Super Service, tolles Essen, angemessener Preis. Leider eine katastrophale Parkplatzsituation. Ich war echt gestresst und habe mich mit jemand anderen leider angelegt, um überhaupt irgendwo einen Parkplatz zu ergattern. Kann der Wirt aber wenig dazu.

Wir haben knapp 2 Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet. Hatten auf 19:30 Uhr reserviert, bekommen aber auch erst um 20 Uhr einen freien Platz zugewiesen.

Wir waren zu Zwei im Elia und es war wirklich ein schöner Abend. Essen: Die Bilder sprechen glaube ich schon Bände. Die Bilder zeigen die Vorspeisenplatte (für 2 Personen) sowie ein Surf und Turf. Beides wirklich exzellent! Service: Die haben Ihren Laden im Griff. Perfekter Service von A-Z und das obwohl nicht nur eine Kellnerin involviert war, sondern mehrere. Die Scheibe über einen Knopf im Ohr zu kommunizieren. Ambiente: Wir waren bei schönen Wetter hinten im Garten. Sehr schön.

Essen Mega, Service Mega, Ambiente Mega😁 wenn ich etwas anmerken darf, euer Zaziki ist auch Mega, leider nur zu wenig. Wie sagt der Henze immer man soll nachfragen ob es mehr Soße gibt 😅 ja und dann zahle ich 2 Euro mehr für ein Esslöffel Zaziki. Das solltet ihr überdenken. Wenn jemand mehr wie einmal nachfragt, o.k. Aber bei einmal 🤗 Trotzdem gibt's von mir volle Punktzahl🥰

Ostersonntag 5.4.2026, 22Uhr. Das Restaurant ist zu einem Drittel besetzt. Wir sind Gäste des Hotels nebenan und möchten als Familie noch etwas trinken und einen netten Abend haben. Wir spielen Top10, ein kollaboratives Spiel. Nach kurzer Zeit kommt ein Kellner und verbietet uns das Spielen … ohne jede Begründung. Bzw. nur „hat der Chef“ gesagt. Auf den Wunsch, den Chef zu sprechen, hieß es, er sei in einem „Termin“ und kommt nach einer halben Stunde. Natürlich kam er nicht … Deswegen auf diesem Weg der Feedback an Sie, dass wir leider so ein Verhalten und so einen Service selten erlebt haben. Sehr enttäuschend.

Das Preis und Leistung passen leider nicht mehr zusammen. Die Vorspeisenplatte für 2 Personen für 33€ ist überwiegend aus der Dose. Bei der Meeresfrüchtesalat liegt der Schwerpunkt auf ein Salat die Meeresfrüchte musste ich suchen. Bei der Hauptspeise muss man das Zaziki suchen

Immer wieder gerne, es passt einfach alles hier. Kellner sind immer schnell und freundlich und der Chef ist der beste. Das Essen ist unschlagbar.

Wir waren in der Vorweihnachtszeit spontan im Restaurant, nachdem wir Lust auf griechisches Essen wie Gyros und Souvlaki hatten. Nach einem kurzen Anruf konnten wir problemlos einen Tisch reservieren. Während unseres Besuchs fanden im Restaurant auch mehrere Weihnachtsfeiern statt, wodurch viele Gäste anwesend waren. Das Restaurant befindet sich im Boutique-Hotel Bayerischer Hof. Der Gastraum wirkt modern gestaltet und zugleich gemütlich. Durch die hohe Auslastung war der Geräuschpegel während unseres Aufenthalts relativ hoch, auch die Hintergrundmusik war deutlich hörbar, sodass Gespräche am Tisch teilweise erschwert waren. Der Service trat freundlich auf, die Aufmerksamkeit im laufenden Service variierte im Verlauf des Abends. Bestellt wurden unter anderem Gyros, Souvlaki (auf der Karte als "Suflaki" bezeichnet) und Tzatziki. Das Gyros wurde ohne knusprige Röstung serviert, das Souvlaki hatte eine festere Fleischstruktur. Das Tzatziki fiel geschmacklich besonders auf. Nachdem wir unsere Eindrücke zum Essen angesprochen hatten, kam der Inhaber an den Tisch und brachte als kleine Aufmerksamkeit eine Portion Galaktoboureko, ein griechisches Dessert. Nach dem Restaurantbesuch stellten wir fest, dass die Kleidung leider deutlich Essensgeruch angenommen hatte.

