Espach Café & Restaurant in Erfurt

Kürzlich war ich im Espach Café & Restaurant und war absolut begeistert! Das Café bietet sowohl drinnen als auch draußen einen tollen Platz zum Verweilen. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach perfekt für eine Auszeit vom Alltag. Die Bedienung war unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam. Man merkt, dass Gastfreundschaft hier groß geschrieben wird. Auch die Auswahl an Speisen war sehr überzeugend - frisch, lecker und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Ich habe mich rundum wohl gefühlt und kann das Espach Café & Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen. Ein wunderbarer Ort, um die Stadt aus einer anderen Perspektive zu genießen!

Celebrated a child's birthday there, cake and coffee were great. Service was also very friendly. Unfortunately there were dirty tables around us for a long time.

We sat down at 4:40 p.m. and got our drinks straight away. The waitress told us that she was about to get off work and wished us a nice evening. After 5 p.m. no one came to accept the food requests. We brought the waitress to the table and ordered our food. All the other tables were beautifully set, except ours! No napkins, no cutlery! Thanks for the starter: bread, lentil salad and goose fat. Unfortunately we had to eat them with our fingers. When the main courses were served, it was noticeable that there was no cutlery. There were no napkins 🤷🏻‍♀️. The food was first class and the ambience was very nice. It's a shame that the poor service spoiled the entire visit to the restaurant.

Were there to drink mulled wine. But great as always.

We were here for the umpteenth time. This time it was a larger celebration with guests and here too we experienced first-class service and great hospitality. The atmosphere here at Christmas time is just as beautiful as in summer. Thank you for the great time - we'll be happy to come back

Goose breast is a little different. But the winter salad and sorbet ice cream are very, very high league

Stopping at the Espach Cafe is always a pleasure. Everything is just right; a very professional and loving boss, a friendly and attentive team, the excellent food and the cozy atmosphere - we simply feel welcome in this special place, which the older ones of us still know as Espachbad.

The mulled wine at the stand tastes very tasty, the employees are very considerate and create a friendly atmosphere. Gladly again.

Yesterday evening we celebrated my birthday with 9 people in the Espach Restaurant. Unfortunately we were all very disappointed with the service. Everything was fine until the waiter's shift changed. Unfortunately we were forgotten afterwards. We had to constantly make ourselves noticed. Nobody recommended anything to us, asked what we wanted and 2/3 of our dessert order was completely forgotten. Even when the desserts came, delayed by over 30 minutes, no thought was given to the cutlery. We were also literally left high and dry when it came to our drinks (other than water). This was not how I imagined my birthday to be. My guests and I were very disappointed with the service. I also mentioned this there when paying. Positive: The food was wonderful.

You had to wait forever for everything, even though only half the tables were occupied. The cake (we had several different ones) didn't taste particularly good and was way too expensive. With a waitress you would have the feeling that she wasn't in the mood. The second waitress put a lot of effort into this and even brought the children two glasses of sprinkles with their hot chocolates.

Best Pisco Sour and celebration location! We celebrated our wedding with around 45 guests at Espach. That was unforgettable! The food, the nice and very well-coordinated team, everything was simply fantastic. We had very special requests regarding drinks and everything was taken into account. Some of our guests were children and for them our afternoon was also a great experience with the good food and the playground next to it. We can highly recommend the restaurant! The barman is world class! And the Pisco Sour is the best! Thanks!

We were there for lunch today with 8 people. Everything was fine. We'd love to come back. Rarely have I met such a nice boss and staff as in the Espach Restaurant. Thank you 👍

Perfect place for bad weather: good quality mulled wine - outside under the umbrella or inside for walkers who are not weatherproof

We spent a really exceptionally lovely evening with family and friends at Espachcafe. The food was excellent and absolutely convinced all meat, fish and vegetable lovers. My highlight was definitely the beetroot risotto. In addition to the lovingly decorated tables, the good food and the uncomplicated arrangements, we were particularly impressed by the very friendly staff. I have rarely experienced such friendly, patient and warm service. Thank you for making our special day so complete!

