Ich war schon oft in Spanien und weiß, wie Tapas schmecken sollten. Die hier servierten sind ein Witz und verdienen den Namen Tapas nicht. Sardellen, Sardinen, sogar Schinkenkroketten werden auf einem riesigen Stück Brot serviert. Das wirkt wie ein Trick, um die winzigen Portionen zu kaschieren. Die Auswahl beschränkt sich ohnehin auf einfache Gerichte. Ein totaler Mangel an Gastronomie und Leidenschaft für gutes Essen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Bitte meiden Sie die Tapas, sie sind wirklich nicht gut.

Dieser Ort ist fantastisch! Das Essen ist erstklassig, und auch das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. 10/10! Außerdem sieht man Morcilla hier in der Stadt selten auf Tapas-Karten. Ich kann sie jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

Ehrlich gesagt, keine gute Bar/Tapas-Lokal. Der Wein war für ein spanisches Lokal eher durchschnittlich, die Auswahl sehr begrenzt; die Flaschen kann man auch bei Rewe kaufen. Es ist auch kein richtiges Restaurant. Die Gambas al ajillo waren lauwarm… es tat mir im Herzen weh, als ich sah, dass sie mit nur einem Stück Brot serviert wurden – das war wirklich kein Geschmackserlebnis. Leider war auch die Chorizo ​​nicht gut, da sie ebenfalls warm war. Zum Schluss haben die 200 g Bravas, gefolgt von einem korkfreien Wein, unser Erlebnis etwas erträglicher gemacht, nicht leichter. :D Trotzdem vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft! Gracias.

Schlecht. Sehr schlecht! El Pepe ist kein Tapas Bar. Tapas sind keiner Aufschnitt mit Brot und billige Rotwein. Es ist einfach eine nette Kneipe um teuere Abend brot zu essen. (komme aus Barcelona, Spanien.)

Von den Tapas Läden, die ich in Berlin probiert habe, steht El Pepe auf jeden Fall ganz unten auf der Liste. Es ist alles nicht schlecht, aber leider auch nicht wirklich gut. Die Qualität der Zutaten war mittelmäßig, weshalb die meisten Sachen etwas fad geschmeckt haben. Teilweise wurden Bestellungen vergessen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und zumindest die Getränke kamen immer zuverlässig und schnell.

Das Essen war echt lecker, da gibt's nichts zu meckern. Beim Service war's leider zweigeteilt. Schon bei der Begrüßung war der Kellner unfreundlich, obwohl ich vorher reserviert hatte. Später hat er dann auch die Teller regelrecht auf den Tisch geknallt. Die andere Kellnerin dagegen war total nett und sympathisch.

Tolles Essen mit wechselnden Specials, sehr nette Bedienung und gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Gemütliche Tapasbar in Mitte. Die Atmosphäre ist genauso gut wie das Essen und der Service. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind kompetent, freundlich, schnell und sauber. Die Preise sind angesichts der Qualität der Produkte ebenfalls hervorragend, da das Essen zwar richtig simpel, aber sehr lecker ist. El Pepe ist deal für einen formellen oder informellen Aperitif, bei dem man ein gutes spanisches Bier oder meinen geliebten roten Vermouth mit Eis genießen will :) :) :) Ich komme oft hierher, wenn ich mich entspannen möchte und auf eine familiäre und freundliche Atmosphäre Lust habe... Sehr empfehlenswert!

This is the first time I've had dinner at a Spanish restaurant outside of Spain that was actually good. Javi is super nice, and the food is authentic and indistinguishable from any tapas restaurant in Spain. Highly recommended.

The food was absolutely delicious. A bit on the expensive side, but it matches the quality. A draft beer would have been nice. Estrella from the bottle was also fine, though. The service was a bit subdued, but OK. I was surprised it was so quiet. Highly recommended.

It was very good, and we even ordered some of the dishes again! We discovered this authentic, attractively designed restaurant after a gallery visit and have enjoyed going there ever since.

