En Güzel Döner in Darmstadt

There was a sharp piece of bone in the meat of the doner pizza, which almost broke my tooth. I went back there specifically and confronted the owner. Unfortunately, he was uncooperative and just said that it's normal for there to be pieces of bone in the meat. This is the second time this has happened!

Unfortunately, I was unlucky: The fries were thin and dry, and the doner consisted almost entirely of tough, annoying pieces of meat. The employees are nice, the shop seems clean, and the staff is helpful – I'd like to highlight that positively. But for €9 for a doner box, it's really not justified. And I honestly think €2 for a small ayran is excessive.

The doner kebab plate was absolutely terrible. The fries were old, the salad was substandard, the meat was tasteless and there was far too little of it, and the sauce was also nothing special. All for €13.50! How anyone can call this the "best doner in Darmstadt" is truly beyond me. This was definitely my first and last visit there.

The taste of the kebab was one of the best I've eaten so far. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the price, although I see it justified by the fact that the meat has no flavor enhancers.

Unfortunately I have to strongly advise against this kebab shop. I recently ordered a falafel kebab here and got food poisoning shortly afterwards. A few hours after eating I had severe stomach pain, nausea and vomited several times. These symptoms lasted for almost two days. The place seemed decent at first glance, but after this experience I have serious concerns about the hygiene and freshness of the ingredients.

For us, this is one of the best kebab shops in Darmstadt. When we're in Darmstadt we always go there, unless it's closed. There is no indoor area to sit, we always take the kebab in the flatbread with us. The ambience therefore plays no role in my overall rating. I can recommend the kebab in flatbread. They make the flatbread themselves and it tastes really good. The meat has good seasoning, is soft and well grilled on the rotisserie. It tastes really delicious to me. The sauce is aromatic and tastes like more. The salad and vegetable ingredients are fresh. The ingredients are well distributed in the flatbread so that I have meat, sauce and salad from start to finish. Price-performance ratio is okay.

A Darmstadt legend that will live on for at least another generation! I am pleased that after many years the Engüzel family still offers top quality at fair prices. I have known the shop for 20 years and can recommend it to everyone.

I have finally found the kebab shop I trust. An excellent kebab! The bread tastes really good and the meat is delicious too. It is obvious that this is real meat and not minced meat skewer or turkey skewer.

I don't understand the hype at all! Price performance is absolutely bad now €10 for a kebab? All in the area for €7.50-9 maximum...Where did I end up in Switzerland? In addition, my dad gets the meat from the box for whatever reason, so it's not freshly cut from the grill skewer but from the box next to the grill skewer... I think it's an absolute no-go, the customer wants fresh meat, that shouldn't be a problem for the price... now the worst thing I unfortunately couldn't believe. The salads are not washed, they take them out of the packaging and cut them to size... it makes me sick that they don't even pay attention to hygiene.

For me there was a falafel "doner" and a falafel dürüm, both with vegan sauce. The sauce consists of a good portion of tahini from the jar. Both were delicious, but there is a plus point for the bread, as the sesame on it gives it a great taste. The falafel has a good flavor and the two portions were really filling!

Sauce completely tasteless!? Salad only white and red cabbage. Bread hard as a board. Ok, it was just before closing time. But you shouldn't deliver THAT weakly for 8 euros❗ - And wrapping it in waste paper doesn't make it any better for us either.

I don't understand the good reviews, I was there on the recommendation of salad, not fresh, bread like stone and hardly any sauce on it, not particularly there are many better kebab shops!

Dürüm was very tasty, the service was very stressed. The packaging (I had ordered to take away) looked like wrapping paper for parcels and was unappetizingly greasy (I rated it 1 star under Ambiete). Simply disgusting. And I find shelling out €9 (or was it €8?) for this ensemble daring to say the least. Even if it tasted good, the surroundings have to be right too!

