We come from Lüdinghausen and usually eat at Hellas in Lüdinghausen, run by his parents and brothers. This family lives and breathes their restaurant, no matter where they are 🥰. Simply wonderful. Dining out there is a real pleasure.

We can recommend the restaurant. The food was very tasty. They also included ouzo on the house. The service was friendly, but initially a bit slow. Don't arrive too late; we were the last ones there at 10:00 PM and were then asked to leave. It would be better to adjust the opening hours accordingly. We'll be back again.

The visit on August 5, 2025, with eight people, was a success. The service was attentive, friendly, and prompt. The food and drinks were brought to the table without a long wait; they were tasty and plentiful. The ambiance is above average, and the furniture is attractive.

The restaurant offers a pleasant ambiance, and we received a friendly welcome. The menu is very extensive and geared toward what you'd typically expect at a German "Greek" restaurant—although, in my opinion, it has little to do with authentic Greek cuisine. The prices are rather high, but they serve plenty of ouzo. My dish, the bifteki, was unfortunately not cooked all the way through and tasted only average, if not below average. After the visit, I had severe stomach pain and gastrointestinal discomfort for several days. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience—I can't recommend the restaurant.

Since we've been there several times, today's was disappointing. Despite having a reservation for two people with a dog, they initially refused to offer us a table. The food was delicious as always, but a sauce was missing. Service was unexpectedly chaotic and disorganized. The atmosphere on the garden chairs in the cramped conservatory was unfortunately uncomfortable compared to the interior. The clientele on a Saturday evening was abysmal! A cell phone was blaring loudly at the table directly behind us in an attempt to quiet the child. Despite warnings, the staff showed no understanding and did not reprimand us. Several strollers were a tripping hazard right in the entrance area. A burping and shouting group of elderly people right next door (dress code: garden slippers). Manners take practice! In the future, I'd rather forgo the carnival atmosphere and choose a different Greek restaurant.

First visit. Food was really tasty. Service was super friendly but unfortunately also super disorganized, not to say catastrophically chaotic. Lots of staff, but one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. I've never experienced anything like that before. We are seated at a table only to be moved again a few minutes later. The table next door came after us but had already finished eating before we even got our order. You almost had to beg for drinks by waving and shouting. This was brought to attention by the reason for the service: “The boss is not there”. Shortly before I was “starving” (i.e. after 1.5 hours!) the food arrived and I still had a lovely birthday. There is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of organization. ☮️

Despite reserving a table for 7:30 p.m., we had to wait 35 (!) minutes in the entrance area with other guests. After another 25 minutes we were actually able to order. Drinks also came, but we waited in vain for food until 10 p.m. We then left the restaurant without eating. I've never experienced anything like this before. I will never enter this store again.

Were placed in the winter garden with a large group. At first it was very warm. Later it got increasingly colder. We waited a long time for the food. The fish plate was clear for the price. The bifteki was huge. Everything tasted fine. The service was friendly. Finally, the card payment with Visa debit card was declined. Completely incomprehensible these days. I can only recommend the restaurant to a limited extent. It also seems to be crowded on Saturday evenings, hence the seating on garden chairs. Maybe more of an alternative in summer. It is becoming more and more apparent that in many restaurants you no longer get the equivalent value for the high prices.

Very long waiting time for the food to arrive. We ordered our food at 6:45 p.m. and still hadn't received it at 8 p.m. And the restaurant really wasn't crowded.

Before visiting Ellinikon, you should be prepared to wait for a long time, but you will usually be “compensated” with a good meal. In my opinion, yesterday was the absolute lowest point: - 1L PET plastic bottles of mineral water “Baron Westfalen” were served and, not to be outdone, were charged in full at the price of a gastronomic glass bottle. The purchase price of the PET bottles is 48 cents and a margin of 1400(!!!)% was simply calculated at €7.20 - an absolute disgrace - Waiting times of 2-3 hours, guests left the restaurant - hectic staff, some of whom were on the verge of crying because the pressure from the kitchen was immense - Portions were simply reduced (2 chicken breasts at the 93 instead of 3 times) or changed (yoghurt cream instead of tzatziki) All in all, a total failure.

A good restaurant, with nice service. It's fun to come to Christmas Day with the family! We all had a lot of fun with 12 people and the reservation was short notice and well organized! The food was very tasty, tasty and good. Juicy meat, tasty tzatziki and the ouzo's in between are also good! We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend the restaurant.

The food is generally good and so far we have always been served by a very courteous, charming gentleman. Now, however, the service was so subpar that we have to say: Never again Ellinikon! We have never experienced such rude and rude service staff anywhere.

Based on a recommendation, we decided to eat here. We were assigned a table in the winter garden. So we sat at a garden table with garden chairs without cushions, no restaurant feeling. Constant cold draft through the front door. When it started to rain, this was discovered through leaks in the “roof” above us. There seemed to be no clear responsibility for the tables and it seemed a bit disorganized. The waiting time between starter and main course was about 1 hour. The food was okay, the portion size was sufficient.

