbeln dürfen.

Gutes Gyros. Interessante Mischung aus Imbiss und Restaurant, vermutlich das beste Konzept für so einen kleinen Ort. Wer Hunger hat sollte vorbei schauen.

Das Essen ist weiterhin top. Dafür gibt es 5 Sterne. Nach der erneuten Wahnsinns-Preiserhöhung bin ich allerdings raus. Keine Ahnung, wer sich das noch leisten kann. Ich jedenfalls nicht.

Nach langer Suche… haben wir endlich mal eine gute Gyros Pita im Kreis Düren gefunden. Preislich dürfte man nach der Energiekriese, aber gerne wieder auf Familienfreundlicheren Preise zurück kehren. Dann wird auch regelmäßig bei euch bestellt. Aktualisiert: Nach erneuter Preiserhöhungen sind wir dann doch raus und bestellen woanders.

Sehr sehr nettes Personal und das Essen zugleich einfach nur eine Delikatesse. Hier wird man ganz klar fündig was essen betrifft.

Mehrmals telefonisch bestellt,Abholzeit angesagt, gehe schon extra immer später als gesagt, aber NIE fertig, die Krönung heute war (immer Schnitzel Bernaise) von 11 auf 13 €,alles wird teurer, ich arbeite selbst im Einzelhandel, aber Freundlichkeit muss bestehen bleiben, dass kann ich nur von den Mitarbeiter bestätigen👍👍aber nicht von den Inhabern, die Vorbild sein sollten!!!!!!!!!! Und da meinte noch so ein Biertrinkender am Tisch ich sollte doch früher bestellen 😆ok nächste Mal bestelle ich um 14Uhr in der Hoffnung um 19Uhr das Essen zu bekommen 🤣

War heute das erste mal da, aber mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte mal. Hatte Gyrosteller plus Schafskäse, Peperoni und Zwiebeln. Erster Versuch die Gabel mit gyros in den Mund. Meeeeega. Schafskäse war ok. Freundlichkeit , Aufmerksamkeit Top. Nehme die 18 km in Kauf für wirklich gutes Gyros. Danke
