El Montadito in Nürtingen

We stumbled across this hidden restaurant by chance. The paella was delicious, the waitress was great and the starters were very tasty. You feel like you're in Spain.

Karl Napf :-)* is my pseudonym, by the way. *(Inventor of the spray-on fried potato) Actually 5 stars, but there's always room for improvement ;-). After what seems like forever, I ate paella again today and I'm absolutely thrilled with this place. My wife, who had paella for the first time, is also absolutely thrilled. The hosts are super nice, the place is a feast for the eyes, and the paella tasted very, very good. The ambiance and comfort are perhaps rather simple, but the hosts' attention to detail and their friendly manner are heartwarming. Furthermore, the prices aren't exorbitant. It's just a shame that this lovely restaurant, although close to the center of Nürtingen, isn't very easy to find. We will definitely actively recommend this place, because it would be a shame if it were no longer there one day. PS I've read many reviews here and can only say: "talking to each other helps." I first called and inquired about the Schlemmerblock (a snack bar). Then we drove there when we had the chance to get a firsthand look and were very impressed. Anyone who needs the Schlemmerblock when they're eating paella for €22 has lost their mind.

When we made our reservation, we were asked whether we wanted paella or tapas. Tapas was our answer...and what wasn't available that evening was tapas. If one or the other is out of stock, we understand. However, it's a real shame that there are no tapas available at all, even though we had asked about it when we made our reservation. Aside from paella and some fish, there was nothing available. We left.

The Schlemmerblock (food block) wasn't accepted, even though this restaurant is listed there. Absolutely unacceptable. We only found out about this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock (food block) and were then denied access. It's truly a disgrace and a real shame. The food was good, but we're so annoyed that we won't be coming back.

Very tasty food and friendly service. I'd gladly go back.

We had paella. There was nothing else available, as there was apparently a party the day before, and the guests ate everything except paella. It wasn't really good for us, since we had made a special reservation beforehand. Hence two stars less!

Finally a great Spanish restaurant in Nürtingen ❤️ super tasty starter and paella for 2 people with a bottle of red wine for 60 euros - absolute recommendation 👍

I went there with my girlfriend to enjoy a delicious meal. We got our first disappointment when we were told they didn't accept the gourmet book. Then we had to get our own drinks. OK, that was a change, but we just did it. The menu isn't exactly extensive, but it's okay. Ordering the food was very complicated; we had to order three tapas, which wasn't easy since half of them were missing. What we got was very simple (not worth the price) but delicious. It's a shame, we were looking forward to a lovely evening with Spanish food.

4.6* is not even remotely justified for me, I wonder where these reviews come from. There is no relationship between price and performance. The gourmet block that had attracted us and other guests present was not accepted and was canceled. Apart from paella, there is no real main course, and some foods were not even available. I can only strongly advise against this location.

We finally ended up here via the Schlemmerblock on Friday evening after making a reservation. The first thing we were told was that the gourmet block was not accepted and that they had given notice there. We were curious and stayed anyway. ...and unfortunately I've never been disappointed before: the boss cooks and does the service herself. For this reason You have to help yourself to drinks from the fridge. Basically it wouldn't be a disaster for me. When ordering, she immediately emphasized that not everything was available, but she didn't say what at first, paella would take 30 minutes if it wasn't ordered in advance. We slowly became suspicious...Unfortunately, there is actually no main course apart from paella. There are tapas and the other dishes are basically just tapas. We ended up ordering gambas ailio, patatas bravas, lomo in a bun and gambas baked with squid rings: in the patatas the aoli ​​was mixed directly with the potatoes and were quite ok. but for € 9.90 a small portion. The Gambas Ailo had no flavor. The lomo was 8 slices of air-dried pork fillet slices on a crunchy bun grilled with oil. Even for “to go” it’s an imposition. The squid rings were also quite tasteless and the 4 thick prawns in the shell were quite good. Oh yes: of course my original requested seafood salad wasn't there. Since the boss wasn't unsympathetic, I told her my disappointment in a friendly way when I was paying and tried to explain, because I thought if you told her she might be able to do better. But she just said we were the first ones who weren't happy. If so, that would explain the 4.7 rating. For me at least: never again: it's a shame about the money we left there.

A restaurant visit of an unusual kind. There is a lot of emphasis on the “feel at home” feeling. What is unusual at the beginning turns out to be a great opportunity to spend a great evening with your fellow human beings. The ambience and the food selection is manageable. But that's the charm. But the highlight is the food! Both the tapas and the paella are highly recommended. The latter takes around 30 minutes to prepare. Feel free to try the restaurant. It would be a shame if it disappeared from Nürtingen.

The owner is very nice and tries hard to give his guests a “home feeling”. We ate paella, which we had to order in advance. Fresh and delicious seafood. I would give El Montadito 3.5 stars overall. Taste: ok; Portion: too small for 2 people and price: not justified (considering the portion).

If you just want to experience a slightly different evening, El Montadito is the right place for you. Such warm people, such delicious food and such a great evening that we had there. You only know something like that from vacation. Thank you very much for a wonderful, eventful evening.