Leider ist es ein bisschen schlechter geworden. Der Service war leider nicht sehr freundlich, eher von oben herab. Die Vorspeise und der Hauptgang kamen zur selben Zeit was unser Essen kalt werden ließ. Das Essen war auch schon mal deutlich besser. Es war sehr ölig und hat uns leider nicht geschmeckt. Preis-Leistung leider nicht gut. Wie gesagt wir waren im Sommer schon mal da und da war es deutlich besser. Das Ambiente ist top und die Portionen der Hauptgänge ausreichend.

Wir waren gestern am Valentinstag zu viert dort essen. (Tisch reserviert auf 18.30 Uhr) Das Restaurant war mit roten und goldenen Herzballons ❤️ dekoriert, war hübsch. Das Essen war okay aber der Service eine Katastrophe, zwei der Vorspeisen wurden ganz am Ende noch gebracht. Die absolute Krönung war, kurz vor halb 9 wurde die Rechnung (233,00€) auf den Tisch geklatscht und der Kellner sagte: bitte bezahlen, der Tisch ist reserviert ‼️ sowas ist uns wirklich noch nie passiert, wir hätten evtl. gerne noch was getrunken, aber das wurde uns nicht ermöglicht. Wenn ich mit Trinkgeld 240€ bezahle, will ich nicht rausgeschmissen werden, eine Frechheit ist das.

Wir waren mit einer Mädelsgruppe bei Elia essen und hatten einen richtig schönen Abend. Der Service war erstklassig und sehr herzlich. Das Essen war mega lecker. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Griechisches Lokal im Hotel mit gemütlichen Ambiente und guter Küche. Der Sommer kann im schönen Biergarten genossen werden.

Wir waren nach einem Jahr wieder mal in Kempten. Damals waren wir begeistert vom Essen. Leider würden wir diesmal enttäuscht. Das Gyros war ich weiß nicht was. Es war trocken und fade. Es war essbar aber nichts im vergleich vor einem Jahr. Der Service war gut aber wir hatten 5 unterschiedliche Kellner. Einer hat die Bestellung aufgenommen, der nächste brachte die Getränke, wieder ein anderer das Essen, einer räumte ab und noch ein anderer ka zum kassieren. Am Nachbartisch war es immer der selbe. Alle waren freundlich aber ich fand es komisch.

Wir waren Gäste des Hotels im selben Gebäude und parkten ordnungsgemäss auf einem eindeutig markierten Hotelparkplatz. Eine Kennzeichnung als privater Parkplatz des Restaurantpächters (direkt vor dem Hotel!-Eingang) war nicht vorhanden; auch ein Hinweis durch Mitarbeitende erfolgte nicht. Am Abreisetag wurde unser Fahrzeug vom Restaurantpächter blockierend zugeparkt. Auf den freundlichen Hinweis, dass wir abreisen möchten, reagierte er arrogant und herablassend. Statt eine Lösung zu ermöglichen, forderte er uns zum Warten auf und entfernte sich ins Restaurant. Bei persönlicher Nachfrage setzte sich dieses Verhalten fort; eine zeitnahe Freigabe wurde nicht angeboten. Unabhängig von der Parkplatzfrage war insbesondere der Umgangston und das Auftreten des Restaurantpächters unangemessen und in keiner Weise gastfreundlich.

The staff were rather reserved, not very friendly, and the service could be improved. The food is good – the prices are okay. They could have used a spoonful more rice, though. I asked for herbal tea, and they only had black and fruit tea 😭 What's that all about?? Especially since it's also a hotel. Very strange. Parking is a bit tricky, but you can usually find a spot somewhere.

The food was average. The ambiance is appealing. However, it's rather cramped and very noisy when the restaurant is full. It was very busy that evening, so we felt rushed rather than well served. Overall: 3 out of 5 stars.

On November 13, 2025, we held our year-end celebration at Elia for the second year in a row, and once again we were more than thrilled. The newly renovated premises are very stylish and truly inviting. The newly created menu is fantastic, and every guest should find something to enjoy. A huge compliment to the kitchen, which not only managed to serve 22 people simultaneously but also found the time and care to cater to individual requests. Furthermore, the service deserves mention; it was not only attentive but also always found time for a bit of fun, even amidst the hectic restaurant atmosphere. Elia is a restaurant where you can enjoy a refined meal in a very stylish setting, but above all, where you are treated as a valued and respected guest. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The atmosphere was incredibly pleasant, and despite the restaurant being packed, the service was precise and fast. The food was excellent quality and tasted absolutely delicious. Restaurant right next to the hotel, incredibly good food and atmosphere. This isn't your typical Greek restaurant, this is the real Greek restaurant.

