What makes the whole thing even more pleasant are the bosses, who always ensure a good atmosphere with their warm manner and easy-going sayings. The attention is remarkable; you always feel well looked after. We had a wonderful evening and would definitely like to come back. A real highlight in Halberstadt!

A nice little restaurant with nice, courteous staff but unfortunately average food. The small starter plate with Latschian pimientos with goat cheese on arugula, although gratinated but dry, and a beef fillet rather well done than medium with dry potato wedges and almost entirely without sauce, if you ignore two tiny blobs on the plate, unfortunately do not invite you to eat again. It's a shame, but the drinks were delicious.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be here for breakfast when it opened and we were simply blown away. Great food of absolute top quality! The friendly service immediately makes you feel like you're with friends! Recommendation for everyone who wants to eat well in Halberstadt and relax a little.

A small place to feel good, here they offer, among other things, delicious tappas... I decided not to have aioli with bread in consideration of meeting friends the next day... and if you spend too long at the table with your smartphone, you can Also get a cage for the device and enjoy the delicacies in a relaxed and peaceful manner - without distraction, but in conversation with the people who are also sitting at the table! If I end up here again, I'll be happy to come back, until then good luck to both of you!

The food at El Gusto is delicious. The service is excellent and no glass is left empty 😉. Here the “bosses” serve themselves and usually with a funny saying on their lips! We would be happy to come back and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience!

Delicious food! The tapas were great, as were the vegetarian main course (baked cheese with vegetables) and the paella. Our dog was immediately given a portion of water (it was very hot today) and treats in the golden bowl. Nice operator couple! This restaurant is fully recommended. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately the food wasn't my thing. To me it didn't seem freshly cooked. (It seemed to me that the mashed potatoes weren't homemade, the octopus was rubbery) The service was great, nice service. The wine was great. Maybe just the food wasn't convincing. Currently I wouldn't come back for food. But I hope to be able to convince myself of the opposite once again.

This restaurant is everything but gastronomic and culinary uniformity. Here you can see the love for gastronomy in the way we interact with the guests and also the products on offer.

El Gusto hasn't been around that long. It emerged from its predecessor. I don't know anything about its predecessor(s), but El Gusto is worth a visit. The guest room invites you to linger and the moment comes when time begins to trickle down. A sense of satisfaction sets in and you simply enjoy good food with friends. If you don't have any friends, you'll find some. There are small things to improve. The time between starter and main course was extremely short or non-existent. The feeling of a fast food chain emerged. The Creme Catalan was ultra cold... so let it stand for a moment before eating (it's worth it). The concept is coherent and the owners have good ideas. I wish you both perseverance and long-term success. Halberstadt needs you. I would love to come back!

We were in this restaurant for the Spanish evening on March 28, 2024 and can say that a visit there is worth it. The still relatively young team is very welcoming and friendly. The food and drink are of high quality and the ambience is also great. Opinions can be divided about the artistic performance that evening. All in all, it was a great visit.

The ingredients appeared to be fresh and of high quality, which could be tasted in every bite. Not only was the food excellent, but also the service. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which helped us feel particularly welcome and valued. They made sure we didn't lack anything and were always ready to answer our questions or make recommendations. The ambience at El Gusto also contributed to an unforgettable evening. The lovely decor and warm atmosphere made our Valentine's Day dinner even more romantic and enjoyable. In summary, we can say that our visit to El Gusto was a complete success. We felt warmly welcome and enjoyed every minute. The restaurant definitely left a lasting impression and we look forward to our next visit. So it's really a really great restaurant, I'm thrilled. Went there for dinner with my boyfriend as a belated "Valentine's Day" date and it was beautifully and appropriately decorated and the service is wonderful. Ordering went quickly and there was also a very good selection of dishes, the menu was small but still colorful.

The food was very tasty and I can only recommend it. Service was very good, I felt very comfortable. Ambiance was great.

Finally a high-class restaurant in the heart of Halberstadt and cannot be compared with its predecessor, El Papagajo. The food is great, the ambience is designed with a lot of feeling and the service responds to almost every guest's request. The El Gusto team doesn't get 5 out of 5 but 6 stars from me 🌟.

We are repeat offenders - it was as always, just cozy, the food was very delicious, the meat was super tender and the recommended red wine went very well with it. Friendly service, good advice - time out for 2 hours, magical for us girls.
