El Paso in Weeze

The food was okay...but it felt like a chip shop. The salad buffet was dried out and dirty. They should renovate...warm terracotta tones for the ambiance.

No card payments accepted. The salad bar leaves much to be desired, just like the food. Poorly prepared, frozen patties, no tzatziki or anything similar. When I asked, I was served tzatziki from a discount store. The meat was completely dry. The price/performance ratio was completely out of whack. I've never eaten so badly.

A warm atmosphere, friendly service, and a good selection of delicious food. I always enjoy coming here with friends and family. And the prices are reasonable – simply fantastic.

Everything was simply good. Not too expensive and very tasty, so it deserves the highest rating.

We came across this restaurant by chance, but we were all happy to have found it. The food is freshly cooked, and I can only say: Awesome! Great food! Excellent service. If we're in the area again, we'll go back.

I have to say, it was a nightmare. I've never eaten so badly. A definite no to this restaurant. I don't understand the 4.3 stars. Sorry, I eat out a lot, and money isn't an issue for me. The appetizer was Camembert with pineapple and salt 🤣. Seriously, Camembert is usually a delicious thing, but this wasn't Camembert at all. It was just open cheese, totally disgusting and 100% inedible. The main course, listed on the menu, was turkey steak with tomato and mozzarella. I'm laughing just writing this. So, a turkey steak arrived with tomato, mozzarella, and salad on top – no sign of being baked! 🤣 The tomato was cold, the mozzarella was cold, and the meat was cold too. 😇 My partner had a beef steak with pepper sauce and a potato. The steak was medium, but unfortunately, it had bled out completely. No meat juice, nothing! 🤮 The sauce was store-bought and seasoned with green peppercorns, so it was neither here nor there. Then there was the potato! 🤣 It's really no joke. A potato that you've cooked beforehand and then put on the grill for a minute to get grill marks? Absolutely not! Sorry. And the quark was just plain yogurt with parsley. Simply outrageous, especially for €79.50. On the other hand, the service was okay; the waiter was very friendly and always noticed when the beer glass was empty. Cleanliness is something you need to work on, including the outdoor area. Now, regarding payment: the price is one thing, but no card payment is possible 🤣 And this is a steakhouse! They should consider whether they could at least save some money there. Finally, a suggestion: I myself love to eat and I don't usually review anything, but for things like this, I feel compelled to, unless it's exceptionally good, then I'll definitely leave a review. I sincerely hope you take this review to heart and reconsider your working methods because your restaurant has real potential. Until then, d.w.

Had a great time here on Thursday evening. It was nice and quiet. Not too expensive. Friendly welcome and good food.

Kindly received. The mixed grill is not recommended. The steak was full of nerves. We were also not asked how it should be baked. This is also not required for a regular steak. The service is friendly, but you still come for a decent meal. The salad bar is fine. You cannot pay by card. This is difficult if you eat with a group. Everything from Easter was still on the windowsill. Cappuccino not available. The wait staff was smoking in the building. You smelled that inside. Not recommended.

When the "El Paso" in Weeze was still called "Kupferpfanne," we were regulars there every Valentine's Day (and throughout the year) and were always very satisfied. So we wanted to continue our Valentine's Day tradition there this year. We personally reserved a table for 7 p.m. a few days in advance with the owner. We arrived at the restaurant promptly at 7 p.m., but all the tables were taken. The owner checked the reservation book, in which we were also noted. With a shrug, he told us: "I'm sorry, but all the tables are occupied!" We had already seen that... He didn't have an explanation. His suggestion: Wait at the bar with a free drink until a table opens up at some point. He couldn't answer our question as to whether a table would open up soon. It was a reasonable assumption, I said, if a table had already been served dessert. He replied that he didn't know how long the guests would stay seated, and suggested taking a walk through the town and trying again in half an hour. But we hadn't driven all the way to Weeze with a hearty appetite just to go for a stroll in the unpleasant weather... A Dutch family with two children entered the restaurant. They had made a reservation. A glance at the reservation book confirmed this. Another shrug and "sorry, all the tables are occupied." We followed the advice to take a walk, just like the Dutch guests did – right to the car and then off home. In Goch, we then visited the Balkan restaurant on the market square. All tables were occupied or reserved. At 7:45 p.m., a reservation expired due to a no-show. We were in luck! Great food, excellent value, cozy atmosphere, and super-friendly hosts! Highly recommended! We'll never have to make the trip from Goch to Weeze again to see the "El Paso," and we can only wish them the best of luck with such customer service!