It was a very nice evening at El Montadito. The food was very tasty. Everything tasted really good to us. The service was relaxed and extremely friendly 👍 It was pointed out that it can sometimes take a little longer, but our orders came very quickly. We weren't in a hurry anyway, so it was all the more pleasant to enjoy this relaxed atmosphere. We would spend a relaxing evening in this rustic tapas bar again at any time. Muchas gracias 😍

Alles echt super lecker...Paella ist auch toll...am Besten vorbestellen...dann ist sie fertig wenn man kommt...draussen sollte man reservieren.

Das ist in meinen Augen ein absoluter Geheimtipp für Menschen, die sich nicht zu schade sind mal zum Kühlschrank zu gehen und sich das Wasser oder den Rose 🍷selbst zu holen, belohnt wird man mit einer super leckeren Paella. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr liebe, manchmal nicht ganz perfekte, aber mit unheimlich viel Herz arbeitende Gastgeber. Mit dieser Freundlichkeit gleichen sie manche kleine Fehler mehr als aus. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben. Es wird sehr gutes, schmackhaftes Essen in einem wirklich fairen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angeboten. Manchmal muss man sicher etwas Geduld aufbringen, aber das ist der Tatsache geschuldet, dass sie den ganzen Laden zu zweit schmeißen. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet, dafür meinen besonderen Respekt. Am Wochenende empfiehlt sich eine Tischreservierung. Als Fazit lässt sich sagen, manchmal ist Einfaches, nett verkauft einfach gut. Vielen Dank für das schöne Erlebniss Stefan Hammer

Man kann hier sehr gemütlich im Gewölbe Keller drinnen und auch draußen sitzen. Wir hatten sehr leckere Tapas mit Thunfisch Salat. Meeresfrüchte und Bocadillo Jamon Manolo

Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, bei den Tapas bin ich aus Spanien eine größere, andere Auswahl gewohnt. Am Anfang gab es gleich einen kleinen Gruß aus der Küche, sowie zum Abschluss einen Espresso und einen Veterano auf’s Haus. Das ist schon sehr großzügig. Freundliches, sehr bemühtes, aber leider unprofessionelles Ehepaar, das das Restaurant führt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind zu dunkel, die Speisekarte ist zu klein gedruckt. Ohne Handy Lampe wäre es nicht möglich gewesen, die Speisekarte zu entziffern. Trotz gewisser Ungereimtheiten, kann man einen Besuch empfehlen. Auch sollte sich jeder seine eigene Meinung bilden.

Familiäre atmosphäre. Vielleicht ein bisschen chaotisch aber eher unterhaltsam als störend. Und das essen war erstklassig!

Essen und Service sind Klasse und man ist hier im Gespräch mit dem Kunden und variabel in den Möglichen, außerhalb der Karte.

Super Lecker absolut urige rustikale Einrichtung, einfach super. Wir hatten Paella vorbestellt so haben wir uns die mindestens 30 min warte Zeit erspart, Der Chef ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit mit seiner liebensweien etwas chaotischen Art. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und hatten ein wunderbaren Abend. Prädikat besonders empfehlenswert.

Wenn man tapas im Touri Restaurant in Spanien gewöhnt ist…völlig in Ordnung. Kulinarische Höchstleistung ist was anderes. Einfallslos & Geschmacksneutral. Raumtemperatur ist definitiv zu kalt. Gastgeber ist bemüht & nett, allerdings von Gastronomie wenig Ahnung. Ich wünsche ihm & seiner Frau gutes Durchhaltevermögen. Und eventuell mal einen ehrlichen, spanischen Freund der ihnen zeigt wie man spanische tapas serviert.

Wir waren am Samstag in Nürtingen unterwegs und Abends beim El Montadito essen. Der Gastgeben was sehr sehr freundlich und hat sich große mühe gegeben. Wir empfanden die Temperatur im Lokal als kühl was aber noch im Rahmen war. Bestellt haben wir einen Tempranillo.. leider war dieser aus und wir haben dann eine Altanative des Gastgebers bestellt die sehr lecker war. Zum Wein gab es einen Teller mit Oliven, Käse, Schinken und Brot. Leider waren nicht alle Speisen von der Karte verfügbar aber es gab Altanativen. Die weißen Bohnen wurden kalt mit ein wenig Paprikapulver serviert. In unseren Augen ein no go. Alles andere war gut und ganz besonders hat uns die Tortilla geschmeckt. Preislich war es in unseren Augen etwas zu teuer.

Durch einen zufälligen Beitrag auf Facebook sind wir auf das Restaurant gestoßen und mussten es ausprobieren. Das Restaurant liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, Parkplätze sind etwas Mangelware. Die Besitzer sind den ganzen Besuch über super herzlich und zuvorkommend gewesen, wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls zum wohlfühlen. Wir hatten jeweils 5 Tapas pro Person, Garnelenpfanne mit Calamari und die Bogadillos. Alles war super lecker und die Auswahl ausreichend. Wir kommen wieder!