We were invited to a birthday party. The food itself was okay, however, my husband's (and other guests') appetizer arrived shortly after the main course. The waiter also couldn't remember which of the two and a half tables had ordered what. This made it very chaotic and noisy in the adjoining room. All in all, a restaurant that definitely has potential.

We were there on Sunday afternoon while visiting Kempten. A visit to Elia is a must for us when we're in Kempten. The atmosphere is cozy, and there's plenty of seating (two rooms plus a beer garden in the summer). The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. The food is always excellent, consistently high quality. For example, we had the grilled baby calamari, which was delicious. We'll be back next time we're in Kempten. Thanks to the entire Elia team. Keep up the good work.

During our stay at the Bayrischer Hof, we ordered takeout twice. Both times, the food was truly amazing! Fresh, absolutely delicious, and the portions were truly generous. I haven't experienced such good service (we even borrowed cutlery) in a long time! Incredibly friendly, accommodating, and not at all pushy! If we're ever in Kempten again, we'll definitely be back at Elia ❤️

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere may be cozy, and the people seem to be genuinely Greek-speaking, but the food is far from authentically Greek. Gyros in Metaxa sauce and topped with cheese, really? We had meze and a souvlaki, the latter of which was edible... The feta cream was bland and flavorless, the melitzanosalata was perhaps sitting next to an eggplant, and the beetroot cheese was okay, but boring. What's really bad, though, is that the allergens and additives are unreliable (since when does eggplant cream contain milk?). If you really want Greek food, you'll probably have to go elsewhere. If you want meat, you'll be well served here...

Incredibly delicious food. Excellent value for money! The decor and background music are unusual for a Greek restaurant. But that's not why you're there in the first place. The staff was polite and attentive. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

I visit Elia regularly and am completely satisfied every time. The service is always very friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome. The food is impressive due to its very high quality – I particularly recommend the 61st gyro with calamari (lunch menu 117), which is excellently prepared. It's a wonderful place to linger, both in the comfortably furnished interior and in the beautiful beer garden when the weather is nice. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend Elia to anyone who enjoys excellent Greek cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere.

Very good food, with friendly waiters and a really nice atmosphere. There's really nothing to criticize. I had a filet platter once and a fish platter yesterday. It tasted very good, but unfortunately, my €26 meal only came with spinach as a side dish, and it simply didn't have enough carbohydrates to fill you up. I think that at prices like that, you could just add a small bread basket, and then customers would go home 100% full and happy. Friends of mine ordered pita, but without it, I would have still been hungry for €30 with a drink. Still, a decent restaurant, but perhaps there's still something that could be improved.

An insider tip in Kempten! From the outside, you'd never guess that this is a very good Greek restaurant with a beautiful beer garden. A little oasis in the middle of town. The food was consistently very good – fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared, served by extremely friendly, attentive staff. The price is absolutely reasonable for the quality you get. Only the parking situation is a bit tricky, as parking spaces are unfortunately scarce. Nevertheless, it's definitely worth a visit: definitely recommend it!

We were really impressed on previous visits – the food was excellent back then! Unfortunately, our last visit was completely different, and we left very disappointed. For almost €30, we got a meal that absolutely didn't justify the price: just three small pieces of meat, fries that were obviously fried in the same oil as fish, and they weren't particularly tasty, as they tasted like fish. The portion seemed uninspired – a few fries on the plate, the rest simply thrown in a small bowl. Overall, the value for money was poor, and the quality has deteriorated significantly compared to the early days. Unfortunately, this was our last visit – a real shame, but never again.

Gyros are good, they may not be very good at shrimp, but definitely try the liver.

We reserved the separate room for our wedding reception over half a year ago. A week before, I checked again to see if we could decorate the room beforehand, bring the cake there beforehand, etc. – everything was fine. On the day of the wedding, we learned that the room had been given to another party because there were five more people, and that would generate more profit. We weren't informed beforehand; we found out when we arrived! We sat outside in the rain!! That's not what you want to hear on your wedding day. An absolute no-go and not recommended to anyone. The food is good, but the service is completely awful and unfortunately, it doesn't make it any better...

