Went there for the first time today for the breakfast buffet. A little more choice didn't hurt, but overall it was great!

Although the restaurant was very busy that day and time (there were several groups who had ordered), the service was very good. All guests in our group received their meals at the same time. Everyone was very satisfied.

Despite the beautiful ambience, the prices have risen outrageously. 5-8 euros for mostly tiny pieces of cake. Please don't support something like that!

The food was great, the atmosphere is great The furnishings are high quality and inviting. There is a playground for children in the immediate vicinity. There is a play area on the 1st floor. The lady who served us was friendly but seemed very unmotivated. She didn't treat an older couple as respectfully.

We were always excited to come there. But today we were pretty disappointed. The price-performance ratio is no longer right front and back. Paying €5.80 for a piece of cake that is cut extremely small is pretty sad. The iced chocolate wasn't of good quality either. The vanilla ice cream that was supposed to be in it was extremely crystallized and had no taste at all. You couldn't taste the chocolate at all. It's an extreme shame for this great location. I won't be going back there any time soon.

For us on this day - full marks. Not a bargain, but very good food. The tiger prawns, the rump steak and the lamb chops - flawless. I really enjoyed the Helle from Heimathafen. Fruity, tasty. The menu is very lovingly and professionally designed and has a top offering. We sat outside. You can stay here for a long time on a warm evening.

We went to the breakfast buffet today. It was really great, starting with the staff, who were all friendly, quick and helpful. There were only high-quality products on the buffet, such as ham, salmon, jam, etc. Everything was there, everything was fresh and tasty. We can only recommend it, we will certainly come back. A very fine and elegant cafe with friendly service and very clean toilets. I found it very pleasant that the guests were seated, so everything was very pleasant and relaxed. Highly recommended.

Location and ambience great. Also suitable for children, as there are two playgrounds in the immediate vicinity. The quality of the food is very good, if you are very hungry you need more than the main course. The service, attention, speed and flexibility were on the lower side and unfortunately contradicted the good impression that had been made up to that point. It's just a snapshot, but I wouldn't recommend it for parties over 10 people. It seemed to me as if the staff were overwhelmed with the task.

Came over spontaneously. Despite the full house and stress because it rained every now and then and the guests outside came inside, we were offered a place (2 people) after a short wait. Since we had to wait 3 minutes until the table was sorted, we received a welcome champagne on the house. After a few minutes we were able to order and the food arrived quickly. It tasted wonderful and the service was very nice and polite despite being understaffed and we never had to wait long, our every wish was fulfilled. Great respect to the employees of this restaurant. Service still exists.

We celebrated our daughter's first communion last week in the Espach Café. The very good support and helpful tips when selecting the menu in advance, the attentive service, the beautiful table decorations and the deliciously prepared food and drinks made the celebration a wonderful day for us and our guests. Very good food and very courteous staff. Can highly recommend the restaurant.

Very nicely and elegantly furnished. Staff friendly and tried to bring everything together (we were a larger group). The food wasn't cheap but it was very tasty and made from fresh ingredients. Not suitable for wheelchair users as you have to climb stairs to get to the disabled toilet. There is a nice playground for younger guests in the outdoor area.

It all took a very long time. 10 minutes until someone brought a card (and we had to actively try to get the staff's attention), another 15 minutes until someone took our order, the cappuccino and iced coffee then took another 20 minutes to arrive . To pay, we had to wave our arms again and then wait another 15 minutes until someone wanted our money. The location is nice, but the service completely spoils it.

Anyone who still knows the old bath, on whose site the café now stands, will definitely be happy about the “transformation”. The café is a popular meeting place for people with children as it includes a small playground. But the place is also an oasis in the middle of the big city, where people like to linger.

The Espachcafe is beautifully located on the Gera, right next to a playground with a meadow. It has a nice big terrace. Inside it is very attractively modern and comfortably furnished. The breakfast buffet was sufficient and not opulent in terms of fruit and vegetables. Scrambled eggs or omelettes and coffee were not included in the price Prosecco also had to be paid extra. We found it small-minded. We won't have breakfast there again. Sorry. The sun calmed us down a bit.

Food was very good. Excellent service. My disabled uncle was looked after excellently. You are also welcome with a dog. He was given something to drink and cuddles. The cake buffet is a dream. We will be back.

We were there for the breakfast buffet with a large group. The buffet was really good. Everything was fresh and of very good quality. The service was top. The children also felt very comfortable in the beautiful play area and found the Kaiserschmarrn very tasty.

