Delicious food! The tapas were great, as were the vegetarian main course (baked cheese with vegetables) and the paella. Our dog was immediately given a portion of water (it was very hot today) and treats in the golden bowl. Nice operator couple! This restaurant is fully recommended. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately the food wasn't my thing. To me it didn't seem freshly cooked. (It seemed to me that the mashed potatoes weren't homemade, the octopus was rubbery) The service was great, nice service. The wine was great. Maybe just the food wasn't convincing. Currently I wouldn't come back for food. But I hope to be able to convince myself of the opposite once again.

The two of us spontaneously went to El Gusto today! We were welcomed like friends. The food was fresh, high quality and more than tasty. The drink recommendations absolutely corresponded to the taste and were a hit. An all-round successful evening and definitely not the last visit. The selection for next time has already been decided. This restaurant is everything but gastronomic and culinary uniformity. Here you can see the love for gastronomy in the way we interact with the guests and also the products on offer.

I had dinner on Whit Monday. The service was great. The cold appetizer platter was a delight! But the best comes last! Lemon ice cream in a squeezed lemon. You have to come up with the idea first. A taste explosion! Craziness! Thank you for the lovely evening!

El Gusto hasn't been around that long. It emerged from its predecessor. I don't know anything about its predecessor(s), but El Gusto is worth a visit. The guest room invites you to linger and the moment comes when time begins to trickle down. A sense of satisfaction sets in and you simply enjoy good food with friends. If you don't have any friends, you'll find some. There are small things to improve. The time between starter and main course was extremely short or non-existent. The feeling of a fast food chain emerged. The Creme Catalan was ultra cold... so let it stand for a moment before eating (it's worth it). The concept is coherent and the owners have good ideas. I wish you both perseverance and long-term success. Halberstadt needs you. I would love to come back!

Since the chef was changed, the restaurant is no longer recommended. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly.

We were in this restaurant for the Spanish evening on March 28, 2024 and can say that a visit there is worth it. The still relatively young team is very welcoming and friendly. The food and drink are of high quality and the ambience is also great. Opinions can be divided about the artistic performance that evening. All in all, it was a great visit.

Authentic, honest, no-frills Spanish cuisine! Food absolutely fresh and delicious. Nuggets for the child HOMEMADE, that's how it should be. The waitresses are lovely, really nice and attentive! There was even a bowl of food for the dog :) absolute recommendation, we felt completely welcome!

We chose the Valentine's Day menu and were not disappointed. Every course was a culinary delight that exceeded our expectations. The ingredients appeared to be fresh and of high quality, which could be tasted in every bite. Not only was the food excellent, but also the service. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which helped us feel particularly welcome and valued. They made sure we didn't lack anything and were always ready to answer our questions or make recommendations. The ambience at El Gusto also contributed to an unforgettable evening. The lovely decor and warm atmosphere made our Valentine's Day dinner even more romantic and enjoyable. In summary, we can say that our visit to El Gusto was a complete success. We felt warmly welcome and enjoyed every minute. The restaurant definitely left a lasting impression and we look forward to our next visit. So it's really a really great restaurant, I'm thrilled. Went there for dinner with my boyfriend as a belated "Valentine's Day" date and it was beautifully and appropriately decorated and the service is wonderful. Ordering went quickly and there was also a very good selection of dishes, the menu was small but still colorful.

Finally a high-class restaurant in the heart of Halberstadt and cannot be compared with its predecessor, El Papagajo. The food is great, the ambience is designed with a lot of feeling and the service responds to almost every guest's request. The El Gusto team doesn't get 5 out of 5 but 6 stars from me 🌟.

We are repeat offenders - it was as always, just cozy, the food was very delicious, the meat was super tender and the recommended red wine went very well with it. Friendly service, good advice - time out for 2 hours, magical for us girls. We are looking forward to the beginning of March, when we will be back with you at the latest, dear Katrin, dear Karsten and team (today with guest chef). It was just cozy, inviting. Delicious fresh food, a little vacation from everyday life, absolutely a feast for the soul, the meat platter is simply delicious - just go and try it yourself. Leider können wir gar nichts bewerten… Der Versuch heute dort zu Mittag zu essen scheiterte direkt daran, dass wir zu zweit !!! keinen Tisch bekamen, obwohl nur 4 Leute im Restaurant saßen. Die Begründung war, dass gleich noch ein „großer Tisch“ kommt und der Koch alleine ist. Ja, was soll ich sagen … 🤷‍♀️😣

War bis jetzt einmal vor Ort hat sich viel verändert nach dem Inhaber Wechsel.Leider hat der Koch auch gewechselt dadurch ist küche leider nicht mehr so großartig wie sie Mal war.Immer noch gut aber nicht überragend.

Hat mit spanischen Essen sehr wenig zu tun. Servicekraft total inkompetent,konnte keine Fragen zu den Speisen beantworten . Das Essen total geschmacklos.

Das Restaurant ist eher für die "feine, Wein trinkende Gesellschaft" ausgelegt. Personal war dennoch freundlich. Es gab Live Musik, Ambiente ist super. Allerdings sehr eng und klein alles. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut, die Speisekarte sollte etwas informativer sein. Ich hatte z. B. Das geschmorte Kaninchen, serviert bekam ich eine etwas bessere "Hühnersuppe" mit Kaninchen drin. Mein Freund hatte Schwein mit Bohnen und Kartoffeln, was sehr lecker war! Preislich liegt alles noch im Rahmen.

