A lovely ambiance, great service – friendly, attentive, and fast 👍🏻! The food, however, was disappointing across the board. I think half the dishes were convenience items… A no-go given the prices. The other half was lame. What a shame ☹️

We were here for the first time with five people. An extensive food and drink menu awaited us, leaving little to be desired. They served exclusively tapas, which suited us perfectly. ☺️ They were delicious! The various beers on tap are also not to be despised, as is the several varieties of sangria. The service was very friendly and attentive.

I've been to the "Esteban" a few times now and every time I've had a wonderful evening. Great cold beer, Spanish delicacies... what more could you want? A special thank you goes to the people who work there. Always in a good mood and always trying to make the evening as enjoyable as possible for their guests. 5 stars for that and a clear recommendation to everyone.

The tapas were once again delicious. The service was very friendly and prompt. Sitting on the terrace in the evening is simply lovely. I think the value for money is good for tapas. Everything went smoothly with the reservation beforehand.

It wasn't bad, but we still wouldn't go there again. The prices are already pretty high. We tried it once, but probably won't come again because of the prices. But the food didn't taste bad.

We had a great evening at Esteban Tapas in Bergisch Gladbach! Overall, the food was really tasty – the taste was very good throughout. I would particularly like to highlight the beautiful ambience and the super friendly, attentive and quick staff - you immediately feel welcome. A small downside: the paella tapas unfortunately had a slightly burnt taste and, like a few other dishes, were not quite as warm. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our visit and would love to come back!

Overall, okay. Would I go back? Probably not. Not particularly good, but not particularly bad either. The artichokes are extremely overpriced, though. The calamari, on the other hand, is comparatively inexpensive.

A room of comfort, we were at Esteban again today! From homemade sangria...to creating your own table of tapas...rabbit, lamb chops, chorizo ​​in white wine sauce, patata fritos, a very tasty aioli... up to the crema catalana! Very friendly service in a nice but totally overheated guest room, the tapas unfortunately lacked sophistication, they seemed a little careless, the still water came in a large 1 liter carafe and turned out to be filtered tap water at a price of 6.40 euros. The bill (for 2 couples) was presented without asking in one sum with the words: pay together or half half? Summary: once and never again!

Many people do not understand that in the current situation it is almost impossible for restaurants to meet every expectation. People often complain about long waiting times or allegedly unfriendly staff, but anyone who has ever worked in the catering industry knows how demanding and stressful this job is. Maybe it would be good to show understanding before expressing criticism: restaurants fight hard every day to offer their guests a good experience - despite the shortage of staff and the great burden. A small greeting to everyone who constantly has something to complain about: Try it out for yourself and see what it's like to work under these conditions. A little more appreciation and patience (especially in the last few difficult years until today) can do wonders - not only for the employees, but also for the atmosphere that we all want to enjoy! The waitresses explained the menu to us and were able to provide competent advice on the selection of dishes. The waiting time was reasonable. The wine selection was also first-class and went perfectly with the food. All in all, a fantastic restaurant that we can definitely recommend. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a special dinner with friends. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to our next visits!

I've already gotten to know a few tapas bars, but Esteban in Bergisch-Gladbach-Refrath (only 1 km from Cologne-Brück) is one of the top recommendations for me.

It's been a while since the last visit. Tapas food is of course always a little more expensive until you are full. Unfortunately, the tapas there were a bit more expensive for the result and quantity. But taste good! Last time we only wanted to drink a bottle of wine. Some tables were still occupied, but it was made clear to us that we had to drink our wine more quickly. Cozy what not...

The three of us were here for my daughter's birthday, who wanted tapas. We came from Hilden especially for this. The reception, the service and also the food are really top notch! We were all thrilled and full. Tapas can be ordered at any time to suit your taste. All inclusive including drinks we paid around €70.00 + tip, which was well deserved. Recommendation!

