The food was good but nothing special. The location and service, however, were top-notch.

We held our company summer party at Eppendorfer Insel. The preparations went extremely well. The party was fantastic, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend it.

We celebrated our wedding in the Loft on Eppendorfer Insel. From the very first contact with the lovely Janna from the venue, she was super friendly and professional! Everything was perfect during the first visit and viewing, and we knew this was our venue! The rest of the planning went smoothly, and our wishes were always taken care of. There was a solution for everything. On the day of the celebration, everything was beautifully decorated, and we were looked after around the clock. All the staff were always attentive and did their best! A huge thank you to Yusuf and the entire team for the absolutely wonderful day! ❤️

Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service was always attentive and helpful. They politely asked us several times whether we were enjoying our food – which we definitely were! We love bread, and our bread basket was constantly refilled without even asking – we really appreciated that. Everything was truly delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were warm and friendly. We'd love to come back!

We are completely happy and couldn't imagine a better wedding venue! The location was absolutely beautiful, with lots of charm and attention to detail. Even the typical Hamburg weather couldn't dampen the mood! Thanks to the great atmosphere and organization, we barely noticed the rain. The service was simply fantastic: super friendly, dedicated, and always with a smile. You could really tell how hard the team worked to give us an unforgettable day, and they definitely succeeded! The food was another highlight. We had a buffet from their catering partner. They had a huge selection, and it was delicious for all of our guests. At least, that's all we've heard. We would choose this location again anytime and can warmly recommend it! A huge thank you to Jana and Yusuf, who fulfilled our every wish.

Our spontaneity was rewarded when we randomly chose a restaurant. None of us had been here before, and we were very impressed with the service and location. When the weather was actually nice but the wind was too strong, it was simply brilliant to sit in the convertible-style restaurant section, where the roof simply slides aside. The attentive, friendly service also contributed to our overall well-being. The food was impeccable. This won't be our last visit.

The food was surprisingly good and fresh. The service was very attentive and friendly, but understaffed. For a warm summer evening, it was too indoors and at times quite loud – worth a try.

We've always come here for the good pizza, but now we've also tried the main courses and are very impressed. The Wiener Schnitzel was perfectly crispy and large enough to fill you up. The only thing we didn't like was the fries that came with it. The rib eye, cut into strips, was perfectly cooked and very flavorful, with a delicious chimichurri sauce. The prices are fair.

The loving decoration, the harmonious ambience and the attentive team made the day unforgettable for everyone. As a photographer, I don't just look at the light, but also at the atmosphere - and everything was just right here. A wonderful place for special occasions.

I celebrated my 70th birthday on April 26, 2025 in the lounge with over 40 guests. All of my guests were very satisfied with the ambience, the very attentive service and the purely vegetarian great buffet. Even hard-core meat consumers were thrilled and surprised that a vegetarian buffet could taste so good. The selected wines were also extremely good. During the preparation period, I had a professional and very friendly contact person, Janna Giesecke, who gave me very good advice. The one star deduction in the ambience is due to the condition of the sanitary facilities (especially the women's toilet) that is in need of improvement. I don't want to go into more detail about where the problem was... Apart from that, this is a highly recommended place to have a really good party. Many thanks to the team!

Very nice restaurant, stylishly furnished, very friendly and attentive service. The food tasted excellent! However, we didn't know that "event catering" also took place there - the four of us had arranged to meet again after a long time. The table was on the right in the large room with a large group, which of course was a bit louder. However, when a jazz quartet played, a conversation was actually no longer possible... So it's better to find out in advance which room you want to sit in and whether there is such an event there if you want it to be a little quieter.

We were there Thursday and Friday. The food is simple but simply great. Appropriate portions at appropriate prices. Both tartars as well as steaks and pasta dishes are simply flawless; the truffle pasta has freshly grated truffles on top. The ambience is not the modern restaurant but a really cozy and quiet place to eat. Ideal for dates or evenings for two. The mood is very nice. The service is very cheerful and engaging, responsive to questions and requests, and all in all does a great job. Kind regards to Yusuf at this point. For us, the store has become close to our hearts and is always a pleasure to visit.

We dropped by spontaneously on a Sunday evening and were greeted very friendly, even without a reservation, and given a pleasant seat in the beautifully decorated interior. The food was excellent - it didn't take long, it was a nice sized portion and most of all it was very tasty. The fillet was medium and very tasty, the jus went well and special requests regarding the side dishes were also implemented. The homemade lemonades and desserts were also very tasty. The delicious bread with the dip was also excellent. The service was great - quick and very polite. The ambience is also great, the many wooden elements are beautifully decorated and illuminated. All in all, it was a very nice time, in a wonderful atmosphere with delicious food. We would love to come back!