A very nice location with a terrace. Was formerly a swimming pool. The food was very tasty and the service was also very, very friendly. The first restaurant I've ever visited that even has lotion to apply in the toilet. Class. 👍

Das Essen, Hauptgericht, Steak mit Gemüseauswahl war sehr gut. Das Dessert jedoch, gem. Karte, Panna Cotta auf Birnen, war sehr schlecht. Keine Spur von Panna Cotta, ein mindestens drei Tage alter Grießklumpen mit ohne Birnen und mit Beeren aus der Konserve und das für 7.50 Euro, das geht gar nicht. Wir haben das auch bemängelt, Reaktion gleich Null. Schade, dass der Gesamteindruck dadurch erheblich negativ beeinflusst wurde.

Price/performance ratio isn't that great - there are really better ones in Erfurr! First positive: - the location is very nicely decorated, there is also a changing table and an outside terrace with an adjacent playground - the service is also great - the cake was also delicious Negatives: Unfortunately, the coffee only tasted semi-good, so we definitely expected more given these high-priced offerings. In addition, the oat milk cost an incredible €1.50 surcharge, very exaggerated. If oat milk is supposed to be so expensive, what kind of cheap cow's milk is used? Luckily, there are now a lot of cafés that no longer charge a surcharge, or a maximum of 50 cents. It's a shame, even though it's beautifully located next to the park, I can't recommend it.

My attempt to have lunch there on a Sunday failed miserably today. Nice location? Yes. Want new customers? Obviously not. We were there exactly twice today - for the first and last time. We were immediately told that due to a lack of staff there would be no food, not even small things - this would only be available if ordered in advance. The joke is that we wanted to make a reservation the day before via the website. This is only possible for groups of 10 or more people. Unfortunately there were only three of us, so that didn't work. This restriction is completely incomprehensible given the need to pre-order. My comment that a note about the necessary pre-order on the website would be helpful was commented on with "I can't worry about that now." If the guests are blamed for their own excessive demands, something is wrong. It's a shame, in addition to good dishes/drinks, gastronomy depends on the service combined with friendly communication... unfortunately that didn't exist there. With appropriate communication, one could still understand the longer waiting time for our drinks, which we ordered anyway because two of the three people were not good on foot and needed a break, but not for the lack of hospitality. Addendum from March 19, 2024: Now I'm getting mail from Google because the company I reviewed here apparently discovered my review after 9 months or the lawyer who made this his calling and offered his services to take legal action against me. Sad.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, ambitionierte Einrichtung, die Stühle sind unbequem. Eine kleine feine Karte, die mehr verspricht, als das Essen hält. Ja, es hat geschmeckt, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Der Service ist bemüht. Die Karte hat die Allergene nicht ausgewiesen. Ich musste auch hier danach fragen. Was gar nicht geht, sind Hunde im Restaurant!!! Egal ob sie zu Gästen oder dem Personal gehören. Für mich eine Frage der Hygiene und des Respektieren, dass es Menschen mit Allergien und auch mit Angst vor Hunden gibt. Für uns ganz klar, kein zweiter Besuch.

The Espach Café always enchants with delicious food in a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. The service is very friendly, nice and careful. This restaurant is always a very good choice for us.

Ate delicious apple pie at the weekend in spring-like weather. I have to admit, the chocolate cake was also delicious. 🤭 We also had a good seat by the window. Unfortunately all the tables outside were occupied. Even though it was very full, we were served quickly and very nicely. So there are always several reasons to go again. Thank you.

The display offered a lot of cakes, including a vegan one, but unfortunately not gluten-free, which is why the others also gave up cakes so that I wouldn't have to watch. A pity!!!

This time, unfortunately, I have to take the trouble to share my deep disappointment with the service. We were looking forward to stopping by with my wife and young child after a long time, but after the first glimpse of the service, it was clear to me that it was going to be something typical again, so we have decided just to order something to drink. However, when I finally managed to get the attention of the attendant, who came over without a greeting, reluctantly and with a look on her face, I couldn't with whether I could ask for refreshments or quickly run away and not risk being the target of some black magic. I dared and asked. Of course I didn't leave with a sense of relief but with the feeling that I was indeed a very unwanted person there. I asked for drinks. The lady went to ask something and then came back. I didn't really understand, but I gathered that it might not be possible to take it with me, so I suggested that I would wait at the table then. She said that I should go out and wait for the waitress. For the second time in such a short time I didn't want to go through with it and so we went on our way.

