The best Greek restaurant in all of Herten! And beyond. I'm always very satisfied here, so I won't even write more. Details would only detract from the overall goodness!

A Greek restaurant that reheats food from a can is not recommended. If the kitchen closes at 2 p.m., there's no way you'll get even a glass of water at 2:01 p.m. I ordered and received tzatziki from the supermarket packaging, dolmadakia from a can (heated further – what a disgrace), and a gyro salad whose meat smelled and tasted rancid. No one there has anything to do with Greece. What a waste of time and money on my part.

Unfortunately, the Greek restaurant isn't near us, otherwise we would go there more often. I think that says it all. We felt completely at home. The food was excellent and the outdoor area was lovely.

A very good restaurant, always very busy. Reservations are recommended, but you can also grab a table spontaneously. They also offer very good meat (e.g., beef steak) alongside the Greek food. Service is always busy, but I wish (in many restaurants) the waiters were more attentive... Would you like something to drink? I think they could generate more sales and give me a sense of attention with a discreet question. They did, however, ask if everything was/is okay, and of course, you can also call the waiter. All in all, I recommend it and wish you all the best if you visit the restaurant. Best regards

Were here in 2025. The food was very good. The quality of the food was good. Service was not very friendly. Ordered 6 different dishes, and 2 were incorrect and delayed. Payment by credit card is only possible in the restaurant. Somewhat inflexible when it comes to splitting the bill.

The lamb platter is highly recommended. At first, it seems a little small on the plate, but it's more than enough. Very friendly service.

One of the best Greek restaurants in the area. We received a very friendly welcome and felt very welcome and comfortable from the very first minute. The food was excellent and very varied. A beautiful garden terrace with a view of the village fountain adds even more charm. This is exactly how I imagine a relaxed meal out.

A lovely restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. I wanted to try the house cocktail, but when I asked what it was, the answer was: too much alcohol...! The gyro, the side salad, and the pita were very tasty. The chocolate soufflé was also good. The service was attentive, but communication was a bit difficult at times. If the weather is nice, I recommend making a reservation, as it was packed.

First, the appetizer. I would have liked more sauce for the grilled pepperoni. The main course was amazing. The lamb platter. Every piece was cooked to perfection. Wow 🥹 The dessert was also delicious and homemade. We'll definitely be back. I absolutely recommend coming here 👍 I just returned from vacation in Greece and wished I had this quality 😉

Update: I'm sorry to say I'm very disappointed. We ordered a platter for 2 people. Here we wanted lamb instead of turkey steaks. They said it wasn't a problem but there was an extra charge, totally ok! We ended up with €10!! Paid more, so even more than the more expensive platter of lamb cost. I found it very weak! Super nice service! Great selection and the portions are so big that you should consider getting a starter, I didn't manage it! The tzatziki is fresh and the meat is juicy. I think prices are fair. Sanitary facilities are clean. The unfortunate thing is that unfortunately you can't pay with a VISA. Information on the door might be a good idea.

We're there so often, they probably know our ordering habits better than we do. Gyros? Always. Tzatziki? Extra much. Dessert? Of course, we are not made of stone. The portions are huge, the team is super friendly, and you feel like you're at a Greek family celebration - only without having to do the dishes afterwards. In short, if we're not at El Greco, we're probably thinking about going again. 😄🇬🇷

Pretty much THE best restaurant in Herten. Been here many times and each time the service and food has been great and the value for money is phenomenal. I can only recommend it to every friend of Greek cuisine. I would also like to praise the staff again at this point, as the employees are incredibly nice and courteous. Definitely make a reservation in the evening!

As a starter a salad and ouzo are offered. We ate Bifteki and it was delicious. The atmosphere is also very good. The staff are very friendly. There is also a parking lot for restaurant customers.

