El Poeta de la Cocina Fusion Latina en Alemania! David was a very gracious host guiding us through the menu and explaining the motif behind it. We had 2 different entrees and two main dishes. They were all excellent! We specially appreciate David's culinary expertise regarding vegetarian plates. The veggie schnitzel is absolutely fantastic! My sea bass with ripe plantain in a spicy sauce was simply terrific. I only regret not knowing about this place sooner!

War jetzt das erste mal dort. Da ich gerne und regelmäßig Essen gehe, nehme ich auch gern die 75km in kauf, und die Entscheidung war Goldwert. Essen war wirklich wunderbar und sehr lecker. Ein Geschmackserlebnis für den Gaumen. Man kennt so in unseren breiten eher selten den Geschmack, Gewürze, Öle usw. Und die Kochbanane ist Top. So auch noch nie gegessen. Der Service ist Tiptop und sehr freundlich. Für mich 5***** Sterne absolut verdient. Macht weiter so.

We just had dinner at El Chalet during our vacation in Prunn. We were so impressed by the food and the incredibly friendly boss that I am now writing a review on Google for the first (and probably only) time. There were flavors that I didn't know. The sauces were one of the highlights for me. If it weren't for 600km separating us from Riedenburg - we would come more often to eat, drink and chat. Clear recommendation!

We recently had a cooking class on site. The owner is super nice and lives for his job as a chef. The atmosphere was bombastic and the food was terrific. We also learned something about the history of Peru. 10/10 absolute recommendation

Caution: delicious! We live far, far away, but this was the second time we've been there. The first time more or less by chance - actually just to quench our thirst for cycling. Then we ate something. Yesterday we specifically stopped at El Chalet, because it tasted so good the first time. And why? 1. Very gracious operators. Friendly and helpful. 2. Very good food. The menu meanders a bit through Latin American, currently there are more Peruvian recipes. But it doesn't really matter where the focus is: it tastes good. Actually very good. The plates are also a feast for the eyes. 3. The prices may be a little higher, but we think they are completely reasonable. 4. We would love to come back.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend, der Blick auf die Burg und Donau sind unglaublich und das Essen auch . Und zwar unglaublich gut - besonders, schön angerichtet und mit tollem Geschmack. Tolle kleine Karte mit sehr netter freundlicher Bedienung. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. Es lohnt sich - eine Wohltat zwischen dem sonst allgegenwärtigen Schweinebraten und co. Wow, this restaurant is absolutely amazing! The chefs put so much love and passion into their food that you can just taste it. The dishes are incredibly tasty and the variety really blows you away. I mean, the ingredients are so fresh that you feel like you're in Colombia. The aromas are amazing and the taste explosions really make you freak out with joy. And the people there are really nice and friendly. You feel like you're with good old friends. The whole atmosphere is super cozy and really invites you to linger. I'm telling you, if you're up for an unforgettable taste experience, then you definitely have to stop by here. Honestly, I'm totally thrilled and will definitely be back soon to be pampered by the love and passion in this restaurant again! Go there guys, you won't regret it!

El Chalet at Prunn Castle offers first-class Peruvian cuisine that impresses both in terms of taste and appearance. The dishes are true works of art. Just as an example - the starter Vinicunca is a picture of Rainbow Mountain in Peru :) Taste - excellent! Particularly noteworthy are the lemonades - very tasty and not too sweet. The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful, and the absolute highlight is the view of Prunn Castle and the river. Definitely worth a visit!

An exceptionally beautiful experience! We didn't know what to imagine as Peruvian fusion cuisine. Now we know - flavors that were previously completely unknown to us and that literally explode on the palate and leave a lasting impression. Plus great service in an environment that couldn't be more beautiful. We will be back and can only recommend every visitor to the Altmühltal to eat there!

Husband and I were visiting from Canada and happened to go to the neighbouring castle, Burg Prunn. We were initially looking for just a coffee, but spoke to Chef David about food and he took very special care to make sure that my meal was completely gluten free! We had the Pollo Peruano and Cappuccinos. It was absolutely amazing sitting on a deck outside next to a castle and enjoying one of the most delicious meals I have had in a while! Highly recommend.

A great restaurant, with a great view, super nice staff. The food was exceptional and delicious. We had several starters, various main courses including tapas and of course a dessert. For us the best restaurant in the area. We will be back :-)

Excellent food, attentive service, the boss came out personally and asked if it was tasty. Reasonable prices and a view of the castle. Even the espresso was above average. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Oh yes and a good selection of beers including advice on what goes with the food.

Took my wife here for lunch on our anniversary. The atmosphere is great with top notch customer service. The quality of food is excellent and the best food I have tasted while in Europe. This is a restaurant everyone should try!

