Upon entering the restaurant, I received an exceptionally warm welcome, and the door was even held open for me. This heartfelt reception immediately made me feel truly welcome. The interior is tastefully decorated. The service is exceptionally friendly, very attentive, and pleasantly professional—neither inattentive nor intrusive. It's clear that great emphasis is placed on service here. The mixed grill was delicious overall. One minor drawback: the lamb chop was unfortunately dry. However, since all the other meats were perfectly cooked and juicy, this point hardly detracts from the overall experience. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. I will gladly return.

A very nice atmosphere with a REAL, huge ficus tree in the conservatory. However, everyone has a bad day now and then... and ours happened to be the day of our Christmas party. The orders could have been taken more smoothly, and the food could have been warmer. It would be nice if there was also a main course WITHOUT tomato sauce, but with some vegetables.

We had booked a table for a family celebration with 16 adults and 3 children. There was a huge variety of food, from vegetarian options to various fish and meat choices. The appetizers were, as always, a highlight, not only visually but also deliciously tasty. I don't know of any other place that serves its customers better than Ela's. We'll definitely be back.

Small but excellent menu; daily specials were mentioned when we ordered drinks. The quality and size of the individual portions were very good, the food tasted fantastic, and it was very filling. Very attentive waiters who answered our questions with recommendations and explanations about Turkish cuisine. This was our first time here, but certainly not our last. Turkish restaurant. Unfortunately, they don't serve kebabs. Not even meat from the rotisserie. I ordered a lahmacun and had to specifically request that it be rolled up with salad and everything, otherwise I would have received the lahmacun and the side dishes separately. The atmosphere was unfortunately rather uncomfortable and cold. The portions were unfortunately very small. You won't get full without an appetizer beforehand.

This was our first time there. We chose this restaurant based on its reviews. Unfortunately, it didn't appeal to us. Basically, the dishes are all similar and not very varied. Likewise, the food was rather bland and not well-seasoned. Nevertheless, the service was extremely friendly! The atmosphere of the restaurant was rather austere, not exactly conducive to a comfortable stay. There's definitely room for improvement here. Unfortunately, we also found the dishes too expensive for what was served. It's a shame there are so few Turkish restaurants in the area.

Turkish restaurant, family business, friendly atmosphere, fresh food, a varied menu, suitable for vegetarians, additionally a selection of daily specials, with a good price-performance ratio, what more could you want? We felt very comfortable, there are deductions because of the waiting times when ordering and paying.

Very good authentic Turkish restaurant

A great restaurant, also for vegans! During my vacation in Kempen I looked for a restaurant with vegan food and then ate at Ela every day. There was a large selection of vegan starters, such as hummus, beans, salads each with vegan bread. As a main course they were able to offer me something new every day, more than what was on the menu. Delicious stuffed sweet potatoes, grilled zucchini and eggplant, scalloped cauliflower, Turkish-style noodles, various pide and more. Plus tea on the house. The atmosphere and the employees are also simply great.

Very tasty food at a reasonable price

We were there with several people. Apparently the owner has changed, because it is no longer a restaurant, but rather a mediocre to bad snack bar. This is not just my personal opinion, but that of the entire group. Salt and pepper are thrown onto the table in little bags and the drinks glasses are dirty. And unfortunately the food is not of good quality. It was “okay” but more like a snack bar, and they are usually better. Price performance is not right here at all. Ready-made goods and burnt cheap bread. Salads soaked in vinegar and really not nicely presented all in all. Simply careless and only interested in quick processing and payment. The request for an entertainment receipt was not followed up on, but was simply handwritten on a white pad. The staff was very unprofessional and would rather look at their cell phones than take care of the guests.

It's a shame that the quality has deteriorated so much. Has there been a change here? My family and I cannot understand the extremely good reviews. We are really very disappointed.

If we want good proper served turkish food, we will not come back here. So many other places who does much better. And the athmosphere was not laid back "but fancy". Cold too unfortunately. I was recently traveling in Kempen with my husband and, after we had already eaten, we strolled through the city and found the beautiful restaurant. The owner was sitting outside with another person and jumped up and invited us in, he showed us around: the restaurant is huge, which you wouldn't think from the outside. The ambience was great and it was well attended. The food we saw looked very appealing and tasty. The owner offered us a cup of tea because we had just come from dinner and as much as we would have liked to taste the delicious food, we unfortunately couldn't taste it. He didn't let us pay for the tea, not even as a small tip for the coffee fund. A really very hospitable and charming person! Thanks for the great experience, we'll be back!