What a joy to visit this place! The tapas are exquisite, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it's ideal for enjoying with friends or as a couple. I went on a Friday and the place was packed! The service was top-notch, the tapas were great, and the flavor was truly Spanish. It was a bar-style tavern. We ordered patatas bravas, garlic shrimp, ribs with mashed potatoes, Catalan bread, bread with tomato and chorizo, and by far the best tapas, and they were plentiful. Enjoy cider, drinks, wine, beer, whatever you want, and don't be afraid to go. A gem: the vermouth! Thank you for the love and dedication you put into this place. We'll be back! Go and try everything.

The food is very good, especially if you miss the flavors of Spain while in Berlin. The dishes are quite authentic, and the best thing is that they have both regular and non-alcoholic Estrella Galicia. I always go there when I'm craving something from Spain. My favorites are the bravioli and the croquettes. The tortilla isn't my favorite, although it's a matter of taste: I like it slightly runny, and this one was more well-done. The prices are reasonable considering we're outside of Spain. Highly recommended: Horchata liqueur.

I had dinner at El Pepe and the truth is that I loved it. The place has a very pleasant atmosphere, and excellent decoration that makes you feel like you are in Spain. Ideal to go with friends or as a couple. I tried several tapas and they were all delicious, especially the patatas bravas and the tortilla. You can tell that they use quality ingredients and that they cook it with love. They also have good wines to accompany them. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they made us feel super comfortable from the beginning. Without a doubt, a place I will return to when I feel like good Spanish food in Berlin. Excellent mention to the owner (Javi) he always offers 10 treatment.

El Pepe is one of the few Spanish restaurants in Berlin that is worth it. Javi has created a very authentic and welcoming environment and always makes you feel at home. Well, it goes without saying that the food is very delicious and the price is very good for Berlin.

Apparently, the only non-turkish restaurant in the neighborhood. Food was so good and ambience was conducive to chatting and catching up with friends that I forgot to document them. Will definitely come back. 1 point less for employees not knowing whose bust it is above the fridge.

Anyone who knows anything about tapas or Spanish cuisine cannot say that these patatas bravas are good. First of all, the brava sauce and aioli usually do not come separately; it's not common. It’s no terrible but is not really the usual. I've seen it a couple of times, but it's not the norm. The potatoes themselves were good, but the pieces were huge which doesn’t make sense The worst part was the brava sauce; it's clear that it wasn't made here. It's a packaged sauce with a texture as plastic-like as its flavor. One of the worst things I've ever eaten. How can you not make your own bravas salsa??!! This is awful I ordered some boquerones en vinagre (pickled anchovies) and got two fillets on a piece of bread. The menu doesn't mention that they come on bread. I thought I was going to get a plate with some boquerones as usual… but nope The waiters were super nice and the restaurant itself is pretty but the food.. I mean if you cannot make the most basic tapa as patatas bravas good, what’s for the rest? That sauce was disgusting

The sangria was actually not good, certainly from the supermarket, it is almost impossible to make a sangria bad as it is simply a mix of different alcohols. I didn't eat there but the food from the neighbors didn't look that authentic.

I've lived nearby for years and have always wanted to go to El Pepe. It's a shame I waited so long. Now I'll go every month! The food is great and the staff is really nice. Gladly again!

I loved the site. The tapas are very very good. We tried squid, octopus, croquettes, salad, blood sausage, patatas bravas, tortilla and something else. Everything really delicious and homemade. Special mention for the salad, squid and croquettes. The decoration is great. Full of details of the most recent folklore. Very cozy and also fun. The attention of all the staff is very friendly and super efficient. Despite there being quite a few, things left the kitchen quickly. The price was also good and we also won the game... there's little more you could ask for :)

In 2018 we went to the restaurant for the first time on our visit to Berlin and my blind husband and I received loving advice. In 2019 it was another lovely evening. Last night we were happy that we found everything the way it was the first time. We'd love to come back.

Atmosphere great, service was okay, would like for the waiters to be more passionate and to have more knowledge about the food and the combinations what would work well. Food what theybserved was great, though tiny servings. In my opinion, when you're a tapas bar, you should have more than 8 tapas available. But can't complain about the quality!

Tapas very basic, no creativity and variety whatsoever. Everything came on big chuncks of bland bread. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, each was forgotten to be served and we had to remind the waiters. That's where you realise these people have no experience in gastronomy.