We were there with a group of 13 people and absolutely loved it. The dishes were consistently attractively prepared and extremely delicious. The service was quick, attentive and extremely friendly. The ambience was also convincing - despite there being a lot of guests in the front area, we were able to have a pleasant conversation. We were all very satisfied and would love to come back. A table reservation is definitely recommended!

Our favorite place in Hamburg: Sea bream was very tasty, especially the sea bream. The staff are very attentive, especially the chef Mert, who takes special care of the guests.

I was recently on the island with my family and friends for a family celebration and I have to say, you don't just feel like a guest but as if you were in your own living room. The ambience was great, the hosts, especially Princess Lorene, MEGA, the food was very good. Short - highly recommended.

Food was great! Service was a bit hectic, but it was also busy and understandably quite loud. Unfortunately, we sat right next to the sliding door, which opened and closed in one go, and the heaters didn't help much when it was below zero outside. Next time you make your reservation, make sure you get a different table and will definitely come back.

Walked in after a concert because it looked nice from the outside. Staff was immediately at our table and served us quickly. Everything was perfect special thanks to Yusuf and the bar man who speaks English.

I had dinner here today in the run-up to Christmas. The ambience is beautiful and a mix of tradition and modernity. Everything was very clean and tidy. The service was super friendly, even though they were definitely stressed. The food is fresh and extremely tasty. I can recommend the veal schnitzel without hesitation: first class. In winter there is also a fresh ginger-lemon tea here. I would definitely like to come back.

I have rarely eaten as fantastically as I did in this restaurant! The penne was cooked absolutely perfectly - al dente and with a sauce that exceeded all expectations. Every forkful was a delight and definitely the best penne I've eaten in my life. Simply unbeatable! I also loved the drinks. The Caipirinha in particular was excellent: fresh, mixed just right and incredibly tasty. Perfect to round off the delicious meal. The atmosphere was stylish and cozy, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. All in all, a wonderful experience that I can only recommend to everyone!

A very nice location in itself, but at the moment it seems a bit soulless and therefore less well attended. Unfortunately, the kitchen is not good, the fish was dry or oversalted, the schnitzel looked like frozen food from the deep fryer, the cucumber salad was floating in the water, and there were dried onions on the pike-perch. You expect a little more in Eppendorf. But service was very nice and attentive. But food could really be improved.

The food? Simply delicious! The guests were absolutely thrilled with the food, and I can only confirm that. You could really tell that there was a lot of love in it. And the staff was really great! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, which made the whole event even more enjoyable. All in all, I can only recommend Eppendorf Island! A great place for special occasions where you simply feel good. I'm looking forward to more events there!

Solid restaurant, the dishes are okay but the prices are upscale. We were expecting more of an upscale kitchen and restaurant and were therefore slightly disappointed. Nevertheless, everything tasted good.

I was incredibly satisfied. The service was very good and the food was delicious. Especially the waiter named Yusuf gave us suggestions from the menu and he served us great. Then he took great care to bring my cards that I had forgotten on the table. The communication was very uncomplicated. Definitely one of my favorite places here. A place I highly recommend! ☺️✨

Despite a confirmed online reservation, we found ourselves in front of a closed company. Anyone who already offers online reservations should be able to keep track of things and if something goes wrong, at least inform the customer or cancel. For us that was it with the island, there are enough restaurants in Hamburg.

We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday with the family in the evening. Although there were two other private parties celebrating in the house, no one got into each other's way. The service was great, very attentive, quick and extremely nice. Yusuf looked after us and you can tell how much joy and passion he brings in his job. Thank you, dear Yusuf :-)

Super delicious food, beef fillet and gnocchi are each extremely well balanced and the meat is fried perfectly. Value for money is great!

Simply fantastic! What I/we like best is the service. This is really great and the waiters are all very helpful and attentive, but they are not annoying. it's not too much. The food is also good, the only thing I would like would be small snacks like olives and stuff that you can eat every now and then. Otherwise, I can highly recommend the restaurant, we like being there and have found a great location for drinking wine and socializing. Keep it up!

We arrived at a very nice, cozy location. Great on a summer day with the roof open :) the pizza arrived very quickly and tasted great too. A very well topped stone oven pizza (perfect ratio of sauces, crust and toppings :D). The team is very open and accommodating. A great recommendation for a cozy evening ;)

Very good food and delicious drinks. The winter garden is great and is certainly suitable for the winter. The staff is incredibly friendly and we were allowed to sit in the winter garden despite the pouring rain after work and were given umbrellas for the way home. Dear team, we'll be back 😍

We made a reservation a day in advance for three people, two adults and our son, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We expected to have a wonderful time. However, when we arrived, our table wasn't ready. Instead, they added a table to another group's seating area, right in the walkway, and suggested we sit there. For a supposedly high-quality establishment, this is unacceptable! They ruined our celebration, and we ended up not having dinner because sitting in a walkway with strangers on our special day was simply not an option, especially when we had a reservation! Our evening was completely ruined!