As nice as the location is and the fact that the house is so busy again, you just get the impression that it's all about money. Love for gastronomy is missing. Service okay but not very friendly. Food overpriced and quality below average. Report is based on several visits where both savory and sweet (cake) were eaten.

Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich willkommen und entschleunigt. Der Service war ebenso hervorragend. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Die Gerichte waren nicht nur geschmacklich ein Genuss, sondern auch mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Frische Zutaten, perfekt abgestimmt und kreativ kombiniert – hier wird wirklich auf hohe Qualität geachtet. Ich kann das Espach Café und Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Went there with friends in the summer - the tarte flambées were great and the location was unbeatable anyway. Always a good address for something special and close to the green areas.

We celebrated a big birthday with a total of 44 guests. The preparation and planning was professional, very friendly and responsive to all wishes. The food was highly praised by all guests and was very plentiful, the range of drinks had something for everyone, including non-alcoholic ones, and the bar had lots of new, interesting ideas (Sarti-Spritz was a hit). The collaboration between the band and the café also worked wonderfully, so that it was a completely successful evening for us, a thank you to everyone involved.

It was a very friendly welcome and we received friendly service throughout our stay. The food at the breakfast buffet was sufficient in terms of selection of dishes and drinks, which is typical for a German breakfast, and the food was all fresh. The ambience is very inviting and elegantly designed. Suitable for larger celebrations such as weddings etc. The price-performance ratio corresponds to the quality of the food and the design of the rooms and the friendly service. We would be happy to be your guests again.

Very beautiful, inside and out. Very cozy, good service. My dish ox cheeks with puree and thyme jus. Only the salsify was too al dente for me. Praise for regional beers.

We were with a group of over 20 people for coffee and cake in the beautiful Espach Café and had reserved two weeks in advance. It took over 25 minutes for the service to start taking the guests' drink requests. We also agreed to start with a champagne reception. This followed 40 minutes after arrival. Our impression was that there was a lack of preparation for this. The next point was that there was a funny group of men sitting at the next table. There were enough tables available in the restaurant. We would have liked to have been “exclusive” and “between ourselves” for this little celebration in the back area. But as soon as we arrived we were asked if we had made a reservation... A woman in a white dress and a man in a suit and bow tie - the staff didn't seem to know anything... they'd probably show up spontaneously and ask for a free table :-) . Well, it wasn't surprising that the calculation wasn't correct on the first attempt. In our opinion, the prices are above average, which we would ignore if the service was appropriate. As a summary, we realize that a spontaneous coffee will probably work - in a larger company the staff is overwhelmed and the processes don't yet fit. Dear Espach team - we hope you can do better. Die gesamte Feier lief genauso ab, wie wir es uns gewünscht hatten. Organisation, Service, Abrechnung – alles stimmte und entsprach genau der hochwertigen Qualität des Anlasses. Unsere Gäste waren begeistert und haben die Atmosphäre, das Essen und die Location in den höchsten Tönen gelobt. Wir können das Espach Café jedem Brautpaar uneingeschränkt empfehlen! Es ist der perfekte Ort für eine Traumhochzeit!

We celebrated our wedding at the Espach Café in Erfurt - and it was simply PERFECT! From the very beginning, the restaurant manager Lisa Schneider gave us an absolutely safe and good feeling. No matter how unusual our wishes were, she always found a solution and also came up with excellent ideas of her own. The entire celebration went exactly as we had hoped. Organization, service, billing – everything was perfect and corresponded exactly to the high quality of the event. Our guests were thrilled and praised the atmosphere, the food and the location highly. We can fully recommend the Espach Café to every bride and groom! It's the perfect place for a dream wedding!

The restaurant is very nice and cozy. However, the prices are very excessive. €5.40 for a normal piece of cake, you'll lose your appetite.