One of the best kebabs I've ever eaten: Freshly baked, crusty bread, filled with real, very tasty meat and not cheap, tasteless minced meat lobes like in many other shops. The cut vegetables always look super fresh and taste that way too. Not cheap for €8, but definitely worth the money. I could eat it every day.

A super tasty kebab with crisp lettuce and delicious tomatoes. The kebab was still warm even all the way to Mühltal. Will be repeated at some point when the kebab hunger comes again.

On the recommendation today we ordered 3 kebabs with please no carrots which were still in there to take away. The meat was like rubber, there wasn't even a drop of sauce to see or taste! The bread was crispy and good. I've eaten much better in Darmstadt. For us it's finished there. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.

Was recommended to me as “the best kebab in Darmstadt”. Unfortunately not at all what I would have expected. There were 5 people there and they all had the same experience. The meat was very fatty, insufficiently grilled and the taste was simply subterranean. The salad was fresh and the bread was okay, but the bad meat didn't make any difference. All in all, the kebab was a disappointment. For the proud price of €8.50, you should offer your customers more quality and a seat.

I went there specifically because the kebab is supposed to be good. Such a failure! I told him I wanted two kebabs. At home I see there is no meat in it, just salad. Obergine actually has no place in it. The bread was way too crusty. I could have made some bread for myself at home.

Doner kebab was good, but not world class either, the price of 9€ for a kebab is no longer relevant. I expected a little more for this price and I was shocked.

One of the BEST kebabs in Darmstadt. Parking is a bit difficult, but definitely worth it if you like kebabs with freshly baked bread!!! Absolute recommendation!!!

If you don't let the outside appearance of the store put you off, you'll definitely be rewarded! All dishes ordered so far have exceeded expectations! The vegetarian kebab with eggplant is particularly recommended. But lahmachun, kebab pizza and the like are also very good.

++ Solid snack ++ I went here for lunch with a colleague. He lives in Darmstadt and has been to En Güzel Döner several times and recommended it. We had a kebab box and a lahmacun. Both were freshly prepared and were very tasty. The snack bar makes a solid and clean impression. I would come again. 👉 Therefore, I can definitely recommend En Güzel Döner.

I have seen such good reviews on the internet and have been there more than 3 times. Disappointed every time. Sometimes the bread wasn't baked well, sometimes the meat wasn't baked well. I don't know how you can give such good reviews here but for me that's just one star. It actually doesn't taste good here at all. The kebab sauce is simply tartar sauce from Aldi Süd. Simply shaky. Doner kebab cold because it is only wrapped in paper instead of aluminum foil. Cartilage and pieces of bone in the meat. The taste is bad, either I have Corona and don't taste anything or the food here is really tasteless. The only positive thing is the homemade flatbread. On top of that, it's expensive too. I won't get my lunch here anymore!

Sehr leckerer Döner, frisches selbst gemachtes Brot, leckeres Fleisch und guter Salatmix. Das Ambiente ist super, hier kann man entspannt seinen Döner essen. Es gibt viele Drinks und andere Köstlichkeiten. Hier muss man den Döner gegessen haben.

Das Brot war sehr zäh und labberig, kaum Soße drauf und insgesamt sehr klein gewesen. Das Ganze dann für mittlerweile 7 Euro. War sehr enttäuscht, vor allem da er ständig so hoch gelobt wird. Wenn das angeblich das Beste ist was Darmstadt zu bieten hat, tun mir die Darmstädter echt leid.

Zu teuer, die falaffel Box. Und nur pommes und falaffel schmeckt fade. 7, 00 Euro für 5 falaffel und 20 pommes ist echt zu viel

Alles was bestellt wurde war sehr lecker. Geschmacklich merkt man auf jeden Fall, dass das Brot selbst gemacht ist. Wir kommen jetzt öfters. Besonders gut finde ich die Umweltfreundliche Verpackung.

Beste Döner in ganz Darmstadt. Das Brot wird frisch vorbereitet und generell ist es einfach eine Geschmacks Explosion. Die falafel muss man auch unbedingt probieren, super lecker