Yesterday we were with 10 people and ordered different dishes. Whether steaks or schnitzel, whether shrimp or tagliatelle with strips of beef, everyone found it very tasty and was very satisfied. Good value for money and friendly hosts. Great, keep it up!

It was our first time at El Paso. The ambiance is lacking for a steakhouse. A fully loaded grill plate should definitely be heated. Cold meat just doesn't taste good. The side dishes were borderline mediocre. Bottled beer is a no-go in my opinion! Card payments are not accepted! Only a small, inconspicuous sign somewhere near the entrance indicates this. The only real effort was made in the basement! Conclusion: Never again!

We were very disappointed. First, one of the schnitzels was still raw inside. This was promptly replaced, but the schnitzel dishes were still not particularly tasty. At first, I thought it was just an individual assessment, but after discussing it with the rest of the family, my opinion was confirmed. Unfortunately, we only had one drink, as no one asked if we wanted anything else. Compared to the Kupferpfanne, the quality is unfortunately inferior. The furnishings are okay, but unfortunately, the cloakroom is within smelling distance of the kitchen, and our jackets smelled unpleasantly of kitchen exhaust when we left the restaurant.

Accidentally had dinner at this restaurant as all our other options were closed or full, and fortunate that we did. Service was exemplary, quick, attentive and with humour, and the food was delicious and copious, for a reasonable price.

The food was okay, but the fact that you can't pay by card in this day and age is incomprehensible to me (no indication of that) and it has less to do with a steakhouse.

We were looking for a place to eat before going to Weeze airport. At 2 in the afternoon most places were closed and this was one of the few that remained open. The waiter was friendly, spoke a little English, however the menu was only in German. We ordered some battered schnitzels, which although they were not bad in flavor, did not seem homemade, but rather frozen. The accompaniment was salad, which you could make yourself from a buffet-style display case, which was full of flies and small mosquitoes landing on all the ingredients, even in the sauce. The heat inside the restaurant was unbearable, as were the flies that we continually had to shoo away while we ate, so we left as soon as we could. My experience has not been good, I cannot recommend it.

We were here for the first time today after Kupferpfanne closed. We were very satisfied. The children were warmly welcomed, which I find very important for families. The children were very happy with their nuggets. We adults had a steak platter and it was delicious. We will be back. Thanks for the friendly service. 🙂

Food was okay, service was dyer waiter was sat in a room eating and drinking beer when entering and needing any service. Would suggest going elsewhere for food and maybe they’ll have a waiter actually working.

We knew the place from the previous owner. Were happy with everything. Reasonable prices. The meat was good. There were also tables outside. The salad buffet was pleasant.

Spontaneous stop that resulted in great things. Even though we arrived an hour before lunchtime, we were greeted warmly. The child was completely satisfied with his Kinderschnitzel. Wonderfully breaded, prepared with excellent craftsmanship. During the asparagus season I had to have the asparagus with Argentinian rump steak. I can only say that the asparagus and the steak were simply great, no, downright terrific. Since my wife also had the steak, I don't have to describe the quality of the third dish. I would highly recommend any steak lover to come here if they are in the area.

The name misled us. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with Texas cuisine. Steak was ok, schnitzel good, fries too limp. Bruschetta with lots of onions, that didn't work at all. Seasonal salad was rather bland , the beef strips were tough and wrap just didn't fit. Ambience cold and not very comfortable - it just seems loveless. You could make it really nice with simple things, you already put effort into setting the tables. Toilet's great!

Een heerlijke warme maaltijd in gemoedelijke sfeer met vriendelijke bediening. Met pin betalen kan niet maar natuurlijk wist hij de dichtsbijzijnde geldautomaat te vinden en konden we lekker eten. Tip: hier is dame blanche met WARME chocoladesaus!