A great restaurant with delicious food, fair prices and a wonderful ambience. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive service staff - at first it was a bit unusual to be looked after by five different but very friendly people at the same time, but you quickly got used to it ☺️ The only small point of criticism is the quite small parking lot with no possibility of turning. But that wasn't a big problem either - parking in a residential area always works. Conclusion: It's absolutely worth it! We would love to come back 🫶

We had booked a table for 7:30 p.m. and were still in good spirits, even though the table wasn't ready yet. Well - it can happen. However, if you watch over the course of the evening how the staff scurry around with empty hands instead of picking up dirty dishes along the way and checking whether a glass is empty, that explains a lot. Apparently the service also doesn't have fixed stations (assigned table areas that they are responsible for). That also explains the chaos. The disaster began when one of two starters was simply forgotten. We then waited almost 1.5 hours for the main course. It's no use saying "at least it's fresh" and "everyone wanted gyros today". We got the impression that the food was appealing, but the organization of the kitchen and the service staff was a disaster or non-existent. It's a shame because the restaurant definitely had potential. But it's no fun like that.

Christmas party: Little parking space as the SUV drivers often took up 2 parking spaces. Our table was in the summer annex, we were wondering why the guests ate with jackets, despite the heat mushrooms it was very cold, we asked if they had blankets for their legs, then we were told no, we didn't have any more. The first drinks came quickly, the service was nice, but every time we had to let us know who we wanted something new to drink, we had to wait over 1.5 hours for the food and some of it came to the table cold, with my boss the meat was cold, we reported this, then it went back to the kitchen and came back burnt, inedible. We all got an ouzo, we asked who it was from, from the house because we had to wait so long for the food. It would have been nice if we had been asked what we would like to drink, since almost all of the ouzo wasn't drunk. My bosses wanted to pay after we were asked if it was tasty and we said no, then they didn't even ask why not? We waited again for half an hour, the bosses went to the bar where the cash register was, on the bill was my boss's charred meat, which of course she didn't want to pay for, they took it off the bill. The tiles in the inside area were super smooth. And when driving down from the parking lot you saw a very faint sign as it wasn't lit that there was a parking lot on the other side of the street, poorly done.

We had reserved a day in advance. We were told reservations were only available for 5:30 or 7:30 p.m. This would be because otherwise the guests would complain that it takes too long for the food to be served. We then decided on 5:30 p.m. When we arrived the restaurant was already busy. The drink order came quickly. We ordered the food and the salad arrived shortly after. And then nothing happened anymore. When asked, the food arrived after over an hour. When we had finished eating, people were already standing in the entrance for the 7:30 p.m. reservation. The food was good as always! But the atmosphere was not as warm and friendly as in summer. The service seemed stressed. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to a cozy Greek evening. Maybe you should rethink the reservation concept. Again.. the food is great!

We went here for dinner with 2 friends last night. Instead of choosing a main course, the 4 of us chose 7 different starters together! What a super idea! We were served a delicious variety of different delicacies!

We were here for dinner with friends and it was a great impression at first - the staff were super nice and some of them had a great sense of humor, everything looked great at first and the menu seemed promising. Unfortunately, things gradually became more and more chaotic and sobering: -My husband got his main course 15 minutes later than the rest. They didn't really apologize. -Reordering drinks took a really long time (about 20 minutes), the communication between colleagues seemed a bit confused on the subject -With portions of almost €20, three of us were still hungry at the end. It tasted very good, but was far too small compared to the Greek platters at the same price. When you looked around you noticed that some guests were very dissatisfied that evening, maybe they just had a bad day? Nevertheless: I wouldn't eat here again, it was just not enough for the price range.

Unfortunately just chaos! Had reserved a table for 11 people for Saturday. Despite making a reservation, we had to wait half an hour because the restaurant was completely overcrowded. We were then seated at a table that was much too small and shortly afterwards moved to a larger one. The whole thing took 45 minutes. We had to wait a long time for drinks and food. Unfortunately some of the food was cold and a few things were missing.

Super nice staff, food was also super tasty. What was a bit annoying was the barking dogs on site, which makes you ask yourself, do you really have to take your dog with you to a restaurant?

Ordered gyros, gratinated sheep's cheese, schnitzel and various sauces via the online service today. It was only ready 25 minutes after the official appointment, when we got home we found that the gyro was cold, instead of the two sheep's cheese we ordered there was only one and it was also cold! The Metaxa sauce was watery and of course cold. All in all, this was a failure! I've eaten there several times and at least the food was always very good and tasty, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered there.

We went to the restaurant on October 4, 2024 based on a recommendation with a table reservation at 6 p.m. I was the last to have my food served at 8 p.m. and it was cold. I can't recommend it. The ambience has nothing to do with a Greek and neither does the gyro plate.