A warm welcome despite the restaurant being full, something that others can't even do when it's half empty. We were escorted to our reserved table without hesitation. This continued quickly throughout our visit. The menu is clearly laid out and has something for every taste. The food was served warm and the plates were beautifully presented. The portions were sufficient and we really enjoyed it. Despite how busy the place was, it was never overly loud. Parking spaces are available. Two small comments at the end. The situation with the entrance door in cold weather is not very pleasant in the front area. After visiting the restaurant, the clothes went straight into the washing machine. But we'd love to come back.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately there was a small mishap on the second visit, for which the waiter sincerely apologized. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food is really delicious, we had the mixed plate and the Odysseus plate. The only thing we didn't know was the baklava that we ordered as dessert. It tasted a bit like a refrigerator.

The Greek restaurant was visited after work a few months ago on the recommendation of a guest and is now a regular part of our stay in the region. Very tasty food, friendly and courteous staff. The ambience is a little old and could be improved here and there, but it wasn't a major problem. Especially in summer, the seats outside the restaurant are wonderful and a visit is highly recommended!

We were here for the first time yesterday, the staff is super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and looked great, you didn't have to wait very long. The prices are still ok. You can also find something under €20. You can recommend it. We'll definitely be back.

Our lunchtime visit to El Greco was a pleasant accident. The restaurant we planned to visit was closed. The restaurant is on a small Platz with almost no traffic. Very quiet. The waiter was attentive and very friendly. We ordered the Lamb Haxe and a Gyros Plate. The Gyros Plate was very good and the Haxe was excellent. Prices were reasonable for top quality food. We all plan to visit again.

If you're looking for a nice Greek atmosphere you won't find it here, but the food is really good. My family and I have tried several meat platters and we can't complain. The portions are typically large, just like you get in Greece. As someone who has traveled to Athens, I can definitely say that they succeed in showing the essence of Greek cuisine. Remember that even the appetizer portions are large too! The service is also okay. Only once did one of the waiters trip and accidentally spill water on my mother and then act like it was her fault. But we always end up joking about it, maybe he was a twin or something.

Very good price-performance ratio! No matter what I order, it tastes great. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Order requests are implemented perfectly. Very fast service even with a large group. On our second visit we were warmly welcomed, as if we had been regular guests or acquaintances for decades.

Food delicious Portions great everyone very friendly We ate at El Greco today, everyone was very friendly, no long waiting times. Food was beautifully prepared and tasty. Since the portions are generous and I'm not a big eater (which pleases my husband), I was able to bring him the rest. The nice man was very surprised and asked if something was wrong, as I still had a lot on my plate, when I explained to him that I wanted to take the rest to my husband, he was relieved. When I got home I looked in the transport box and saw that he had added an extra portion of tzatziki. That's why I wanted to thank you here because I only saw it at home. Thank you

Yesterday there were five of us at El Greco. Everyone ordered something different and it was all delicious. The service was also great, very friendly and really personable. We will definitely eat there again. I still have two small points of criticism: salt was sprinkled on the pita and so it was too salty for me. The reservation wasn't confirmed to us, so we had to make a phone call to make sure there was actually room.

Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie dort die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und geduldig mit Kinder. Das Essen war Top die Portionen sind gross. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis unschlagbar!

Einmal hatte ich einen Salat Gyros gegessen mit Frenchdressing, das war leider nicht so lecker. Dressing war nicht gut und das Gyros auch nicht. Essig Öl mundet besser. Das Lammkotlett war dagegen sehr lecker. Die Portion hätte aber auch von allem etwas mehr sein können. Leider mussten wir sehr lange auf unser Essen warten. Das könnte man besser organisieren, mit einem Gruß aus der Küche oder eine veränderte , kleinere Speisekarte zu Feiertagen. Ein kleine Flasche Wein gab es aber noch. Der war wirklich sehr lecker. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Laut Internet Essen für knapp 58 € bestellt und an der Kasse dann knapp 72 € bezahlt. Als Grund wurde eine alte Preisliste erwähnt die schon lange nicht mehr gültig wäre. Als Kunden kommt man sich da verarscht vor….