Restaurant is in a park, quiet location with playground, terrace, great service, friendly, definitely worth it. Parking spaces were also available for participants. my local, your local at Vox is always worth it

Unfortunately nothing special, simple food. No greetings from the kitchen, no bread. Eat quickly, collect, next person please. No side dish was found on the plate. Was then delivered later after discussions.

Very nice atmosphere and great restaurant in the middle of the countryside in Erfurt. We were guests at a private event with great service and delicious food and drinks. The service staff were always friendly and attentive and helped wherever they could. All in all, it was a great visit and a clear recommendation for a visit there!

The food was great, the atmosphere is great The furnishings are high quality and inviting. There is a playground for children in the immediate vicinity. There is a play area on the 1st floor. The lady who served us was friendly but seemed very unmotivated. She didn't treat an older couple as respectfully.

We were always excited to come there. But today we were pretty disappointed. The price-performance ratio is no longer right front and back. Paying €5.80 for a piece of cake that is cut extremely small is pretty sad. The iced chocolate wasn't of good quality either. The vanilla ice cream that was supposed to be in it was extremely crystallized and had no taste at all. You couldn't taste the chocolate at all. It's an extreme shame for this great location. I won't be going back there any time soon.

For us on this day - full marks. Not a bargain, but very good food. The tiger prawns, the rump steak and the lamb chops - flawless. I really enjoyed the Helle from Heimathafen. Fruity, tasty. The menu is very lovingly and professionally designed and has a top offering. We sat outside. You can stay here for a long time on a warm evening.

We went to the breakfast buffet today. It was really great, starting with the staff, who were all friendly, quick and helpful. There were only high-quality products on the buffet, such as ham, salmon, jam, etc. Everything was there, everything was fresh and tasty. We can only recommend it, we will certainly come back. A very fine and elegant cafe with friendly service and very clean toilets. I found it very pleasant that the guests were seated, so everything was very pleasant and relaxed. Highly recommended.

Location and ambience great. Also suitable for children, as there are two playgrounds in the immediate vicinity. The quality of the food is very good, if you are very hungry you need more than the main course. The service, attention, speed and flexibility were on the lower side and unfortunately contradicted the good impression that had been made up to that point. It's just a snapshot, but I wouldn't recommend it for parties over 10 people. It seemed to me as if the staff were overwhelmed with the task.

Came over spontaneously. Despite the full house and stress because it rained every now and then and the guests outside came inside, we were offered a place (2 people) after a short wait. Since we had to wait 3 minutes until the table was sorted, we received a welcome champagne on the house. After a few minutes we were able to order and the food arrived quickly. It tasted wonderful and the service was very nice and polite despite being understaffed and we never had to wait long, our every wish was fulfilled. Great respect to the employees of this restaurant. Service still exists.

We celebrated our daughter's first communion last week in the Espach Café. The very good support and helpful tips when selecting the menu in advance, the attentive service, the beautiful table decorations and the deliciously prepared food and drinks made the celebration a wonderful day for us and our guests. Very nicely and elegantly furnished. Staff friendly and tried to bring everything together (we were a larger group). The food wasn't cheap but it was very tasty and made from fresh ingredients. Not suitable for wheelchair users as you have to climb stairs to get to the disabled toilet. There is a nice playground for younger guests in the outdoor area.

It all took a very long time. 10 minutes until someone brought a card (and we had to actively try to get the staff's attention), another 15 minutes until someone took our order, the cappuccino and iced coffee then took another 20 minutes to arrive . To pay, we had to wave our arms again and then wait another 15 minutes until someone wanted our money. The location is nice, but the service completely spoils it.

Anyone who still knows the old bath, on whose site the café now stands, will definitely be happy about the “transformation”. The café is a popular meeting place for people with children as it includes a small playground. But the place is also an oasis in the middle of the big city, where people like to linger.

In a very cozy atmosphere you can enjoy a varied, delicious breakfast buffet while being provided with drinks by a super friendly team. Totally recommended!