Schade, dass es im Esteban nicht mehr so ist, wie es noch war als Andy Wilkens noch da war. 10 Tapas kamen über 15 Minuten verteilt, Nachfragen oder Bestellungen nur nach mehrfachen auffälligem Winken, der Bezahlvorgang dauerte von der Rechnung bis zur Bezahlung auch 10 Minuten, für das Wort DANKE ist keine Zeit. Die Dauerkarte lösen wir jetzt woanders ein. Schade

Waren zum ersten Mal dort. Haben bei schönem Wetter zur Straße raus auf der Terrasse gesessen. Offensichtlich viele zufriedene Stammgäste. Service war freundlich und bemüht. Speisekarte typisch für Tapas-Restaurants. Wie bei jedem Spanier kleine Portionen für verhältnismäßig viel Geld. Allerdings waren die Tapas teilweise extrem salzig. Deshalb Punktabzüge von uns. Erwiderung der Servicekraft, als wir sie auf das Salz angesprochen haben: "Das ist in Spanien so!" Wir möchten das Esteban in keiner Weise schlecht machen. Jeder Gast muss sich seine eigene Meinung bilden. Aber wir für unseren Teil werden nicht mehr hingehen. Wir haben inkl. Trinkgeld 100€ zu zweit da gelassen, waren aber nicht zufrieden.

Tapas really are at home here. There are many restaurants that offer tapas. At Esteban, the selection, portion size and quality are rarely good. The service and ambience are also a reason to be a guest here again soon. Compliment.

Absolute impudence! We've actually found the food really good so far and have been there many times, but after today we'll never go there again, especially since the prices are now a disgrace! While we were waiting there for over an hour, even though we even arrived a little late, a large order (!) was being completed. This family of several people walked past us 20 times with huge plates full of food. I didn't realize that an order has a higher priority than guests who are there and waste their time, only to be told another waiting time at the end! Maybe this restaurant should work on its time management and organization! After waiting for over an hour, we got up and left. They could have saved themselves the apology at the end.

We have been guests here several times and both the food and the service have been excellent each time. The last “meal” we had was as part of a birthday to which we were invited. Here, too, we were pleased with the extremely friendly service and the quality of the food.

We were there as part of a celebration. There was a specially made cold and warm buffet. All starters and main courses were excellent, very tasty. It was always freshly refilled. Since everything was delicious, I can't highlight anything. The house wines in bottles were also very good. All in all very recommendable. Although we can't comment on the a la carte dishes, they couldn't be worse.

We've been to a lot of tapas bars in Spain and have also been through a few here in Germany, but Esteban Tapas is the closest thing to the bars in Spain so far. Please keep it up, a bit of holiday flair in Germany for 2 hours is just good.

We ate in the restaurant for the first time. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is also very nice. Since we had never eaten Spanish before, we opted for many small dishes and tried our way through the menu. There are large menus on every table and you can use a pencil to mark what you want to order. Everything was very tasty, although some dishes were made with a lot of salt. We can also recommend the wine. We chose the Heraclio Alfaro, which was really good, and we ordered the whole bottle later. Afterwards we switched to the cocktails, also highly recommended. Card payment is only possible from 15 euros, we easily reached that amount. It was a really nice evening, with very nice staff, delicious food and drinks. We will be back definitely. You should just reserve a table in advance because the restaurant seems to be very popular, which ultimately didn't surprise us.

DOGS FORBIDDEN Actually, that's enough for me to never come back. But unfortunately it wasn't a nice stay there either. The bus stops right in front of the door and the tram passes in less than 20m. Would have been bearable if the food had been tasty. But as I said: I no longer want to go where my dog ​​is not welcome.

Really incredibly delicious tapas, each one felt like it was made with a lot of love. The ingredients taste very fresh, the taste is really exceptionally good, the size of the tapas is also great so you can try a bit of everything. The service is super friendly, even late in the evening - on the last round - there is still an exceptional cake ;) And what's more: they not only respond to special requests, they also remember them. The only drawback: they also have their price, which is a bit steeper. But basically quality has its price and it is really very tasty.

