We were with you today for lunch. The food was a dream. A lovely young lady fulfilled our every wish. The food was a delight of the finest. We will be back.

The atmosphere was fantastic; you felt like you were in Greece. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The food was really good; we haven't had such a good meal in a long time. We'd love to come back.

I was a bit disappointed after the sooooo good reviews. The atmosphere is great. We felt like we were in Greece. The food was okay, grade C...the meat and buttered rice were completely tasteless, and the pide bread was as tough as rubber. Such a shame.

Very nice atmosphere and very friendly service. Meat and fish dishes are really taste great but some sour fish sauces and vegetables side dishes are not really for everyone. The veggies were a lil not enough cooked and some people complaint about sour (too much lemon) sauces. Chocolate desert is great. Overall, 5 star!!

The food was delicious and served quickly, even though the place was busy. There's also a good selection for vegetarians. The service was very friendly and attentive. The interior is exceptional – all the walls and ceilings are beautifully painted, which impressed me. However, it's located in the basement, so there's no natural light. However, the noise level in the room was a bit annoying due to the many guests. We had to speak quite loudly to be heard by the people across the room, which is one star less for that. Parking is scarce on-site, so we had to park a bit further away. In summary – recommended.

An absolute revelation! The appetizer platter was a poem – homemade tzatziki, spicy dolmadakia, perfectly fried calamari. For my main course, I had the grilled lamb fillet – tender as butter, aromatically seasoned, and grilled to perfection. It was served with fresh pita bread and a crisp salad with authentic Greek feta. What I particularly liked: the attention to detail. Everything tastes homemade, freshly prepared, and served with a lot of heart. The service was also outstanding – attentive, friendly, and with a genuine passion for good food. I'm thrilled and will definitely be back. If you love Greek food or are simply looking for an authentic escape from everyday life, this is the place for you. 5 out of 5 stars – and if I could, I'd give it even more!

This was our first time there and certainly won't be our last. As we descend into the cellar, we are greeted by the cozy ambiance and good vibe. The food came quickly without a long wait, and what can I say? We had the fish platter for two people and it was amazing. The service was friendly and quick, and the chef helped out and spread a good mood despite the place being full. A perfect evening.

We've rarely eaten soooo well. We had a gyro bowl. It was new to us and very tasty. The staff was very attentive. We'll definitely be back.

A bomb, not a place. The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is warm, the music is on point. But the main thing is the people. Especially the waiter Kosta. He is not just a person who brings food. He is a person who feels the guests. He knows the menu like the back of his hand, but most importantly, he knows how to listen and advise as if you were visiting an old friend. My father, who has lived and seen, said: "I have never met such a warm and professional waiter in Germany." And I completely agree with him.

El Greco is my absolute favorite restaurant for Greek food in Augsburg. The restaurant is small, but the atmosphere is wonderful. You're immersed in a little piece of Greek culture. The service is always friendly and very informal. The food tastes delicious every time. I recommend everyone to spend at least one evening at El Greco and let themselves be enchanted.

Always great quality! However, it's a real shame that the wonderful vegetarian moussaka is no longer available... 😢 We don't find the other vegetarian alternatives particularly appealing or special. Please bring it back!

The entire package was, as always, a dream. Since we had specified that it was a wedding anniversary meal with our best friends (there were six of us in total), our table was lovingly decorated with candles and roses. The service was simply fantastic! Very attentive and courteous, but without being intrusive! Our waiter's name was Giannis, simply amazing! Our food was extremely delicious and the portions more than generous! All in all, a perfect gourmet evening in a fantastic atmosphere.

We had dinner on May 8th, 2025 on the occasion of my birthday. The table was beautifully set. We had a great waiter who was very friendly and attentive. We often eat here. The food was good. I just think it's a shame that the prices are increased and in return the portions are smaller. The fish platter only serves vegetables. Unfortunately, the potatoes are no longer available; they were available until recently. The tzatziki would also like to be spicier.

Via the common entrance down into the Greek Empire. Great atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff (everyone greets you). The food within 9 minutes! Our registration was for a birthday, the table was decorated with rose petals and at the end we were given a small bottle of white wine. There was enough leftover platter for two and there's even a portion for the next day!

The only thing that isn't bad is something that most Greeks I know have... there was 1 ouso beforehand, but the ouso afterwards was unfortunately missing. Nevertheless, we'll be back 😄. Not really! The service was very friendly! She was quick, but the scampi had a grill that wasn't really visible and just tasted like flour and mushy! The grilled vegetables were just floury and mushy, but without any major signs of roasting! Less, but more delicious!

It's not ideal for people with limited mobility, as the restaurant is in the basement and the seating is very cramped. It was very cold and brisk in the corner, and the ventilation was directed right down there.

Unfortunately, the food came to the table already cold. In addition, there were incorrect products on the plate, which were then simply removed from the plate by the waitress, even though I had already started eating. The quality of the products was poor: potatoes mushy, oily and without taste. Vegetable rice dry and sticky. Coleslaw oily and sour, as well as the "supplied" peppers. Unfortunately overall inedible.

Food was good with a little vopa, service was very friendly but we didn't get an Uzo, only when we asked as we were leaving did 2 of the 6 people get one.

We had reserved in advance. I recommend this as this restaurant always seems to be busy. The furnishings and ambience in the basement are great. The food was very good, priced at the top. We had a complaint and we would have expected a different reaction. Nevertheless, this was investigated and we received a bottle of wine as compensation. It would have been nice to find an ouzo at the end, which apparently isn't common in this restaurant.

Best Greek in the universe. We have been regular guests at El Greco for years and have never had anything to complain about. The food is fantastic to gigantic. Ambiance: fantastic, boss well what can you say about the boss: thoroughbred boss through and through, simply the best host. Not to mention the always very, very good, absolutely competent and friendly staff. Every visit becomes an absolute culinary delight. Reservations are a must and the idea of ​​reserving online was a successful idea. Thank you Spyro, thank you Nicole, Hamed, Kosta and all the other kitchen gems.

Dear El Greco team, unfortunately I and my family were very disappointed on Saturday 10/26/24! The souflaki on the various plates was unfortunately very dry and tough! Please also leave out the fried zucchini flakes (wafer-thin sliced ​​pieces) from the cold starter plates. It doesn't taste good and is probably just there to fill your plate! There are better dishes out there,,! What was it about? At 85 euros for 2 people you are now in the upper range. Please don't give up!

Tastes great and portions are huge

It was extremely dark at the table so we could barely read the menu. The food wasn't good for the price. Veggie plate: Vegetables almost raw and hardly seasoned, certainly not with herbs or garlic, that were just put on the grill (too) briefly. 3 halves of peppers, 2 mini slices of zucchini and 1 mini slice of eggplant. Raw eggplants don't work at all! After a complaint it became a little cooked but actually not enough. Haloumi skewer is therefore almost cold and no better because it has no spices and is rubbery. Vegetarian mousaka: o.k. but by no means freshly prepared. Both dishes included farmer's salad and tzatziki. The latter is the only really good thing. The farmer's salad was o.k. but hardly dressed, unfortunately without olives. Disappointing except for the friendly service.

We were there again last night for our 2nd wedding anniversary. To be honest, I don't remember how many times we were there. It's just a damn tasty meal and Mr. Kosta really sweetened our evening with his nice and friendly manner. Thank you for that!

I've been to Greeks all over Germany but this is by far the best shop. If I have my way, you have gained a new regular customer. The waitress, Miss Nicolle, is super nice and very personable. 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 is honestly not enough. A little hint I missed the Greek famous dressing in the salad. But charging is absolutely recommended.
