Very tasty, you can't complain; the portions are more than enough. The price is very reasonable. The plate for two people costs €44, which isn't too expensive considering the variety. Three or four people could easily eat there. The price for drinks is €2 for a Coke, etc. That's almost unbeatable for a restaurant. Everything was top-notch.

Finally discovered – and definitely not for the last time! We've driven past the Engelshof countless times without stopping in – a mistake we definitely won't repeat! We were completely thrilled on our first visit and immediately decided: We'll be back. The restaurant impresses with a warm, inviting atmosphere where you simply can't help but feel at home. The menu offers a successful mix of hearty Balkan dishes, regional classics like Sauerbraten (sauerbraten), and seasonal highlights – currently, for example, delicious asparagus in various variations. Children are also well catered for: There's a children's menu with dishes that are absolutely delicious, not only in terms of taste but also in terms of size. A particularly charming touch: If a child finishes their plate, they get a free ice cream – a loving gesture that will be remembered forever. The service was attentive, friendly, and warm – we felt well looked after throughout. A quick tip: Be sure to make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends!

We felt completely at home at the Engelshof – mainly due to the warm and attentive service. We were also very impressed by the international, authentic cuisine. The menu offers a great selection of typical Balkan dishes, various schnitzel and rump steak variations – the meat was excellently prepared: tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. We also particularly liked the seasonal offerings, including the current delicious asparagus dishes. And on Sundays, every dish is preceded by a hearty beef broth – a lovely and comforting gesture. Be sure to make a reservation in advance – the restaurant is very popular and well-attended. We will definitely be back!

We walked back to the center after the football match and on the way we saw on GoogleMaps that this restaurant had good reviews. This turned out to be true! It was quite busy and we had not made a reservation. Nevertheless, the hospitable service was able to arrange a place for 5 people. We ordered gypsy schnitzel and it was very tasty! Very large and thick schnitzel. Very tender meat and with tasty French fries. The sauce was also good. We also got a tasty salad as a starter. While enjoying a nice beer. Worth repeating!

Wir waren heute durch Glück im Engelshof essen. Wir waren mit unseren 2 Kindern dort und haben den schönsten Abend seit langem erlebt. Das Essen ist ein Traum. Unfassbar lecker, große Portionen. Die Gastfreundschaft und den Service haben wir in dem Umfang noch nie erlebt, es macht den Besuch unvergleichlich. Herzlich und sehr kinderfreundlich. Wir würden auch 10 Sterne geben! Absolute Empfehlung! Wir kommen nicht aus der Gegend, werden aber auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend den wir als Familie hatten......

We were lucky enough to have dinner at Engelshof today. We were there with our 2 children and had the best evening in a long time. The food is to die for. Incredibly tasty, large portions. We have never experienced the hospitality and service to this extent before, it makes the visit incomparable. Warm and very child-friendly. We would also give 10 stars! Absolute recommendation! We're not from the area but will definitely be back. Thank you for the great evening we had as a family......

Review: Disappointing - a restaurant with no space for guests We have been trying in vain to reserve a table in this highly acclaimed restaurant for over a year. But no matter when you try, it never works. When Borussia plays, everything is blocked. At Easter? Full. And even eight months before Christmas everything seems to be fully booked. One wonders whether regular guests are still allowed to dine here or whether the entire calendar is reserved for regular guests and VIPs. It's a shame - the restaurant's reputation precedes it, but if you never get the chance to eat there, you won't be able to form your own opinion about it

Innkeeper Dali and his team are always very friendly and accommodating. The food is always good and plentiful! The atmosphere - well, it's very loud there because it's always full! Without an early reservation you have little chance of getting a place. Conclusion anyway: highly recommended!

Sehr gute Küche, Balkanspezialitäten und "internationale Küche". Bei der internationalen Küche habe ich mich beim Lesen der Speisekarte in die 80er versetzt gefühlt. Und ich liebe es! Das Lokal befindet sich in einem Eckhaus, was ich perse immer schon charmant finde. Die Einrichtung ist moderner, als ich erwartet habe, an den Wänden viele Bilder der Schützenbruderschaft. Die Atmosphäre finde ich sehr schön. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser erster, aber nicht letzter Besuch dort. Ich empfehle auf jeden Fall eine Reservierung!

Hello. This is the right place for people who like meat and hearty food. There is plenty of choice for non-vegetarians. The portions are very large. Price performance is right. If necessary, just have it packed up. When you see the waitress, you think: "They must have been elite soldiers before :-)." No fear. The service is very friendly, personable and attentive. The food can only be recommended and the price-performance ratio is TOP! At the end you get a small gift on the house! There are enough parking spaces around the restaurant!

Der Service ist unzureichend. Wenn man etwas bestellen will, kommt niemand. Im Innenrestaurant 3 Aushilfen. Alle mit sich selbst beschäftigt. Ein Gast und im Biergarten 4 Gäste.. man muss schon reingehen, die Aushilfen aus ihren Gesprächen reißen, damit man im Biergarten bedient wird.

I have eaten in the restaurant several times. The only thing I have to remember is that it is always very crowded and therefore noisy. Since I am not interested in football, I avoid the days when football is played. You have to make a reservation otherwise you won't get a seat.

I ate there with my girlfriend on September 21st, 2024. She was there for the first time, I have been there several times. She was overwhelmed by the politeness, service and the freshness and quality. I can only sign that, I can recommend the restaurant 100 with a clear conscience % recommend. The service was consistently friendly and the food was really exceptional!!!! We made another table reservation straight away and are now really looking forward to Sunday!!!