A real insider tip in the Bayerischer Hof in Kempten! It's barely noticeable from the outside – you wouldn't suspect that such a good Greek restaurant is hidden in this building. And the beautiful, hidden beer garden isn't visible at all from the street – yet it truly is a little oasis in the middle of the city. The food was consistently very good – from the appetizers to the main courses and dessert. Everything was fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared. The service was friendly, attentive, and competent. The price is absolutely reasonable for the quality you get. The only downside: Parking is difficult, and unfortunately, parking spaces are very limited. Nevertheless, it's definitely worth a visit. My recommendation was a complete success – I'd be happy to come back. I definitely recommend it!

A very delicious Greek restaurant with a good vegetarian selection and a cozy atmosphere. We started with a mixed appetizer platter. Many of the mezze were vegetarian, including tzatziki, eggplant dip, spicy cheese dip, lentil salad, giant beans, and more. Some of them were even vegan. For main courses, there were three vegetarian dishes to choose from; I had the briam with feta. All the dishes were delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. The atmosphere of the restaurant is both modern and rustic; you feel at home. The service is also excellent, attentive, and friendly. I also liked the selection of drinks. They also offer free ouzo to start and finish the meal. Overall, I thought the experience at Restaurant Elia was great and I highly recommend it.

We've been stopping at the Bayrischer Hof for several years now. The Elia restaurant, which has been in operation for three years, is absolutely worth a visit. Today we had the surf & turf, and I have to say it was the best interpretation of surf & turf I've ever eaten. Perfect service and friendliness rounded off the evening. ** Two hours of vacation - right in Kempten! ** As soon as you walk in, you're greeted in Greek – a definite plus for me: almost the entire staff speaks Greek! You sit down and immediately feel like you're on vacation in the large outdoor dining area! You're greeted with a Greek specialty from the house – ouzo! Service is fast, the food is excellent. The appetizers are especially amazing! But basically everything – no matter what you choose – is excellent! All in all, we love coming here and spending a two-hour vacation in "little Bavarian Greece"!

Going to Dimi has now become our weekly family ritual. Despite the full tables, you always get a seat quickly, the service is courteous and highly professional, and the food is first-class. For me and the family, we can't imagine life without it.

Perhaps the best Greek restaurant in the area. Even though the garden was full, everything went smoothly. The food was great, and the service, even though it was full, was attentive, cheerful, and quick. I'd be happy to go back and highly recommend it! And to everyone... don't complain if it takes a little longer when the garden is full... they're just great people!

The beer garden is very idyllic, and the service staff are very friendly. The food was average and overpriced. The appetizer was disappointing, lacking in variety and not very flavorful.

I had dinner at this Greek hotel with my colleagues while my stay at Kempten and this is indeed one of the nicest one there. The location is super adjacent to a river and near to the city centre and by the main road. They have a beer harden where one can see so many colourful trees in the spring and enjoy their drinks with snacks with their loved ones. The ambience to me was very pleasing. We had snacks on the garden and dinner inside their restaurant. We ordered a famous sea food platter where there was variety of fishes, lobsters and veg snacks as well. I have also ordered dorada fish and the famous Greek zucchini balls which were both quite delicious. Only thing is they don’t have much variety in the non alcoholic drinks range. The inside ambience of the restaurant was also cosy and quite neat and clean. The service was prompt and behaviour of the staff members was quite warm.

Pleasant informal atmosphere with Greek character

If you want a quick breakfast, this is the place for you. Menus are covered in grease, the welcoming ouzo is slammed onto the table so that it spills over, crumbs and stains on the chairs, you barely have time to read the cat before you're pressured into ordering. Time is money in its purest form. They even cleared parts of our plates away, even though someone was still eating. The staff are either untrained or simply arrogant. The prices are exorbitant for Kempten and suspiciously big city. Overall, the way guests are treated here is a disgrace. At least the food is good, but nothing more.

It's been a long time since I've eaten such delicious Greek food without so many fries. I thought it was excellent. Most restaurants load up your plate with fries, so that's a 5 for the variety of dishes and side dishes (rice with vegetables, etc.). It's different from the others, which makes it enjoyable.

We ate here for Mother's Day. I made a reservation in advance. We got a seat quickly. The surroundings are fantastic, with a great atmosphere. Since it was my first time here, I couldn't find the parking lot at first. I parked in the hotel's parking spaces. This was fine. There's no clear signage here. We had a starter and main course. The wait for the starter was fine. I thought the wait for the main course was too long. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so I didn't understand the long waits. When we finally got the food, it was only lukewarm. The fries weren't cooked through, but the liver was piping hot. We then had to wait even longer before we could pay. So I can understand why you can spend an average of two hours here. The weather was nice, though, and we were able to relax. If you want a quick bite to eat, you should go somewhere else.