Einmal im Jahr lassen wir es uns nicht nehmen in der Bodega richtig lecker zu essen. Unsere Favorit ist der Hut an welchem man das leckere Fleisch ganz nach seinen Wünschen zubereiten kann. Dazu gibt es schmackhafte Dips und verdammt leckere Kartoffeln. Das Personal ist über die ganzen 18 Jahre (seit dem wir das Lokal besuchen) überaus freundlich und immer gut drauf. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Wir haben im Rahmen eines Ausfluges in Halberstadt dort Halt gemacht. Es gab Datteln im Speckmantel, Tomatensuppe. Beides sehr zu empfehlen. Die Tomatensuppe war total frisch! Außerdem kann ich noch des Seehecht empfehlen. Die Inhaberin war sehr freundlich, alles sehr nett. Die teilweisen negativen Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Von mir gibt es klare Empfehlung!

Obwohl ich am Sonntagabend allein unterwegs war, bekam ich entweder einen kleinen Außentisch oder innen einen mit Barhockern, zu 90 Prozent war das Lokal um 18 Uhr schon reserviert. Das Essen schmeckte super und die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und flott. Preise angemessen. 5 Sterne gebe ich nur, wenn auch das Ambiente erstklassig ist, also Stofftischdecken, Deko usw

Wir gehen seit vielen Jahren in dieses Restaurant, doch seit längerem hat es ziemlich nachgelassen.. Unser Highlight, die Große Vorspeisenplatte wurde von Mal zu Mal teurer und kostet jetzt 20 Euro.. für etwas Schinken,Käse & Kartoffeln auf dem Teller wirklich ein Wucher ! Auch die Bedienung durch die Chefin persönlich war alles andere als freundlich. Uns sieht dieses Restaurant nicht mehr.

Das Essen war leider zu gut. Wir bestellten unteranderem 2 Platten, beide sahen nicht nur gut aus sondern waren geschmacklich top. Während des gesamten Abends war die Bedienung immer freundlich und familiär, von aufdringlich kann man definitiv nicht sprechen. Auch die Desserts am Ende waren ein gelungenes Ende des Abends und ich bin mir sicher dass das nicht der letzte Besuch sein wird. :-)

Wir gehören seit Eröffnung der spanischen Bodega "El Papagayo" in Halberstadt mit zu den Stammgästen. Anfänglich monatlich 1 mal, in letzter Zeit berufsbedingt leider nicht mehr so häufig, haben wir dort so manchen schönen Abend in gemütlicher Atmosphäre verbracht. Das Essen ist sehr gut und steht einem Mahl im spanischen Mutterland in nichts nach, vielleicht ist die Würzung etwas "eingedeutscht", aber immer von guter Qualität. Die Bedienung ist schnell und äußerst freundlich, die Wartezeiten auf die frisch!! zubereiteten Speisen angemessen. Auch bei der finalen Abrechnung gibt es keinen Grund zu erschrecken, die Preise sind angemessen und nicht überteuert. Das Getränkeangebot ist sehr ausgeglichen, auch jemand fer nicht auf spanischen Wein, Likör oder Schnaps steht, bekommt dort ein Bierchen (oder auch zwei). Auch alkoholfreie Getränke sind mit einer guten Auswahl vorhanden.

De bediening was gezellig en vriendelijk. tafeltje buiten nog lekker in het zonnetje, maar binnen ziet het er enorm knus uit. Begonnen met de kleine koude tapasplaat, pan con tomate was de topper, maar ook de manchego kaas is heerlijk!! Vervolgens allebei een tortilla, 1 met kaas en tomaat en 1 met chorizo, allebei zalig en enorm machtig!

I guess we arrived a bit late for German standards. At 20:00 we ordered our drinks and a quick treat before ordering our actual meal. We were asked several times if we had made a choice yet because their kitchen closes at 20:30 which we didn't know. Our dinner was rushed to make sure the kitchen staff could go home on time, but we weren't actually done with our first meal yet. The table was completely packed. We would have preferred to know up front, so that we could skip straight to dinner. The food was very nice. Lots of things to choose from and it all looks very nice too. It gets quite hot indoors on a summer evening so if you can, I would suggest sitting outdoors. That also saves you from the annoying electric bird statue sitting near the door and yelling Spanish phrases constantly. Overall just a nice restaurant with a German take on Spanish recipes.

We were a group of 4 people and had all kinds of different dishes (a soup, tortillas, anchovies, seafood platter). It all tasted good, the only thing a missed were homemade dips and especially a homemade ajoli. This would have made the food so much better. All in all it was a nice dinner, maybe a little bit expensive compared to the other restaurants in the area but this is probably due to the ingredients. The red wine was ok, the waitress was friendly and tried to make a spanish appereance. All in all you can go there if you like spanish food and are willing to pay a little extra for it.

Just a short review of the dinner at this restaurant. The perfect stop if you just arrived in the city, searching for something to eat. Location wise perfectly in the city and the food is really good! From Spanish over a bit of Italian meals...
