Waiters were very nice and my dogs were more likely to have something to drink than I was. Food was very good, although not exactly cheap. But the quality decides.

For several decades, Ela in Kempen's old town has been THE address for good Turkish cuisine. The dishes were tasty on my last visit, but could have been spicier for my taste. My portion could have been a little more generous, there was still a lot of plate left - I would have expected a little more for the price. The female waitress seemed quite listless, almost annoyed. But the two men were great. At the end there was tea on the house 🫖

Ate here at lunchtime on a weekday. The food was excellent in both quantity and quality, and the price was absolutely reasonable. Super friendly staff. On a big bike tour, I was offered fresh water to take with me on the way. Typical Turkish hospitality. The right place for my rest. Thank you Restaurant Ela.

I had lunch at this place probably 4 or 5 times and neither quality of the food or service lacks anything. The staff is friendly and kind. The food ist fantastic and fairly priced. I will be back. Try a freshly made Ayran and the Adana Kebab. Absultely unbeatable!

In order to evaluate a service, the restaurant would also have to have provided a service. We were ignored for 2 1/2 and the two times staff came to our place, our order was even forgotten. We even had to ask for the bill several times!! NO, Ela is definitely not worth a second visit!!!

Ate here a few years ago and went there again at the end of last year. It's really slowed down a lot. The service was very bad and unfriendly. The waitresses seemed annoyed. The food was too salty, not just on my plate. The side salad, on the other hand, is not seasoned and offers nothing. Iceberg lettuce!!!! Overall far too expensive for what you get. I won't be coming back and should have listened to numerous opinions from my circle of friends. It was very busy.

We had the starter plate for 2 people. Then 2 more dishes. Pasta casserole with salmon and eggplant casserole with minced meat. Everything was great, plentiful and very tasty. The dry red wine was awesome. We were very satisfied and will come back.

After a long time, we really wanted to come back to eat here because we have fond memories of it. I don't know if we were just unlucky or if the quality was simply poor. Nevertheless, it is important to me to express my criticism here. I called ahead and asked if vegan food was possible and was assured that I would get my money's worth. When we arrived the waiter wasn't exactly welcoming. When we ordered our food and I ordered mine vegan, which we had waited for ages, I got the vegetarian version. When I mentioned this, the waiter rolled his eyes. After 5 minutes something came that was simply served carelessly. I usually like to take photos of my food, but I was just hungry and wanted to fill up. Because the starter was not vegan and the vegan bread was also burnt. The food was only warmed up and not freshly made, neither of us wanted any onions in it, but unfortunately that wasn't possible. When the boss saw how unhappy we were, he said we would get the rice on the house. However, it was later listed on the invoice and we addressed that too. It slowly became apparent to me that I just wanted to leave and the boss tried to make it up to me with some tea. I think that if you go out to eat these days, which is really no longer inexpensive, I at least expect quality and good service. I was really very disappointed and will not visit this restaurant again.

Nice looking restaurant (much bigger inside than it looks on the outside) with great tasty Turkish food. It was really delicious! Maybe we had a small misunderstanding about what the waiter meant when he asked whether we wanted our appetizers together and our main courses together: we got everything all at once, which was not our intention but wasn't a problem.

First of all: 5 stars for the food are justified. It was really good. We were there for lunch with a small group. When we arrived, the table and benches were still a bit dirty. The service wasn't rude, but not very friendly either. The main waiter seemed overwhelmed by the somewhat full restaurant and his two other waiters didn't help him often. We wanted to try something new and saw this Turkish restaurant in Kempen. Very good food in a great atmosphere. The covered garden is bright and has a very pleasant temperature even in winter. There are daily specials, but we ordered à la carte. Both dishes were great and the quantity was also okay.

Das Restaurant Ela zeigt, dass man für 😋 Essen nicht übermäßig viel Geld bezahlen muss. Fazit: Preis/Leistung stimmt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir kommen wieder!

Wie sind mit einer Gruppe von 18 Leuten dort gewesen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, auch der Hund war willkommen und hat als erster etwas zu trinken bekommen. Essen war sehr lecker, Preise sind absolut moderat. Leider war es nur sehr sehr laut, was der Größe des Raumes geschuldet ist und man musste schon sehr sehr laut sprechen, um sich unterhalten zu können. Wenn es um türkisches Essen geht, ist das familienbetriebene Ela unser Lieblingsrestaurant in der Nähe. Das Essen ist unheimlich lecker und das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt vollkommen. Unser persönlicher Favorit (gerade im Sommer): die Vorspeisenplatte für zwei Personen, alleine durch die vielen Dips bzw. Aufstriche. Gerade der Hummus und der Rote-Bete-Dip sind für mich bisher ungeschlagen und in Kombination mit dem selbstgebackenen Pide-Brot ein Traum. Aber auch die warmen Gerichte sind sehr zu empfehlen (z.B. die verschiedenen Fleischspieße). Grundsätzlich wird immer eine separate Tageskarte angeboten. Hier loht es sich auch immer einmal zuzuhören (Dorade, Leber, gefüllte Paprika, usw.). Der Service ist im Schnitt sehr freundlich, durch einen regelmäßigen Wechsel hatten wir hier jedoch auch schon Ausnahmen. Das aber sehr selten und man hat sich nie unwohl gefühlt. Das Ela liegt bei uns in allen Belangen einfach ganz weit vorne, was Restaurants mit authentischer Küche angeht.

Ganz nettes Restaurant, war jetzt zum zweiten Mal hier - und nach jedem Mal ist mir schlecht…

Türkische Küche vom feinsten. Wir waren noch nie in einem Türkischen Restaurant essen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Speisekarte hatte tolle Gerichte außerdem noch wechselnde Tagesgerichte. Der Vorspeisenteller war sehr lecker, der Grillteller war reichlich und das Tagesgericht Fenchel mit Kalbsgeschnetzeltes überbacken mit Käse ist sehr zu empfehlen . Wir saßen bei schönem Wetter draußen, der Service war aufmerksam, trotzdem es drinnen voll war . Danke an die gute Küche und an den guten Service.

Sehr leckeres Essen, nette zuvorkommende Bedienung und einen netten Chef. Hier haben alle einen super Job gemacht, ( auch die Küche) Wir kommen gerne wieder🤗

Wir kommen immer wieder gern. Das Essen ist super lecker und der Service freundlich und professionell. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Es gibt neben der abwechslungsreichen Speisekarte immer wieder Tagesgerichte, die wir gern probieren.

Wir waren mit (teils vegetarisch ausgerichteter) Familie im Ela - und sehr zufrieden. Echt geschmacksintensive Küche mit guter auch vegetarischer Auswahl, super netter Service - alles zu sehr kommoden Preisen. Ein Platz für unkompliziertes und gutes Speisen, danke.

Haben dieses Restaurant zum 1. mal besucht , zum Mittagessen an einem Sonntag . Wir hatten keinen Tisch reserviert , wurden aber trotzdem freundlich empfangen . Das Ambiente gefiel uns sofort . Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Speisen sehr köstlich . Alles kam recht schnell , und Preis/Leistung war voll in Ordnung !! Wir werden bald wieder einkehren ! 👍

Nirgendwo in Kempen und Umgebung ist das Personal so freundlich und auch kinderfreundlich wie im Ela. Die sind auf Zack, bedienen schnell und haben immer im Blick was der Gast braucht und dass alles OK ist. Die Einrichtung ist nicht mein Geschmack, aber gut gemacht und das Essen ist lecker. Weiter so!