Full house with pre-orders for Boxing Day. The menus were rewritten especially for Christmas. Even by hand! And lo and behold, the dishes were €3 more expensive as a Christmas present. We were a larger company. However, only one service for the entire restaurant. A table of three and a larger party came in after us and were served before us. The menus only came after two requests. We then saved the tip as it had already been incorporated into the Christmas prices. We were there exactly twice! The first and last time.

If you like to eat a lot of meat that is mushy, this is the right place for you.

Wir waren am 09.12.2023 dort essen. Das Essen war lecker und die Portion angemessen. Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Wir hatten nichts zu beanstanden. Kommen gerne wieder.

Alles in allem ein gutes Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal, gutem Essen und Getränke.

El Paso sounds more exotic then it actually is. This is just a pretty good German style restaurant. Cart with enough choices, of course we mainly went for Schnitzel! They offer a couple of variaties of those and the ones we had were good and portions big! They also feature a salade bar which is the same as the food that comes out of the kitchen; simple but nice tasting! Not outstanding but I would definitely recommend going when you’re into German food! Enjoy… Oh; it is in the town centre. We had no problem parking but it could be an issue. And book in advance just to be sure.

Wir haben zu fünft dort gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und der Service war klasse. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Comimos abundantemente por menos de 100€ cuatro adultos. El ambiente fue muy agradable y el camarero muy amable con nosotros a pesar del idioma. Lo único que puedo achacar es que la carta estaba tan sólo en Alemán, les aconsejo la ponga en un segundo idioma como el inglés también.

Das Essen hat bis auf die Folienkartoffeln ganz gut geschmeckt. Die waren nämlich verbrannt. Auch der Kräuterquark darauf schmeckte nicht gut. Ansonsten aber okay. Der Service war freundlich, aber sehr unorganisiert und langsam. Das Ambiente ist ausbaufähig, zum Beispiel täten ein neuer Innenanstrich und ein paar Gardinen Wunder. Preis und Leistung passen ganz gut zusammen. Insgesamt ist das Restaurant für eine schnelle und günstige Mahlzeit okay, aber nicht für den gemütlichen Abend am Wochenende.

Die Salatbar war übersät mit Fruchtfliegen, das Essen war nicht schlecht, man konnte nicht mit Karte zahlen

Zonet met 4 kinderen en 2 volwassenen gaan eten. Lekker gegeten, lekkere (kleine) saladbar en het vlees was hoe het moest zijn👍Bediening was een zeer aangenaam persoon die rust uitstraalde. Prijzen waren zeer correct! Vb wienerschnitzel+- 250gr was 17€. Een 1/2 liter bier 5.5€ Zeker een aanrader voor een leuke avond....

Erg lekker eten, met een prima salade vooraf. Sfeer kan wat gezelliger wat mij betreft, maar het eten maakt dus een hoop goed. Pinnen is niet mogelijk, dat is anno 2023 toch wel erg kwalijk. Ik vind niet dat je van je gasten kan vragen om naar een geldautomaat te wandelen.

Unter gemütlich verstehe ich was anderes. Salat hatte kein Geschmack. Service naja,Getränke hab ich mir selbst geholt an der Theke,obwohl nur 3 Tische besetzt waren.Wollte mit Karte bezahlen und bekam zur Antwort.....nicht möglich und nach Nachfrage bekam ich zur Antwort....das ist meine Sache. Nein danke, uns werden die nicht wiedersehen

Heute da gegessen alles Super. Man merkt das da ein neuer Besitzer übernommen hat. Wir werden da wieder öfter essen gehen.

Je krijgt veel! Zeer betaalbaar. Gratis parkeren bij bijvoorbeeld de Penny, drie minuten lopen. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. We komen zeker weer een keer terug.

Wij komen hier enkele malen per jaar. Dit is een gezellig intiem grillrestaurant waar je voor een schappelijke prijs je buik vol kan eten. De heer van de bediening is aardig, correct en heeft humor. Het eten is altijd lekker.