The ambience of the restaurant is really beautiful and very inviting – a real highlight! Unfortunately, the food didn't quite keep up with the atmosphere. The meat was a bit dry, and overall I've eaten better at the Greek one. Maybe we're just a little spoiled, so I'm still giving it 3 stars. As I said, the ambience deserves 100 percent, but the food still has room for improvement.”

Great restaurant with Greek cuisine. The food is super tasty and sufficiently portioned. The only point of criticism is due to the service staff. In my opinion, people asked if anyone else wanted something to drink far too irregularly/rarely. So you had to be a little more attentive to the service staff in order to find a suitable time for an order.

2024_0406: After getting to know the Ariston restaurant in Schwerte with the KulinarisCard 2017, we are very pleased to have found the new location in Schwerte-Villigst. Restaurant Ariston is now called Restaurant Ellinikon. We got a very nice table in the winter garden of the Ellinikon restaurant, and there are enough parking spaces in front of the house for the guests of the house. Our dinner was the Ellinikon platter for 2 people, a combination of lamb, beef fillet, pork fillet, gyros, with tzatziki, herb butter, fries and salad. The food tasted excellent. We also drank freshly tapped Hövels and Ouzo On The Rocks. Thank you for the successful evening. We will definitely come back when we are in the area again. 2024_0920: Visited the Ellinikon restaurant in Schwerte again. Wonderful evening in the winter garden in wonderful late summer weather. Ellinikon plate for 2 people impresses with its quality and quantity. The service staff is very attentive and takes excellent care of the guests.

Today we were able to get to know the Ellinikon at a birthday party and were very satisfied from start to finish. Super friendly hospitality, delicious food, no “ready-made food” and still quickly on the table for a hungry stomach. Large selection of non-alcoholic drinks too. Special requests were happily and reliably implemented. The prices are also fair and if you can't manage everything (which I think was the case with all of us), you are offered to take the rest with you. Our conclusion - we would be happy to drive another 50 km for this great experience and would be happy to come back even without a special reason! Thank you for the hospitality!

We had a family dinner at Ellinikon in Schwerte. At first it made a pretty solid impression. Half construction site, half modernized restaurant. But he should be disappointed. The menu on the internet and outside the restaurant didn't match the menu in the restaurant at all. We then decided on a MetaxaTeller with 3 people. Didn't taste bad per se. But from Monday to Tuesday the drama began. The next disappointment was to follow in the form of food poisoning. I've never felt so bad. Unfortunately it can only be due to the Ellinikon restaurant, as there was nothing else in the previous days. I'm really angry and it's obvious that 3 people, all Metaxa, had the same problem. The service seemed overwhelmed because the boss was supposedly on vacation. I'm sorry but I'll never eat here again and can't recommend it. Never again.

If you already work with a delivery service like Lieferando, you should be able to keep the prices and goods up to date or simply part with this delivery service. However, it is an absolute cheek to make the customer feel guilty because he ordered via Lieferando (WHAT IS DISPLAYED DIRECTLY ONLINE). Telling me that out of kindness they won't charge anymore and will cancel the order next time because they don't work for Lieferando ;) I also had to listen to the waiters gossiping about other waiters and the atmosphere was absolutely terrible. By the way, a customer was eating with his ill-behaved dog, who was constantly jumping at everything and everyone. Apparently the dishes we ordered are no longer on the menu...Gyros and Gyros Metaxa...I checked the menu online and bullshit. The food itself was terrible, but the gyros were delicious. The pita wasn't cooked through, unfortunately it was raw. Fries were 1€ from Kaufland and I wouldn't even have given the salad to my dog. But of course now we want more money for everything. I was passing through and will probably never be a customer again...thank God! Ps: Be sure to change your waiters!

Unfortunately there are no meze on the summer menu, although they actually fit perfectly in the summer. That was the only reason we were there specifically, so it was a disappointing visit.

Pure chaos!!! Despite a reservation, we had to wait almost an hour until the order could be placed. Then waited another hour for the food - didn't get any salads, wrong starter... Staff was completely overwhelmed. We won't be visiting Ellikon again for the time being and certainly won't be recommending it to friends. It's a shame that a Saturday evening was so ruined.

After that the waiting continued, and around 7:30 p.m. we were finally able to order drinks and food. Our food was served at 8:30 p.m. The salad was missing and was not refilled. A second drink that was ordered was not brought, but it was on the bill. Some guests got ouzo, some didn't. We were among the latter. The boss explained that he was stressed and that there was a lot going on. Yes, that may be all, but that's not how you should treat guests. Card payment was also not possible. The food was at least delicious, hence the two stars. It's a shame, it could have been such a lovely evening...

Had dinner with two people last night. The leg of lamb and the chicken skewer were very tasty and cooked to perfection. The side dishes were plentiful. We didn't get everything done. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Even though it was our first time there, we were greeted with a handshake and said goodbye. Always my pleasure.

A really great restaurant and the food is simply great. Today I ordered a schnitzel that was delicious. For Mother's Day all women get a rose 🌹 just a nice gesture.