Wir haben viele Jahre in Spanien gelebt und uns auch durch die Tapas-Angebote u.a. von Bilbao über Valencia, Alicante und Sevilla bis nach Malaga durchprobiert. Üblicherweise ist ja meist so, dass das Essen im entsprechenden Land besser schmeckt als in Deutschland. Bei Esteban Tapas aber waren wir extrem positiv überrascht. Gerichte wie Pimientos de Padrón oder Tortilla waren sehr authentisch, aber der Oberhammer waren dann die Tapas, wo die meisten Restaurants in Deutschland leider oft nur zähes Gummi produzieren: Z.B. die Calamares en su Salsa (Tageskarte) in einer traumhaften Weißweinsauce. Die waren so butterweich, dass sie fast auf der Zunge zerschmolzen sind. Aber auch die Chipirones von der Standardkarte sind zart und werden von der Panade nicht erdrückt, sondern angenehm begleitet. Unsere Kinder haben bisher auch außerhalb von Spanien noch nie ihre geliebten Croquetas de Espinaca gefunden. Hier gibt es sie nicht nur, sondern sie schmecken auch wie gewohnt. Und selbst beim Nachtisch, wo dann ja leider so manches gute Lokal schwächelt, wurden wir bisher noch nie enttäuscht. Obendrein ist die Bedienung super freundlich und ungewohnt aufmerksam. Inzwischen sitzt man ja oft eine Zeitlang auf dem Trockenen, bis man ein Getränk nachgeliefert bekommt. Nicht so hier. Bejaht man die automatische Nachfrage bei fast leerem Glas, so wird dann auch kurzfristig für den Nachschub gesorgt. Das einzige was wir bereuen, ist, dass wir nicht schon viel früher hier mal Essen gegangen sind, weil wir nicht erwartet hätten, in Deutschland derartig exzellente Tapas zu bekommen. Den einen Stern Abzug beim Ambiente gibt es, weil es doch meist recht voll ist und man dann je nach Sitzplatz gegen eine gewisse Umgebungslautstärke anreden muss. Sonst wäre es hier perfekt.

Es hat Freude gemacht, die Tapas zu probieren. Wechselnde Tageskarte sorgt für Gaumenfreude! Die Tapas sind nicht günstig, aber wirklich lecker. Auch Vegetarier finden etwas für sich. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und professionell, man sitzt nett draußen und hört spanische Musik im Hintergrund. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Muchas gracias y hasta pronto!

Toller Service mit tollem Essen, Getränken und schönem Ambiete. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, sind rumumflück gegangen und werden immer gern wiederkommen!

Trotz Reservierung hat man uns den Zutritt mit Hund verwehrt!!! Selbst unser Vorschlag, auf der Terrasse zu sitzen wurde wegen des Hundes abgelehnt. Ich spreche hier auch nicht von einem bedrohlichen Hund. Unser Mischling hat 19Kg. Das in einem spanischen Restaurant niemand aus Spanien kommt, finde ich auch schade.

Wir gehen eigentlich seit bestimmt 10 Jahren dort essen. Weil es richtig mega geschmeckt hatte. Heute Abend waren wir das letzte mal da. Es hat nicht geschmeckt. Cebiche war versalzen und zu grob, Hühnchen mit hierbas zu trocken, Kaninchen genauso. Rest versalzen und nicht lecker. Wir haben der Bedienung ganz nett Bescheid gesagt, es war früher besser - als konstruktiver Input. Wenn es gut schmeckt sagen wir es genauso! Wir sind es außerdem gewöhnt, in solchen Fällen mal so ein kleines Espresso aufs Haus zu bekommen, in dem Fall wurde aber das Geld schnell kassiert und tschüss. So schnell kann man langjährige Kunden vergraulen. Schade. Kundenbindung geht anders.

Wenn aus einem nicht unbedingt schönen Tag nach einen späten Besuch im Restaurant, durch die Freundlichkeit des Personals, noch ein sehr schöner Tag geworden ist, war man wohl im Esteban! Liebe Grüße aus Bremen von Evelyn und Michael