It was my first time trying Colombian food. It was very delicious. Everything I ordered was delicious. In addition to the food being delicious, the atmosphere and service were also very impressive.

Food and drinks ok, but too expensive. A small mug of coffee €3.90, a dessert piece of apple strudel with a scoop of vanilla ice cream €7.50. That is definitely too high. Ambience was ok, service was a bit slow - probably due to the high number of visitors.

Unfassbar gute und frische Fusionsküche gepaart mit einem traumhaften Ausblick. Leider gibt es keine Schilder, die zum El Chalet hinführen, aber einfach zum Schloss Prunn fahren. Kann mir nicht vorstellen - auch durch die super freundlichen Betreiber aus Peru - dass hier jemand unzufrieden geht. Eine absolute Empfehlung, auch für Veganer und Vegetarier 🥑. Wir kommen wieder!

It was an amazing experience. When I saw the Peruvian menu I was sceptical because the offer was not authentic Peruvian food (I am Peruvian) but a fusion. Once I tasted the food I was speechless. It uses Peruvian ingredients but the concept and the idea behind it has been adapted to the locality. Not only was the taste amazing, but the service was exceptional. David, the chef, came up to us and told us his story and how he came up with such an authentic offer. We could feel his passion and love in his words and in his food and were blown away by it. Do yourself a flavor and try the Hähnchen Peruano. Definitely a hidden gem.

The restaurant's ambience is charming and inviting, perfect for a special occasion or just an enjoyable evening. The service was first class - attentive, friendly and always willing to make recommendations and accommodate special requests. Particularly noteworthy was the attention to detail that was evident in every aspect of the meal - from the appealing presentation to the exquisite flavor nuances. The culinary creations are evidence of a talented kitchen team that knows their craft. Fresh, high-quality ingredients have been creatively combined.

The experience, the attention and the food are some of the best experiences we had. Chef David is great.

Excellent restaurant with great service. We actually just wanted to look at the castle on Sunday and enjoy the view. Then we decided to have a coffee in the restaurant, unfortunately it was very crowded. Nevertheless, the innkeeper tried to get us a seat after a short wait. The food was so delicious that we ordered a little something to go with it. The potato wedges were very, very tasty. The price-performance ratio is right. The service is friendly and accommodating. Overall we felt very comfortable. Recommendation: if you are planning a trip to the castle, you should reserve seats in advance.

Even if the pricing is a bit complicated and a daily price for a complete bathroom is €37, it is still very justified considering all the technical and personnel effort. We were there during the week, no holidays etc., absolutely great and were able to enjoy all the facilities. The new thermal baths are a pleasure, the saunas were already in the previous thermal baths, which is also very high praise here. We'll definitely be back.

We were sightseeing on a Sunday and “landed” at this restaurant by chance. We were even allowed in with the dog! The restaurant is busy, but we still managed to get a table for two people. It's set up more for small/larger groups and the view is phenomenal! But you will also be very spoiled in terms of cuisine: the dishes are all homemade, you can taste the aromas individually, compliments to the boss/cook! As a starter we had the tortilla with minced meat and guacamole, it was very tasty! For the main course, my husband had the burger with fries & I had the Thai bowl with chicken. The burger looked juicy & delicious, but my Thai was a poem of individual perfectly coordinated & combined flavor lines: spicy, but not too much, coconut milk with fresh chicken & the rice perfectly cooked: not too soft & not too hard! We're looking forward to dessert, but we definitely enjoyed the visit & will do it again when we get the chance!

Wir waren Nachmittags nach einer Führung in Prunn dort. Man sitzt super schön im kleinen beschaulichen Biergarten mit Blick auf die Burg. Eiskaffee und Apfelstrudel waren sehr fein 😁

Wir waren Samstag Abend anlässlich meines Geburtstages zum ersten Mal im "El Chalet". Es war nicht sehr viel los, hier ist wohl unterm Tag mehr Betrieb. Für uns war es allerdings sehr von Vorteil. Denn so konnten wir den Chef gleich viel intensiver kennenlernen. Er hat viel von sich und seiner Lebenseinstellung erzählt. Sehr interessant und so versteht man auch besser, dass er das was er tut, mit Herzblut macht. Hier wird "Gast-Freundschaft" wortwörtlich gelebt. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und willkommen. David hat uns jedes Gericht bezüglich Zutaten und Zubereitung gut erklärt und sowohl Vorspeise als auch Hauptgang waren mega lecker. Vor allem die Kochbanane war der Geschmacksexplosionswahnsinn. Wir können das "El Chalet" jedem sehr empfehlen und werden selbst sicher auch bald wieder zu Luz und David fahren. DANKE, dass wir euere Gäste sein durften.