A few days ago I went to Espachkaffee with my girlfriend to have coffee. Although some of the tables by the window were only reserved for dinner, they wanted to assign us a table in the far corner. After briefly asking the waiter, we were allowed to sit down at one of these tables. The cake looked delicious, but was also very expensive, didn't taste like it was homemade and the base was relatively hard. The waiter was friendly and quick, but decided his own tip. The coffee, the tables, the toilets are very clean.

Thank you for this wonderful break with you! Everything is so lovingly prepared...very romantic, perfect for Valentine's Day! The food was a dream! The menu was chosen appropriately! Everything was very good, except for the prices.

We were here for breakfast in a larger group. The atmosphere was cozy and the table was beautifully set. The buffet was quite clear. A cold cuts platter, a cheese plate, a plate of salmon, boiled eggs, a type of muesli, cornflakes, milk, natural yogurt, canned fruit, rolls, croissants, orange juice and water. Coffee and tea costs extra. Just like scrambled eggs or omelettes cost extra. I don't know how children were billed, but all in all I think it's very expensive. But everything tasted great.

Very cozy and child-friendly. Extremely friendly service and an upscale, very clean atmosphere. Unfortunately, however, it is quite expensive. In my opinion, the children's meals in particular should definitely be cheaper. The portion size of the main dishes was also quite manageable for the price (which we are happy to pay for quality, but you should be full). We'll still be back!

Tolles familienfreundliches Etablissement! Hier stimmt einfach alles: Die Lage im Park mit angrenzendem Spielplatz, die schöne Location, modern und gleichzeitig gemütlich eingerichtet, dazu unaufdringliche, entspannte Musik. Das Personal war unheimlich freundlich und die Preise für das leckere Frühstück absolut angemessen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das familienfreundliche Ambiente, inkl. Hochstühle, Wickelmöglichkeit und sogar einer kleinen Spiel- und Stillecke im Obergeschoss, wo man sich zurückziehen kann. Hunde sind im Restaurant ebenfalls willkommen. Leider waren wir nur als Touristen zu Gast, sonst kämen wir sicherlich öfters vorbei!

Ein Refugium zum Einkehren. Etwas unangebracht, das ständige sitzen am Laptop..heute 03.01.2024 ( mag geschäftlich sein) was aber irgendwie sehr störend ist.

Das Personal ist freundlich und stets bemüht, es kümmert sich zügig um Anliegen und geht auf Wünsche (vegetarisch aber auch Nahrungsunverträglichkeiten) ein. Das Essen ist sehr gut zubereitet und auch präsentiert. Was nur ungewohnt war, ist das die Portionsgrößen eher dem gehobenen Klientel angepasst sind, heißt die Portionen sind elegant klein gehalten also kein Vergleich zu einem bürgerlichen Restaurant (das ist aber reine Ansichts-/Geschmackssache). Das 4 Gänge-Menü zum Silvesterabend war Top. Leider keine Parkplätze am Restaurant/Cafè da es in einem kl. Park liegt, parken in angrenzenden Straßen.

Wie immer waren wir am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag abends zum Essen. Die Gänsebrust war fantastisch, das Ambiente toll und die Freundlichkeit des Personals wie immer spitze. Sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke.

Speisen von mittlerer Qualität. Koch sollte bei diesem Preissegment noch viel üben. Kellner sind sehr nett, das reicht aber nicht aus um diese Gaststätte weiterzuempfehlen.

Wir haben am 25.12.2023 hier unser Weihnachtsmittagessen verbracht. Die Tische waren festlich dekoriert, frisches Brot und Aufstrich standen bereit, sofort wurden die Getränke serviert, so dass die Wartezeit auf das Essen angenehm war. Das Essen war wunderbar, köstlich, hervorragend. Die Bedienung kümmerte sich stets um unser Wohl und auch ein großes Lob an die Chefin, die selbst auf die kleinsten Dinge achtete und selbst die erloschene Tischkerze sofort wieder zum Leuchten brachte. Wir haben ein perfektes Weihnachtessen erlebt. Herzlichen Dank dem gesamten Team.

Sehr stimmiges Ambiente mit sehr aufmerksamer Bedienung. Leckeres Essen und gute Getränke immer passend zur Jahreszeit. Da kommt man gerne wieder.