Wer das Schloss Prunn besucht, muss unbedingt hier essen gehen! Das Essen war fantastisch! Die Gastgeber sind so herzlich und man merkt ihnen an, mit wieviel Leidenschaft sie kochen. Alles frisch und von Hand gemacht. Auch für Vegetarier absolut empfehlenswert. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder!

Essen ist lecker aber noch steigerungsfähig. Ambiente schlicht funktional aber kreativ und geschmackvoll. Wasserhähne teilweise defekt. Lage und Aussicht ist natürlich toll.

Dann fährst Du mit Deiner Familie mit dem Radl durch Franken und erwartest gut-bürgerliche fränkische Küche, die ja grundsätzlich auch nicht zu verachten ist. 9 von 10 Gaststätten entsprechen auch genau diesem Stereotyp. Als wir im El Chalet reserviert haben, dachten wir uns dass dies eher auch ein Einheitsbrei sein wird: einer der noch ein wenig kolumbianisches Mitbringsel hat und noch ein Schnitzel und Burger auf der Karte hat. Weit gefehlt: David zusammen mit seiner Frau brachte uns verschiedene Elemente der kolumbianischen Küche in Form von Tapas näher: Garnelen Chevice, Arepas, überraschende Kochbananen (Platanos) mit Pesto und Burrata usw.. Und: der Burger unserer Tochter war allererste Sahne. Kurz: geniesst den Abend und lasst Euch überraschen. Eine kleine, aber solide und weltoffene Karte.

Toda una experiencia gastronómica! Estuvimos en un viernes comiendo Tapas del mundo y todo fue espectacular, sólo puedo recomendar!

Wir haben einen Schulausflug zur Burg Prunn gemacht und haben unsere große Gruppe (ca 130 Kinder) vorab angemeldet. Leider war trotzdem nichts hergerichtet, sodass wir sehr lange auf Pommes und Eis warten mussten und nicht alle Kinder etwas bekommen haben, da bis dahin schon unser Bus kam. Pommes, Eis und Getränke waren überteuert und es gab ausschließlich Plastik-Geschirr und -Becher. Sehr schade, weil wir mit unseren Grundschulkindern in den Wochen vorab mehrmals thematisiert haben, dass sie Plastikmüll vermeiden sollen.

Ich habe mich richtig wohl bei David und Luz Gefühlt, die bride sind richtige Gastgeber. Das Essen war richtig lecker!!! Service ist mega, alles super freundlich und Profis. Ich kann Das Chalet für alle eure Events empfehlen ☺️☺️☺️

Ich war kürzlich im Restaurant El Chalet und war absolut begeistert von dem Essen und den Aufsicht. Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielfältig und bietet eine große Auswahl an Gerichten aus verschiedenen lateinamerikanischen Ländern. Ich habe die Kochbanane mit Käse und Bohnen probiert und sie waren einfach köstlich. Die Bananas waren schön süß und weich und der Käse war geschmolzen und cremig. Die Bohnen waren gut gewürzt und hatten eine schöne Textur. Mein Mann hat die "Cazuela de mariscos" also Fisch und Meeresfrüchte Suppe gegessen und auch das war sehr lecker. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und das Ambiente des Restaurants ist sehr gemütlich. Ich kann das Restaurant El Chalet jedem empfehlen, der sich gerne von lateinamerikanische Welt positiv überraschen mag. Außerdem gibt es in Riedenburg en schöne Burg an der Seite des Restaurant mit ein ganz besonders tolle Blick! Wunderbar! Manchmal gibt es sogar live Musik und sogar ein Festival Latino habe ich auch dort erlebt in dem wunderschöne und vor allem günstige latinoamerikanische Produkte zum Kaufen gibt!

Spektakuläre Aussicht, leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal, schöne Musik und eine sehr lebendige Atmosphäre. Einfach gesagt, alles ist gut!

Fantastisches Essen mit Ausblick. Der Chef so unglaublich gastfreundlich und für jeden Witz zu haben. Gutes Essen mit musikalischer Untermalung. Burger, wie mexikanische Gerichte, Nachspeisen und Co. sehr sehr lecker. Ein Highlight absolut die Kochbanane. Die Kombination mit Mozzarella und Pesto außergewöhnlich. Wir kommen sicher wieder 😄

Wer in der Nähe ist, sollte unbedingt hier einkehren und gleich mit einem Besuch auf Burg Prunn verbinden. Im schattigen Biergarten, mit Blick auf die Burg und das Altmühltal, kann man herrlich entspannen. Es gibt leckere Snacks und selbstgemachte Limonade. Wer es sich zeitlich einrichten kann, dem empfehlen wir die kolumbianischen Tapas. Unglaublich lecker und ganz anders als die bekannten Tapas. Alles frisch vom Chef selbst zubereitet. Ein echter Geheimtipp. Gut erreichbar zu Fuß mit Rad oder Auto.
